“Customer help would not admit or acknowledge mistake”

Order was delivered 1 hour early. The order was for 2 people and $144. Customer help would not acknowledge and when I sent them the receipt that was proof of delivery time they said it was not attached on e mail properly whatever that means. Avoid GRUBHUB if possible.

I've used this service many times without incident... until Saturday. 2.5 hours and a "technical glitch" resulted in no food... AFTER they supposedly called the restaurant. Ordered pizza for my kids at 5:15; was supposed to be there between 6 and 6:15. At 6:45 used their app to check on status. First chat person hung up on me. Second apologized for the delay and said the restaurant stated arrival in 10-15 minutes (total lie). Woudn't give a discount except for the service fee and tip (i. E, what goes to the restaurant). At 7:45 still no pizza. 2.5 hours in (mind you, by now I was out). Restaurant had no record of the order. 3rd rep was rude and couldn't give me an ETA if I were to reorder. After all that I had to contact them a 4th time to get a refund, Life is way to short to use this service again.

Called at 2pm, ordered a sandwhich, fries and shake from portillos. I'm typing this right now as I'm about to leave work at 4:30, still with no food. Every time I called they said they were 5 mins away, when I tracked the order online it just said it should have been there by now. I literally waited over 2 hours for food that never came and was already paid for. Called to get a refund and was put on hold for 20 minutes. I will absolutely never be using them every again, if I want it that bad I'll either go get it myself or order from the restaurant directly. Worst delivery experience to date that I've ever had

Its friday, I have an important business meeting scheduled at 5. I placed an order at 2:57pm to feed my employees prior to the meeting. The delivery was scheduled to be here between 3:40 and 3:51. At 4:01 I get a message that the order was cancelled. Not explanation as to why. Now all the money I had prepaid on my credit card is being held until next week when the bank releases the funds. I have less than and hour to feed 8 people and get them to a meeting. What a crock!

If you're okay with food orders arriving late, then go ahead and use this service. After delivering my ordered extremely late last year, I decided to give them a second chance. Guess what? It was even more late this time around. I placed an order for 12:00pm delivery and after I didnt receive a confirmation email, I followed up to assure everything was still on track for on-time delivery. I then received a text message that my order would be delivered between 12:55-1:05pm. I would avoid this service at all costs.
The food from Lazy Dog restaurant was really good. But having to make my guests wait almost an hour for food was a complete waste of time.
I will be taking my business elsewhere!

I wish I had read these before I ordered - they are disgusting. If you order from Grubhub - be sure you understand you may or may not get your order - they are clueless. I also wouldn't trust that the food is fresh - will never order through them again.

Wow. Guess I was lucky that my odere was ONLY an hour late! Got the same 2 delay notices others got. Ordered at 12:10 and was promised 12:45 delivery, then delayed, delayed again. Finally arrived at 1:50.
What really piises me off is the lies! I called the restaurant and they said grubnub NEVER arrives before 1:30. Of course, NO offer to refund my money for "delivery"!

If you like your food to sit at the restraunt only to never be picked up, then grubhub is for you. I ordered some Mongolian grill but I got Ethepoian food, aka, nothing. They can eat a flaming bag of babboon $#*!s.

I ordeted my food a week and a half prior to the date it was supposed to be delivered because it was Valentine's Day. My food sat at the restaurant for over an hour and the restaurant kept telling me to cancel. When my food finally arrived it was cold and Soggy She handed me the bag I nearly dropped it because she was in a hurry to leave she didn't look at me once and dressed like a homeless person. All I got from GrubHub was a I'm so sorry for your inconvenience. A promotion coupon. I told them I don't want your coupon I will never never ever use you again. I will go out of my way and pick up my own food. And she got a pretty hefty tip too. Me bad thinking a big tip faster service. GrubHub needs to go away.

Defintion of Discrimination: the practice of unfairly treating a person or group of people differently from other people or groups of people.

This CEO needs to be careful-- he is the one discriminating if trump supporters are not welcome at the workplace.

It is people like you that start this crap you will have law suits on your hands. I will never use your service or recommend that anyone else does. You have pushed the wrong buttons on this issue it was an election and WE THE PEOPLE chose our next president it cannot be undone. Grow Up...

The driver claims he tried to deliver but never called nor rang the doorbell. Grunhub only offered us to return our money with no other compensation. They reached out to the driver and no response. Im deleting my account and the app.

Hello i work with grubhub and i have applied for a grant with them but i am starting to fell like it was a joke and was falty grant i called them about 3 times and the first to they just hung up on me and the last one did help but all she could do is send me a link that does not work so at this point i just felt like writing this complaint if you are a customer that orders from grubhub thank you and tips are very helpful for grubhub does not pay that well again thank for your tips

Received call from GrubHub about my food being so late. Said she would waive delivery fee. Concerned food would be cold she said to call back and they would do something. Food was to be here 6:15-6:25pm. It arrived at 6:56pm ICE COLD AGAIN. Called GrubHub again and got another run around. Talked to different person who said she'd refund delivery fee. I want refund because I can eat cold food. She "Called restaurant" to see if they would authorize refund. Guess what... no refund. Enjoy cold food! This service is not worth a second of your time. Food is always cold. No customer service at all. Screws customer every time. I'm so glad I'm going back home tomorrow be cause there is NO GRUBHUB where I live. Save yourself the aggravation -- do not use this service!

I am a grub hub delivery driver for their new delivery service. Firs off, the app is full of flaws. There is up to a 15mile distance between restuants and drop off. Not only does it cost more in gas to make these deliveries than the money I earn, but when I call to complain about thier flaw, I get very bland non responsive replys. Horrible customer service and they treat their drivers like crap.

Order food from them at 2:30p stated food would arrive by 3:20p. Then when checked tracker food was delayed again pushing it back almost 2 hours. Called restaurant they said my food been ready and was just sitting out. Called Grubhub and a driver was still not assigned and my food would have been sitting out for over 2 hours. In order to get a refund it's takes 3-5 business days to get your money back. Poor customer service and order through them at your own risk!

It was an okay experience,I preferred them over door dash, but GrubHub ran an unauthorized background check on me I haven't worked for them in almost 7 months. I have since moved to a different state and renewed my licensed in the current state I reside in, I no longer live in Delaware, but because the last license I gave the was a Delaware license they took it upon themselves to run my Delaware license for the background check I never authorized. I emailed the company who did the check, and they told me it would be investigated. I just recently got a email saying my background check failed. Of course it will fail I no longer use that license it's expired and I have a new license, but I am no longer interested in working for GrubHub. I never failed a background check before. I don't think it's right, the fact it's that easy to use my or someone else's information in that way. I want to take legal actions I'm thinking of reporting them to the BBB. Unbelievable...

I place an order with Wingstop and never received it. When I complained to Grubhub they said someone tried to deliver and they are sorry and offered me 1/3 the cost of my purchase. Are they crazy? I'm getting my money. Watch!

I ordered food from a resturant 10 mins away here i aam over a hour and half later still no food. Cant cancel the order. Customer service is a complete no show... Now im out close to 40 dollars and no food

My daughter and I ordered a simple Wawa meal. After about 45 minutes of ordering (site wasn't working properly and it made me do the order over again, twice) the order finally went through. 15 more minutes went by as the order status lit up saying it was processing, they canceled our order! We called grub hub and there was absolutely nothing they could do for my wasted time except for a 10% off coupon. Chump change for my hour + of wasted time and frustration. The gentleman on the customer service team was very nice and he told me that wawa had canceled the order. Too bad. That should be your satisfaction guarantee to the customer. So basically it's just my problem.

It looks like there's no love lost for Grubhub, which makes me happy. We ordered delivery tonight, got messages about the progress of the order, then were notified that our food was delivered. NO FOOD WAS FOUND anywhere outside our house. I tried contacting the restaurant (food was handed to the driver "A long time ago") then GH. GH sent me a text message as I was chatting with their customer service person notifying me that my order was cancelled. This is now 2 hours later and we still have no food. They offered me first 15% off my next order, then when I complained that wasn't good enough and requested a free meal, upped the offer to 25%. This company is unfair to drivers, restaurants, and customers. I will NEVER use them again. If a place only offers GH delivery, I'll boycott, eat in, or pick it up myself. Their lack of response (at 9pm on a snowy Chicago night, 1 hour after my food was supposed to have been delivered) has earned my never ending hatred.

Tip for consumers:
Order direct from the restaurant - you'll help them out and contribute to local businesses rather than a money grabbing unreliable mega-corp

I have been a loyal grubhub customer for about five years in that time I have had at least 8 orders straight up cancelled because drivers just didn't show up to pick up my orders from the resturants. Instead of calling me to tell me so I could possibly pick it up they usually wait about two ours after my order was put in (around resturant closing time) to tell me sorry nothing they can do have some free grubhup cash or whatever. Only I never once received a free grub coupon in my email. I am done, other delivery services may be pricier, but at least you won't be starving in the middle of the night.

Every time I order from grubhub something goes wrong. Tonight I ordered taco bell and was not informed that my food had arrived. It sat outside my door for 15 minutes before I knew it was there. The driver smashed my food to the point that I couldn't even eat it. Yes they refunded my money but I should not have had to do that.

I had a $10.00 off GrubHub coupon for a local restaurant. I went to GrubHub, Placed My Order, entered the coupon promotional code and my credit card info. When the receipt came up it had not applied the coupon. At this point I could not cancel my order. I called GrubHub and I was told by a representative that even though my coupon had not expired it could not be honored because the restaurant had already redeemed its quota of coupons and my coupon would not be honored. I asked to speak to a supervisor and my call was disconnected.
If there are only a certain number of coupons that will be honored, then restaurants should only receive that amount. This restaurant is still handing out these coupons.

An hour ago I placed an order with a local eatery via grubhub for my supper. I waited and after an hour the app said my order had been delivered, and it had not. I contacted customer service, they told me my food would not be coming, that it was undeliverable due to a parade. WTF! Parades are advertised events, if you seriously can't drive around a parade route, then don't sell the service to the impacted area codes on that day, and at least call when the order is received to notify me that my food isn't available try somewhere else.

What a complete waste of time. I still have no supper, 1.5 hours later.

The grub hub in my area which used to be good is now done. I ordered a sandwich at 12:05 pm and it was supposed to be here at 12:40. I checked the tracker and it was not set up to come here til 2:40pm. I called the restaurant who says GrubHub is terrible these days here. The worst was calling the help line, they lied and said the driver was on his way to the restaurant. A half hour later I called and they lied and said the same thing. Canceled my order. NEVER AGAIN Grub hub you are liars and you should be ashamed of yourself.
