“Customer help would not admit or acknowledge mistake”

Order was delivered 1 hour early. The order was for 2 people and $144. Customer help would not acknowledge and when I sent them the receipt that was proof of delivery time they said it was not attached on e mail properly whatever that means. Avoid GRUBHUB if possible.

Went to place my first order with a 25% off promo code. The only condition of this code was that it be a new account. An over 100$ order received only 10$ off with the promo. So I call Grubhub customer service. They proceed to give me the runaround for 20 minutes and settle on, there is nothing we can do.

So I told them exactly what I was going to do, contact the state attorney generals office and file a false advertising complaint, contact their corporate office, and write up my experience everywhere online I could find. Hence this. I ended up cancelling it, and instead of a nice night in where we didn't have to cook, they just wasted an hour of our time.

Would not recommend any of the delivery apps really. They all add either egregious service fees (this 10 item order? 20$ in fees from grubhub). Would suggest you only support restaurants by using in house delivery. This industry is extremely predatory to both drivers and customers, and honestly it needs severe regulation. In the absence of that, there isn't really any point in patronizing these.

They took so long picking up my order that the restaurant had to remake it THREE TIMES. They didn't alert us to the delays and ended up being over two hours late. To put insult to injury the first time we called grubhub they HUNG UP ON US. The second time we called, they brushed us off and offered a ten dollar gift card for our next order (as if we'll ever order from grubhub again). The gift card they offered, by the way, wasn't even worth a quarter of what we paid for the meal. In all honesty, I just feel terrible for the restaurant... hope grubhub paid them for the other meals they had to toss.

Today is the third time I have ordered from grub hub that I have not received my order (restaurant not taking online order). They shouldn't advertise restaurants that aren't open or taking orders, take my payment, and then waste the drivers time and my time waiting on food that will never be made.

Jk, never order anything. You will get cold food from a clueless person who couldnt find your house multiple hours after estimated delivery time. EVERY. TIME. YOU. ORDER. Need proof? Order grubhub from your favorite local resturant, sit at the bar there and wait for your "driver" to show up with the grubhub bag, You cant miss them. I had a drink and a long chat with my own unwitting delivery guy about all the crap he pulls on the job, then met him at my house across the street from the resturant to recieve my food. You shouldve seen the look on dude's face LOL. This company is garbage.

Several times we have used grub hub for our orders from Tijuana flats and several times it says delivered and I've recieved nothing. They offer a supposed refund but we only recieved a fraction of the cost for the meal we originally ordered. Boohissss

I don't get why this company even exists... They advertise that you can order from ANY restaurant, but when I go to use their crappy app the only restaurants I can order from are ones that ALREADY deliver. It's the 21st Century and somehow there's no company that exists who can bring you food from a non-delivery restaurant. If I could give zero stars I would.

I love love LOVE this site. Whether I'm at home on break in D. C. or living it up in the Dorm at MSU in East Lansing GrubHub has always got my back when it comes to food.
Staff is always helpful, like today I ordered from a local BBQ franchise and when it was delivered I realized that one of my food items was missing! I called the restaurant (in which they were very apologetic) and told me to call GrubHub staff which I did and they were so friendly and apologetic as well (Thanks Teresa!). I was able to get a refund on the item and staff texted me to just make just I knew that I did in fact get my refund!
I was very pleased that they handled everything so nicely. There is a reason I only use GrubHub for my delivery of snackage :)

Tip for consumers:
GrubHub is wonderfull and its not their fault if your area has a limited selection of resaurants to choose from.

This is the WORST website out there. If you plan to order your food and receive it do not go through this website. I ordered my food over two hours ago, continued to receive emails stating that it was on its way, and when I did not get the food I finally called only to find out this company did not deliver after. However, on this website it clearly stated I was ordering food for delivery and when they messed up they were unable to fix their mistake. When my husband called the restaurant that I ordered for they said they had not received a call from GrubHub. If you want food DO NOT GO HERE!

GrubHub does not allow a review if they cancel your order.
They cancelled my order that was placed 24 hours in advance.
No phone call, no contact. The information said the order was being processed an hour before the delivery time I requested, the driver arrived at the restaurant, the delivery time was pushed forward 15 minutes, then suddenly it was cancelled. Very very bad! The GrubHub representative said they don't work with the restaurant and the restaurant should have called me to pick other menu items. The restaurant manager said they never got my order, they don't work with GrubHub and 3rd party delivery services are BAD. Warning! It was our 45th anniversary and we are in lock down so we were WITHOUT A MEAL! Sad.

I have been failed both times. Toinight my order was canceled after I asked them not to. They did refund me but I wanted my food. In Texas I have had exceptional service but iin the State of Washington it has sucked. I will NEVER use this service again.

Absolute worst food ordering experience of my life ordered McDonald's fast food at 8 AM and at 12 PM still haven't received the order was lied to 3 times by their customer service and so called supervisors which are not because they're answering through an automated foreign service this app is absolutely garbage I would recommend no one uses it and we should all be trying to get a class action lawsuit against them for breach of service because they are totally against taking care of their customers they completely lie to you to get you off the phone and the food never shows up and when you try to ask for a corporate number to call they all tell you they are as hot as you can talk completely unacceptable

Tip for consumers:
Use door dash atleast they show up and don't lie to paying customers

Grubhub overall wasn't too bad. The food was easy to find, the orders are easy to place. The customer service like is amazing. But i shouldnt have to call the customer service line. I placed an order at 6pm. Maybe expecting by 6; 45 as the restaurant is fairly close t my location. My estamated arrival was 6; 35, then it was 7; 05, then 8; 05. AND my driver was making stops at other homes for multiple minutes and ended up in a whole nother town. Im hungry. Im using doordash.

The GrubHub entitled CEO apparently thinks he is above the law by threatening employees' rights to vote for the party of their choice. This is an anti-American, hypocritical, and blantantly dispicable and prosecutable use of authority. Shame on you--CEO Matt Maloney. Liberal or Conservative-NOBODY has the right to threaten an employee for political beliefs. Did you forget--you live in the United States of America. Shame, shame, shame on you.

And by the way-I do not like your app. I attempted to use it several times when I lived in NYC. The wait time to reach restaurants is too long. Maybe you should spend more time on enhancing your product and less time on threatening your employees' civil rights.

First time I tried I waited and waited and they canceled my order for no reason. This time I've waited for over 1.5 hours to get my food. They tried to say they didn't have a driver assigned to my food but it was ready. What is a point in having a site if you can't do what you are suppose to. I do not recommend using Grubhub at all. Hungery boiler was so much better

Today is the third day in a row that I have ordered food from Grubhub thinking they might make their services better but I was absolutely wrong. The food delivered to me was ridiculously cold that it looked undercooked and this has happened third time in a row consecutively. When u reported the error to Customer service, they said "we can't issue u a refund because this is the same problem you are reporting from last three days so system doesn't allow us to process a refund." I am so disgusted at their response, why am I paying you such high cost if I have to stand in the kitchen at the end or throw the food in trash. I don't care about money at this point, they really need to work on their services. They think the customer reporting any issue is always making up stories so don't issue a refund. Why not? If the customer has same problem, obviously he/she is going to report that. It's not our problem that your services are poor. Good luck with you all as I am done with their nonsense! Never ordering from them again.

I ordered lunch and was told it would take 30-40 minutes for delivery -- no problem, I could wait; my meeting wasn't going to start for another 90 minutes, 30 minutes later, I got a message saying my order would be delayed by another 30 minutes -- again, tried to be patient, but growing more and more hungry. Then I got a message saying the order was ready, but delayed again because the driver hadn't arrived to pick it up, so it was going to be delayed by another 20 minutes or so. So, all in all, I had to cancel my order and missed my lunch... super unreliable.

We ordered Chuys and love it however this is the second time we have used Grub hub and the second time out hot food was cold! It took well over an hour to get out food. Not happy and will not use them again.

I ordered at El Loro Mexican resto using grubhub at 8:02 pm and they processed right away the payment but they kept on delaying the delivery time. They kept on changing the time until it's almost 2 hrs wait and they have not delivered it yet. It's almost 10 pm now and they again posted that it will be delivered between 10:05- 10:15 Pm. This is unacceptable!

The "customer service" representatives at this company have NO IDEA how to resolve a simple issue. I needed a password reset, the link to reset my password is not working, and therefore I called customer service. Long story short, I spoke with 5 different representatives over the course of 2 hours via phone and chat, and not one single person could resolve my issue. I called corporate to get help, and after 25 minutes on the phone, I was hung up on. If I were the CEO or president of this company I would be embarrassed. I am deleting my grubhub AND seamless apps (as they are operated by the same company) and would advise anyone reading this to do the same. I will not support a company who is profiting from good people such as myself, but yet cannot figure out how to provide resolution on a simple issue, or manage to keep their customer happy. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!

Ordered a local mexican restaurant with them... was going to take an hour and a half. We were ok with this because it was pretty late at night. 35 min after it was supposed to be delivered I called customer service to find out why and she said she needed to call the restaurant. The restaurant had been closed for an hour at this point. Never was delivered and customer service was unbelievably unhelpful. Acted like nothing was unusual. What a joke... DO NOT USE GRUB HUB UNLESS YOU WANT A HASSLE AND NO FOOD. We will see if I ever get my money back

SCREW GRUBHUB. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have been sitting at my office window and was told the food was delivered. No driver was ever here and did not answer my phone calls. Grubhub refuses to refund the order or have it redelivered. Use DoorDash or Postmates or any other food delivery service. I am so fed up with this company's customer service. They've lost an entire office of weekly orders. I hope they're pleased with themselves.

We didn't know that GrobHub was a extern delivery company of the restaurant we ordered.
Their food was ready after 30 minutes but they picked it up after more than one hour.
We recieved the finished food cold, 45 minutes afer producing and 30 minutes after our estimated delivery time.
In addition there was no accomodation from GrobHub's side regarding the delay.

I would highly recommend you to only order there if your very flexible and don't want cold food.

Worst service at call center, Alexandra, pauldo, Mario, would not put me through to a manager and hung up on me. There driver ran a solid 30 second long red light (non transitioning light) and almost hit me the rusher inside reseraunt before me and gave me dirty looks. This is how grubhub operates business.

The idea behind GrubHub is great, but the company itself is a total joke. We have ordered for our office MANY times and almost every time the food is later than expected and the order is ALWAYS wrong. Then we we call they don't even fix the order so some employees are left with nothing to eat.

I was charged two times on the same day for the same meal from Grubhub. When I called the phone number that the restaurant provided to me, I got someone in Mexico who could not speak English. I called the restaurant back and was provided a second phone number and again, I got someone in the Phillipines and again, could not understand the person. Did not speak English. ARE YOU KIDDING. How dare you steal from myself or anyone for that matter. You have bad reviews for a reason. You stole from the wrong person.
