Check your receipts. Past month Grubhub has been increasing service fee after order delivered when charge posts to account. Food price, tax and tip stay same, but their service fee increases. For example when orders placed fee $4. Final charge then $4.80. How is this not illegal? Beware!
Would be nice to be sent discounts on purchases once in awhile. I've spent $1,000 in 6 months and the only offer/discount I was offered was upon sign up.$7 measly bucks! Thanks a lot!
Grub hub was late or never coming was 3 times in a row. Three times! They also have extremely bad customer service and very few food options. It was much better as LA Bite.
Waited 2 hours for food for them to cancel order grubhub claims difficulty in finding a driver but will take 7 to 10 days to refund my credit card bunch of bs never again
If you attempt to escalate an issue you've had to hold employees accountable, they will simply end the chat. I've attempted to speak to management & my chat was ended prematurely. I then attempted to report a grievance for the customer service rep. And my chat was ended prematurely.
It seems, the customer service individuals are either not allowed to, or don't want to be bothered with anything outside of the normal complaints.
If there is any issue with your order, you will either receive a refund or have it delivered again. There is nothing given for the inconveniences.
If an order has missing item(s), you get a refund for the item(s). The driver who failed to deliver all the items still gets the full tip. You cannot tip low & add a custom amount after delivery because your food will almost always be delivered late or not at all.
It is a flawed system run by people who don't want to be bothered to do anything but the bare minimum.
I'm done using this app and I would never recommend it to anyone in my area (Northeast US). There's plenty of alternatives that aren't as poorly operated.
I was already concerned about how grubhub treats its employees, and now that their predatory CEO has shown how little he cares about them or 50% of America who voted against crooked Hillary, I will NEVER use grubhub again.
For real - you're hungry after busting your rear for 8 hours and you don't want to cook. You think, yeah why not, I deserve this. So you get yourself all excited, pick out that tempting food you haven't had in absolute ages, and then you wait.
And if you're like me, you keep waiting.
And waiting.
And if you're still hopeful your food will come, please allow me to be the bearer of bad news. It won't.
I've tried Grubhub a few different times, with the results being more often than not the food being obscenely late, or not being delivered at all. One driver picked up the food, then drove off to eat it. Another took the delivery but never actually picked it up. One driver was two hours late and when we contacted them, they said they were having car troubles but not to worry - they had the food and it would still be delivered!
Honestly, between this and their abhorrent business practices, you're better off ordering directly from the restaurant and picking it up yourself. Do not download the app. Do not wait three hours for cold food.
I enjoy the food but when I pay for it I expect to get what I ordered 2 times now they $#*!ed up my order and the driver told me I had to give him a tip bite that you don't ask for what you may or may not get and its rude
I ordered food never got the food I called like 10 times before I got ahold of someone and when I did they told me there was nothing they can do for me and offered to give me ten percent off I would recommend you use other options they charge to much anyway
We are so sick and sad that a great company like LA Bite, whom we have relied on for several years for easy, pain-free, on-time food delivery, has merged with Grubhub. We gave it a shot for the first time this evening and were SORELY disappointed. The default method of delivery on their web site is "Delivery", but when our food hadn't arrived over an hour later, we called. Grubhub said we told them we would pick the food up at the restaurant. WHAT? First off, if we intended to pick up our meal, WHY THE HECK DO WE NEED GRUBHUB? We would have simply called the restaurant! Why did we add a 10% driver tip? We have never seen such incompetence and will never use Grubhub again. My favorite news headline would be Grubhub Bankruptcy.
I travel the US for a living and have used Grub Hub in multiple cities I understand that things happen HOWEVER THINGS happen consistently with Grub Hub. Hours to deliver cold food. Text messages that state something is going to be delivered late. But THEY ARE WORKING ON IT. Grub Hub is a nice idea IF and that's a BIG IF it was done properly. Save your money avoid using this service. No matter what city you are in or what state, it's a total rip off.

Avoid Grub Hub. Unless of course you like cold food that is consistently delayed and text messages that are completely incorrect.
I am pregnant and starving, I ordered food through the Eat25 app and it never arrived! So I waited for 1.30 hours and someone called and said they were running behind with the food and that they were going to waive the delivery fee, so i was Ok with it. After 2 hours I checked the app and see that I couldn't check the status of my order anymore, so I contacted customer service and they said that the delivery service has cancelled my order! Really? After waiting for 2 hours and got zero notification! This is awful!' They credited my account and refunded the amount but that doesn't make up for the time I waited to get my food and didn't get anything at the end. I am deleting this app and will keep using UberEATS or favor! I have never had issues with them. Make yourself a favor and do not use this app!
I have used Grubhub many times and thought I was a really good customer. Guess Grubhub doesn't care how good of a customer you are though. The first time I had a problem with them charging me twice for the same food. I called in a few days later and Grubhub says they "can't do anything about it and it's too late to be reimbursed even with Grubhub credit." I filed a dispute and got my money back. Easy, but it took some extra time that Grubhub could have spent handling the problem. I also have been experiencing a difference between pricing on Grubhub and restaurant pricing. Grubhub has charged me a few extra dollars on some occasions. I call back a few days later and guess what the response is? "Can't do anything about it and it's too late to be reimbursed." Wow, well if Grubhub can't fulfill my order correctly after I have already exchanged my money for its service/product, then it seems like Grubhub has little integrity, little customer service, and a plan to rip off their customers. My advice... if you have a problem with how Grubhub is charging you then file a dispute with your bank. Usually the bank will solve your problem.
I ordered food from it, the follow my order map showed me the driver driving around Boston, before crossing the bridge to Cambridge and my boyfriend waited for this guy for more than 40minutes at the hotel door and the guy never made it with the dood.
I've contacted the customer support and they just said the driver had been there but that is a lie. Never did the driver tried to contact me - they had my phone number.
I did not accepted a voucher - as I cannot trust a company that lies so bluntly to my face not do I want to male business with them again. So after I said no they Told me to wait for a minute and never got back to me to solve this problem. So I was scammed on roughly 48USD.
What happens when your driver doesn't pick up all your food? You gotta go get it or be out the food. Grubhub so solution was 20% off my next order. I'll just pick it up myself losers
I believe it might be the location too, but I started delivering for them 2 days ago in upstate NY, in the evening and I must say its busy, A driver can only do so much, they want you to take deliveries in the middle of a delivery which is crazy, a couple of wrong addresses and well probably if they brought a couple more drivers aboard at that time, it would solve that problem but all these issues need to be solved higher up in corporate, they can do better.
I am in Florida, I used GrubHub once, maybe twice, then I get a notice from my bank that my debit card was used in New York. I see where, call the restaurant & verified that someone did indeed use my debit card THRU GRUBHUB in New York. Bank took care of it for me & I notified GrubHub via email. In checking my previous orders on GrubHub I notice one in Pennsylvania as well. GrubHub responded to my email & stated I can no longer use their service because I filed fraud claims. Really? WOW! I guess I am supposed to pay for other peoples food to continue using GrubHub. No Thanks
This company is unbelievable! Their website 'offers' Pay Pal, but then it doesn't work. They offer credit/debit card payment - same problem. It tells you that 'a menu item you ordered is no longer available' but won't say which item is the problem. After 30 minutes of trying to order, I searched - and searched - and searched - and finally found a 'customer care' number where the person's idea of 'help' was to be exceptionally condescending and then tell me to 'use another browser' without even knowing what browser(s) I had already used. So I wrote to the company and after a trite apology, they said their site was working and recommended that I contact Pay Pal since it was 'obviously' their problem. They also said I should use another browser. They are rude, incompetent and unhelpful. I have the top used browsers on the internet - Explorer, Chrome and Firefox. My histories and cookies are deleted every time I close the browser. The problem is THEM and their attitude. Don't waste your time or your money of this useless company. Put them out of business so someone reputable can take over.
We ordered at 10:40 pm. Order originally showed delivery time around 11:40 pm. Then after 20 minutes the time was changed to 12:05am. At 11:40pm our driver was established. The driver was close to taco bell by 1145 and then the order was canceled because the store was closed at 12. Not okay and bad customer service. Will not use grub hub again.
The restaurant that I ordered from has been waiting for a tablet fix with grubhub. The driver gave my order to the restaurant, didnt read the special instructions. I recieved my order, it was wrong, I didnt recieve everything that I ordered. The restaurant was willing to redo the order but grubhub didnt have a driver. So after a long day at the hospital with my dad we went to bed with no supper. Learned from this mistake. I am going to make sure that I tell everyone that I know not to use grubhub.
I placed an order and received a confirmation that my order would be picked up between 5:45pm and 5:55pm. I waited but by 6:20 I realized something was wrong. I contacted Grubhub and they tried to tell me I chose the option to pick up my own order. I didn't even know that was an option. Why would I place an order through a 3rd party and pay a fee just so I could go pick the order up? Does that make sense to anyone?
Till recently their service was very prompt, but for the last several time, the service was horrible. The guaranteed time was 8:45PM and then push to 9:20PM and we got the food after contacting the Helpdesk around 10:30PM and the food were cold by then. I won't recommend their service to anyone until they fix these issues.
Yelp linked me to Grubhub to order food online at a local restaurant for pickup. I tried 3X to place my order and each time I got the message "Oooops! Something went wrong. Please try again." After 3 tries I gave up and called the restaurant to place my order. After I had picked up my food an paid the restaurant I got an email from Grubhub saying my order had gone through and was charged a second time. I called them and explained the situation and they said they couldn't give me a credit back on my card. I asked them to call the restaurant and work it out with them but they claimed they couldn't get through to them. I called the same number and got right through to the restaurant and fortunately they agreed to credit my card for the amount I paid them directly. I will NEVER knowingly use Grubhub again. Terrible experience and they may NO effort to resolve the problem.
This site is awful. I placed an order, THEY messed up that order and then told me there was nothing they could do about it. Then they offered to give me $5 in "GRUB HUB DOLLARS" to apologize for the error. He then got snippy with me at the end of our conversation. I was starving and this crappy company messed up my order, and then gave me attitude.
Grubhub will not deliver in our neighborhood, which has dozens of restaurants within a one mile radius. Two other delivery services have plenty of choices. 100% fail on this joke of a business.
I've tried ordering from them twice. Both times the delivery would be delayed for over two hours, and then they would just cancel the order entirely. They did refund, but this is ridiculous!
