Escalation process!
November 5, 2015

I have ordered a pair of curtains the 18th of October, they have been dispached the 19thof October, but today I still need to receive the item. Groupon itself can't find the tracking number, neither the shipping company. I have called already 4 times, and I have asked to simply have a refund, the answer has been no, they have to follow the escalation process, this means 5 working days after the item has been dispached, 10 working days after the first 5 working day, and finally after this, and just if I call them, they will process my refund that will take others 7 working days! Great service, professional people, amazing business.

I have only bought restaurant coupons through Groupon, I never had a problem using them and the main reason I use other sites in its place is simply because their deal is only available for one day, and that's not a problem I just like to look into the product, place, service or item I'm thinking of buying.
I run a business myself and I know when things were quiet and we ran a discount on our service that it hindered instead of helped. We were overwhelmed with people all wanting the discount so we ended up giving an ok service to everyone rather than the excellent service to everyone that we are known for.
Groupon was one of the first of it's kind and, I'm just thankful for any respite from rising prices on anything. You have to remember that Groupon is only offering a discount on an existing service, they don't do the offer then try and get the people to comply, they were approached by the business with a request for the discount service, any problems with coupons or vouchers not being accepted are with the business and I expect they would be more likely to second think it if you were to threaten legal action. All in all I think that the restaurant deals are the best, as for the resorts and more expensive deals I would want the business concerned to maybe put a note on their website that they are aware of and will honor the Groupon offers.

I have several issues with the seat and not all of them are their fault.

1. I have purchased several groupon vouchers that I did not end up using, I
Thought I had plenty of time when as time went buy I forgot about them and
Since they expired there was no refund.
2. All the spa treatments I purchased were bogus, they raised prices and gave
You less of a treatment if you had a GO.
3. Many times I have had excessively long waiting periods to get appointments,
If I had paid for the treatments I could get in within a few weeks.
4. Many of the vendors have shown a lack of appreciation for GO customers.

Id rather get a negotiate my own discount then buy a GO so i can get proper service. I had a vendor tell me that with GO they only get. 25 for very $1.00 because. 50 goes to GO and the rest is their cost. What business can survive long like that, no wonder some are a little snappy.
On a positive note buying vouchers that can be manipulated because everyone gets the same thing no matter what they pay (restaurants, haircuts tours etc...)are good deals assuming you use them.

Worst site ever!

I have been trying for over a year to use the website and app. Everytime I want to buy something it does not work. Charges my credit card, then says I have to wait for a refund for 10 days... Then to actually buy acting I have to go through their HELP desk which totally sucks. Emails, Calls, Live Chats... Does ANYONE WORK HERE? Customer Service is WORST EVER. Their Shareholder have NO idea how bad this site is...

I placed two orders through this awful company and both were messed up. I will NEVER EVER shop here again. The first order was 6 pairs of shoes for my bridesmaids. I was excited to see the perfect shoe on their site. I had been looking for months. I finally got the package and open it to find that they had sent me an incorrect size on the 6th pair. I emailed the company to see if I could get a replacement. They told me they were sold out and only offered a refund. I was so mad! This was a huge error on their part. The correct sizes were ordered and were on the slip however they placed the wrong item in the box. I am still waiting on my refund and this has been a huge headache since it is for my wedding. The next issue is that they cancelled the second order and didn't notify me. Are you kidding me? I chatted with an online rep and literally got the worst customer service. It was the least helpful conversation I have ever had in my life. They gave the most confusing reason for the cancel... it didn't even make sense and went around the issue. I would have been happy with good customer service and a reasonable explanation but definitely did not get one. I love shopping online and finding cute products, but I will order from somewhere else next time!

I would like to personally look in to why your order was canceled so I can give you an explanation. Because we are a flash sale site, we do not operate like typical retail sites. We host the sale, get a firm number of orders, and then we receive the items from our manufacturers and ship out at that point, typically 14-21 days after the sale. Part of the way we can offer the low prices we do is by keeping very little inventory on hand and passing those overhead savings on to our members. If you would like to send me your order number in a private message, I will look in to it.

This is also why on the rare occasion when a wrong item is sent out that we aren't typically able to replace it - we do not keep the inventory on hand. Once I hear back from you with your order number or registered email, I can look in to your refund as well and expedite the processing for you.

I bought a Sonic toothbrush for Christmas. The brush tip stopped fitting on the handle so I contacted Groupon and since it was purchased before Christmas it was now past the 45 days so I had to work with the selling vendor, Great Smile and Vanity Planet: BOTH HORRIBLE.

I received the REPLACEMENT and, as I expected, the exact same issue happened. I am NOT HAPPY that I am only eligible to receive credits instead of a refund. If they are only selling products for a cheap price but the products are junk, WHY SELL THEM? 100% for profit! They do NOT care about customers. They do NOT care about quality. They do NOT care about providing good customer service OR good products.

I will never ever do business with Great Smile, Vanity Planet, or with Groupon. I am VERY disappointed and frustrated that they sent TWO DEFECTIVE items and expect me to order something else that's ALSO likely defective. HORRIBLE SERVICE! HORRIBLE PRODUCTS!

I am a business that sold my service to goupons I had a contract with them to self 200 goupons for daily deal I was not aware that they continue selling it for weeks and they end up selling 400 goupons I tried calling them emailing them several times for them to stop by that time the damage was already done. I am a small business and do not have the staff to handle that many Groupons so I am doing the best I can with the situation. Groupon will not get the bad name but I will because of scheduling issues but I will give quality service every time sorry to all of my customers hope you will forgive me I will do the best I can. Let the buyer beware

While Groupon (and Livingsocial since they are the same company now) promotes itself as saving you money, be careful in what you buy. I had purchased a groupon from the Things to Do category and after finding out it was not appropriate for my family, could not return or even get a one time exchange for another Groupon. They flat out denied the request, stating NO REFUND. This came from various levels at Groupon and their unwillingness to work with me as a customer has lead me to not use their services ever again. So now I'm stuck with a groupon that has expired that I cannot use and they have my money and they have made no attempt to rectify the situation, so Groupons moto should be "The Customer is NEVER right".

I would recommend that you think twice before using Groupon or Livingsocial, try LocalFlavor first as their vouchers are good for 1 year from purchase and they can be returned or exchanged.

Why did Ideel merge with Groupon? Groupon is good at what it initially set out to do and Ideel was awesome at what it set out to do. I was almost a daily consumer! Now? Ughhh! The clothes look cheap and I don't even want to understand how to navigate to look up shoes, jewelry, etc. Goodbye Ideel. You took a good thang and made it bad. You cheapened yourself. With internet orders we know things can go wrong. They should have a phone number to call and talk to someone, the chat center barely works and the people behind the chat obviously get in big trouble if they return or give a refund on anything. GROUPON IS NOT A SITE YOU WANT TO GET DEALS FROM UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ROBBED OF MONEY!

Groupon is a really good site for deals, not so good for those who want something for nothing (most people these days) - Yeah some things are over priced but the answer to that is don't buy.

Fine print

I purchased an oil change off Groupon for $25 and once they completed with my oil change it was a total of $52 at a local oil change place it's OK to have fine print but you guys are running a scam to get people inside of your location and Groupon is allowing these things to happen so be careful when dealing with Groupon or the people that are selling on Groupon

Not Happy

Purchased $30.00 50% OFF Voucher from Groupon for Body Shop for Christmas. Attended store and most items werer 50% OFF. After picking several sale items, at the cashier, I was advised the 50% voucher was only good on items NOT ON SALE. The stocking stuffer items I wanted, were on sale so I ended up buying useless things so I could us my voucher.
It was stated in the fine print voucher is only good for regular priced items. I would of been better with out it.
2nd Groupon I bought was a colouring book for adults for $9. At a large saving. I paid for the item, but when I got to the shipping page, they chared $15.00 for shipping. I could have bought the book at a store cheaper but because I already paid for the voucher, they had me for the extra $15.00.
When I complained, was advised it was again- in the fine print. Make sure you read all the instructions before paying. Wish there was a way I could of cancelled the order and got my money back. Have not heard from them since...

I used my groupon buck to purchase a coat, but it took 50 days to received, 40 days behind their promised deliver date, the worst thing is when i open the package, it is not a coat, it is something else, like children's custume, I contact groupon and they told me that they cannot help me, i have to contact merchant directly. So i ask merchant information, they see they do not have, i have to initiate. They used my Groupon. Buck pay merchant and the told me they do not have information because all goes to computer. I bought item in their webpage, and they do not have any information? I ask to fill a ticket to investigate this merchant, but daniel by customer because they do not Investigate they merchant. I try to let othe customers knows ~ never accept thir groupon buck, they do not protect you.!

I ordered a Wall Mural from Ideeli. Instead of the mural, they sent me a different product that was stickered as my item. When I contacted Ideeli, they admitted the mixup and offered to put me on the waitlist for the item I ordered and paid for in good faith. That would be fine, except that I get the same notice of availability as someone who may have waitlisted long after I had already paid for the item. They will also keep my money until they receive the mistaken item back. They did offer a prepaid shipping label but made it seem like they were doing me a favor in doing so. They gave me a $10 voucher but I really would prefer that they fix their mistake!

I ordered a restaurant discount from Groupon last year. Wasn't credited the discount but was charged. Had to dispute it with my credit card company.

Now, I gave them a 2nd chance, this time to send Valentine's flowers via FTD. Groupon has charged me and this time credited my account the discount, but FTD's website isn't honoring it.

What a clusterf*&k! They won't get a 3rd chance from me. Their deals LOOK great! But don't always expect it to work out. I, for one, am 0-for-2 with this company. :(
