Check your receipts. Past month Grubhub has been increasing service fee after order delivered when charge posts to account. Food price, tax and tip stay same, but their service fee increases. For example when orders placed fee $4. Final charge then $4.80. How is this not illegal? Beware!
Today, as they often do, grubhub sent me an email offering 20 percent off. I followed the link and saw a favorite Chinese restaurant participated. Allegedly, the 20 percent discount would be applied during checkout -- they gave me no code to use. I filled the cart and started to place the order, but you guessed it, no 20 percent off. After some chat negotiations, received another email with 20 percent off. This time, the discount appeared, but got a "this order cannot be processed" message. Not the first time something like this has happened to me with grubhub. They try to lure me in with a deal, then renege.

I cancelled my membership back in August, and they have been taking money out of my account every month. I have called and spoken to Lexy, Nelly A., and Zena B., and still nothing has been done. Zena B. Tries to be smart via emails. I had to call my bank and report them in order for them to stop taking money out of my account illegally.

GrubHub needs to update the menus on all the stores that you can buy from. It makes no sense if you're ordering from Wawa why you can get a plain classic role if you buy it loose but if you want it buttered you can't get it you have to order a wheat roll. Was trying to place an order from multiple stores in my area I even called customer service for help. Even after googling how do I order from multiple locations on GrubHub all it tells me is that I can do it. But when I try to do it it tells me to empty my bag from my other location. Customer service is no help! They barely speak English. They cannot even understand what I am saying I had to just hang up and give up because I had to give my email address about six times and she still didn't get it.

I used Grubhub three times. Each time I provide detailed directions to my home. All three times, they delivered my food to homes in a development a mile away from mine. To make matters worse, they tortured me by providing pictures of my food waiting at the door of my neighbor's house while I was starving. I never have this problem with any other delivery services. I won't have it again with Grubhub. It will be a cold day in Hades before I ever use Grubhub again. Hello, Uber Eats!

I was on vacation and ordered takeout, but it wouldn't go, tried again, and it wouldn't go through. I was charged twice and 36 hours later on the phone with customer service. I did receive a coupon for 20% off a meal, however, I will be closing my GrubHub account. Customer service was friendly and professional, however, Grubhub has issues with their ordering system. I did go through insta cart that day for delivery without an issue and will avoid GH in the future.

I ordered a medium size pizza with sausage & mushrooms to be picked up by me. The cost was $25.89 with tax 27.96! I could not cancel. When I picked it up classic pizza advised never use Yelp as it directs orders to Grub Hub and their surcharge is outrageous.

Ordered from a local diner from and it was to be here at 12 noon and it is going on 1 pm and i still haven't received my food! It keeps delaying it and saying it it going to be longer. If i reserve a time spot i would like it to be on time or close to that time, and on top of that the sub tasted like the delivery girls perfume gross.

- incompetent company ---they suck on service. Twice in a row they cancelled the order said the restaurant never received the order but I received a email saying they did. The bad thing is, the food was going to my 88 year old Mother, I live in a different State and order her dinner one day Grubhub said sorry here is 7 bucks for the mistake. Ok second day I ordered her lunch, 5 mintues before the order was to be delivered, they called said sorry order was cancelled. Here's another $7 bucks for the mistake. They gave no reason why. There service sucks. Never use them again. The bad thing is I contacted the nursing home both days and told them to hold her meal I was having it delivered, both days I had to call them back and tell them sorry GrubHub screwed up again, please make her meal so she can eat.

Ordered from a local Thai restaurant. Got notification food was picked up and then nothing. We finally walked down the street and found our food two houses down on someone else's porch. Called GrubHub and they said thanks for calling but we can't give you a refund or credit. I won't be using them again.

Grubhub drivers are the WORST consistently of all the delivery services. It is very rare that they follow my contact rules. I simply want them to knock on my door so I know my food has arrived, and maybe 1 out of 10 deliveries am I notified. Additionally I've watched several drivers drive around in circles or get lost bringing my food. If you don't know how to follow a GPS find another job! I'm done ordering through Grubhub.

In addition to adding a few dollars to each menu item you order, there are a couple different "service fees" that add a significant amount to the total. Our dinner ended up costing about 50% more than it would have if the restaurant did direct ordering (which it used to, before Grubhub came along). To make it worse, they add their own "service fee" of $7.95 but suggest a tip of $1 for the driver. When their bit is automated and doesn't need to eat. Voracious raping weasels, I call it. "GrubHub" is the right name--grubbing for money at working people's expense.

App says "Hand the food to me." Drivers dump at gate. Never ring bell. Food gets cold. Refunds not processed. Customer service promises action - nothing. Bank statements and gift cards never credited with refunds. Don't tip a driver until AFTER you get the order. Despite generous tips up front, drivers leave food outside.

It used to be 1 in 4 delivers were slow or not following instructions - but now just horrific drivers and delays. Food deliveries taking 2-3 hours. I literally watched a driver stop at walmart for 30 minutes then continue on to my house - while I was on the phone with support where they were claiming the food prep was what delayed the order. And absolutely no support - horrible - getting worse

I placed an order for my elderly father. I placed the order at 12:25 and was given a delivery time of1:15-1:49. Then it was changed to 2:15. An hour later,they won't give you a refund. Who wants to eat cold food. My father has medication that he needs to eat and take the medication. I don't want no credit that expires in 30 days. I won't my money back. I will be disputing with my bank and file a complaint. This is unprofessional and unacceptable!

Registered and was approved to drive a month ago. Sent me the insulted bags and all, but app wont let me logon. Nobody available by phone for assistance, email only. Zero stars. Horrible service. Horribly expensive. Delivery fees regularly double the total cost of the order. Good luck trying to ask for even the simplest alteration to your order. You'll struggle to get extra ketchup on a $40 order.

This company has clearly seen artificial growth since the pandemic devastated the restaurant industry. I cannot wait for them to go bankrupt in the next 5 years.

So, I use delivery services once a week, maybe once every other week. I've used Doordash many times, and Uber Eats. Grubhub is far and away the worst service out of all the choices.
On TWO separate occasions, probably 3 months apart, they delayed my order delivery an hour and a half or more. That would be bad enough, but the order gets sent directly to the restaurant first, so even if the driver picks it up and completes the order, the food will be very cold and stale.
This is beyond unacceptable for a delivery business. It is unforgiveable. I will never again use GH for anything, I'm done with them.

I want to like GrubHub, but they suck. The took over food delivery from Yelp. Their delivery estimates are always wrong. They take much longer, but don't communicate that until the moment the original estimate passes. So, for example, an estimate of 6:20 to 6:40 becomes 7:00 to 7:20... at 6:39. Do they call? No. Email? No. You must proactively go into their horrible app to see diner's an hour late. If you call, they apologize. Who needs their cheap and easy apologies? Fix what's broken.
