Order was delivered 1 hour early. The order was for 2 people and $144. Customer help would not acknowledge and when I sent them the receipt that was proof of delivery time they said it was not attached on e mail properly whatever that means. Avoid GRUBHUB if possible.
Over charges... takes from restaurants... drivers never available... garbage customer service... even had to place a complaint with the Attorney General of our state to get our money back for an order that was never delivered.
A couple of years ago, my GrubHub orders were great - on time, food delivered hot, and delivery with a general smile. Now, delivery times are inaccurate and food arrives with questionable quality. When you ask to resolve it, you'll receive a coupon for 15% of $55! No refund for cold foods even though they continue to extend your delivery times. Does not appear the corporate office cares. I guess they have so many customers, they do not care if you discontinue use. A couple of years ago, it was a very different experience with GrubHub, a more efficient experience. Don't waste your time and money with this new-age GrubHub service. I guarantee you will soon regret giving them your personal information and business!
I ordered online because I prefer not to talk to morons. So after ordering on Grub hub I get a 15 minute harassing phone call, that their website charged me wrong and wanted me to otherwise additional charges. Very shady practices! Already billed my card, have to wait 4 days for refund and no food.
Drivers can never find my house, are always late. It's very stressful giving them navigation that is on their phones. I didn't have the heart to reverse their generous tips. After this final fiasco, I deleted the Grub Hub app. Never again.
Tip for consumers:
Avoid the temptation to have food delivered. It’s difficult but ultimately worth going shopping and preparing meals at home. If you don’t mind stress or cold food and lots of giving drivers navigation directions prior, then disregard this tip.

Old fashioned grocery store shopping. It’s sad during a pandemic that I can’t splurge on occasion and order delivery, but perhaps I’ll find a competitor to Grub Hub someday.
I ordered dinner for me and my two children last night. I tracked the progress and was surprised to see that the tracking said it was delivered when no food has arrived. I called Grubhub who I should look on my front porch for the food. No food was there. The customer service told me they could not refund my money but would give me a credit for my next order. I paid $47 for dinner that never came.
If only there were a rating of -1. I cannot think of one occasion where i received an order from grubhub without some sort of complication. I guess jokes on me for continuing to use this app. NEVER AGAIN. Worst customer service i've ever received, hands down.
The Ceo threatened to fire all employees that didn't share his political point of view. This election has really shaken people up and it didn't turn out the way I wanted either. But we are not a communist country and they way this company discriminated against its employees makes me so sad. I could never support them after this very unprofessional they need to be sued.
This company is a disgrace. Yet another hypocritical, self righteous business that thinks it's their responsibility to control what opinions other people are allowed to have, constitutional rights be damned. Thankfully for the free world, we have control over where we spend our money and GrubHub is the LAST place many of us will choose to exercise that choice.
WORST experience of my life. Literally. I've never been so disappointed and repulsed by someone's food or customer service and I've been in the restaurant industry for over 10 years. Here's the short version... ordered online, food came 1.5 hours later, food was cold and we thought that one of our orders wasnt included so I called the restaurant. The "manager" answered and after the first 2 minutes gave me an attitude. She refused to apologize for the quality of her food, which makes me believe that they just have extremely low standards. Moral of the story is, it's difficult to determine which was worse- the food or the customer service. Do not EVER go here!
GrubHub needs to get it together. If you're going to create a company like this, figure out how to do it right before promising people things. I've had nothing but trouble with them. I feel bad for their drivers and whoever else works for them. I give up on you guys.
I've ordered food delivery from GrubHub many times and it never fails that something will go wrong. My orders are always missing something, the delivery is late, or doesn't show up at all. My credit card has been charged doubled or not refunded when promised. The last straw for me was when my delivery driver showed up without wearing a mask. After reaching out to GrubHub customer service about this, I was completely blown off and never responded to.
This is unacceptable and I will be ordering elsewhere from here on out.

I am a driver with GrubHub for food delivery. Was getting decent money and in their high tier. Recently they had issues with iPhone, which their CS confirmed. Due to their issue with iPhone blocks got market as absent. No one responds even after sending multiple emails
What a horrible company. I waited outside for 5-10 minutes after getting the call that food was here. No one showed up. I called back and was put on hold with customer service for 15 minutes and was then told "sorry something happened, your order won't be coming, have a nice day". $#*! you GrubHub.
So I placed an order through Grub Hub, the driver never gave my drink & told the person I was on the phone with that she did. So basically its the drivers word over yours. Plus they didn't want to come down into the building. Don't pay tip till you get it at your door, the drivers tend to be lazy and rude.
If I could give this scam of a "business" less than one star I definitely would. I have given Grubhub multiple chances now, thinking maybe they were just busy, maybe the restaurant was at fault, etc. NOPE. Every. Single. Time. Consistently. My orders are delayed 4-5 times until I finally have to give up and cancel, and use Doordash. And of course they hold more money on your card than the order actually costs, and a refund takes forever. Save yourself a HORRIBLE experience and steer clear of Grubhub.
No remorse, cannot own up to their mistakes, Lousy service. Support even said " I is not my fault you cannot walk" I been getting things delivered because I have injury in both legs, I specifically ask for delivery only. All i got was text saying we cannot deliver your food, sorry can you pick it up? My card was charge money not returned I had to call my bank went through hustle so I am out of that money, eat24 all did was shrug and blame me of my own injuries. Worse place to order from.
After using Grub Hub for 9 months, I discovered that they only sign up restaurants that already have employee drivers. I received no help whatsoever when Grub Hub accidentally sent my order as a cash sale, not credit, and I had to ask the actual restaurant for help. Not only do they offer no customer service despite having an offshore customer service rep, they have charged restaurants improperly - class action suit is in progress. To refurbish their image, they now are airing ads asking for customers to donate their change to their charity for food for the hungry kids. How noble - taking customers' monies, not their own. I would never use Seamless or Grub Hub. Calling the customer service number is a waste of time, because, I've found, they don't help. I needed to ask the restaurant or handle it myself. I will never use grubhub again! I ordered food for 4 people to be delivered at our job and we got the wrong size drinks, one of my friends didn't even get her meal and we had to ask the restaurant to comp us a meal (which they graciously did!) because there was an entire meal missing. I'm pretty sure the driver ate it. Anyway, our fries were cold, he hauled our food around in the trunk of his car, and we had to wait for our food for over an hour. I used Grubhub this once to just try it out and it sucked. I will use Doordash (I've never had a bad experience there) from now on!
Inferior restaurants, iffy payment processing (sometimes PayPal and credit card payments work flawlessly, other times they don't work at all), way off delivery times (food arrives way sooner or way later than estimated delivery.) Now I know most people probably wont complain about an earlier than expected delivery, but sometimes this too can be annoying. Imagine being told that you have around 35-45 minutes before your order arrives, so you decide to hop in the shower, maybe shave and get dressed, only to end up with an angry delivery person on your doorstep threatening to take the food back to the restaurant when they arrived away ahead of the expected delivery time. The other extreme is waiting for what feels like hours for food from a restaurant that you could have walked to and back from multiple times. A restaurant that is never very busy and is presently in a slow period when you place your order. These are just a few areas where Grubhub needs to improve.
We ordered from a local restaurant though GrubHub noticing the price hike of $1 per dish. The initial time provided was 11:40 (order was placed around 10:45) - this went from 11:40 to 12:15 to 12:59. I chatted via the box and requested them to cancel the order and went and picked it up myself. We had guests and hungry kids waiting for their food. The company offered to compensate me through the NEXT order - as if I would ever use their service again. The meal was delayed because GrubHub could not find a driver. If their staffing and process are so flawed - they deserve to be run out of business. Useless promises made about "caring for the customer"... NOT!

HORRIBLE experience. I've never had such a negative customer service experience. Over 1 hour and 3 separate phone calls combined with 5 different people, two of which were managers. I only wanted to use a $50 gift card and GrubHub was giving me an error message when I tried using it. Nobody even asked one time for the gift card information to see if it was even a valid gift card. That should have been the 1st way to resolve my issue. I brought that up 30 minutes into the 1st call with the 1st manager I was speaking with. The 5th guy that I spoke to was great! He actually helped me. All other 4 people really need to work on their customer service skills.
Limited delivery times. Restaurants pop up that will accept your order but they are either closed or in another state. No guidelines at customer service, sometimes you have to argue for a refund, and other times they will refund with an additional credit, all for the same reason. Drivers don't read English many times and do not leave food in the correct place. I have a year of free Grubhub+ but I still pay for Uber One.
Horrible business ethics and substandard service for merchants. They said I would be paying 15% on orders and when I checked my statements it was more like 25%... Then when they explained it to me, they said phone calls with no orders were assessed commissions based on the last 6 orders total amount of the check. So, if there is not an order, they still collect commission... What is that? They never tell you this until you realize that you are losing over 25%... Also, who knows if these phone calls exist, they don't put an order amount next to it... Stick with the upfront guys, Postmates, doordash, Chow Now, Slice
After receiving an email receipt and a confirmation that my order had been placed, we waited for two hours for the food to arrive. I sent multiple status requests through links on the Eat24 receipt email but no one ever responded to them. Finally we called the Eat24 customer service number and they informed us that our credit card had been denied (which has never happened before) so the order was never placed. We asked why they didn't let us know and they had nothing to say. After reading the other reviews here, I am now fully expecting to see the charge on my credit card bill and am sure I'll have to fight to get the charge reversed. Extremely bad service. Two hours of waiting for nothing.
I vow to never use grub hub ever again. Three times in a row now they completely got my order incorrect. The solution is to refund me... well that's nice, I guess. But I still wasted an hour waiting for food that o wanted and then had to order other food. Complete waste of time, don't use grub hub. Any alternative is 1000% better, guaranteed.
