Order was delivered 1 hour early. The order was for 2 people and $144. Customer help would not acknowledge and when I sent them the receipt that was proof of delivery time they said it was not attached on e mail properly whatever that means. Avoid GRUBHUB if possible.
I ordered pizza. Promised within 45 min. 90 min later says order is delivered but not to my address. Unable to get ahold of driver. Took 30 min to get a rep and didn't care about the 2 hour wait or that there was no way to get ahold of driver or a live person. Offered nothing for this other than refund and didn't care about any of these issues even after talking to a supervisor. Worst company ever.
Will delete app and never use again
They are still advertising for a restaurant that has stopped doing business with them. I put an order in for the restaurant. Thank goodness I call them to get my extra stuff to be charged. The restaurant told me they were not working with GrubHub anymore. So could you imagine if I had just waited for the forty -five minutes before I called. It would of been a whole hour and a half maybe two before I would of spoken to anyone. So now I have to wait three to five business days before I can get my money back and nothing to eat either.
The drivers seem to play a little game where they will accept as many pick-up/deliveries as possible and then delay delivering them because they have too many orders to deliver, The restaurant finished up my order, but $#*! driver postponed picking it up: adding 20 minute windows multiple times. If they were honest up front about an 1:30 minute delivery window, I would have ordered it as pickup and just go and get it myself.
I'm only reviewing because of all the negative reviews! I can't believe it! This is absolutely the only way I order food anymore and have been doing so for about 2 years. I've never had a problem though once or twice I had an issue with an actual restaurant itself. Grubhub is just a mediator. If there's a problem it's more than likely the restaurant, not grubhub. Have a problem? Call grubhub anyway! Their customer service is beyond outstanding. They'll comp you for the restaurant'a mistake and you don't even have to ask.
Its surprising seeing some of these reviews because I had a great experience! They gave me an estimate of how long it would take and kept me updated and the driver followed instructions precisely. I mean he literally brought it to my door, other places made me walk out to the road to go get it. Super impressed and will be using grubhub again!
Contrary to the frightening reviews my food arrived within the hour. Soggy but in one piece! Can't blame them for this as we did order burgers so... man I was petrified after reading the reviews do t think I will order here again because of them. But he first time we got our food fairly quickly thank God.
There's a good chance your order won't show-up or will show-up very late. I don't know if the technology connecting us to the restaurant sucks or most restaurants that accept GrubHub services suck. Either way, don't risk ordering food when you're hungry from Grubhub.
One small positive - Grubhub customer support is decent and will refund your money pretty painlessly if your order doesn't show...
Awful. Waited a whole hour for our food. We gave grubhub specific orders to get to our apartment complex and they still delivered it to the wrong address. Their solution? Cancel our order, they didn't reach out to the driver and told us that our refund would take 5 days. Then disconnected us from their customer service. We hope that our next order from somewhere else comes through after another hour of waiting or we will never bother with this company again.

Order from a local sub shop, tracking showed that the driver was about five minutes away from the restaurant. Long story short, more and more time was added to the delivery as I tracked the driver only, going in the opposite direction of the pickup place. Called GrubHub, the lady suggested I wait, I believed the order would never be delivered, she suggested I call the driver... totally unacceptable. No offer of coupon or discount just, "you'll see a refund in up to five days." I'll never order from Grubhub again. They just don't care, won't even pretend to provide anything that resembles customer service.
Ordered a pizza and wings from Papa Johns, with a delivery of 4:30 p.m. (This was around 3:15 p.m.) At 3:45 everything showed up - when I complained they blew me off but blamed GrubHub for failing to tell them about the delayed delivery. No ordering from Papa John's or GrubHub again.
They had promos advertising that if you refer a friend you will get $10 or $12 dollar credit. I referred a friend 4 months ago and never received credit. I let this go thinking maybe she mistakenly did something wrong and didn't link through. Today my brother used my referral code, and again nothing. I contacted customer support and they told me because they're "refreshing" their system they're not accepting codes. Then why is it advertised and why do I get a link to share my referral code? And why did it go through on my friend and brothers end? This is false advertisement and going through these reviews, sure enough I'm not the only one this has happened to! It's been ongoing for a while and seems like they don't care. Customer service agent was useless and didn't help. If This company keeps upcoming their shady false advertisement they're going to get sued. I will be deleting the app and definitively not referring ANYONE.
I use GH 3 to 4 times a week and 90% of the time I am satisfied. Today, I ordered and received the call from the delivery driver who could not speak a word of english. I would think that this would be a requirement since it is our universal language. The only words he seemed to know is "Grub hub". I work at a dealership that is off the beaten path and sometimes a navigation system will take a person in a different direction. As a result, They wind up behind our building. I specify in the notes as to which street we are located. How can someone who cannot speak the language read these important instructions? On top of it all, He was extremely rude & nasty and expected me to go to his car to get my order... I thought he might have realized he os in the DELIVERY BUSINESS! Grub Hub seems to have removed the option to complain... They must get a lot of them.
Driver never showed up with 72.00 worth of food. They play games on the phone so don't even think calling customer service. I was told no refund, but luckily, my bank is reversing charges. Wish I read the reviews before I downloaded the app that I deleted. Don't believe the hype.
Should be - 1 star. Terrible service with atrocious support. This "service" will allow drivers to say they delivered your order when not even in your area. 3 different times over the coarse of months resulted in the same issue. It was a large order that took longer than it should have. I watched the driver go the opposite direction AFTER receiving my order and stop somewhere for a brief time. Headed back in my direction but NEVER came anywhere near my street. Claimed delivery was completed but I was standing outside watching. Chatting with support did not help. They did not apologize for the blatant theft, would not re-deliver the food and said it would take a few days for my refund. They tried to give me a coupon for future use as if I will order from them EVER again. They wouldn't listen when I told them the driver had my food and did NOT even attempt to drive near my location.

I ordered from Grady's House of Chicken in Dallas. Tracked my order. Text said delivered. I called and the number didn't work. Beware. Call the restaurant to be sure it exists. I never received my food. Grub hub needs to provide actual businesses.
I have had multiple drivers set down my food, take a picture, then pick up the food and leave. Under CCTV cameras. Each time I've confronted Grubhub support with the evidence, they've refused to give refunds due to "evidence the food was delivered". So I lose my money and have nothing to eat. We customers need to band together and file a class action lawsuit from the amount of theft Grubhub allows.
My orders are always late missing items, causing me to place orders again and pay more and then have to wait up to five days for my money back from the item I never received. Customer service says there's nothing they can do horrible, horrible company.
GrubHub and its competitors are way too expensive and frankly not worth it. I go with beyond menu they charge $1 delivery fee and then I tip the driver the only problem is they don't have a whole lot of restaurants just yet.
Spent 15 min trying to get a new order right. Re-entered info several times. No luck. Called the restaurant and ordered by phone. Forget Grubhub! Just call if your are picking up. If not, call and see if the restraint can arrange delivery.
I for the first time use grub hub today. My food was 22.20 go check my bank account they charge me $44.20 how does a order go from $22.20 to $44.20 I am calling my bank to cancel the enter payment. They add on all kind of fees. My tip was 20% which is about 4% no they tip over $6.00 then the delivery was free they still charge me.
I ordered food at 740 pm and was supposed to receive it at 835 845 then I got a notification that I would receive my 130 dollar order an hour later after tracking the driver delivering another order. Stay away if you want hot food, hell even warm food. Called and delt with an arse hole that would not patch me thru to a supervisor till I hung up on them after requesting at least 20 times...
At our favorite sushi place, one single sushi roll through grubhub was $5 more than the in store price of $7.50. Chicken Teriyaki in store is $14.95, through Grubhub it's $23.95. What a RIP! Then you have a delivery fee of almost $4 which is fine, but considering what they do mentioned above, it's bull$#*! to then add a random fee of $3.50, as well as the drivers tip. So, for example, an order that is $9.95 (cheaper than this in store), ends up being $21.55!
I was disappointed after seeing a commercial and being so excited to get on this site. Turns out, there were literally 3 restaurants to choose from. All of which were little hole in the wall places I had no desire to eat from.
The idea of grub hub is great but grub hub has terrible wait times and their customer service is not accommodating at all. In South Carolina we had a third party delivery service named 256-Togo and they were the same concept but much more organized and professional. Waiting two hours for food in tampa is ridiculous and grub hub barely offered a slack apology after I informed them I no longer wanted good I had to wait two hours for and would like a refund. She was quick to easily grant my refund request if the food could not arrive in the next few minutes but my husband was already late for work without food. Thanks for the waste of time lady!
I really want to encourage them to rectify these issues with their local restaurants and especially their customer service representatives for any/all future business.

It's not worth it! I Encourage you to do a call in and pick up the food yourself if you want to cut your time in half and receive your order correctly. It's also less costly.
Delivery was originally delayed 30 minutes, then it never showed at all. Received a refund. Kindly asked for a small credit and was denied. Just a refund is not acceptable. GrubHub must not understand the basic concept of Customer Lifetime Value. Will never use their service again.
