Order was delivered 1 hour early. The order was for 2 people and $144. Customer help would not acknowledge and when I sent them the receipt that was proof of delivery time they said it was not attached on e mail properly whatever that means. Avoid GRUBHUB if possible.
I understand that if you order food online there will be a wait time. However, I expect the "confirmed delivery time" to be relatively close. Eat24 will tell you a delivery time of 35 minutes and you're lucky to receive your order in 1.5 HOURS. Plus, they are owned by Yelp, so they don't get any bad reviews (shocker!).
First and foremost depending on what market you're in. You won't make enough money to make repairs on your vehicle. Or afford the health insurance they offer. Like the title says. Low pay for long drives. So the person you are supposed to pick up food for might not even live in the same city as the restaurant your picking up their food at. AGAIN, Low pay for long drives in rush hour traffic especially, unreliable technology. I was kicked out of my block claiming that I was not able to be reached by their server and they would even try and reinstate my block. They just said it was my service which it wasn't. You'd best have another source of income because you get to have a reliable amount of blocks(hours) to work. Just an all around terrible company to work for.
I would give them a zero if I could. GH was given as a gift, so I thought I would try it. Big mistake, up charge on some items by $5.00 even after using pick up. I understand lack of drivers, but don't offer delivery then wait until 15 minutes prior to delivery to notify customers!
Apparently Grub Hub doesn't understand that they should not get paid for delivering only half of your order. This was the second time that I had to call customer service about part of order being missing. They said no adjustment to charges because the restaurant later delivered what the driver left behind. Will not be using Grub Hub again.
I ordered a single cheeseburger from Wendy's at 11:41 a.m. It's 1:22 p.m. (almost 2 hours after I placed the order) and the driver hasn't even arrived at Wendy's to pick it up. I also paid close to $20 for what would have been an $8 order had I gone through the drive through. I'm done using this service
First I never received my order after it being 2 1/2 hours late from the time they said it should have been delivered. Then when I messaged the driver to find out where it was they told me they had already delivered it to another address and to contact customer support. Being on quarantine and it now being 9pm, we have no food for dinner and all places are closed. First order and they already failed. Would suggest they actually take a look at their drivers and their rapport because they obviously have had this complaint before.
We waited over an hour for our food only to find that GrubHub never assigned a driver and then they said the restaurant closed before delivery time was reached. Not only did GrubHub drop the ball but they didn't have support enough to fix the problem. First time using and I will never use it again!
We have ordered numerous times. Twice they cancelled our order but didn't tell us. When my wife confronted them on their FB page (because they did not have contact info on the app) they cancelled her account. Tonight we gave one final chance. At least this time we got a text telling us our order had been cancelled and to refer to the email. The email gave zero information. No wonder Door Dash is kicking their a$$.
Was provided a gift card and it was immediately compromised. Grubhub said it was associated with another account. Emailed and called for weeks and no action taken. They don't care at all about customers complaints so don't bother with the service. Ed Toner
Contact the restaurant directly. The menu prices are outrageously marked up. Over 25%! Our restaurant charged us 50.40. Grub hub charges 74$! That's for us to pick it up ourselves! I clicked on the menu on Yelp and had no idea it was ordering under Grubhub.
If you have options pick Postmates, the confusing driver care support is the most confusing policy ever, they toss you around to different departments via email to fix simple problems. If you would like to make money I implore you these people will leave you nearly Broke on Thanksgiving, and honestly it feels like they are doing it for entertainment. This is not the way a business should be run, if you plan on working here good luck. I'm trying to make enough money to leave this crap-Fest of a job.
I ordered through yelp eat 24 today for the first time. My food was to be delivered within 45-60 minutes. Their site said it would be delivered by a restaurant driver, or if none was available, it would be delivered by one of their drivers. After a 45 minute wait, I got a call from eat 24 telling me there were no drivers available so I could pick up my food or cancel my order. Wow! Nothing like making a person wait to call and say just kidding, we're not actually going to provide the service to you we advertise... I would never recommend this company to anyone! Ya live and learn I guess.
To start off, the person who answered the phone for Grub Hub did not understand my request and asked me to repeat myself several times. After taking 15 min to place my order, they took nearly 2 hours to deliver my food. When placing my order I was asked "cash or credit?" I replied that I would be using cash. When the delivery driver arrived he informed me that he had no Change which forced me to give him a $12.00 tip. When I say I am paying in cash, I expect that the driver should be prepared with change. My overall experience was awful. I will never use grub hub again.
We ordered $183 worth of food and because the restaurant was out of the product our order was cancelled -no communication from grubhub. After calling them I found out why and called the restaurant to find a replacement choice. When I attempted to reorder found my account had been blocked for 24 hours. Called customer service, again, and they said it was company policy. Even talked to a "supervisor" who said it would have to go through financial and would take 24 hours until I could reorder. I ordered through Door Dash which was easy, smooth and hassle-free. It's been three days and grub hub still has not credited my $183. Worst experience ever and terrible company policies. Save the aggravation if you are going to use their service And call the restaurant first. I will NEVER use them again.
It took 3 hours to get a simple chicken sandwich and a salad from restaurant that is 10 minutes away from my house. After waiting for two hours for my food, I tried to cancel the order, but grubhub does not allow you to do so because " restaurant started preparing your order". I spoke with customer service, they assured me that I'll have my order in the next 10 min and 10% discount for the next order, when in real life it took another hour. I don't want to use your service again. 10% is nothing for 3 hours wait for food, that came soggy and cold, which makes me think, that food was prepared a long time ago. It was just sitting somewhere waiting to be delivered.
Had to use coupon "best app ever" to save $5.00 - Sadly... WORST app ever. All messages were from "20-somethings" - acting like they were "entitled" - all slang, learn the English language... what a childish app - with childish support staff who are still in high school. Not one enrolled in AP
Don't know how the service is throughout the country but in the metro Atlanta area, Grubhub is the absolute worse delivery company I have ever used. I have tried them twice now. The first time I never received my food. The second time, its been a little over 2 hours for a 30-45 minute delivery and now they are going to cancel because there is not a driver available... do not waste your time or money trying to get grubhub to deliver anything to you!
10 minutes from restaurant took over 30 minute from time of pick up. Driver went to locations 25 minutes from us before we got our order. Now for some unexplained reason tonight's order just cancelled about the time it was to be delivered. Never again removing the app worthless.
Twice this week we have ordered from eat 24 with two different restaurants. We never got our food on either occasion. Twice they said the driver took the wrong order. On pressing them further for the second time, they told us the restaurant did not get our order and they were super busy. In this area nearly everything closes between nine and none thirty. So for the second time this week we are limited to what we can order. To add insult to injury, our refunds are returned between 3 to 5 days. They are currently holding a good proportion of our money. I am extremely angry that the second night this week has been disrupted along with our plans.
I ordered food for my husband who was on a job. We tracked and waited about an hour then my husband called almost 2 hours later. I thought he was going to say how much he enjoyed the food. Instead he told me he is still waiting. I checked the tracking and they said "delivered". I contacted them and they had no idea where the food was even though the tracking said delivered. My money was refunded but my husband was still hungry. Not cool. I gave a 2 star just based on the quick response in the chat.
This service is the worst. Ordered food and milkshakes ask for delivery to be handed to me. Instead order was left out in sun. Driver did not answer calls and was unable to track. Still awaiting refund.
By FAR longest wait ever. Really two plus hours for a place to get food from that's 5 miles away? Use use services like this so we don't have to get out of the house... not wait that long like I'm at an amusement park? Oh and when we ordered it said an hour and fifteen minutes and then closer to that time it added another 30 minutes to it to make the wait over 2 hours. WORST app to use. Y'all need to figure it out fast or you will go out of business.
I got charged $90 for 3 Chili Dogs and a Large Dr Pepper! Driver refused to walk up to the 3rd floor. Told me I had to come down and pick it up or I could kiss there $#*!. They delivered the order 2 times. Customer assistance did nothing!
I was five minutes late for my order, so the guy drove away even though his text specified that I had an eight minute window before he would leave. I asked if the guy could bring the food after his next delivery. Grubhub refused and would not refund my money. I mean, for being 5 minutes late?!? I didn't even ask for a refund. I just wanted him to bring back my food. This company doesn't care about customers, and I hope it goes out of business.
I work in a restaurant where someone from the GrubHub company phones in an order. Their drivers are always over an hour late to pick up the food and sometimes they do not even show up. Tried calling the company phone to ask about where their driver is and no one answers. Very unreliable and try to promote themselves in any way they can. If you are trying to call for delivery from a restaurant, I would suggest you call that restaurant directly. It will be faster and you are guaranteed to actually receive your order.
