“Customer help would not admit or acknowledge mistake”

Order was delivered 1 hour early. The order was for 2 people and $144. Customer help would not acknowledge and when I sent them the receipt that was proof of delivery time they said it was not attached on e mail properly whatever that means. Avoid GRUBHUB if possible.

I absolutely hate this service. It was a very rainy day and all my son wanted for his birthday was having food delivered and a movie day with his mom and we waited over 2 hours for our food to be delivered.

It is horrible.

Placed order 3 hours in advance only to learn that the order was cancelled after they took my money. I was then told that I would have to wait 5 - 10 days for my 40.00 refund. I was not given a reason for the cancellation.

Ordered our food at 6:30pm. Delivery in 45 minutes was the estimate. Five minutes later, received notification that the order was delayed by 30 minutes. Then silent. 2 hours later, our driver showed 30 miles away and a delivery time of 11:00pm. Restaurant closed as 9:30pm, so we called to confirm. No order placed. Never received our order. 20 minutes on hold with customer service for an offer of a 10% discount on our next order. It took 20 minutes to get a full refund, which posted to my bank account a full 5 days later.

Well first off you shouldn't order from GrubHub if you want your dinner within an hour... anyway I ordered something for $35 from the Cheesecake Factory. I waited about 30 minutes and got a call from GrubHub. They said that the Cheesecake Factory was too busy and that they wouldn't accept my order. Technically, I should be mad at Cheesecake Factory which I was and still am. But the fact is GrubHub had already taken the money out of my bank account and told me it wouldn't be returned for another 3-5 days. But they did offer me a $5 coupon... GrubHub needs to make sure the order is confirmed and accepted before they take out any money if restaurants and establishments can simply tell them "no".

My order never got to my place, and then when they confirmed this. They refused to give me a full refund and instead gave me a crap coupon to save 50% off my next meal with them. Horrible service. Never ordering from them ever again.

I have had many bad experiences with them. Deliveries that were delivered to the wrong place and I never received; deliveries over an hour late with food being cold. I stopped using their service. After several months, I decided to try again. I ordered at 12:40 p.m. with delivery at 1:25 p.m. Time came and went and no food. I contacted them and then they changed the time to 2:05 p.m. At 2:15, I contacted them and was told "sorry for your trouble." While talking to them, I got a message that my order was changed to 2:45 delivery now. Then, I got a text that said my order was cancelled. I told them that was unacceptable and they ended chat with me abruptly. I waited 2 hours to find out I was not getting any food. Never again.

I ordered from GrubHub and received all the appropriate feedback until their website said my order was delivered. This was a lie. I never got my food. I called the restaurant and was told that they never received the order. I contacted GrubHub and learned that they don't deliver from that restaurant. No explanation why it's listed on their order site or why I got the delivery feedback and statement of delivery. GrubHub charged my credit card, so they will post a refund. I want Grubhub to offer a guarantee of delivery or double your money back instead of "Maybe you will get your food, maybe you won't. We don't care and will refund your money if we fail to do our job".

I won't be using this anytime soon. I got charged 8 dollars more as a holding fee, and although the money went back into my account, as a college student I can't afford to have my account over drafted. #thestruggleisreal

This is the worst delivery service and customer service is also lacking. Food charged but never delivered. Fool
Me once. They gave me a $10 coupon. Months later I try again. Well I am writing this review so you know the NYS didn't work out. Worst delivery service Ever!

CEO asked employees to resign over political beliefs.
That is a toxic environment to work under, and is clear abuse of power.
I'm boycotting GrubHub until CEO Matt Maloney steps down.
He is a bigot and has no place lording over people because of a difference of opinion.

Ordering from app for 1.5+ years. People on Sf (what a hoot!) stated they contacted restaurant and stated order on its way -2.5 hours lmao- $#*!es got snooty with me. They get paid either way lol! I looked up restaurant and hours were not correct. They are unprofessional, rude, and not willing to own up to their own faults. Had to apologize to delivery man(whom I kinow personally)- boo. You guys suck! Enjoy your $!

I put in a order on grubhub, the order was incomplete Taco Bell's error even when I called Taco Bell they said they had nothing to do with the no charge for delivery. Food was cold and extremely late I could have walked there and back and gotten warmer food. Over a half hour late. Charged 2x on delivery. Never again.

My apt (of a 2 story building) is accessible from the outside. They didn't bring my food to my door - even though I gave instructions to use the staircase on the left hand side of the building. They left my order at the front of the building. This means that I, a person in quarantine because of a positive COVID-19 test, HAD TO LEAVE MY APT and go get my food! This defeats the purpose of using Grubhub in the first place! There was also no communication that it had arrived until several min after the actual delivery. Food was cold. And they don't check with you to ask how your experience was... I'm sure because they know they're doing a $#*!ty job and don't want to hear it. This was my first experience with GH. And it will be my last. Grubhub... Do you know what exponential means?

I ordered my food at 7:00 and had to cancel my order at 9:10 because the driver had problems with his car? This is a restaurant literally 15 minutes away from my house. A restaurant I might add that had the food ready at 7:30. Screw Grubhub.

We have restaurants and have been in search of a delivery service and thought we would put them to the test. We ordered food from the Old Town Deli only to be called 45 minutes later to be told they could not fill the order because the restaurant was having kitchen issues. So we figured we would order from another restaurant and give them another try. We placed our order and the arrival time was given to us and 30 minutes after the time the food was suppose to arrive we contacted EAT 24 and they assured us the food would arrive in 25 minutes. 2 hours and 50 minutes later our food arrives lukewarm to cold. We would not trust them to deliver our restaurants food. They have slot of work to get their act together.'Do not waste your time! You will end up frustrated and very hungry!

This is the 2nd time this week that the driver stated they delivered my food and did not even attempt to reach me upon delivery! The drivers STEAL FOOD! Grubhub has horrible business practices by continuing to let drivers take customers food without any repercussions! I will not be using this service ever again and you all need to be out of of business!

I ordered from Waffle House and my order was totally wrong. I called waffle house and they stated that they refunded the money but I would have to contact grubhub. I have contacted grubhub several times in which every time they say that their refunding me my money and it has yet to appear in my bank account. The business days does not mean 2 months. They are thieves and are taking ppl money. They need to be shut down you don't need worry ppl hard working money.

They deserve no stars

I am mother of a very active toddler. I work long hours and dont have time to come home and cook. I decided to trust my gut and order from food to be delivered from Grubhub. I placed my order and waited two hours for my food. Come to find out the driver lied about delivering my food and I told the customer service team. I asked if they track their drivers they claim they do not they dont. I called the restaurant to see if anyone came but they never showed and my food sat there. I managed to scream my way to a refund. And the restaurant also said I had to pay in person for my food if I wanted it. So lesson learned Grubhub is the worst company around for food deliveries. I will never use their services again and I hope there corporate office gets this

I placed a order at 7pm got expected delivery of 8:20.8:00 approaches and I get another message expected delivery 9:40-950... mind you this place i I ordered from closed at 9, so I call GRUBHUB for them to tell me they had no drivers? A delivery service with no drivers? I also called the restaurant directly to replace my order and was told they dont have a contract with grubhub. WOW!

All I know is $37.19 was stolen out of my bank account. Grub Hub. The telephone number went to Mexico then I was transferred to Chicago? They say they will 'investigate'? They have all the info already! Nothing gets done. They took money out of my bank account. Theft and Fraud-Hub.

We waited 2 hours for our food, and the order said it was delivered. When we called customer service they said the driver never got the order, yet it was marked as delivered. Don't wast your time with this company.

I tried to use Grubhub for the first time today. Waited an hour after placing my order only to find that the delivery person was MIA and our food had just been sitting there for an hour. I tried the customer service line and couldn't get through to anyone. Simply not worth the trouble

I can't say anything about the food because I cancelled my order. The app told us that the food would take 1 hour and 40 minutes to be delivered. I hate canceling but there was no point in waiting so long. Fast forward an hour and a half later and I check my phone to see 3 missed phone calls. I call back and this angry guy starts yelling at me about me making him drive to me or something. Hold on. I even received confirmation that my cancellation went through. Then the guy yells at me for not checking my phone because I ordered delivery and after I explained to him that I cancelled the order for the 3rd time, he said "okay," then hung up. This is not my fault if there is a lack of communication. There was well over an hour to tell the driver to not deliver. Train your drivers and improve your communication skills please. I'm disgusted with the attitude I was given.

Here is another company I have given 7 months before I added a negative review. I have never ever called a company so much every day for 7 months just to change my email. It is an entire company of misfits running this company. If you love Tylenol, ibuprofen and headaches, doing GrubHub. We cut all ties. I could take talking to another misfit. You can cc all, call, call, call, call, call, call, call, call, call and more calls and they will never ever get it right. There must be a Candid Camera hidden there somewhere to see people's response to their incompetence. Good riddance. We use DoorDash and UberEats now, exclusively
