“Customer help would not admit or acknowledge mistake”

Order was delivered 1 hour early. The order was for 2 people and $144. Customer help would not acknowledge and when I sent them the receipt that was proof of delivery time they said it was not attached on e mail properly whatever that means. Avoid GRUBHUB if possible.

I will never use grubhub again. Got the email refund information saying that my refund will be back in my account 5 business days. So 2 weeks go by and nothing so I call just for someone to tell me they are having technical difficulties refunding my money and just hung up on me. I recommend noone use this app. Doordash is much better imo. I've only used grubhub 4 times and 2 out of the 4 times my ordered got cancelled and never refunded. I suggest they hire better drivers because both my drivers drove off with my order and that's why they had to cancel my order. SMH

I tried ordering from grub hub and it sent my food to the wrong address. Thrice. This is unacceptable and it feels like they are playing with my money. Their delivery system is flawed an should still be in beta. If you are a customer and feel wronged by them, please join me in boycotting them.

Tip for consumers:
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SITE. YOU ARE BETTER OFF CALLING THE RESTAURANT THEMSELVES.

I put in 6 different promo codes and not a single one would work so i called customer service and the girl tells me, well they've reached their limit. Ok so everyone else got their deal but because I'm last i line, they refuse to honor their so called promo.
What a joke. I asked the lady if there was anything at all they would do to help me and she said no not at this time. What kind of customer service is that? I want to unsubscribe now! You will never ever ever get my service and i promise to tell every single person i know or see on the street not to bother with grub hub! I wish i could swear because i seriously have some choice words

I received a door promotion coupon $15 off which has expiration date of 1/20/2016. Coupon simply did not work when I try to order online. So I just called the customer service *******085 and talked to the Lady who put me on brief hold and after few minutes she said that manager is aware of this issue and they have so many calls that people's coupon are not working. They simply ran out the promotion although coupon is valid. Dah! Why would I ever even order from here? I wish they have 0 Star. Lol!

I just ordered a pizza. The driver was reading the apparent pizza store location, my address was right under that. I spoke with him on the phone directing him, he took my pizza to someone else and put it on the mat at their front door. Now I'm out $33
And someone I don't even know gets to w
Eat my pizza already paid for. Ridiculous!
Never again will I use ANY food drivers in Grubhub or door dash! My first and ONLY experience with them! Grubhub needs a live answering service and someone who speaks English who can communicate with the customer before delivery!

Delivery driver claimed to have attempted to make a delivery, he said the business looked closed. We are located in a building with several other businesses with a big sign that says our hours and to knock. Come to find out, the driver's for Grub Hub get to keep the food if it's not delivered! So why would they put forth effort to locate your business?

After this I called to get a refund, they told me they would email me with the coupon codes. Never received email. Called again to just refund my card and say forget it, they then said only credits can be issues since we missed the delivery... this delivery service ( I use that term loosely) is a joke! If we're going to be screwed over, we at least want to feel it! We'll stick with Bite Squad from now on.

Food was never delivered. The "tracking" showed the driver was around the corner, so I went out to meet him. No one showed up; no one called. I tried contacting the driver through the link and got the old "there was an error in processing your request" b. S. Tried texting/calling him, and no answer. Online chat useless. Called GrubHub directly and after 40 minutes of haggling, they finally issued a full refund (they originally tried to give me a 50% discount off my next order). Future reference: if a customer service rep tries to shut you down with " I can't do anything else but offer a discount", then talk to someone above him, you're more likely to get a refund then. GrubHub has disappointed me more often than not; NEVER AGAIN!

When GrubHub online offer didn't go thru, Simmarons gave us the number to call and complain. When site automatically placed pick up order instead of Delivery, Simmarons fixed it immediately. When we called to say we didn't get our food via Delivery, they told us why and delivered to us VERY quickly. Nice phone manners. Great wings! Cheese steak pretty good. Will order again but not thru Grub Hub ever again. This restaurant should separate from Grub hub marketing.

Tip for consumers:
Do Not order vi a GrubHub.

Total POS operation... kept in limbo for 20 min only to have the rep hang up on me after I questioned why the site popped up a msg saying check to see if they deliver to your area AFTER you hit submit order... NO food... No refund... bent over a chair like I was on a date with Kobe Bryant... have a soothing ointment on standby for you anal passage because it will be violated by this crap site...

I had ordered something at one restaurant, then was called saying that they no longer served a certain item, so they cancelled my order and asked me to change my order up a bit. I did so, but GrubHub "cancelled" that order. I got a coupon for $5 from both cancellations, but no reimbursement. (Keep in mind it hasn't been 3-5 business days just yet) I buy from another restaurant and an hour later hear knocking at the door. The other place brought me the food I ordered from my second attempt, and I had to tell them that GrubHub cancelled my order. They were not made aware of this. I call technical support, she says their system is messed up and needs to call me back. She calls me back saying to expect an email confirming my reimbursement. It has been almost two hours and I've received no such email.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered a couple meals thru Grubhub and the delivery time kept getting pushed out. Called the restaurant (which I won't name because it wasn't their failure) and they said that my order had been sitting for over an hour waiting for pickup. After contacting customer service to cancel they wanted to send me a ten dollar perk towards my next purchase if I continue to wait. I don't know what part of sitting and waiting he didn't understand. I wanted a fresh meal. Told him to keep his perk and cancel my order because it has sat too long. He then said I will receive a perk in my email, nah, I won't be using that because I expect food that is close to fresh, not under a warmer for over an hour. Lesson learned..

Tip for consumers:
Grubhub expected a perk to make food that sat for more than an hour acceptable. Do better Grubhub.

Ordered only three items from Taco Bell not even 10 minutes have gone this delivery driver lies over the phone saying restaurant is closed. Which is an horrendous lie because it's only 8pm then 3 minutes later I get a call from grubhub support sticking with this same lie both driver and support didn't know I was in that area watching this driver lie his $#*! off. Terrible service disgusted with grubhub find better drivers and support staff!

This was the scariest experience I have had in my life! We called GrubHub before and gave them our information but then decided not to order. Well I guess we forgot about that... We called again tonight and we started to tell them our name and before we gave them the first 3 letters they knew our name, number, and address. Well the person on the phone decided he wanted to play a joke on us so he said "I know that because i am standing outside your house right now". Well that scared me because the only people who are home are under 13 years old. He also asked for the security number on my credit card which I don't think is supposed to happen. Also it took 1 hour and 30 minutes to deliver my food

$30.00 Order total. $15.00 and change to Grub Hub ON TOP of the inflated menu prices. And you can only increase a predetermined driver tip? Are you Effing kidding me?!? Should be illegal. Never never never, I'd rather starve. Drivers are not the issue, I actually know a couple from the community - nice guys, good service. The problem is Grub Hub itself, price gouging during a pandemic. Shameful.

Tip for consumers:
Grub Hub menus are higher than the restaurant price, they add a delivery fee in addition to that, and they pre-add a driver "tip" that you can only increase. You can't possibly be this hungry.

Products used:
Have used a few times, twice I think, but refuse to use anymore.

Grubhub has really terrible service, I honestly don't know why I continue to use them. I guess it's because it's the most popular service in Denver, but coming from SF where Caviar was on point, it's a major downgrade. Every time I order, my food is late/delayed because of driver issues or lack of drivers and it arrives cold and soggy. If you can't get enough drivers, then don't run your business here. Customer service is the worst, it's some third party and they give you excuses and the best I could get was 10% off my next order. That's not good enough. Honestly, I waited 3 hours for my lunch one day and many many times my order has arrived incorrect or delayed. The customer service is such a pain I don't even bother to complain anymore. I will definitely not be using Grubhub anymore as this is my final straw.

Terrible! I live in the Atlanta Area and have had nothing but problems every time I have attempted to use this service. My food has been consistently late. I will NEVER use this service again.

Their solution is always to give Grub Bucks but that does not solve the systemic problem. I am done. I have tried to give them a fair shot at getting it right by trying a few times but there is just no redemption this time.

I will stick with Mobile Waiters. They may be more expensive for delivery but I have had very few issues.

Bye Bye Grub Hub.

I decided to try out ordering from GrubHub to see what it was like. I ordered 3 items from a nearby BBQ restaurant. The driver came about an hour later, handed me a small bag then turned around and quickly left. When i checked my bag I only had one of the 3 items that cost $8 when I paid $32. I immediately contacted their support who eventually sent me a coupon for $15 off my next order. So i paid $17 for $8 of food and that was somehow acceptable to them. This website is a SCAM do not use them.

Ordered dinner for four after long day. Not complicated. Four dishes. Delivery guy shows up with two plates. Contact GrubHub via chat since they can't be bothered to speak to you on phone. Offered $#*! 10% off next order. Then offered to refund half the order. So four of us shared two plates of food and made grilled cheese for dinner. NEVER using GrubHub again. Awful customer service. Caviar is so much better. So is BiteSquad.

After cold food and an incomplete order and after waiting 30, minutes to speak with a "human" we were told we would not get a full refund. This company and customer service is just terrible. I will be surprised if they remain in business.

Although the driver/delivery people are GREAT, this is such an OVERPRICEd way to get food. I am disabled. Can't drive. Stuck in the house. Husband works Noon-11 pm at night. If he hasn't stocked the house well with food, I am dependent upon delivery. Add-on fees, extra fees for small orders. $30 for a burger & salad? No way.

Waited an hour despite being quoted 35-45 minutes. Called. Was told I would be compensated and order would arrive within half an hour. It never did. Got a text 15 mins later to inform me my order was cancelled. Restaurants now closed. They're awful.

I am a generous tipper. I always make sure to tip at least 20-25% on any given order, but GrubHub has done NOTHING to address the issue where drivers mark orders as delivered but keep the order for themselves. Drivers never respond to text messages and calls and when I order a replacement, the amount of tip that goes to the NEW driver delivering the order is not the same as the previous one. GrubHub keeps the extra money you tipped for themselves and only gives the drivers $4. They should require all drivers to take a photo of the order before it is marked as delivered. My orders have been stolen multiple times.

I placed an order for my sick niece. I asked that the driver call due to gated building, driver never called but delivery status was that food was delivered. After contacting grub hub about not receiving the delivery. The person at grub hub was very nonchalant about the situation and after throughly questioning my niece. They just said you will get a refund In five days but you can reorder your food. So that would be another 19$ out of my pocket with no guarantee that I would get the delivery. They should have sent a replacement delivery without me spending $40 for a bacon cheeseburger meal and onion rings. Need better customer service. Maybe she lives in the wrong neighborhood to get good service from grub hub (west side of Chicago). Very disappointed.

They have come a long way from the way they used to operate, which was unreliable. They now operate as garbage. Cold food, even when advertised as close enough to deliver hot. Rude delivery drivers. Over priced, and you still need to tip. If you don't tip 20%, then expect your food in three hours instead of two. Oh yeah, and if the store is closed, they will charge you and say the restaurant got your order and it never comes. I have given this restaurant more than a few tries. You get no more chances from me.

Tip for consumers:
I'm all about convenience and I'm willing to pay extra, but there is nothing convenient about paying too much and waiting forever. I could have walked there faster than they delivered it, seriously. Don't say I didn't tell you so.....oh and if you order soda, they conveniently forget it 3 out of 5 times.

Customer service sucks, and the drivers don't care at all about your food (and in some cases, incomplete dinners were because the driver helped himself to some of it). It is always unreasonably late, usually spilled or otherwise turned upside-down (one idiot driver actually took out a box from the bag that he had put in upside down, turned it right side up and handed it to me like it was no big deal). I called grubhub and all they do is give you $5 off your next order. I've gotten this same nonsense enough that I won't be spending that $5 credit through grubhub - it was a great idea, but their service and their drivers absolutely suck. I always tipped very well (and paid up front when I paid for the food - not when it arrived, or I'd have ended up just handing out pennies and advice), and no matter what, the drivers just got worse and worse.
