“Fees increase after delivery”

Check your receipts. Past month Grubhub has been increasing service fee after order delivered when charge posts to account. Food price, tax and tip stay same, but their service fee increases. For example when orders placed fee $4. Final charge then $4.80. How is this not illegal? Beware!

Great idea but works terribly. Probably nothing against the company but it takes an hour and a half and is always cold and costs $25 for a cheap meal. Just not worth it unless you are starving.

I placed an order at 4:30pm. I received a text from grubhub at 6:56pm saying "Something went wrong with my order"? When I called the Grubhub customer service number the employee told me my food will arrive by 7:20pm? I was so upset and hungry, I canceled my order and asked for a refund immediately. The Grubhub's employee said it'll take 3 to 5 business days. In other words I paid $53 for their mistake and wouldn't receive my money back until next week. HORRIBLE SERVICE! This was such an inconvenience! I WILL NEVER order from there again!

I've used GrubHub a few times. In the past it was an ok experience but never great. Today however was just plain awful from start to finish. First, when I tried to place my order there was a message saying their credit card processing was down. I didn't have cash (and didn't want to go out - hence the reason for ordering with them). I tried to use their chat help feature 4 different times and each time got disconnected before anyone answered. On the last try I typed in the message for someone to call me if they wanted my business. The guy who called me back didn't really seem very concerned about the problem, but he did offer to give me a $10 credit.
Then when my food came it was the wrong food. On the order menu when I selected my entree it gave me a choice of what side I wanted. Not only was my entree incorrect but so was the side. While it is slightly possible that this is the restaurant's error and not GrubHub's, considering all of the other issues I had today I am inclined to believe that GrubHub forwarded the order incorrectly to the restaurant. When I complained about the order being wrong I received another $10 credit. So yippy, now I have $20 in credits with a service I never want to use again!

I had numerous different experiences using Grubhub and some been good. However, maybe Grubhub should explain how the service works when customers order. I ordered a sandwich and a pastry from a deli. The sandwich's egg was spicy by default which I think should've been an option not something default. They got me the wrong drink, gave me the wrong pastry and added a random item to my order.

Perhaps restaurants shouldn't list food on the menu that they always never have? I contacted Grubhub about the missing pastry that cost me $4.50 and they claimed to follow up with me about it and never did. It's been almost three years since I notified Grubhub of the issue. Never heard from them again.

Yes, I still use the service. But only when I'm extremely desperate. If I don't want to tip a driver, I simply won't order food or pick it up myself. This service is not worth my money. The drivers are sometimes rude, the order is sometimes wrong or mixed up, and the wait time is ridiculous. Plus, the order total is about $20 all the time for just one meal if you consider the restaurant's minimum, tax and tips or "fees". Don't forget that these delivery fees don't even go to the driver, which is even more ridiculous.

I have been a member with grubhub for about a year. The customer service presents itself as helpful but it really just a cloud of smoke to make you think you feel better. The enormous mistakes they make regarding food during a pandemic is not only not worth the risk but the money as well. If I could calculate the messed up orders, missing food and or never receiving orders, it would total my entire experience. The restaurants they partner with send you to grubhub customer service and you end up chasing your tale with no solution in site. If you get a refund it takes three days but it didn't take three days to debit the money from you. The only other solution they offer are 10% discounts... so tax. Point being, for the incredibly over price food, delivery charge, service fees and tips they try to force, it isn't worth it, in the least. I feel ashamed for continuing to use a service that takes advantage of people who are immobile and charge them twice as much, just to tell you your not important enough to deal out a real solution. I won't waste another dime with them or probably any other ride/food service. You shouldn't either!

I'll NEVER EVER ORDER THRU THEM AGAIN! Not only did the order take forever to get her, when it finally came the whole order was a mess. Called Grub Hub and was told I couldn't get a refund, so I'm or $17.00, it's bull crap. They said on my next order is get 200% off, I'll NEVER order thru Grub Hub again! DOORDASH at least has pretty good service and if the order is wrong, they'll refund your money. Grub Hub isn't going to be in business very long if they keep it up. I'd starve before I'd order thru them again! Robin Davis

Got my food cold. Melted shake as the driver went the wrong way then ended up delivering my food 10 mins past the time it was supposed to be here. Don't use them

They are in the business of delivering food. They took the order. They said it was on it's way. Then they canceled it. I called to find out why. They had no drivers. No apology. No options. No alternatives. Just "yeah, that's what it says: No drivers available". I asked for a supervisor. After 15 min on hold, I called back. Now I'm told all the supervisors have gone home. Your money will be refunded in 3-5 business days. Sorry, that's all we can do. After explaining loudly for another 15 minutes that was not an acceptable answer, I was offered a $25.00 coupon on my next order (they seriously expected me to use them again?). Then, suddenly, there was a supervisor available, so they had not all gone home. The supervisor did apologize, but said they'd already started the refund and offered me a $25.00 coupon, so there there was nothing more to do. Expect, I'm hunger and it's too late to order anywhere else and I'm out of town, so I can't just cook. Unless you like not eating, I don't recommend ordering from here.

Typical ARROGANT. 01% prick - Hillary called mexicans, "Taco bowls" and blacks "super predators" and catholics, "Misguided" laughed on TV at Murder and Killing, caused wars and misery to thousands, whored the country for $'s and married a serial rapist and always defended him.

3 times ordered, 3 times wrong. And they leave after it's been paid for and a tip given.

Dont follow instructions, cant read or speak English but they sure can drive nice vehicles.

Grub hub is terrible! Not only are their drivers terrible but their customer service representatives are terrible and not helpful. We have three different customer service representatives help us through the issue of not receiving our food and all of them hung up if we did not respond within 30 seconds of their sent message. One representative offered to only give us 10% off our next order to replace not getting our food. The driver texted us saying he delivered our food and our food was no where to be found and not even in front of any of our neighbors homes. We texted him back asking where our food was and he didn't answer. Called the company and they called him and he didn't answer. Before all this chaos we had 2 orders that they cancelled at the time of delivery. If I could give a worse rating then one it would be well deserving for this company because it is just terrible. I have since took my business to door dash and I have never had these issues. So if you want to see your food then stay away from grub hub. They should go out of business with whatever kind of scam they are running.

They have a very poor performance in taking off restaurants that are closed. Numerous times we have put an order in, and found out 30 minutes after ordering that the restaurant is closed.

They have the worst customer service ever the driver was in front of my house then realized or saw another address on the order and we spoke twice about my address and he was a front of the house with the food and then drove off call this customer service to refund my money then made me wait 2 hours to get my food and I still didn't even get it because he decided that he might be at the wrong address even though we talked twice so I called him after 30 minutes extra of waiting for it like two and a half hours now and I was like where are you musical I left because I realized I might be at the wrong address I was like but we spoke twice about my address and then his ago I don't know what I can do for you and then when I called GrubHub they made me wait like 30 40 minutes on the line before I got to speak to someone I will never ever ever use them again it's ridiculous

I've ordered from Grubhub many times, but the last 3 times have been horrible. The delivery drivers were fantastic and super nice. However, the ordering system is so flawed! Most recently, I placed an order and was immediately notified that my order was cancelled. There was no reason given. When I called the customer service number, the foreign guy who answered didn't know what company he was answering for and then proceeded to tell me that the restaurant I was ordering from was "broken" and that this wasn't the first time he'd gotten a call about it. This is a national chain restaurant. I then told him he needed to tell the powers that be to make it visible on the website that the restaurant in question is having issues so that innocent, hungry people like me and my family won't make the same mistake.
Also, I have a specific food allergy and more than once special instructions were not seen on another restaurant's end, resulting in more than one botched order being delivered. That restaurant went over and above to get the correct order delivered after I called to complain.

Even though i tipped, (and paid a 2 dollar delivery fee on top) the delivery guy left the box on the floor outside my door, and didn't bother to see that i got everything i ordered. Never again

I am forced to order limited menu. Over priced delivery. Grub hub tells me resturant is closed it is open this so called service is horrible and should be forced out of business.

I ordered 14.50 worth of food tipped 5.00. = 19.50... I was charged 32.50... wtf grubhub? I had to fight for a refund... still dont know if I will get it... stay away

I put in my order since 6:25pm as you can see in the photos. By 8:18pm my order was still "in the works". My order was supposed to arrive by 7:33pm. I didn't get my food until close to 9:00pm. That is unacceptable! I did chat with an agent and they said they would email me a $10 code but I never received it. Last night I was going to have Grubhub another try and remembered that I had a $10 coupon code in my email. I went searching for it only to find out I never did receive the email from them. Granted it would have been past the 30 day window however, to find out it was never emailed to me was very upsetting. The agent said that it shows it was emailed to me but in actually it wasn't. I'm extremely disappointed in having to wait for over 2 hours for my food from start to finish but to find out I didn't get the $10 code was even more upsetting. Not a good way of running a business!

I placed duplicate orders with grubhub and doordash at a chinese resturant that they both use. The GrubHub order (with first time free delivery) was $12.00 more!

I recently had surgery, and my husband works nights, so I decided to order from Grubhub one evening last week. From placing my order to delivery, it only took about forty minutes, and this was with a busy, non-fast food restaurant. My driver was very friendly and kept our food hot in his warming bag. He had also grabbed extras like utensils and napkins, which I appreciated. I asked him to text or call when he arrived and I would meet him in the driveway, as we have dogs that go nuts when we have visitors, and he remembered to do that, as well. I will absolutely order with Grubhub again!

I would also like to add, after reading through many of the negative reviews, that I was curious why so many people had orders canceled or had to wait so long for them, so I did a Reddit search. What I found is that if people don't tip their drivers, they are likely to get their order passed on over and over again, until some driver finally accepts it (late orders) or no driver will (canceled order). Apparently, drivers can see how much you tip them in the app when they go to accept or reject an order, so if the payout isn't large enough or there's no tip, you may not get your food. If you plan to tip in cash upon delivery, say so in the notes. I wonder how many of these one star reviews didn't tip? Other things that will help you get your food: porch lights, clear house numbers, directions if you live in an apartment complex. It's amazing, all the simple things customers can do to help themselves.

Worse appt company ever every time I order half of my order is missing Than all they do is oh we will process a refund that will last more than 10 days which by the way they owe me 450 dollars I'm sure I'm not the only one will never use this service anymore I just want my money back

If I could rate below one star I would. We have used this service at least 20 times and have given them chance after chance. Overtime we are missing an item or they are not communicating the notes to the restaurant correctly. Typically it is Tropical Grill Cafe in Alpharetta. I blame the restaurant however Grubhubs Customer Services is not helpful. They are rude and they REFUSE to refund items that are missing or incorrect. Tonight both Grubhub refused and Tropical Grill Cafe refused, so we paid for 5 people to et an only 4 were able to eat. Of course the mom made sure everyone ate. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY Grubhub and Tropical Grill Cafe, the mom did not eat tonight.
