“Customer help would not admit or acknowledge mistake”

Order was delivered 1 hour early. The order was for 2 people and $144. Customer help would not acknowledge and when I sent them the receipt that was proof of delivery time they said it was not attached on e mail properly whatever that means. Avoid GRUBHUB if possible.

We order staff lunches on a regular basis from GH, but today is the 3rd time in a row that items from our order are missing! It's not just a side item, it's someone's lunch! It wasn't the restaurant that made the mistake, it was GH that didn't send it through to the restaurant. We checked the receipt from the restaurant. The only solution they have every time is to give a refund and then you can order the item again. PROBLEM - you have a minimum order of $20, so your item that was missed is only $10 and you have to order extra to make the $20 up! They can't arrange for a driver to pick up your missing order, which is their fault! So, actually at the end, YOU, STILL sit with the problem! This is pathetic!

We ordered two Reuben Sandwiches in Seattle at some restaurant, they delivered one sandwich. We called the driver to let him know and he said we should take it up with the Restaurant. We called the restaurant, they said they received the other half of our order later. So we went onto the support network group for Eat24. They replied after 12min and after we explained that we didn't get our entire order we paid for they stopped responding. After three hours AND after the restaurant already closed we asked for a refund. STILL no word from them, my husband sent emails and several requests. Never heard back from them. Will never make use of them ever again. They could've atleast give us some feedback and assist us in the situation THEY put us in.

I would have given less than a star but that is not an option. This is the worst experience I have ever had. They Double charged me and I have to fight to get back one charge. They give you the run around and they definitely do no take any responsibility. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE...

I waited for my food and watched as the driver went in the opposite direction... he then said my food was delivered. It wasn't. I called and was told that the driver couldn't reach me - so too bad. What? Had to demand to speak to manager to get refund. And no food.

Cancelled order 5 days to get my money back... If I could just get everyone in the USA to loan me $50 for 5 days...
The customer service rep sucked so bad basically told me to suck it up and wait for my money to be returned since the restaurant was closed when their driver got there. Not admitting any guilt there that the driver was late for the pickup just that they were closed... pppfffbt. GO ELSWHERE FOLKS!

I have been ordering from GrubHub quite a bit recently and trusted their "guarantee"; I had (have) a problem with a recent order, and after too much back and forth with their apparently not very qualified customer support, they tell me to call the restaurant "who'll take good care of me".
The restaurant (Bertucci's) took awful care of me on more than one occasion, and I'm supposed to call them-NO.

Never order here again never got my order just got a refund that i have to wait for 5 days but you got my money today and on top of that the driver would not anwser his phone for me or grubhud customer service f up right never again

I signed up for the trial for the plus membership because I wanted to use the perks and try it out. And less than a week later I tried to go and cancel my subscription and the membership isn't even showing in my GH account so I had no way of canceling it myself. I wrote to customer service and they "say" they take such things very seriously but basically told me I need to dispute it with my bank and since the membership isn't showing up in my account I should no longer be receiving any charges. I did just that and I was still charged again 30 days later in my other bank account (that I've used in the past but not for this transaction). WTF!

Sent me a $2 coupon to reorder from the same place I usually. I tried the coupon and the requiremenst to increase purchase price os I did (stupid). Then I sent the order - restaurant recived the order 30 minutes late and I had to wait for one hour. On top of that, the $2 was not given since I had to pay by credit card. What a scam... never again

We ordered during the coronavirus outbreak in WA, and left explicit instructions to the driver to buzz the door. The driver never buzzed the door, and didn't respond when we texted back within the minute. When we went outside 20 minutes later to check, we found someone had messed with the food and it was open and looked like it was eaten. Grubhub was very unhelpful and just said "sorry, we will try to improve". I had to throw the food away since I wasn't risking my health. Terrible customer service and callous drivers.

We just did our first order with GrubHub. We ordered food at 7:20pm from a restaurant through GrubHub. At 8:30pm, Grubhub called us to let us know that the restaurant was closed, and that we would not get our food. We could not understand why 1) that restaurant was on the list of GrubHub restaurants, and that they were not aware that this restaurant was no longer open and 2) why it took them over 1 hour after we ordered our food to let us know that it was closed. Poor service- we will not use GrubHub again.

A COMPLETE DISASTER! We ordered some pizzas from Devitas at 7:30. Over an hour later we called and learned that Eat24 had not notified them of our order until 8:30. An hour later we got another call from Devitas advising that their driver could not find our house. Turned out Eat24 gave them the wrong address! Two and a half hours after placing our order we had 3 expensive cold soggy pizzas! Eat24 offered to give us a "partial credit" on our next order. I asked them why I would need a credit since, as far as I knew, I was not paying them anything. They would not confirm or deny whether I was paying them for the order.

Like many others, I had a missing item in my delivery. Also like many others, this is not the first time it happened. In fact it was the same item, on two different occasions (with one successful delivery in between). When I called, grubhub offered to refund the price of the item (not the delivery fee, nor the service fee). They certainly do not offer to correct the situation and have someone pick up the missing item (my dinner).

I realize fried chicken is not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. But, when you order dinner, pay fees, taxes and a tip, wait 45 mins and then not only not receive your dinner, but spend time arguing with customer service about why you want your chicken cause you can't eat a $10 refund, it's frustrating to say the least.

Not only that, they have outsourced their customer service to the Philippines and leave them without managers or any sort of authority to make you whole, you can tell how much this company cares about people.

After 2 consecutive days fighting with some poor customer service agents (3 am their local time in the Philippines), I got the chicken refunded and the service and delivery fees.

I'm going to just go pick up my food from now on. It's better for all involved.

This company doesn't respect its employees. Also, the CFO sold significant amounts of his stock on 11/7/16 and released his email asking the employee's who voted for Trump to resign, which tanked the price of the stock. BAD idea to use this business.

We ordered food one Friday night and when we opened the bag, half our food was missing. Based on the GrubHub satisfaction guarantee, I contacted grubhub customer service who said they would refund my money. I waited 5 business days and when the refund didnt appear, I contacted customer service again. They told me to be patient and said refund would appear soon. I waited another 3 days and refund still didnt appear so I contacted customer service again. This time they said that although they told me they would issue a refund that it had been too long and so no refund would be coming. So basically they told me to be patient and then told me I waited too long. Either way, I am out $50. The customer service people were beyond rude and had no interest in helping me. BBB complaint coming next.

I've been ordering grubhub since the on set of 2020 like most of us. COVID. I've had orders dropped or they couldn't get there. But I live in a very easy house. I have my phone # updated, I give great tips. I know if they drop it or say they couldn't deliver. I get the refund I'm a patient person I have kids. But when they are hungry its gloves off!. I ordered tonight after a 20hr shift. The driver said she looked for 5 mins and called 2x. I had my phone on me and I was outside. She never called, marked it as delivered, and then berated me for it. Annie should not serve anyone, I'm surprised she has a job. She needs to find something for a more simple person, I'm sure shes enjoying our steak.

I placed an order with GrubHub 4 days in advance. On the morning of my delivery when my order hadn't arrived at the time scheduled, I called GrubHub customer service and for one hour they were trying to reach dispatch to assign a driver to pick up my order. After one and a half hours later GrubHub told me they had to cancel my order because they could not find a driver anywhere in San Diego. I will never ever use them again. Their job is to drive to pick up food ordered on line and they can't find one driver to pick up an order I placed, so they CANCEL my order? This order was sitting at the restaurant ready for GrubHub to pick it up. I paid for delivery. I am appauled and disgusted with GrubHub.

Tip for consumers:
Do not use GrubHub EVER!!!

STEER CLEAR AWAY. The company is a huge cheap rip-off, wouldn't even provide a full refund of my delivery order when my driver, Hamado didn't even muster ringing my doorbell upon arrival. They said a "full refund" could not be placed because Hamado had tried calling me, but if the guy had simply rung the doorbell none of this problem would have occurred. They kept insisting only a 50% refund would be provided which is absurd.

Hope Hamado and Grubhub enjoyed the free meal and fee they ripped out of their customers. Disgusting company. Use Postmates, Ubereats instead.

Omg- i don't ever order from delivery services but this evening i was lazy, kids was driving me nuts and i didn't wanna cook. I gave in and ordered. Two hours later- no food! Trying to track my order and driver goes off grid. Text him and the only response i get is a no reply number from grubhub telling me there was a problem and order couldn't be fulfilled. Wow my kids is hungry and i don't get notice until over two hours later... i ended up going to that very restaurant and placing a takeout. Owner tells me it hasn't been the first time grubhub failed to pick up and deliver a order. But who's responsible for the food that wasn't picked up? We are dealing with economic loss here i hawaii due to covid and we are all struggling. Then i wanna contact grubhub directly but none of their emails link to anyone worth anything and there are no contact numbers! Annoying...

For our Christmas Eve, we ordered at Grubhub for delivery from Chili's. I placed the order the day before using Grubhub's advance order feature so that the restaurant WOULD NOT RUN OUT OF RIBS OR STEAK on that busy day.

So at the time our food was supposed to be here, nothing. I called the restaurant and they told us Grubhub did not send them an order for us! I called Grubhub, who never even apologized, and they sent the order in to Chili's then!

By that time Chili's had run out of ribs and our entire meals were late. Grubhub gave us a $5 credit when they should have refunded the whole order amount! Grubhub ruined our Christmas Eve meal and we will never ever use them again! All of our friends know about this, as well.

I saw a commercial for $10 off your first order. I decided to try using the app to get carryout from a resteraunt I have never tried that was advertised on their site. After I placed my order using the $10 off coupon I realized the resteraunt had their own site that you could order online from. Grubhub was 61 cents more than I would have paid ordering directly from the website. That was after the $10 off. I will never use them again.

I have used grubhub 5 times through yelp. Every single time, they get the order WRONG. I keep trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they honestly suck. One time, I had my wisdom teeth pulled out, so I ordered boneless wings since I had a major headache and didn't want to step out of the house. I ordered honey bbq since that was the only flavor that wouldn't infect my gums. When I received my order, they gave me SPICEY CHIPOTLE SAUCE WINGS ( which would severely irritate my gums and cause an infection). Like... really? How hard is it to order something correctly? I refuse to use yelp now because of Grubhub.

He thinks he is above the law and think that he can threaten his employees at his whimp and fabcy... just because he is the crybaby CEO. Where's your compassion to employees who are busting their balls to make money for you? Talk about injustice... this a perfect example.

I will never order from this company again. I was given a 70 min delivery time. The time the food was to be delivered to my house i got a call from the delivery driver that the restaurant closed and that seemless/grubhub just gave them my order for pick up. They driver explained that seemless/grub hub does this all of the time. I will never order from this company again!. There are plenty of competitors, i suggest everyones uses the competitor.

I'm not saying anything negative about the food I ordered. However I ordered Chinese food at 5:56pm, it said time of arrival would be around 6:45-6:55pm... 7:05pm rolls around and I get a text message saying order was just confirmed and it'll take ANOTHER 45 minutes before we get out food. I realize it's only food and I'm not going to starve, but really? This is stupid and I'm not ordering through this place anymore.
