“Fees increase after delivery”

Check your receipts. Past month Grubhub has been increasing service fee after order delivered when charge posts to account. Food price, tax and tip stay same, but their service fee increases. For example when orders placed fee $4. Final charge then $4.80. How is this not illegal? Beware!

The driver came and WOULDN'T GIVE ME MY FOOD because I only tipped 20%. He held his food in his hand, and then he YELLED at me for not tipping him more. As a teacher trying to get back into the swing of things, this is not what any of us need. Grub hub is the WORST!

Tried for first and ladt time. Didn't deliver my food. Went to go pick it up still no food. On hold twice for over 20 mins no apologies no nothing. I'm done... do not order Grubhub...

Ordered our food at 4:45. It is now 5 and 1/2 hours later and food has not arrived, despite my many phone calls and all of their excuse and apologizes. What kind of way is this to treat people?

First (and likely last) experience using GrubHub. The delivery driver failed to reach me on my cell (he was 30 minutes ahead of schedule and so I did not have my phone on me); unfortunately, rather than walking up to door to deliver food (side note: I live in a standalone single family residence in a family-friendly neighborhood), he simply left. When I called GrubHub to report the missing delivery, the rep was unable to reach the driver and offered to re-order my meal for a re-delivery. Thirty minutes later, the restaurant called me directly to see if GrubHub was sending another driver to claim the order. Confused that the rep hadn't dispatched another driver, I called GrubHub back to request a driver to pick up the ready food and was informed by another rep that they "don't do that." And nothing else -- no research to figure out the previous rep who assisted me to clarify what happened, no additional solution or assistance or offer to refund my money, nothing -- just awkward silence on their end of the phone.

Terrible customer service experience, and much more hassle than if I had just driven out to the restaurant -- which I ended up having to do anyway to feed my house full of guests.

Placed an order at 5:36PM. Confirmed for delivery at 6:25. Checked the site at 6:40 when food had not arrived. Delivery time had been revised to 7:25. Called the restaurant. THEY DID NOT HAVE OUR ORDER. Complained to customer service with GrubHub and guess what? The phone number has been disconnected and my chat went unanswered. Called the restaurant again, and THEY HAD JUST RECEIVED MY ORDER AT 6:50 PM, A FULL HOUR AND HALF AFTER I PLACED IT. Yes, forgive me, I'm shouting. Now food is expected at 7:45. WILL NEVER USE GRUBHUB AGAIN.

They say one price then they keep on tacking on prices, I ordered food and it said final cost was $19.74, then once I paid and the receipt came it went up to $21.11. Never ordering from here again.

I just received my first order, I dont have any complaints. Overall from the time I ordered -it took about 25 min to get here. I live in the valley in CA, so that is pretty good time wise.

Ordered food, food was delivered to another address, mind you there is only one street in Nashville with this address so not sure where the food went, maybe the driver was hungry and ate it. Contacted customer service and was told they would correct the issue and the food would be to me in 17 minutes, of course that time came and went, called AGAIN, and was told the food would not be delivered. A bunch of bull$#*!, just to have you waiting for food that would never come. I would not recommend this delivery service to no one. You are better off going to get your own food. They give so many refunds and credits i am surprised they are still in business, and the customer service is horrible, nothing is noted but they can see that you called. The reason things are not documented is so they can tell you whatever and not have to be accountable. CLOSE THIS COMPANY DOWN ASAP AND TAKE YOUR LOSSES!

If I could give this so called food delivery service zero stars I would. Grubhub is seriously a joke. The only reason I ordered from this app is because I received free delivery on both of my orders. I have now ordered from Grubhub twice. Both orders were the exact same from the exact same restaurant. The first order I received 20 minutes after the estimated delivery time, I was using the app to track my food and found the driver was going in the complete wrong direction of my house. I then realize that the driver had multiple deliveries before reaching my home. When I finally do receive my order it is from the WRONG RESTAURANT!
Given we are in the middle of a pandemic I try using Grubhub one more time, thinking maybe they could redeem themselves. Well, that was a mistake. I received my order significantly quicker. However, the driver still failed to deliver the correct food. I ordered 2 biscuits, a famous bowl with a diet, and a chicken little from KFC. I received two containers of macaroni & cheese, mashed potatoes, a separate container of gravy, coleslaw, a variety bucket of 8 pieces of chicken, and 12 that's right you read that correctly 12 biscuits. Now some I know would be happy they received way more food than they ordered, but if that was what I wanted, I would have ordered it. Lesson learned I will NEVER be ordering from this app ever again. I gave them a second chance and they blew it.

I'd give a 0 rating if possible. I placed an order through the app. When it didn't t arrive as stated I called the Resturant to be told because I ordered through the app it would take longer than orders called in or placed in person. When the food finally arrived 3hrs later, ice cold and incorrect the restaurant advised they would contact grubhub to process a full refund. I got a call the same night from grubhub telling me they were issuing the refund. 3wks later when I still hadn't gotten it I called back to be told it was never processed and they were going to give me an app credit, which I refused. Then they said they would issue a refund minus the tip and delivery charge. Again unacceptable. They finally (45min later) agreed to the full refund again. I'm still waiting for my refund. Terrible customer service. Not likely to use grub hub or order from Claudie's Chicken again.

This $#*!ing company doesn't do jack $#*! when their paying customers wait hours for their food only to finally find out much later that the $#*!ing loser low life drivers are stealing the food from us PAYING customers! DO NOT BE A SUCKER AND RISK WAITING HOURS TO LOSE YOUR FOOD TO THESE LOSER THUGS!

After waiting almost 2 hours for Chick fil A delivery, which is 5 min drive from my apt, and I'm downstairs waiting for driver. The driver pulls into driveway of our apt building, and was turning around and leaving! Only after I flagged him down was I finally able to get my food. If I were starving on desert island and Grubhub was only chance to survive, I wouldn't bother. WORST DELIVERY SERVICE IMAGINABLE.

Least consistent service ever. Awful. And impossible to even get customer service to help. Never got the food I ordered and couldn't even get customer service via phone, after several digital attempts to make contact. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

They only get one star because it wouldn't let me proceed. Otherwise, they'd get zero. I typed my address right... it had my current location... Still delivered to the wrong house.

Well, working in a 1 person office today so REPEATED a previously saved order that i had DELIVERED. After 1 hour i call them, oh the order was placed for pickup. Apprarantely website now DEFAULTS to pickup. Even if i was going out, whats the point of ordering through them to pickup at a subway when i could have just called the restaurant directly? And first call to the 800 # was just told "oh they don't deliver"

We placed our order, received confirmation with an estimated delivery time of 45-60 Minutes. 2 hrs and 20 mins later our order was cancelled for an unknown reason. No comminication whatsoever.

Today was my first and last experience with GrubHub. I ordered food at 10:40am. Received a text that my food would be delivered around 12pm. At 12:15pm I tried calling the restaurant and there was no answer. So, I called GrubHub. They tried calling the restaurant, still no answer. So, they were allowing you to order food from a restaurant that is literally closed! I canceled the order and asked them to send me another promo code because it would not allow me to use the promo code on the order I had to cancel and they refused to give me another one. Done. Bite Squad from now on.

I'm wondering how they managed to find the oldest, toughest chicken in the processing plant. It was supposed to be a chicken breast, but the majority of it was nothing big gristle! I'm STILL hungry!

Ordered my food and was messaged that the order was on its way to be delivered. Waited for my order to arrive. Looked at my phone and had received call from a 312 area code that is unfamiliar. I didn't answer. I then noticed I had 5 missed calls from 312 area code, different phone numbers. I called the final number back and realized it was from grub hub. Talked to a representative and asked what was going on why all the phone calls and no delivery of my food. Well the representative said that the driver attempted to deliver and was unsuccessful. Lights were on on the porch and we have a very good working doorbell, when was the attempt made and where is my food? Grub hub representative put me on hold to call the driver then came back and said that the food went back to the restaurant that won't take the food back and then it is given away to people on the street. WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!?! She just wanted to give me a refund and be done with it, no no no, we've waited 30-40 minutes and now have no food at 8:30 at night. Oh and apparently a $5 coupon is suppose to help that. I asked to speak to a manager, again put on hold... Representative comes back and says there is a high call volume and it will take 10 minutes to speak to someone. I said forget it have a supervisor contact me back. I was told it will take 24-72 hours, really!? We'll see if that ever happens. Very poor Grub hub, no more ordering from us. Not very good customer service Grub Hub, not going to last long if this is how your business is being run. Extremely unsatisfied customer.

I place an order at my local pizza place, 5 minute drive from my house. I wasn't feeling well so I was willing to pay the ridiculous amount to have it delivered. My order was suppose to be delivered at 1:40 PM. I called the restaurant at 2:30 and they said the food was sitting there waiting for grubhub. Around 4:30 I contacted Grubhub to cancel and ordered from another pizza place. At 4:53 Grubhub sent a text saying my food will arrive at 4:37 which makes no sense because it's almost 5:00. Basically I put a order in before 1:30 and grubhub showed up at 5:00. I DON'T WANT OLD FOOD THAT HAS BEEN SITTING IN THE RESTAURANT!
I didn't except the food. I never got any kind of refund and never was able to fix this situation with grubhub.

From El Pollo loco driver was late even though the store is only 10 minutes away food was cold driver was nasty and commented about no tip afraid to eat the food after his nasty attitude this is a problem I don't think I will order from GrubHub no more

$50 of food that I never saw, and I only got a 20% refund. Unacceptable.
It was my first time using Grub Hub. I selected the option to "Schedule a delivery." I carefully scheduled it for 6:00, knowing I would be away from my phone and unable to receive a delivery before then.
It arrived at 5:45. They could not get in touch withe me (duh, that's why I scheduled it for 6:00). They left. $50 worth of food. Gone.
They offered me $50 in Grub bucks... no thank you, I do not want to use this useless service again. And then they offered 20% refund. So I received $9.40 refunded... for $50 of food I never received. I chatted online with help, I called and spoke to a Supervisor. They absolutely will not budge. "It's a delivery service, and sometimes deliveries come early."
Then why do you offer the option of scheduling anything? There is no disclaimer explaining their definition of a delivery service. There is no warning when you supply a phone number that if you do not answer in time your food will disappear.
False advertising. Terrible customer service. I mean they were polite enough, but what a terrible policy. To not hold up your side of the delivery bargain, and claim that that's just how it is, and not refund the money? I can't believe that's allowed. Unacceptable. Never again.

This is the second time I have tried to order food with GrubHub. Both experiences were horrible to say the least. The first time the restaurant actually called me to see if I wanted to pick up the order myself because the driver never arrived. This time, my order delivery time got backed up 20 minutes because of the driver and they only delivered half of the order. When I asked where the chips and drinks were the delivery person said I did not order them, even though the store had called to ask what chips I wanted since they did not have the kind I ordered. After fighting with me about if I actually ordered them or not she pulls out her phone and said look it just says sandwich. Guess what word was right next to the sandwich? COMBO! Sent her back to get the rest of my order. 25 minutes later she shows up with 3 bags of chips and 3 drinks that are watered down and half empty! I contacted Grubhub and they did not seem all too concerned about it. Basically a "sorry about your luck" attitude. DO NOT USE GRUBHUB! Any businesses out there considering using them for delivery - DON'T DO IT! They will give you a bad reputation.
I would give them a 0 if I could.

I recently reinstalled Grubhub on my phone. I wanted to spread the business I was giving to home delivery businesses.
I ordered and waited over an hour, after a driver change, for a message that the order could not be filled. NO EXPLANATION, NO FURTHER COMMENT.
I've greatly abridged this review but suffice it to say I removed Grubhub from my phone, I will NEVER order through Grubhub again.
