Wanted to buy some stuff for the Holidays, Groupon, Great idea... not so. I had zero issues with my merchandise, however shortly thereafter, the calls started. They gave my information to timeshare company, and would call at least twice a day, And change numbers from where they call from. I am done with Groupon.
Got to my hotel just to be told there were no vacancies. Spent $53 on a Uber to get to the hotel and at check in no vacancies. Check in was at 2p and I arrived at 3p. Then Groupon tells me they don't usually give refunds on cancellation on the day of check in like it was my fault. Then told me I had to wait a week in order to be refunded. No compassion for me snd my 8 year old daughter being stranded with limited funds during the Christmas vacation.
I bought three San Diego city go tickets for $90 each, could only use one of them because they all had the same bar code. It cost me 1.5 hours of my time on the phone with multiple customer services to resolve the issue. They gave me a group on credit for two of them. I tried to use the credit for two more tickets to a concert and the tickets were never delivered via email. I contacted group on again and they basically told me that it is not their responsibility to deliver the tickets because the tickets should have been delivered by Vivid seats.
So I gave Groupon the money, they have no problem collecting it but they are not responsible to deliver the services promised on their website. They basically stole $180 and said sorry we can't do anything about it. Terrible company terrible customer service.
First off, all Groupon customers should know that there is no longer a "manned" customer number (if you call, you simply get a message telling you to go online to get help)...
My sad story with Groupon is that I booked four tickets for an AMC film yesterday for a kids' film today. Groupon links out to the AMC website so that you can choose seats, etc. This morning I got an email that the entire order had been voided and refunded (minus the $6 service charge, naturally). I finally managed to reach Vishnu at Groupon (a bot? An international customer service representative? Who knows) through the online chat, who proceeded to tell me some line about the VENDOR canceling the order, and I wouldn't be seeing that $6 again. I contacted the theater directly and they have no information about any of this, not even the original booking. So there goes an hour of frustration, $6 of my money, and an afternoon movie with my kids they had been looking forward to. Utter b. S., and I won't be hazarding a purchase with Groupon again any time soon. Caveat emptor.
Purchased groupon for On The Border. Food was terrible. Groupon would not exchange the second voucher that I haven't used. I will remove the APP as soon as I use up my remaining vouchers
I ordered a dog harness on Groupon and since then I have gotten so many cold calls for "discounted vactaions" and these cold callers say they have partnered with Groupon and when I made my purchase I clicked that I wanted to be contacted for this? NO lol Never again. Really groupon? I buy a dog harness and you're pestering me to buy vacations. What in the actual $#*!. Groupon has lost all credibility in my opinion. Goodbye forever, muah
Accidentally put two same orders since the first order took very long time to go through which I thought failed. Just in a minute, I contacted customer service and wanted to cancel on of them. There has no phone # to contact only chat or email. But the agent did nothing, only say "sorry, sorry". Very bad experience and not sure if it can be happened in US. I guess groupon will be OUT BUISNESS soon.
NEVER purchase a 3rd party voucher for goods or services through Groupon. Companies will very often not honor these vouchers. Companies can go our of business, or change terms at any time, and you will be out the money. Groupon has absolutely Terrible customer service, and No telephone contact. You can also purchase direct (without voucher) but Merchandise that I purchased has been low quality import garbage. Very Unhappy with pretty much every transaction with groupon. I'm done!
I am rating this site a 1 because it deceiving in it's "deals". I was all excited because I did get two really great deals from the site. So I went and purchased a few other activities advertised as half off. After I purchased I noticed on other sites the original price was actually ten dollars cheaper than my so called "half off price" I reached out to Groupon. They could not do anything about it. It was not like the advertised price was a few dollars off, it literally was complete false advertising. The original price for our seats were 39.50. We were sold our tickets at 49:50 with the information that that was half the price they were selling else where. I was unable to check at the time we purchased because they were presale tickets and you did not know you exact seat until you received your voucher. Customer service was awful. There was no help and then to top it off, I was never sent the 3 digital album downloads promised with the tickets. WORSE site ever. I had two other issues that were unresolved as well.
I bought a Groupon for a scape room and by mistake I bought the wrong location, Groupon didn't allowed me to switch locations and didn't answer who will keep the money if I won't use the Groupon, they said it was final sale. The location said they didn't have the money it was Groupon. I guess I will erase my account.
I have purchased 2 Groupon deals, only for them to refund my money back days later, with no explanation from Groupon. I was made aware I didn't have deals via my credit card company refunds. One of the deals purchased was for 528.00 for concert tickets, I reached out to Groupon via email a couple of times, I was informed at one time to check my credit card info, any rep said try to repurchase the tickets in different section. Clearly my credit card was fine because both purchases were charged and refunded. Reached out to manager, he tells me sorry, section is not available try another section. I tried a couple more times, no section were available, but still showing on website. So it ended with my credit card company sending me a fraud alert., due to the many attempts of 528.00 going thorugh and then Groupon refunding. Manager was of zero help.
I purchased a service from Groupon. I tried to make an appt. And was being billed for additional money. I called their office number and got a recording. I left a message. I was contacted by txt. Giving me instructions to make an ongoing session free of additional fees. The txt referenced a service I didn't want. I made an appt on the site for the service. I did not receive a confirmation, but I did take a snapshot of the page. I went to my appt today. The address was for The Greenfield Plaza. The suite was for a beauty salon. There were two hair dressers. They were ot familiar with the Esthetic Experience Shop. I took pictures of the building ******* Greenfield building and the 484 suite with the hairdressers. My. Complaint with Groupon is that when I tried to alert them to this incident, they wanted to charge me a dollar to give them the info. This vendor is still on their site
I could not get the money refunded back to my card because my appt for fraudulent services was beyond their 2 day time frame. How was I to know it was a scam. Shouldn't Groupon have checked this out?
I was adding things to my cart from my Groupon online app, it immediately purchased DOUBLE of everything I was adding to my cart. I chatted (you can't call them = "SCAM TACTICS") with someone immediately, and they said I have to reach out to all of the separate vendors. (13 in total) They can't cancel the order even though it, literally, just went through. Groupon sent auto response emails from the 13 vendors (from China) and, guess what, you can't respond or call or find any of their information to contact them to cancel the orders. Now I have over $800 worth of crap I was only considering (x2) being shipped. Groupon has single-handedly ruined mine and my family's Christmas. They take no responsibility for the auto ordering or any of their vendors. They don't even have proper contact information for the vendors you buy from. The Groupon chat person said that this happens ALL OF THE TIME!?!? Do yourself a favor and delete your account and warn others. What a terrible, disgusting company they have become.
They never helped me even after they tell you to ask for support via emails! Groupon spare me the reply back because its not worth your time anymore! I recommend not using groupon because third party merhcants can take your money not provide you with product and groupon will not do anything about it! Groupon use to have superb customer service and now because many use them they have no more care for consumers!
If I could rate zero stars I would! Traveled to Honolulu for first time ever, and searched Groupon for things to do IN HONOLULU. An ATV tour came up advertised as Honolulu, so purchased for my husband and me. Two days before we would have used it, I realized it was NOT in Honolulu, it was in Kauai, a whole other island we couldn't make it to. Groupon refused to refund, stating the fine print reads all sales final. I told them it was false advertising, but they said there's nothing they could do. There was nothing they were willing to do. I will never, ever use Groupon again, and I will tell everyone I know not to as well! Note in picture attached where under the ATV picture in blue print it says "Honolulu!" Terrible.
When a merchant has staffing issues (who doesn't these days) and cannot honor the Groupon for months, you are out of luck. No Groupon refund. No reissue. Groupon customer services says, "Sorry," "Sorry," "Sorry," but Groupon policy seems to say tough luck, sucker! Sure, Groupon says, you can use the value at that merchant (which whom you have no relationship) but which would result in your paying full price--half for the Groupon and balance to the merchant. My mistake.
Don't waste your time. I used to LOVE Groupon and would buy stuff here all the time.
Except now. They've changed a lot. And the customer service sucks. I've been trying to get my issue resolved for over a week and they just keep giving me the run around asking me for the same information I've been giving to them since day one. It's completely ridiculous and now they've also stolen my money!
STAY AWAY FROM GROUPON!
I purchased oil change for $24.99 from Groupon. Total cost was really $60. Big rip off. Avoid using Jiffy Lube "deal". I called and complained because the receipt showed they performed services that we had not requested. Jose told me those charges will be removed, so I'll see if they follow through.
I've noticed without a doubt any clients I have that purchase through Groupon have a false idea of what quality services can provide. It caters to cheap ppl looking for the best deal and act entitled when they pay a fraction of the price.
Don't use Groupon if you want your service to be great service most people will see that it's cheap and treat you differently. This is my honest opinion from first hand experience over and over again.
They will CANCEL offers and never tell you they've been cancelled, hoping you'll never try to redeem. But if you DO try to redeem the offer you spent your MONEY on, and find out it's been CANCELLED, GROUPON will NOT give you your money back, instead they'll give you precious Groupon BUCKS which are almost as good as actual money, you can certainly take Groupon bucks to the grocery store and buy FOOD with it, oh wait, nope. GROUPON IS USELESS and a SCAM business, they bank on bad offers so they can keep your actual money and return it with their own useless e-currency. DO NOT BUY FROM GROUPON! Oh, ps, they called me "unprofessional" for saying they were wasting my time (true) and asking stupid questions that should already be in the order (true).
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
