Grubhub is my go-to food delivery service, offering a wide variety of cuisines from local restaurants. Whether I'm ordering lunch for the office or dinner for the family, Grubhub makes it easy to satisfy everyone's cravings. I appreciate the user-friendly app interface, as well as the real-time tracking of my order and estimated delivery time. Grubhub has become an essential part of my busy lifestyle
Order was delivered 1 hour early. The order was for 2 people and $144. Customer help would not acknowledge and when I sent them the receipt that was proof of delivery time they said it was not attached on e mail properly whatever that means. Avoid GRUBHUB if possible.
This has happened to me twice in a row. I ordered food before the restaurant closed the driver took too long to pick it up so the store closed and instead of anyone contacting me I sat there for over an hour wondering where my food was. I had to call Grubhub for them to even say anything about it and the best I got was a 'my bad' absolutely never ordering from Grubhub again I rather spend more money and order from somewhere else
I purchased a Grub Hub digital gift card for a friend in another state who had recently had surgery. When they tried to use the gift card, it would not allow the card to be used. After each of us calling (being told by the "customer service" reps that they had to talk to the other) and spending hours on the phone, being re-routed innumerable times and given the run around, we were told the card had been fraudulently used AND Grub Hub would not issue a refund. This business is a SCAM and I warn anyone that uses them that their money, time and sanity is at risk! At best, the customer service is a JOKE as it is just people answering the phone, reading from a script and routing people endlessly till they give up. Hopefully my lost $100 will not be for nothing and this will warn people away from this company and eventually they'll have to go out of "business"…
Tip for consumers:
Never order gift cards from Grub Hub. Ever.
The last three times I've ordered from Grubhub nothing has gone right! Not my order, missing key ingredients that make up my order and a lost order. When the food was missing essential ingredients they only wanted to give me $1.60 back of my $25 order! I had to call the restaurant itself to get my full refund! I am utterly disgusted with this app and will never use it again and also tell everyone NOT to use it!
This is the second time the business I work for has ordered from GrubHub and both times we have waited over two hours (and that's a minimum). It is not worth even trying unless you are willing to wait all day for your food. I have been disappointed every time the food shows up hours late and cold or tossed around. It has now been officially a 3 HOUR wait. I will never make this mistake again. Not acceptable.
I feel sorry for the delivery drivers on Grub Hub. They routed one of my orders to the restaurant in the city adjacent mine (35 minutes away). The driver had to go 35 minutes out, then 35 minutes back just to get my fat $#*! the order. This should not even be possible on their website. Sure, I am responsible for not confirming the proper business location, but it has never happened to me on any other food delivery app. I will never use Grub Hub again.
GrubHub expects consumers to fork over $25+ for a cup of coffee and an egg sandwich delivered from less than 2 miles away! The total of the two items was a little over $9, then GH charges a $4.50 "fee", plus a fee for the order being "small", plus taxes and then delivery. On top of this, the order took 50 minutes to be delivered. So, if you like paying more than double the cost for ice cold food, GH is the way to go.
My email to grub hub: I have ordered from Grub Hub many times... and one too many times the food has been wrong.
Not because of the restaurant but because your lack of putting the menu items as they actually are on your site. There have been a few times where your website doesn't say that it has meat... but when it gets delivered, it includes meat. When you are a vegetarian, that is a big deal!
I call the restaurant directly and they send out a replacement... but with my last order they specifically told me that they have been trying to contact you to no avail. They said many items are incorrect on your site and frankly it doesn't seem that you care.
When people have dietary needs or restrictions you need to state exactly as the menu is as the restaurant has printed.
I highly suggest you fix this flaw before you get a lawsuit for something that happens way worse than just getting meat on a vegetarian meal. Or hire someone that knows how to proof read.
If I could give zero stars as a rating, I would! Waited over 2 hours to get food. Restaurant claimed it was due to traffic but looked at satellite views of traffic and no such thing at this time of night. I would not suggest ordering from grubhub!
Obviously, at this time, there is nothing left open. Have to work all night in starvation mode. Found out that the order was cancelled only after I called to check where is the food, but I got a 5$ discount for the next order as a compensation. YAY.
GrubHub consistently has deals of "free delivery" or get X off a delivery. However, they don't actually follow through. You input the code they email you, and they say you cannot redeem it. Or, their site will say "free delivery with an X purchase." When you read the find print, there are not restrictions. But, wen you go to check out, they are charging you for delivery and a service fee. So an order originally costing $12-$15, now costs $30! Not worth it.
Red Robin Order was missing milkshake, Burger was cold and soggy So they refunded me for the shake and burger after having to contact customer service twice. Now I still end up paying 14.00 for a side of broccoli and cold fries. I was warned about Grubhub but took a chance. Stupid me. What an aggravation on a Saturday afternoon.
Please note that I will not be using EAT24 or GRUBHUB again unless absolutely necessary. The resolve for refund and customer vs vendor response is poor.
The food was not edible (fish undone) and the company refused to refund full order. They claimed the fish was done and would only refund me for the rice meal I complained about. This isn't my first issue but will be my last where the old "customer is always right" motto just doesn't ring true with Grubhub. Fool me once...
I placed an order at 7. Then they kept delaying it, all the way up until a 9:10 P.M. arrival. Then around 8:30 I finally get a call from my driver saying the restaurant doesn't have my menu item, so we swap the items out. Then suddenly I see my order is cancelled out of nowhere? I chat with an agent to hear a load of bull saying they were unable to get in touch with the restaurant, when I had just heard the driver on the phone confirm with the restaurant that they had the other item. They then give me a measly $15 discount on my next purchase, when most meals ordered on there end up costing at least $30 after delivery fees and tips. I ask them to cover my entire next meal, and the agent says that 15 is all they can offer. Yeah, right. They can offer more, but they won't. Do not put yourself through the headache of dealing with them!
I have ordered twice from GrubHub. Each time has been over two hours for delivery. I suppose f you plan for that, ti's fine. In one instance, the restaurant was 1/2 miles away. I should have walked there. By the time the food arrived, I was ready for bed, so I put it in the refrigerator for the next day. Don't count on fast. Allow for at least two hours. The food will need to be re-warmed, but it may still taste okay.
I have never been so angry about an online order ever. This is an awful site and terrible service all together. I ordered my food and it only came to my door steps two hours later. Also there was food spilt and the food was cold. The order was completely messed up they put in all the wrong things. Cannot believe how awful this experience was. I truly wish i had read the reviews beforehand because then i would've spent my $52 elsewhere
We have ordered GrubHub numerous times. Their service sucks. Their drivers show up and when you ask him did they check the order they just got a look at you and say this is what they gave me. Even if you tip extra their driver still suck in their customer service is even worse would not suggest using these idiots
They over charge by an incredible amount I spent 60 dollars I went to same restaurant and only spent 23 in person they add charges to menu cost. They also don't deliver all items purchased They forget things all the time I highly recommend not using them totally not worth it

I just had my first delivery of food through Grubhub. I am an Amazon Prime member and was offered a 2 year free delivery service with Grubhub. This offer was too good not to accept it! Tonight, I decided to try it.
I was happy with the service. I received my food within the stated time frame. This in itself is remarkable because I live in a rural area about 15 minutes from Chico, CA. This service isn't cheap but getting food deliveries out here is darn near non-existent. The driver was nice and he obviously used GPS to find my residence. Good job.
I hope this service remains as good as it was tonight so that I can get food deliveries on a regular basis. A very welcomed service for me. Thank you.
Not sure why we come back to this app, most orders are super wrong, other apps have been way better. Orders are at least 80% right on other apps for goodness sake. But you will be lucky if you only have one thing missing with grubhub. Dont expect support to help with a refund if most of order is missing.
Two hours after placing my order, my food didn't arrive, so I called the restaurant and was informed that the food had been sitting, waiting on a grubhub driver; it would be a kind thought if grubhub would let customers know that they do not have drivers, I mean after all grubhub does ask for an email and phone number.
Recently I used Grubhub to order pizza and during checkout I noticed they added some extra fee to support BLM movement to my order. My first thoughts were it was some kind of joke or mistake. It wasn't. Grubhub told me their algorithm put extra fee of $5 on their non-black customers. I have no words to describe their service just some screenshots for you. Definitely I will not use them anymore and I hope you won't too. Another level of screwing up!
I ordered food, but had someone else's order delivered to me, I contacted GrubHub and was told I'd be issued a refund. This was Jan 24, and it's now Feb 23. There is no mechanism to contact online (because I'm told I have no active orders). I suppose I'll use the toll free number, and hopefully they'll clean this up. Still, I doubt I'll use GrubHub again. VERY disappointed.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t bother with GrubHub. I work in a restaurant that is “forced” to prepare these orders, and the delivery drivers are curt, rude, and never check their orders when leaving my restaurant. It’s a bad service, just flying on empty, with no clue about how to fill orders, or resolve problems. I’m not a huge fan of Door Dash either, but at least you can communicate when you hav3 issues. Grub Hub is keeping my money, and I’m a little more than pissed.

I ate the rice and chicken... but I didn’t get the other dishes I ordered.
When i ordered food, first the food came in 1.5 hours and after that there were some items missing. When i reached out to grub hub for refund they are saying they cannot provide because i didn't immediately report the issue. They expect to leave the food and report issue once you find any discrepancies. This is a very unprofessional organization. Will be staying away
A typical $43.00 order was $78 with tip(not complaining about the tip at all). I totally understand marking up the items to make money its a business, but almost double is nuts.not my 1st time but definitely my last time. Should be a standard % not mark up someone else's menus, then tack on a % your not creating anything, without the restaurant or your driver you would have nothing, delivery's existed before you grub hub. Restaurants should just mark it up a little on there own for delivery, I would definitely pay more for the convenience, the driver and restaurant would make more and be able to control the quality of there own food. Maybe just offer your own app.(restaurant) I did and it was pretty easy to do
They say, while you are waiting on hold for over ten minutes, that they have amazing customer service. Every time I call, they are experiencing "unusually high call volume." That should tell them, and you, something. First, how can you say that you have acceptable customer service, let along amazing, when every time I call it's over a ten minute wait?
Also, too many times when I call a restaurant is out of something. So the restaurant calls to tell me this, I have to talk to grubhub to make sure I am not going to be charged, on hold, hear all kinds of excuses and thank yous for my advice, etc, etc, but it happens too often and they either need a way to update menus for out of stock items, or tell the restaurants that if it keeps happening then grubhub will stop using them. It's like everybody associated with this place is in denial. It's all happy, happy, joy, joy, we have such great customer service... when they've irritated you, wasted your time, and left you frustrated and hungry.
