I would not recommend Groupon to my worst enemy. It's impossible to reach them and try to resolve a problem. I have tried to email them numerous times and their mail box is always full. The chats are a joke and don't address the issue at hand even though I spelled it out to them. I have blocked them and will never use them again.
I was extremely surprised that Groupon does not give refunds nor credit for an unfulfilled Groupon due to covid. I had to cancel my long-awaited trip to Chicago because my husband tested positive for covid. We were devastated. Groupon was the ONLY company that refused to give us a refund or credit for the unused Groupon. Most companies asked that I send them a copy of the positive result and quickly responded with the refund or credit. Shame on you Groupon!
Answers to questions seem to be answered by a computer instead of a live human! Also I'm not satisfied with the illustration that your getting a better deal through Groupon 20 instead of 45! I paid the twenty spent two days trying to get my new Sam's card, only to find out, the small print says I must be 6months expired to get the deal! Why did you give me a voucher in the first place? Wait I know you wanted to lock me in with a refund I have to spend with you. Tell people upfront about the 6month expiration clause!
Groupon is a scam... Do not buy anything expensive from them. Do not buy concert tickets! Make sure you read fine print!
1st almost a year ago I canceled an order and never got my money back. Today we went to the Houston museum of Natural History and the entire website was down so I could not even get to my Groupon. It was very frustrating.
Do not do business with this company! I was charged twice for a purchase and when I tried to speak with customer service on live chat they refused to refund my money or resolve the issue at all and the agent was very rude and ended the chat. I made 3 more attempts to contact customer service on live chat only to be treated very rudely and cut off each time. I am out 100.00 This company is a SCAM! STAY AWAY!
Bought tickets to an aquarium as advertized. They were supposedly (did not actually try) tickets to a different museum, so they were useless to the venue for which they were sold. Total false advertizing. The aquarium has not accepted Groupon tickets for 4 years.
Groupon refuses to let me into my account and is asking me to provide information from October 2020 to access my account. I've explained over and over again that I cannot access this information since 1. I cannot get into my account, 2. I have 5 different cards, and 3. Most of my cards were recently updated with a new expiration date.
They refuse to let me into my account though I cannot possibly provide this information.
I've requested to delete my data completely from their system so I can be done with their company for good. Instead, I am receiving emails from the agent I chatted with links to make purchases, when she already knows I cannot purchase anything because the whole company, including the escalation team, refuse to let me into my account since I don't have information on file from October 2020. I sent them the digital receipt I received from October 2020, but it does not have the credit card details that they want. This is the worst customer service in the world.

Unable to make a booking for my hotel stay. Was told it was the hotel at fault, hotel had nothing to do with it. Just a nightmare to contact. Was cut off chats a number of times. So much time wasted. Very poor service. Would not recommend
I used to think they were great but then I realized that you can get stuff directly from merchants for about the same or better deals and will get better customer service. If something goes wrong with Groupon they will copy and paste stock answers and over that repeat the same thing saying why they cannot help you. Cut out the middle man and go directly to merchants.
I have purchased deals through Groupon because I used to trust them with my money. They used to at least give Groupon Bucks when I was not satisfied with a merchant. Now, OMG... I pay for a Groupon- half of their merchants don't want to honor their deals, they CHARGE extra like crazy, they sell you OVERPRICED product, or just do a really crappy job because I am a Groupon costumer. They complain how much Groupon takes for their fees-mind you this SSOOOOOO unprofessional. I pay for a deal and really don't want to know how much Groupon takes in profit. I am just done with all this and won't use Groupon anymore.
The whole thing is very tricky, nothing mentioned about final sale in the details When I put the order. Then when I need to cancel it, the customer service said it is final sale.
Is it really cheaper? No, For the zipline in Whistler, it is US$139 in Groupon, but in the Whistler reservation, it is CAD139. So, be careful.

Worst customer service I've ever received and I'm 40! They are misleading and will do whatever it takes to steal your money! I'd rather pay the extra $30 knowing I got good service than save it by using Groupon!
3 of our last 4 orders have had shipping SNAFUS... stuck in one city with no movement for over a week. Or worse, companies print a label... which enters tracking information into the system, but your pack sits... never making it into the actual system.
So... when there is an issue, contact customer service. There is no way to do it! After about half a dozen times of navigating the site for help, an occasional email button seems to appear. It must only show after you have clicked the help button a dozen times. Then good luck getting an appropriate answer to you issue. Our last order may be our last.
Ordered tickets on Groupon for bike & kayak. I followed the instructions, and made a reservation for 3:30. Showed up at 3, like they said, and the doors are locked. Called, and no answer. Asked the surrounding shops but they said that's weird, because they don't close until 5. Paid for it and everything, don't know how to get a refund. This was for my husbands birthday surprise, and it turned out like this. He's always wanted to go kayaking, and especially on his birthday. So disappointed and would not recommend to anyone. Horrible. This is beyond ridiculous. This is our first birthday together and it's like this? Can't even get an answer.
I bought a Groupon and the code never worked. I followed all the instructions about customer support and it didn't work. Now they say that they can't refund my money.
I had a Groupon account with an active Groupon on it and $100 in credits. I didn't buy anything in a while due to Covid, yet Groupon unilaterally without first reaching out to me CLOSED MY ACCOUNT and kept all my $$$$. No effort to contact me first. When I realized it I contacted them and they reactivated my account, but I think it was a bad faith $$$ grab by the company. Stay away. Dishonest business people.

Freezing? Or not available to open or check out?! I bought 2 vouchers and never was notified that they had canceled on me. They refund it back credit And I can't even use it because the website keeps freezing I've been on here for the last for two! There's no customer service phone number and live agent isn't even available via text! Coupon needs to fix this and get back on board this is horrible!
I recently bought a voucher from Groupon for a tour in Florida. When it came time to use the voucher, due to app issues, I could not open the groupon, even though I had proof of the purchase. I was forced to buy new tickets. When I contacted Groupon about the issue, they refused to issue a refund, even when I showed proof that I had to re-buy the tickets. Their customer service is terrible. Most of their products are low quality and they don't care about their customers. Their are many other places to buy discount tickets. Groupon should be avoided.
I bought a cleaning service. They didn't have availability for over a MONTH! DAMN RIPPOFF! Then when I immediately tried to get a refund on the same day I purchased the service, I was given "Groupon Bucks". They wouldn't refund my card!

Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!

They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders.
