I paid $24 for a Groupon for a meal kit delivery service. Since I did not see the fine print that said "first time customers", the meal kit company refused to honor my Groupon. Therefore, I immediately requested a refund of my $24, as the Groupon was now unusable. They absolutely refuse to give me my money back. So they get a free $24 and I get nothing? What kind of business does this? A corrupt one, it seems.
I save so much money using this app. We buy everything from cell phone chargers to pizzas to mini golf... our savings is unbelievable. The only problem I had once was I bought a Groupon for tanning and I pulled up to the store to use it and they were out of business. They apparently closed up real fast. I called Groupon and they gave me a refund and were great about it.
I have to say, pretty poor experience. My package was "delivered" when it was not actually delivered, and the response from customer service was to contact the USPS 800 number and give them my tracking number. Great. So someone in some call center nowhere nearby will tell me it was delivered, just like the notification says... even though it wasn't ($75 dollars later...). Pretty poor. Probably going to cancel my membership.
I used their app to purchase 2, $50 gel nail kits. The app malfunctioned and order 6 gel kits. I didn't realize until the next day (after their 2 hour window) and they will do nothing about it, I am sick with them!
Any Groupon savings I received over the years has been voided by the $200 they are making me pay for.

My husband and I got a hotel Groupon but could not use it due to family emergency. I tried to contact the hotel, they directed me back to Groupon. No live chat was available (conveniently) and all I could do is to email them. No response was received. I had to contact them again later and was told that now it's too late and they can't issue the refund! Terrible company, will never buy anything from them again!

Always been pleased by the way they have dealt with my enquiries to do with late deliveries or Defective items. Trust them to deal with any items I buy through their site as I know if I have a problem... It will be dealt with quickly and professional. Would recommend them to everyone.
I bought a coupon for an "Ultimate Date Night" from Groupon, $40 for a $100 restaurant coupon, and two movie passes. When I tried to use the restaurant coupon, there was only one business in my area that would accept it, and they are a catering service. And, you have to purchase $200 to redeem a $100 coupon. That would be OK if I was having a party, but who wants to spend $200 for food on a "date night". Groupon obviously did no research at all into the suitability of this offer. I would go as far as to call it a scam.
I have used Groupons with specific vendors, usually with good results. But a generic deal where you have to find a vendor that will honor it, those should be positively avoided.
So far it was not bad, I received the right orders and on time, till very recently... as a 1st row member, I tried to get an item and it was showing sold out BEFORE the sale started, is there a point in being a 1st row?>>> After that - a fur hooded coat arrived WITHOUT the hood! I got nothing, but lame apolgies and an offer to re-purchase the item, what?! Of course, after you sent it without an important part let me give you more of my money! I requested a return label, which from past experiences will amount to driving to UPS store, standing in line, returning the package and waiting 2-3 billing periods for a credit... oh wait, that was not a refund to my card, but a store credit to spend MORE $ on this unreliable website! :(

I ordered a pair of boots from Ideel. The price seemed like a bargain until shipping was added on. $9.95 to ship and another $2.53 in tax. This still did not deter me from ordering, but I immediately had buyers remorse when, on top of the high shipping cost, I found out it would take weeks for me to receive my order. I tried to cancel my order, but I found out that canceling is not an option at Ideel, even when the order is still in processing. When I finally got the boots about 3 weeks later, they were not the same color as pictured and they were too small in the calf, so I needed to return them anyway. I had the option of choosing store credit or having to pay another $8.95 in return shipping! I didn't want store credit because of my experience, so I ended throwing $20 down the drain to wait 3 weeks to try on a pair of boots that didn't fit and send them back. This was one of the worst online shopping experiences I can remember. Never again.

I have been looking at this website for a few weeks. First, I don't see the big price advantage to most of the items. You can come close to matching their price by doing some homework searching on the web. Secondly, and the most negative for me, is that to have the "privledge" to order some of the items on their site, you must pay an ongoing fee to join a subscriber group to purchase these items. They bill you up front and take your "dues" so that you may have the privledge to perhaps find something you might want to purchase in the future. In this economy, when all retailers are fighting for a piece of the consumers money, why would anyone agree to pay for the privledge to be given an opportunity to buy something? This is absurd and particulary aggravating since their site has nothing particularly special or at a deeply discounted price. No way!

Do NOT buy Groupons. I bought two tickets for a comedy show for my husband and I to goto. I read all the fine print including the part about,"that it did not include special events." We picked a show that was not a,"special event." The week of the show I checked the comedy club web cite to see what time the doors open etc and suddenly the show was changed to a,"special event." I wrote to groupon and they wrote back saying there wasnt anything they could do if I wanted to give it to a friend they would change the name on the groupon for me. Wow thanks. So they took my money, never offered '"store credit." I will never use them again. Plus their, "deals" are nothing of the sort. They are deals on shows that suck that nobody wants to goto or trips that leave on a monday and come home on a thursday. Total waste. Run from Groupon!
I ordered face masks from Groupon on May 7,2020. They charged my credit car immediately. I have been waiting patiently for my merchandise to arrive for almost 4 months believing the delay is related to Covid issues. Finally tried to contact Groupon to check on the merchandise to find out there is no customer service support any more on their website. Eventually I forwarded my complaint to their merchant customer support which looks like is still functioning. I received a reply about a week later giving me instruction where to click on the website for my order details. None of the instruction of phone numbers given to me are working. Left messages but no one is returning my calls. Tried to work with customer service chat, no response. Looks like Groupon has closed operations and is near bankruptcy.
I got a gift groupon for Spa 66 in the Hyatt Regency in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The gift was worth $225. The Groupon says there is a 20% gratuity (fine), but the spa said the package was worth over $400. No way! The couples massage is posted in the spa for $160; we got $30 towards lunch, and a bottle of champagne (probably not worth the $35. We had to pay a $90 gratuity instead of $45. Don't buy this one!
I recently purchased a Premium Home Whitening Teeth-Whitening Kit from Rochester Groupon. After using the product consistently for a week now I am overall satisfied with the purchase. The product was shipped quickly and all the contents were received and comfortably packaged. The kit included: upper and bottom mouth trays, a retainer case, whitening gel and remineralizing gel (to reduce tooth sensitivity). I was worried that the bleach in the whitening gel would harm my gums but the instructions included advised how to avoid irritating your gums. I have seen a considerable difference in the colour of my teeth after only 4 usages. I would recommend this product for anyone looking to successfully whiten their teeth without the expensive cost of doing so through a dentist. The kit is easy to use and effective.
Groupon is trash they have poor customer service and they told me the business not accepting my Groupon will get in contact with me within 3 business days apparently they don't know what three business days means because I've been told this twice now the Groupon that hasn't been accepted for months has been removed you can no longer purchase and I still have no refund. Groupon is trash I asked to speak to a supervisor as soon as they got on the line they didn't even let me speak they immediately told me you have to wait 3 business days and apologized with the least sincerity. I asked to speak to someone above the rude supervisor and they said there is no one else I can speak to above them.
I think they have a great website, and the customer service is stellar. I recently had a TERRIBLE experience with a deal they offered through another website (see my review about 38dollarglasses.com). Groupon was not at fault, but they did what they could to rectify the poor service from the other company. Honestly, Groupon didn't owe me anything, but they still took care of me. I couldn't be happier with how Groupon handled the situation.
I bought two watches from these guys and both times I received cheap phony inferior products.The picture is of the real products and what you receive is a flimsy bargin ben watch.The description is deceptive as well. I paid 50 dollars for 10 worth of products. Better of at Amazon.

I ordered an item that cost me $4.50 paid out Too MUCH for shipping and handling and didn't even get the product! I ordered 3 items 2 came and this one didn't! I have been emailing them/gave them phone number so we could communicate...still no item, no phone call, and no REFUND!
I bought some holiday gifts using Groupon and I paid more for the items because each item charged a delivery fee. The system continued to stay pending so after about a month-and-a-half, I contacted the company because I had not received everything I had ordered. I asked them to cancel the items because they were holiday gifts and I had not received them. Because it was 30 days after and although their system still said pending they would not refund me. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen in a company. I have worked in customer service my entire life and I would never do something like this to a client. Buyer Beware!
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
