“Fees increase after delivery”

Check your receipts. Past month Grubhub has been increasing service fee after order delivered when charge posts to account. Food price, tax and tip stay same, but their service fee increases. For example when orders placed fee $4. Final charge then $4.80. How is this not illegal? Beware!

Had to call the restaurant after ordering on-line via Eat24. They could not figure out why there was such a delay with Eat24 but I now know enough not to use the service ever again. Terrible.

I waited over 40mins for my food to be deliver and then GRUBHUB has the audacity to CANCEL just like that. This is unacceptable and unbelievable! Good Bye GRUBHUB! Never again will I order from you...

Late! Cold food and bag was stapled by restaurant cause I could see the staple holes but no staples. Bread had chunk missing from it. The driver was named Gift. More like a gift from hell!

Super disappointed Ordered 3 days prior to going to Nashville with 7 friends
Wanted to order breakfast for everyone
Order never came, then they canceled the order completely on me. Never Again will I trust Grub Hub

It is supposed to be free delivery because of covid-19 and my total said something else and then they charged me $10.23 extra for a card verification so the total that they overcharged me was $19.37

ORDERED ONLINE DRIVER CALLS TO SAY ORDER IS NOT READY HE LEAVES THE PLACE OF ORDER AND MOVES ON
SPOKE TO MANAGER REQUESTING REFUND TO DATE STILL NOTHING FROM THEM TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND POOR MANAGEMENT

I ordered food at about 12:00am for my wife and i who were both starving and hadnt ate sinve breakfast. The delivery tine said 60 to 75 minutes, but we were willing to wait because nothing else was open. 120 minutes later we checked the status and it said to call the restaurant. The reataurant yelled ALL ORDERS ARE OUT! And then hing up on me. At 3:30 am i finally got on chat to get a refund OR more food... and they said refund would be issued in 3 to 5 days, and we would get a 5 dollar credit. We never got the credit, and we still dont know if refund is coming. No one called when waiting, app still said delivery was on the way when it was already 45 minutes late... and when trying to refund isnt easy. Anyway, company sucks. There are better options out there... door dash etc

THE WORST - the absolute worst. They FREQUENTLY cancel orders AFTER you've waited an hour and longer for food. It's absolutely ridiculous. And then they give you a "discount" on your NEXT ORDER. Forget it - I'm Uber Eats all the way. Screw you Grub Hub.

Ordered food for Fathers day. Grub hub said food was delivered yet when I called the restaurant the food wasn't even cooked yet. Grubhub then cancelled my order leaving a FATHER WITHOUT HIS SURPRISE MEAL. Not nice and Grub hub should have made this right. I dont want to hear "we cant reach our driver, sorry". Get with it, you charge enough! Unhappy customer on Father's Day.

I LOST 188 DOLLARS TO A FRAUDULENT CHARGE. LOST ACCESS TO THE ACCOUNT. THEY ARE ABLE TO DO NOTHING ABOUT THIS. WAS TOLD THERE FRAUD DEPARTMENT WOULD CONTACT ME AND IT NEVER HAPPENED. I CALLED FOR WEEKS WITH NOBODY KNOWING ANYTHING AND COULDNT DO SQUAT. THERE WERE ABLE TO TAKE OUT THE CREDIT CARD THAT WAS USED BUT COULDNT TAKE OUT THE REST OF THE CARDS I HAD ON FILE! INSIDE JOB. $#*! GRUBHUB.

They hire a bunch of criminals that steals your food and won't be delivered to you this place should not be operating like this I really think they are just not professional at ALL I didn't even want to give them one star period

I got an email saying to download the app and my first order would give me $7 off it didn't work so I called they told me I was making up emails just to get discounts (I've never had a discount) just because I had more than one email on my account and when I spoke to the manager she said oh sorry coupon don't work nothing about what their employee said to me

Folks avoid this 9.99 nonsense, I could've took an uber to the restaurant and still beat the time. Or the restaurant directly would've been faster. Grubhub is a bad business model

This place is terrible. An error message on their site caused me to order twice and therefore I was double charged. Their customer service is horrible at getting me a refund.

Terrible liars. No refunds when they screw up. How are they in business still!? I will never use grub hub again. There are plenty of restaurant delivery options that are excellent!

They suck don't use them waited an hour then I called for them to tell me the food was set for pick up so I ask the lady if I can get it for delivery she says she will set that up hour later I check again to find out the lady never did $#*! two hours and still no food $#*! grubhub ruined my dinner and it's always $#*!ing cold food even if I order hot soup!

I used to never have issues with them. Thet were always awesome. Customer service was great always on time, no issues Etc. But I moved ro a different city and it ended up being a disaster. I have put instructions for the delivery driver d none of them follow it. One of them actually yelled st me poon the phone and straight up told me no. When I went til get the food from her. She was on the phone ans threw the food st me and stormed off like I was an inconvenience. I notified grub hub of this ans all I got was a refund and a we will check on this. I doubt it. I asked grub hub if that have apolicy against my instructions and they said that the drivers are ro follow it. None of them have and all I get is none of them following it and having drivers yell st me for it dnd refuse too

I hate this whole company. Grub count your days. Sure it was only 5 dollars but the fact that I was charged twice. All because you guys f'd up the order.

Grubhub has twice in a row had drivers "run off with my food." They have a reputation for not qualifying their drivers. Horrible. I will never use their services again.

The site didn't work as smoothly as I'd hoped it would. I created an account, set up a group order and sent the link out to a few people that wanted to join me. After getting the orders placed, I was ready to finalize the cart, pay my share and submit the order for delivery. And that's when it all began. I spent about an hour on the chat with someone because I kept getting an error (after I paid, of course). We transferred the cart ownership to another person on another computer and it still didn't work. I decided to ditch the cart and just go there in person. She told me that we'd get our money back in a few days after the cart "dropped" off my account. This never actually happened - I had to get back on the chat with them to fix it! Another 45 minutes for them to get to the point and tell me what needed to be done.

Also, I checked my credit card, they had not only requested the pre-authorization - they actually took money from my account. When I asked about the refund, they said within 5 business days. So... they will take your money before you even submit your order AND take 5 days to give it back?

No cool Yelp Eat24. Not cool.

Tip for consumers:
Go somewhere else.

I don't live in a very large town like Los Angeles or San Francisco, but there were 6 restaurants to choose from that came up when I put in my address and I placed an order and was given a 45 minute to an hour delivery time period as it got closer to the hour it then updated and said it was going to be an additional hour in 15 minutes. So I canceled the order and now I'm hungry and pissed off.

There needs to be a 0 star option. 1.5 hours later, they said they attempted to call and deliver. No missed calls, emails, notifications and I have a ring doorbell that records and shows that no one rang my doorbell or attempted to come to the door. They said they don't require them to get out of their car so sometimes they call, which was not what happened. They even confirmed no call attempts were made. It is unacceptable for them to lie about this and say they made an attempt. They just probably went home and enjoyed the food that they expected me to pay for. Then they had a hard time taking responsibility for it. The first guy said 50% my next order with them, but that didn't include refunding the order of the food we didn't get. I had to speak with a manager to get them to agree to refund me and that's how they made it right' with free delivery next time. Get out of here! That is the worst customer service. We were starving and everything was closed after waiting on them for this long. They need better policies and better customer service with the ability to make up for their mistakes. I will only use postmates going forward. I recommend you do to (which means no Yelp orders).

I requested a pizza home delivery on 08/07/21 from Chicago Pizza Grub Hub took over from ok m there and proceeded to bang out unbelievable charges for the topping I requested. After my requests they then asked what amount of money I wanted to tip, I refused to participate in that request however Grub Hub assessed a 9.80 tip fee all of which was not reveled untill I provided my card information long story short the GRUBBED $64.93 for an average of. Pizza! I immediately hit the cancellation button which then went through an endless spinning cycle! I monitored the spinner for the next 90 minutes and then had a Ring alert which was the GH delivery person at my doot who ran to my door pressed the door bell dropped the Pizza box and literally ran to her car and sped off! What a flipping RIP OFF!

I'm hungry. That's not likely to change soon. I have now wasted 90 minutes attempting to order dinner online. I did not choose Grubhub; I have no idea if the restaurant did. As far as I can tell, the order did not go through as the restaurant does not have my order. It's a Chinese restaurant, so when I telephoned them the communication was more frustrating then it might have been. I do not know if the PayPal charge will show up. Grubhub has provided no way to contact them through traditional means (telephone, e-mail). I don't do "social media" nonsense It takes awhile to find the "chat with us" link, but it's a waste of time as the chat utility never actually loads. So have I paid $66.67 for a dinner I'll never see or what? Will the restaurant be charged for a "service" that was never tendered? Who knows with these guys, but the next time I want to order online - if I see that it goes through Grubhub - I'll just bail out immediately. Guess I'll see what's in the freezer. Grubhub: useless and a waste of time - maybe a waste of money.

UPDATE: I started to use BeyondMenu at the same restaurant that was a total failure on GubHub. I have since used BeyondMenu twice more with no problems of any kind. I don't know if they offer delivery; I'd rather pick the food up myself.

Being under shelter in place orders and being tired as hell from a long hospital shift, we placed a $50 order for Thai food. Driver was shown being in the wrong place at the time our order was supposed to be delivered, then marked it as delivered 15 minutes into the future. We called GrubHub, then called the driver (who was supposed to be a woman, but a man answered) - driver said that he was "waiting in a long line outside and it's a mess, blah blah blah..." basically BS. We waited another 20 minutes, called restaurant and found out that our order was indeed given to the driver more than an hour previously. Called GrubHub, explained what happened and that the driver probably stole our food. We are supposedly getting a refund, but I'm contacting my bank just to be sure. I WILL NEVER EVER USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN. WHAT GALL TO TAKE OUR FOOD AFTER I PROBABLY SAVED SOMEONE YOU KNOW AT THE HOSPITAL!
