“Fees increase after delivery”

Check your receipts. Past month Grubhub has been increasing service fee after order delivered when charge posts to account. Food price, tax and tip stay same, but their service fee increases. For example when orders placed fee $4. Final charge then $4.80. How is this not illegal? Beware!

I placed my order at 6:35pm. Received a text saying the restaurant needs more time. Okay, that's fine. I've ordered from this place before. Normally they're really quick. Maybe they're slammed. Order is supposed to get here at 7:30-7:45. That's fine.

7:30 rolls around: nothing. 7:45: still nothing. Finally, at 8:20, I call the restaurant. They never received the order. If I want to wait an additional thirty minutes, they can get the food to me. I don't want to wait. I wanted my food when I ordered it two hours ago. It's not their fault. I'm not mad at them.

I contact customer support. The man I got was disinterested. He takes forever to "look into the issue" then comes back to say that they'll refund my money, but it will take 3-5 business days. GREAT. So I can't even order from another place. It takes them a minute to take the money, but forever to give it back. Now I'm hungry, tired, and it's almost bedtime, and I have no way to have dinner, so I guess I'm going to bed hungry.

From now on, I'll order from Grubhub.

I ordered Italian food 2 hrs ago and the ordered is completed! I never received my order! It looks like the people "working" there are thiefs! Last time I use Grubhub! Hope you get sick!

They're THIEVES. They take money off of your card and they don't deliver your food. Do NOT order from these people. If they decide NOT to show up hours late with your food, they will cancel your order all together without refunding your money. I've been having similar problems with DoorDash to. They're BAD FOR BUSINESS.

I live 12 minutes from taco bell, it took an hour and 16 minutes for my order to arrive. When we got our food, it was inedible, it was soggy mess.
No more ordering from GrubHub for me

The delivery driver couldn't find the apartment which was really right in front I was standing in front of him saying that's my delivery and he still look around and one he gave me my pizza he left his cell phone on top of my pizza box GrubHub is a $#*!ing joke it's supposed to be free delivery and when I ordered they charge me almost $12 for delivery fee go figure GrubHub I would like a complete refund of my money

This is not the first time I used Grubhub but trust me it will be the last time! My food gets delayed over 2 hours everytime and food is cold. I'm beyond annoyed with this company it sucks!

Every delivery service has SOMETHING if you order from them ALL THE TIME for loyalty. They give you NOTHING. BUT sometimes they will let you play a stupid game so you can TRY to get something, free delivery, 10% off, whatever, but even then if you guess wrong, you get nothing! What a joke! Sorry GH, your loyal customer is no longer loyal, but obvs you could care less anyway, so BYE!

I have had 3 separate orders say they made it that never showed I am now deleting this app. I recommend everyone delete this app and go with another delivery service.

I had a bad experience with Grubhub. Food was cold and appeared old. It smelled bad so I tossed it in the trash. Would never do business with this company again.

Grubhub user since 2012 in Chicago ny and va. Never again. Corporation personal agenda and lobbying efforts contrary to the people is exactly why TRump won. Never will use grubhub again

If I could give 0 stars I would! I ordered food on Friday 9/30/22. The delivery driver was very rude and unprofessional he left our food up at our apartment complex's office and when asked why he did not attempt to call me he stated he had which is untrue. When I explained I would contact Grubhub about redelivery he stated "but you got your food" I explained I did not he then told me to "stop complaining and go pick up my food" not sure why I paid to have it delivered and tipped for it not to have been done. He was then the driver on the redelivery and KEPT MY SECOND FULFILLED ORDER! He then texted and taunted about how if the first driver left my food up by the pool I should just go walk and find it, this is absolutely poor customer service and a horrible image to have an employee representing your company. I have attached screenshots

Gave a 1 because couldn't give a 0!
This was my second time using Grubhub and will NEVER do it again. Both times the delivery was HOURS late. HOURS. Their response was "well it's rush hour "... rush hour isn't 9pm on a TUESDAY! I am a nurse and I will be telling EVERYONE not to use this service!

I spent 3 hours waiting on my delivery from Wendys, I get my food and its cold; the only resolve is a coupon for my next delivery... I'll stick with Postmates from now on; god forbid I get a new order done with WARM food delivered.

I get my orders super fast and very hot. If you order at five o'clock in the afternoon expect your order late it's not like your driver can drive any faster than you can in traffic. Stop blaming grub hub, I've been in restaurants where I have seen grub hub drivers come in looking for their order to deliver only to see that the restaurant just completely ignored the computer screen with the order on it. If my order is wrong then I blame the restaurant, they are the ones who made it. You pay for convenience to get delivery from places that don't normally deliver. If you complain that you don't have very many restaurants to pick from, its because those restaurants don't want to pay a percentage of the order. If you want it that bad then go bug the restaurant that you want to deliver. Those with complaints about double charging or the ap not working. Those are legitimate complaints. Don't base your review on something the restaurant is responsible for instead give the restaurant a bad review.

Never order Subway on GrubHub. They took my order and and then cancelled the order because they were out of all the items I ordered. I went to bed hungry.

They Are Only Limited To Portland And Beaverton, So They Can't Travel As Far As To My House On Hillside Road! That Goes For PARTIALITY! Including They Would Not Reach Out To Others! Their App Was Shut Down On Google Play! They Were Jealous!

The 1st order I placed with Grubhub was delivered correctly and on time, so I thought to use them again to order from the same restaurant. I received a phone call and was told that the order was cancelled apparently due to a technical problem, according to the person who called me, and that my money would be refunded within 3-5 business days. She also claimed that they were not able to connect with the restaurant. The second time (a day later) I tried ordering again, and again from the same restaurant (French Meadow Cafe). Again, I was called and told they had to cancel my order because nobody answered at the restaurant, according to the person who called me, who also did not know how to pronounce the restaurant's name, and again told me that my money would be refunded within 3-5 business days. I then personally called the restaurant and had absolutely no issues getting a person on the phone, who told me that they did not receive any calls from Grubhub. Will definitely NOT use them again.

Wish I could give them ZERO stars because that's what they are worth. I normally never write bad reviews but the service from Grubhub has been so so so bad so many times that you can't even give them the benefit of doubt. They are so bad that they should shut down (sorry owner), I'm a business owner too and I don't wish that on anyone but you suck so bad that I am saying it. This is over the course of a few years I have tried them like 10 times and 10/10 they just are terrible, its like they don't even want to get better. PATHETIC. NEVER USE THEM truly I'm begging all of you.

First time ordering from grub hub, obviously going for delivery. After I had paid, it said that I was supposed to PICK UP. This was something that was not an option at this time. I called Grub Hub immediately, and was ultimately told the food preparation had already started so they couldn't cancel the order/give me a refund, only 20% off my next order. I called the restaurant to let them know I would not be picking up the food.
This was not going to work for me. I then proceeded to contact them on the chat on the app, and was told the same thing. "We apologize, we understand, there's nothing we can do"... And then they kept closing my chat down.
The final chat conversation ( I was NOT giving up!) The person seemed to be more understanding, but toward the end i was told the same thing. I then told them I had screen shot all those conversations and was going to post them on social media so everyone could see how awful the customer service was. I then left the chat and low and behold... 2 minutes later got a text notification that I was issued a full refund. Hallelujah!
Moral of the story, threaten them with social media shaming and you just might get your money back

I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. But tonight was the last time. When we discovered this site a year ago, it worked great. We had placed about 5-6 orders. Food was on time and customer service was good.
The past 3 orders have been bad. We had a problem with one order, where neither we, nor the restaurant could reach Eat24's customer service. Food missing on the next one (never got a credit for it) This last order. Was a nightmare. Food took over an HOUR and a HALF to arrive. At one point, contacted customer service. They said they were checking on it, after 10min. Still no response from customer service. Arrived ICE-COLD. The burger could be heated. But my dinner, which had sour cream on it, could not and was ruined, and our flipping drinks were missing!
We have started using another site (hint: has the words door and dash in the title) We will be sticking with them from now on. They send you a text: when they are at the restaurant, when they are on the way with your and when they are walking up to your door! Plus I constantly get credits for no reason and the one time I had a missing item, I got credits well-over what the item cost.

Tip for consumers:
If you enjoy cold food and no customer service..order away!

My order was delivered to the wrong house. The people that received it were told by the restaurant to go ahead and eat it because it came inside their house. Their house is not signed with a number. Mine is signed! And I gave very specific instructions. After three hours of dealing with this crap GrubHub would not give me a discount on the order. They said that they would give me 40% off on my next order. I was given the example if you purchased $100 worth of food you will only pay $60 well the coupon they sent me says 40% off up to $25 so that was wrong again. Also, the fact that my neighbors got my food on time for FREE and I pay full price is the most disgusting thing I've had to deal with this holiday season out of every crappy store, restaurant, and facility contact I've had! GrubHub is the worst and my experience with people eating $116 worth of food while I paid full price for the food three hours later and after having to spend almost an hour on the phone. They didn't even automatically reorder the food when the Grubhub driver, who felt bad, told them the situation. The driver said all they were willing to do was refund me which they weren't even in the process of doing when I called. My family has been sick all week and Grubhub actually made it worse and more miserable. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

I decided to try Grubhub for the first time. I ordered food around 10am and the first available delivery was for 12:15pm which was fine. At 12:20pm when there was no food I decided to look to see why I hadn't received a text message like it said I would and to see when the food should be arriving. Apparently there was a glitch and my order was never placed. So I called to see what could be done about getting the order moved up in line since it was already late. And their response- oops. What did they do to fix this? NOTHING! That is what they offered to do. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Since I am now stuck with no time to go get something else I am stuck with waiting another 60-70 minutes to get food. With all of the delivery services out there these days I doubt I'll ever be back.

I've used Grubhub since 2013. I've used it so often - especially from last year to this year.
I order from it everyday, sometimes twice a day. And recently, I've specifically written in the "additional instructions" to come meet me at the parking garage. Some drivers have called me in the past to ask me if I could meet them at the front door instead, and in those cases, I went to the front door without any trouble. But today, this driver Amanda doesn't even call me and sends me a sing text saying "I'm here with your food." So I go to the parking garage, search for her, and then call her. She says she doesn't want to come to the garage. I tell her that because I did not bring my keys, I would have to go all the way up to 5th floor to get my keys and go back out to the front door if she didn't come to the garage. She still says she's not comfortable coming to the garage. So we hang up and she leaves with my food.

What a terrible service to a regular customer. Can't believe this is how they treat their top customers? I am pretty sure that I'm one of the customers that use Grubhub most often, and why am I getting this $#*!ty service? I am not taking the food, so take that 20 bucks. And I am never ordering from Grubhub again.

I placed this order 2 hours ago, the restaurant had to prepare the food twice, as of this hour, the food STILL DID NOT ARRIVE. They keep saying wait 15 minutes or cancel the order. I will never use them again. UBEREATS IS SO MUCH BETTER.

What an awful company. Ordered food tonight and got the wrong order. That happens and it's not the company's fault, but they handled in terribly. I used their online chat which is painfully slow. I asked for a credit which they first said they can't give since I paid in cash, but grubhub will give credit even when you pay in cash. Then I asked that the restaurant return the money which I was assured they would do. This took 15 minutes on the chat. An hour went buy and the money never came. After another long and painful chat, I was told the money is on the way, that eat24 does not prepare the food, that they can only go with the information the restaurant gives them and that essentially they are not responsible for anything. After a third long chat, the restaurant owner finally called me and seemed to know nothing about the situation, but agreed to send the money. I asked the online chatter again for a credit and this time it was possible (Why didn't they just give it to me in the first place?) He asked how much I thought was fair. After two hours of dealing with this, I said $15. He told me he could give no more than $10. So why ask how much is fair? He said he'd have a long talk with the restaurant owner about this. But the problem is not the restaurant owner, it is eat24. Better off just calling the restaurant and leaving out the middleman.
