Check your receipts. Past month Grubhub has been increasing service fee after order delivered when charge posts to account. Food price, tax and tip stay same, but their service fee increases. For example when orders placed fee $4. Final charge then $4.80. How is this not illegal? Beware!
It took 1.5 hours to get from our online order to the driver to order. We ordered pizza that was going to take 3 hours to receive. We cancelled the order. We'll never use GrubHub again.
If your order is delivered wrong more than 2 times, the will not refund you and not deliver the food you order
And they will cancel your account and pretend it never happened

My food was never delivered. Grubhub cancelled the order citing that something went wrong with the delivery of the order. I will never use Grubhub again.
I signed up for GRUBHUB to get food delivered because of Covid-19... I noticed the food was more expensive butI figured it was because it was being delivered... 2 hours Later no food... my kids are hungery... we called 3 times... I had to get the food and i paid $3.00 extra per meal... called grubhub 3 times... one hung up on me... I just wanted what they stole from me... I paid extra to get it delivered not to go get it myself... GRUBHUB REFUSED TO GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. DONT DOWNLOAD THE APP
So they just cancel your order without any information. I dont know if it was a payment issue, a driver issue, a restaurant issue! Totally frustrated!

Not only did the driver lie, the overseas call center lied. According to the restaurant, the driver walked off because he did not want to show the restaurant his cell phone to correct the order.
So I just ordered grubhub tonight in LA to get veggie grill delivered. My apartment is four minutes DRIVING up the street from this restaurant on sunset boulevard. So I got a text at 9:13pm saying my driver was on their way with my food. It's 9:48 pm, still no driver, so I called the customer care line.
First, the "delivery issues" number located on my GrubHub receipt left a phone number that took me to the Veggie Grill location, not GrubHub. So I had to google GrubHub's actual customer service line to call.
I called the number and a guy answered. I told him what was going on and he said he was putting me on hold to get in contact with the driver. Instead, he put me on hold for TEN MINUTES with no update. It doesn't take ten minutes to call your driver on the job to ask where their location currently is. I know businesses often put customers on "hold" when they don't want to deal with something, so I'm thinking that was the case.
I hung up then called the number again, this time to get a different dispatcher's line. She "apologized" for what was going on and said they can't do a refund, and she would send me a text with an update. I got off the phone with her, but no text. Then she said delivery time takes an hour? When the restaurant I ordered is up the street from my apartment...? She didn't specify if this driver had other orders he was delivering or not.
I ended up getting my food right before 10, but no explanation or apology was given by the driver. And no text.
My first and last time ordering through GRUBHUB was last night. When I signed in it said your first order will be free, that was the first lie. When I finished ordering my food (total order $57.00) I went to the pay now section, where I saw the total order $92.00, and the breakdown for the order Food: $57.00; Pomo Code: -$4.00; Delivery fee; $6.49; Tax & fees: $17.87; Driver tip: $14.64 - Total $92.00. Furthermore the estimated delivery time was quoted as 55 minutes to one hour. The driver showed up 1 hour and 35 minutes, the food was cold and when I mentioned it, he said call the restaurant they are the ones to blame. I called and spoke with the manager, as was told that the food had been sitting there waiting for the driver for over and hour and that the manager had called GRUBHUB twice to see why they had not picked up the order. She also indicated that I was not the only one who had expressed dissatisfaction with the service provided by GRUBHUB and was considering stopping them from delivering her food. I am a retired individual and $35 for cold food delivery takes a large chunk out of my retirement income. I will pick up my own orders from now on!
Very, very horrible experience... they show a restaurant is open, and 5 - 10 minutes after you place the order, they call and tell you that the restaurant is closed. This is a major irritant and has happened to me quite a few times. Why can't they get a better handle on the timings of different restaurants?
I found their call quite humorous. It was around 2:00 pm EST when they called, and they said that they can get it delivered post 5 pm when the restaurant re-opens or they could go ahead and cancel the order, whatever works best for me. Really? Is either of this option the 'best' for me!
They said that they want to make sure "I am taken care of"... well, so you know the dishes I ordered, get those dishes to me on time from somewhere if you really want to take care of me. I don't know why statements like "works best for you" or "you are taken care of" are successfully used to paint a godly picture of the businesses when they actually messed up big time.
As you might have guessed, I was starving when I got the call!

I was told that since I did not answer my phone I will not get my food or money. I have been ordering food for along time and I never had to wait on a phone call to get my food
2 and 1/2 hour wait the first time.
The second time they gave me the wrong ordered and had to remake it and send it again, another 2 hour wait! The worst food service ever!
The restaurant blames you, you blame the restaurant. GrubHub never take the fault. If GrubHub hire the drivers, and their driver doesn't do his job... it's GrubHub's fault. I'm sick of it.
The CEO is a master of hate and intolerance. He will never get my business. The board should fire him. If they don't the shareholders should fire the board.
Grub hub stole my money. They claimed I ordered for pickup—why would I order through them for pickup? I ordered delivery and they took my money and didn't deliver.
So I was schedule one day from 11am to 2pm. But unfortunately I was not able to toggle in on the driver app at 11am due to Grubhubs app issues. The representative changed my schedule from 11:20am (when I called in) to 2pm. I explained to them why am getting docked 20minutes for YOUR app not working properly? They didn't give my 20 minutes and unfortunately I was not given the minimum of 11/hour for 2 whole hours.
I was also transferred to a supervisor, and didn't catch his name because he was so RUDE and he HUNG UP on me!
Driver states are always incorrect. They CHEATING. This stat went from 91% to 73% in one day just from 1 time of absent
These companies slow down fast food chains. People need to go for their own food. They make my visit to these fast food chains slow! Slow with services.
As I was walking up to the car to get my food from my driver, he made the comment of "oh you're tiny." I laughed it off because I'm a 5'1 female so yeah I am tiny, but the way he said it made my skin crawl, it was like he was making a very important observation. I reached for my food and he wouldn't give it to me, and he kept asking me personal questions to keep me by his car, like "oh you look like a nurse are you a nurse?" and "oh you must be a smart cookie." I kept trying to leave, and I'd never been in that situation before and I don't like saying "no" so I kept saying "I'm good" to try and get away. He said "you keep saying I'm good, and I'm good too so maybe we should do something about it." Then he said "let me take you out to coffee" and I finally said no and left, and could feel his eyes watching me walk away. I am filing a report with Grubhub and a police report, because that kind of behavior is unacceptable if you're going to deliver to a college campus. I'm also upset that I can't see the driver's name in my past orders, meaning I may not be able to file a police report since I can only remember his first name.
I ordered a Tostada from a local Mexican Restaurant.
Hour later - No food. Called support and the lady called the restaurant and said that the restaurant was just busy.
1:30 later - Called the restaurant and they said they had no record of my order. Turns out the first lady from Grubhub lied about actually confirming my order and talking to the restaurant.
Called Grubhub support back, got hung up on TWO times by two different people while they were "calling the restaurant"
Called back a third time and, even though i gave them my number the first two times, I asked the lady specifically to take down my number so she could call me back if we got disconnected. She now explains to me that Grubhub's systems had a glitch and thought the restaurant was closed, yet still place my order, except for the following day and without notifying me. She cancelled my order and said I had to re-place the order online. Now it won't let me place the order online.
She is looking into why it wont let me place the order and then we get disconnected again. Luckily she called me back this time and sorted it out. Finally got the order placed. Only had to wait another hour for my Tostada.
3 hours later - Finally get my food. Absolutely ridiculous. Spending an hour on the phone with support and having to wait an extra 2 hours beyond the MAX estimated time is insane. I will never use Grubhub again. Will have to try Uber or Eat24 or Postmates or a Turtle or anything else.
Placed an order in the afternoon for a dinner delivery from KFC. Ten minutes before it was expected we got an email stating that the order was cancled and to expect our refund in a few days!
Beware of trying to use gift card... Credited my credit card rather than gift card still can't use the gift card. Absolutely terrible customer service
This company is a joke. Not only are the representatives utterly unprofessional, the so-called "boss," Greg actually laughs at and antagonizes people who are understandably frustrated with having their money stolen. THIS COMPANY IS FRAUDULENT AND DANGEROUS.
SO I ORDERD $80 WORTH OF FOOD FROM ON THE BORDER AND GAVE THE KID A $15 TIP. I GET THE FOOD AND HALF THE ORDER IS MISSING, SO I CALL ON THE BORDER AND THE MANAGER IS REMAKING THE WHOLE ORDER AGAIN WITH OUT A PROBLEM BUT HUB GRUB WILL NOT GO PICK UP THE ORDER. THEY SAY OH WE WILL REFUND THE MONEY, I DONT WANT THE MONEY I WANT MY FOOD, WELL TO BAD YOU HAVE TO GO GET IT YOURSELF. I ASK HUB GRUB DO THE DRIVERS CHECK THE ORDER? OH NO THEY CANNOT OPEN THE BAG, WELL WHAT THE HELL GOOD IS THAT, HOW DO YOU KNOW IF THE WHOLE ORDER IS THERE? WHAT GOOD IS THIS SERVICE? NOT WORTH THE TIME OR EFFORT SO NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE THEM. THEY NEED TO HAVE A HALF OF A STAR.
