I placed an order Nov 21

I placed an order Nov 21. I got an email confirming the order however, I never received one for shipping. I emailed them requesting information and I got an automated email saying "oops, it fell through the cracks but it's ready to ship". 2 weeks later, still nothing. I emailed them again and got a blanket response stating "we are super busy but will get back to you ASAP". A month after the order was placed - it was cancelled. I was not notified of it though, I just happened to check.

In the midst of all that, I placed another order for a voucher, only to receive an email stating the fine fine print had changed and the voucher was now only valid on a limited amount of products from the company, as opposed to all stock as was stated when I purchased the voucher.

I have also emailed their "feedback" department and now I'm pretty sure I'm being ignored. I can not and will not recommend this site to anyone.

Buyer beware. Groupon had a deal for a 7 piece jacquard bedding set, I purchased 2 of them in a specific color. When it was delivered (in 2 packages), it was the wrong color. I immediately called their customer support and after waiting a while on phone, finally got a live person. I explained the situation to him and he advised me that he would be sending me usps return label for the items. He said that I should print the same one label twice and use it on both packages. I don't work for the post office or nothing but I know this is not doable. I called them again and spoke to another person who advised that she would be sending me an email within minutes with either 2 new mailing labels or an extra mailing label to be used alongside the one I already received (she wasn't sure what I would be receiving). I hung up the phone in good faith and after waiting over 2 hours for this label, called again. Spoke to the 3rd person who said she wasn't sure why I was sent the same label for 2 packages and that she was going to speak to a manager about this. Came back saying my options were to 1) ship the items back in one box (clearly, the times were 2 big for one box which is why groupon sent them to me in 2 separate packages) or 2) she would pass this along to the groupon goods team to resolve. According to her, she had no idea who this team was and all she knew to do was submit a ticket which would be forwarded to them for response within 3 business days. It's the holiday season, I am out money, have to go look for new gifts for the intended recipients of this and then have to deal with groupon expecting me to use 1 shipping label for 2 separate packages. I am now waiting to see if/when I will hear back from the groupon goods team on this. I don't recall having such difficulty returning an item (as a result of the shipper's error). Keeping fingers crossed that I can be rid of these bedding items sooner than later. As far as groupon is concerned, proceed with caution.

I ordered a straightening iron that was originally priced at $200 and got it for... I don't remember, really low. It was my first purchase through groupon. It works! It's a great iron and it came w/ a heat protecting mask for the hair and a travel bag with lining inside so that the bag doesn't get burned. Then I purchased food coupons where you buy $40 worth of food for $10 at Johnny Rockets. That was valid and so far, no complaints. There was an offer that you can get up to $120 worth of products from NuMe Products for $15. I did pay $15 which then redirected me to their website. With this particular offer, you basically buy a $15 gift card or coupon so it only takes $15 off anything you buy. I just wanted a curling wand and thought I could buy it for $15 but instead, I'd have to pay $49 to make up the difference. So I got a refund (Credit) and told them I can buy a curling wand through Amazon and it wouldn't cost me that much. They replied very quickly and their refund policy is right there on your receipt- They honor you with a refund within 7 days of purchase. Their customer service was pretty good, online that is. I've never had to call. So far my experience has been really good with Groupon as a consumer.

**Update**

Wow I guess I've been a Groupon customer for 2 years now! I absolutely LOVE Groupon. I have purchased 1 product that did not work at all, and they apologized & quickly provided me with a full refund before I even asked. I have purchased tickets to many events: Kevin Hart comedy shows, fairs, and more food groupons. I highly recommend them, even if they do contribute to Planned Parenthood lol.- December 2015

I like this site, it gives great offers most of the time, but sometimes it just feels like anything is being put out there!

I know that it can't appeal to my tastes all of the time, but I just wonder what it does to bring the best offers possible everyday.

In saying that, I still like getting the offers I do and there are some great savings and even better gift ideas!

People should still check it out.

Does anyone even work at this place? Every time I try to call I'm informed the wait time will be 15 minutes, 30 minutes or even longer.
Placed an order for a family member for a gift for her son and it hasn't even shipped. It's been almost 3 weeks and was supposed to be guaranteed by Christmas.

I even got one of those stupid emails about strapping on jetpacks and assuring me it would be here by Christmas. It also said I'd have a tracking number by mid-week. Guess what? No tracking number, still awaiting fulfillment.

At this point unless they overnight it there is NO way it will be here by Christmas.

Buy at your own risk

Buy at your own risk. Any company that won't accept responsibility for the quality of good that goes out, is not ok with me. Granted... they allow you to send back for a refund in 14 days, but after that you're stuck with it and its annoying to have waited 2 weeks for something, only to get the wrong item and can't EXCHANGE IT but tp lose ot by sending back. What of you really wanted it? What of it was a gift? This is the risk part. HOWEVER, when damaged and can't exchange is one thing, but I have been getting the wrong stuff and that is their fault because they package it. 2 pack drinking container, u get one. They say to send it back for a full refund or I can keep for partial. Really? The person that packed can't count? You would think there is an extra somewhere of its how it comes no? More than likely the person didnt know it was a 2 pack and packed them all like that. Nobody notices all the extra mason jar tumblers? Come on man. I ordered a blue shower curtain, get red. I ordered a green ice cream maker, I get watermelon. I order primer, its expired, dry amd crumbly, no pakage or box. 2 containers. That tells me, they are allowing companies tp sell OLD EXPIRED cosmetics. Not ok! I'm just tired pf it. 2 years worth of goods, thousands of dollars later... I'm done. Be careful and don't expect much should you choose to buy goods.

Like another reviewer Matt S., I placed an order on 28th Nov for a tablet which was supposed to arrive within 12 working days (16the Dec). Up until now, my order hasn't even shipped. I have been constantly contacting groupon support and getting the same lame answers. As another reviewing also said, I got a dumb a$$ email about "strapping jetpacks on the reindees" a few days 5 days ago saying my order will "ship soon". Still waiting. NEVER will I ever order bfrom them again. Going to try to cancel this order, and it was a gift for my 7 yr old son too. How sad for this company. I am going to let everyone know how horrible they are and to never order from them.

IF there was an option for zero stars I would review it that. Let me begin by saying that for the past four years I was a loyal groupon customer. I bought everything from restaurant vouchers, goods, even vacations frequently. In the last year especially customer service has taken an extreme nosedive. In february we booked a trip to Cambridge which because of the four foot storm had to be rescheduled. We called three days before the forecast to try to either change the date or refund the groupon. After three days of dealing with inept, rude customer service reps that played "pass the buck" for an uncontrollable natural disaster the HOTEL finally took mercy on us and honored our groupon price so we could rebook. We would have eaten the groupon otherwise, and this was after years of loyal busiworness and advance notice, and an uncontrollable natural disaster which made it illegal for us to travel the roads- we were rudely told by a customer service rep that we could still travel if we wanted to chance it. It was barely worth the aggravation and I was shocked that such a well known company would treat a loyal customer this way. We let this go, but recently three tablets were purchased on black friday. Order confirmation was emailed, and when I checked website it stated "shipped' when I clicked on tracking 20 days later (said 12 BD for shipping) I got a message that states "oops order has been cancelled". NO email informing us of this, no refund yet. Partially paid with a gift card, so that doesn't sound promising. After reading these reviews I am starting to think that I am in for another three days of battle with teenage customer service reps with chips on their shoulders. I am not alone here. We let the first incident slide as a fluke, but this is Christmas, our kids big gifts, and I am appalled that this is handled in this way. I ordered the same thing from amazon, free two day shipping for only ten dollars more apiece and def worth the grey hairs I'll spare myself from going through this again. If they keep going this way they are going to be out of business soon. Shame on you Groupon.

I order from groupon all the time and after a horrible experience with another company I wanted to write a positive review. I had a package stolen from my doorstep and groupon customer service gave me a refund. Their customer service has always been great. I did order something that they happened to have too much demand for but promptly gave me a refund for it as well. Ya bummer I didn't get what i ordered but im not out any money from it. I will continue to use groupon. Im on there daily and the app works great as well makes ordering easy.

I have been scammed by Groupon for $463 and they refuse to acknowledge it, they refuse to credit me to use in their site and they obviously refuse to refund me. Because of their security being compromised I am on the receiving end of a huge loss of money. I am still doing what I can to deal with it but its looking bleak. Their customer service is virtually nonexistent and they refer to "policies" as though they are set in stone and unable to do a thing to help me.

I have probably purchased 20+ Groupons over the years... it was my go to site for restaurant deals. I've also bought Groupons for different products and services and never had a problem, until now. Recently I purchased a Groupon for the Spy Museum in DC as a gift for my fiancé who is in the military. We had just moved to the area, so I thought it would be something fun to do. Soon after I purchased this deal, he was sent overseas, so it could not be used. I contacted Groupon and told them that he would not be returning before the expiration date, so I would no longer be able to use it and wondered if there was anything that could be done - the expiration dates are what get me. You are usually forced to use the Groupon within a month or two, so pay very close attention to these dates (and if you're military and suddenly have to go overseas, you're SOL). Anyway, Since we just moved here and I don't have any friends that I could invite to the museum, I asked if there was some sort of military clause where if proven that he was deployed, I could get my money back... Stupid question... of course not. $25 wasted and a lesson learned. If you are in the military, it's probably a good idea to stay away from Groupon... if you are suddenly deployed or have to move before the expiration date, there's nothing that they will do for you. So you can fight for their freedom, but they won't credit your account $25 to use on something else... terrible customer service. I've been buying from one of their competitors with no expiration dates ever since. Works for us since we don't know where we will be from month to month. As a loyal Groupon customer for years, I am extremely disappointed in their customer service. There is a military clause in a lease when renting an apartment or a house, and I can't get a measly (to them) $25 credited back to my account for a service that was never used. Ridiculous.

I have spent a lot of money on groupons and have yet to have a place of business fulfill any of my groupons. The last groupon I bought was for a massage. Every time I called to make an appointment, they would ask "is this the groupon?" I would say yes. All 4 times I called I got the same answer "We no longer have any appointments available for our groupon winners" - waste of money. The business has no obligation to fulfull their end of the "bargain" YUCK

WARNING: DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE. Groupon is by far the worst online website I have ever used. I beg you, please save your time and money and go somewhere else to find what you are looking for. They grab your attention with great prices on certain services, activities, goods, or location sites and make the process to get exactly what you want so complicating. Not only did they ship me the wrong product, they did not even take ownership that it was their fault and I had to plead for them to give me a full refund. Their customer service is completely uneducated and rude, especially after talking to three different representatives. Oh and if you do have to contact customer service, you are going to have to be waiting on the line for a minimum of 15 minutes. PLEASE SHARE WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS - if something seems to good to be true, it is. STAY AWAY FROM GROUPON! I hope this helps.

I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM GROUPON AGAIN! They scammed me out of products. I did not receive all of my order. And they gave me a $10 off coupon and when I used it, it said it was applied; however, they charged me the full amount. I've emailed them and called. I cannot get any help. Absolutely ridiculous.

They get 1 star because I can't give them less. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM GROUPON AGAIN, PERIOD. Ordered 3 of one item on 12/1 and it just shipped on 12/17. They even sent me an email telling me they are "strapping some jet packs on their reindeer to try to make up for lost time" Sorry, too little too late. What a sad excuse for a company. Even the U.S. P.S. Skates circles around GROUPON. That is sad :(

I absolutely, positively abhore this company. I ordered my first, and last groupon, for a teeth whitening kit which OF COURSE comes with the gel in syringes. As it is just left inyour mailbox instead of having it require a signature, mine was opened and ripped to bits all over my lawn. I snapped photos of this and sent it to both the provider and groupon, asking them why it was mailed with no signature required. The teeth whitening company ignored the email alotogether, and Groupon sends the generic "we'll get back to you in 24 hours" email. I have emaield them three days straight and have gotten various version of this email - nevertheless, they actually haven't responded to the problem. I thought, I can call right? Nope - I DARE you to call them at ANY given time. They don't pick up the phone!

Why bother having a customer service number, when there is no, in fact, customer service. This company is a joke. I would never give them another dime, and I am spreading the word. Why can't we give less than 1 star?

I purchased a number of items from Group On. One item I received: a swaro. Red element heart. It looked very cheap. I will return it. On December 5,2013 I purchased a 3-pack of Stuhrling Original Men's Watches. The order has not been fulfilled to date (12/16/13), I emailed Group On and received a response alerting me that they have been too busy to address the matter. As a result, I have requested Group On to cancel all others orders that have not been fulfilled and a refund made to my card asap.

I would not advise purchasing anything from this site. There customer service is scrapping the bottom of the barrel and the one product received was/is definitely "cheap" looking.

Takes your money and doesn't ship anything. You don't get your money back from them, you have to talk with your CC company. Don't trust this site, it's well known to be a shady company despite its friendly name. Stay away at all costs.

I bought an item on groupon goods well before Christmas. I received an email saying that my order would be shipped soon. 4 weeks later (3 weeks before Christmas) groupon sent me an apology email saying that they decided to cancel my order because they oversold their available quantities. What $#*! hats. Right before Christmas! Now I'm scrambling to find a replacement gift and I couldn't be more furious. I hope the company goes belly up.
