“Customer help would not admit or acknowledge mistake”

Order was delivered 1 hour early. The order was for 2 people and $144. Customer help would not acknowledge and when I sent them the receipt that was proof of delivery time they said it was not attached on e mail properly whatever that means. Avoid GRUBHUB if possible.

Ordered food today for lunch... after an hour of waiting, my order said delivered! Tried contacting driver with no response, called grubhub and was offered credit with them on next order... this is third and final try with this crap service... the last two orders both had issues with missing and wrong items... byebye grubhub, you SUCK

I've never had a issue with grubhub til now. I ordered 2 hours ago through the app and 2 hours later i get a notification saying delivered but it wasn't at my door, before this i tried contacting the driver he never replied back to me then seeing he never delivered it i was highly pissed off i called the customer service line and complained and was told i was lying that it shows he delivered it when he didn't my apartment complex has a gate that requires a gate code to get in i never put the code in the instructions because i wanna make sure the driver will show up when i never got a call or text like i normally do i was worried now after a high escalation with customer service i did get my refund and a small discount but that's doesn't prove the fact that that driver (David his name was) should be fired or something needs to be done because he stole my food this is bs and after this im not sure if we want to order through grubhub ever again!

For the third time I've had my order picked up and say it's on the way only to never show up. All they do is cancel it, thry don't contact the driver to see what happened, and they don't even offer a credit fir your next order. Also if you're really hungry and didn't have time to cool or stop somewhere you'll be very disappointed when your food just doesn't show up after you wait an hour. This last one I was tracking the driver from the restaurant to my house and he wasn't even close to me when I got a message it was delivered. I get no return text from the driver and all the char person did was take 10 minutes to cancel my order, again with no offer to credit me towards another order. The restaurant I ordered from which I really wanted is now closed as well. Stay away from Grubhub you'll be disappointed and it takes at least 5 days to get your money back. I still got a text after asking me if the driver went above and beyond so do I want to add to the tip.

Tip for consumers:
Like I said before I wouldn’t use Grubhub as you have a likely chance if not getting your order. When you do I’d say 50% of the time thry don’t relay order instructions to the restaurant.

Use any other service. I know so many people who feel scammed by this company. Any promotion this company does is just a ploy to get your money without them providing the basic service you would expect in a customer-respecting fashion. Avoid at all costs.

I have tried Grubhub several times each time thinking it was a fluke it will be better next time and it never is. I am done at this point. They take longer than anyone else, the orders are never right and they dont allow you to rate the drivers and the food which is probably the problem. If they had a feedback system that the used to improve they might be better. Door dash and Uber eats are great, efficient, orders are correct and you can provide feedback on the orders.

I order Grub Hub on a regular basis. I am at a job site and have no food or silverware. I pay full price plus a delivery fee and a tip. I note every time that I need a fork to eat the food. Twice now, there has been no fork or any other silverware included. If people are paying twice what they would to have food delivered, it would be good to be able to consume the food. In my case, I cannot leave my location so both times, have been left for hours without food or a way to consume what I paid double for. I contacted grub hub and was told I could have a 10% discount on my next order. Sound good? Problem is, near $50 in food was trashed and they are offering me maybe $3 for the inconvenience. Even when I pointed that out, the response that it was only the offer to say sorry. Needless to say, I won't be using grub hub any more. I realize the company is huge but that is ridiculous to show so little appreciation for your customers. Particularly when it is the only service you offer.

Worst customer service. Was suppose to be a 35 minute delivery. After 1.25 hours still wasn't here. Contacted customer support and received attitude. Then was told it would be another 20 minutes for it to arrive. Requested refund and told them they can keep the food. Will never order thru this place again.

Not only do they jack money from the businesses that they delivery for AND underpay their employees, the delivery service itself is a gamble on when or IF the food even shows up. I can't count the number of times my food has taken hours, literally, and my final straw was an order just completely not delivered and their "fix" was offering a 20% discount on my next order as if I would ever order through them again. I finally was able to get a refund but the whole experience was enough to finally cut all ties. It's no surprise they have a 1 star rating.

I only received part of my order, and Grub Hub says it's the restaurant, and Red Lobster says it's Grub Hub. I got a refund, but when only some of you get to eat, it sucks. I haven't ordered from Grub Hub since the last time this happened months ago in Chicago. I was hoping Tampa, FL may be a better experience, but no. It's really a shame there is no better option in Tampa. In Chicago I switched to Uber Eats because of the poor service given by Grub Hub. Not a good choice at all. It started out as a good idea, but the customer service is awful! And they can't seem to get it right -really? Just copy and paste! I give correct instructions, can no one there read?

Scammed! There's no other description for what happened to us last night. After waiting over an hour past the time we were to get our food, we attempted to contact grub hub. Never happened so we called the restaurant directly. They were no longer in business and the new business won't work with grubhub. We would have blown off the experience except grub hub took payment. They sent us a survey this morning asking for feedback. Oh, to be able to give them a big fat ZERO! Whatever you do, don't use this business!

I've ordered from Grubhub numerous times and they consistently forget a part of my order. Not only do they not bring everything but all they can do is refund you money. They won't even try to help and get the missing part of your order. It is very inconvenient and not a trustworthy food delivery source. If you want to deal with customer service all the time and never get the correct order then Grubhub is for you!

I was parked and grub hub/ lyft driver with Washington state license plate #BKZ8700 hit my car as well as the car behind him. He refused to exchange insurance information and left the scene of the accident.

I filed a complaint to grub hub and there manager lied and said there's nothing he can do without an order number. These are dishonest people and don't care about anything else but your money.

Over the many years I spent thousands of dollars with Grubhub, overwhelmingly happy but 3 times not. Today was one of them. Both times before they made it right. We are talking about 3 missed orders over years of using the app and over 300 orders. Good batting average but frankly, for the premium (delivery fee) it should be accurate every time, and when it's not. The fee should be waived. Well the rep who helped me (not) in the chat, didnt believe my business was valuable enough to this company and just flushed me (politely refusing to continue the conversation and come to a solution).

Goodbye Grubhub!

Pushed back arrival time over 1 hour and when we called customer service they simply told us it wasn't the drivers fault and that she could give us a $5 credit. She refused to call store to see how long the food was ready before the driver arrived. Just kept telling us that the driver wasn't at fault. 1 hour late on delivery sounds a lot like the driver is at fault for me. We live only 3 miles from the restaurant... terrible service. 1 of 10, won't use again.

Update: finally got our food, items missing! Yay!

First time ordering through grubhub. No person to contact. No chat option. My food was ready at the restaurant for 45 min. Grubhub driver never contacted me. Foor arrived 2 and half hours after i ordered. No apology. Never again.

On multiple occasions they have failed to deliver food paid for; claimed to have called (they don't look at their own info and used non-default phones). On at least one occasion I tracked the driver, who came to my building, sat in his car, then drove off and claimed he had delivered the food! When I complained, the customer service claimed they called and got no answer... I was holding my phone the entire time and no call was made. Customer service then stated a credit Wes emailed to mr. Not so much, never received it. They ripped me off. I did the same meal thru UBEREats for $9 less than grubhub!

Ordered my first and last meal with GrubHub today. Didn't get my food but I was charged and they refuse to refund me. Basically what everyone else is saying. Please take our advice and stick to UberEats or regular delivery.

I ordered through them a few weeks ago and the food was delivered to the wrong address. They tried to go pick it up and bring it to me AFTER it had already been delivered to someone else. I thought I'd give them one more try. Ordered through them, and the driver picked up my food and then went the wrong direction. When the time was one minute before the delivery time, I got a text message extending the time by 20 minutes. They wanted to bring me food that was picked up 45 minutes earlier. No, thank you. They add the tip for the driver, but the drivers aren't doing what is necessary to deliver your food. Lesson learned. I won't use them again.

On January 2,2018 I responded to GrubHub's ad that said a $7 discount will be credited to my first purhase.

I chose a Thai Restaurant and was horrified as the ordering process was plagued with various "re-sets" because the delivery price and/or the minimum purchase price kept changing.

At the end of the transaction, the two dishes I ordered amounted to $31.94! This included an $8 "fee" and a 4$ gratuity.

THe checkout process had absolutely no options to gain the $7 promotional credit that enticed me to order to begin with.

At the end of this horrible experience, GrubHub sent me another ad for my next discount.

What a joke.

Save yourself the frustration of cold food, overcharges, inability to order & endless hassle & just use a different service. GrubHub doesn't care about customer service & has the worst app of all time. Even their website doesn't work properly. I'd love to delete my account but they won't let you. All I can say is I will never, ever use them again.

After multiple attempts at trying to track my order and being told it was 10-15 minutes away the store I ordered from had closed and when I brought this up to the online support they told me I may not receive a full refund. Will never ever use this as a way to get delivery again. I'm not sure if it's a scam or not but I was up waiting for almost two hours when I could have spent my money elsewhere. Terrible costumer service as well.

I am vegetarian. I ordered a meal that had no meat. I received a meal that had meat in it. I did not want the food, tried to return my order, but Grub Hub charged me anyway. They refused to take it back even after I set it out on my porch (see photo). They had an incredibly rude customer service agent call me and yell at me over the phone refusing to take this charge off my credit card. This was after the incredibly rude driver refused to return the wrong order.

I will never order from this company again. They took money from me for food I did not order and cannot eat. Even worse, they have super-rude customer service agents that yell at you.

So far 30 percent of the time I never get what I ordered. They always apologize however i could simply call the place and order the stuff myself. It seems like whoever actually orders the stuff can't read or simply doesn't care. Every time I order through them I'm constantly disappointed. Them when they screw up they give me a grubhub credit instead of refunding my money. The credit has a shelf life which exspires and also requires you to deal with them again. Honestly your better off just going to get the food yourself, or bare minimum you should just order your own stuff to avoid the incompetent people.

Grubhub is not a reliable company to place food orders from. They will always accept your order, debit your credit card and then constantly send you text message that your order is being delayed. End result... order never arrives. I do NOT recommend using this service. I can understand issue one time but this is like 3rd time it has happened. Lesson learned.

I ordered food from a medical office for lunch. I gave the address PLUS the suite number. I am a nurse that is not always available on my personal phone b/c IM HELPING PEOPLE! Driver called because HE couldnt find his way. Finally contacted me (within time given) he blasted me that he couldnt find me and that I was wasting his time and that he waited for me to answer my phone... yelling and escalating in anger without me even saying anything, I continue to yell in the hallway using profanity. I called to file a complain and they said, "we will take care of it". I asked to have a follow up call and they said, "we dont do that". This person is dangerous and should not be working customer service! I will never use Grub Hub again!
