Check your receipts. Past month Grubhub has been increasing service fee after order delivered when charge posts to account. Food price, tax and tip stay same, but their service fee increases. For example when orders placed fee $4. Final charge then $4.80. How is this not illegal? Beware!
I used grub hub to order Indian food from Himalayan Bistro West Roxbury, MA. It took 2 hours to get to me, and then I wS gives the wrong order, I contacted grub hub for the 3rd time, they contacted the restaurant and 30 min later I got my order, it now had two items missing! The food was awful! Grub hub did not care.
GrubHub is inferior to every other delivery service for one simple reason: their customer service is an embarrassment. Every other delivery service that I have used will correct an order if at all possible when they make a mistake. GrubHub will maybe offer a 20% coupon for your next order, but will NEVER try to get you the rest of what you actually ordered.
Thus far, using their service, I have gotten one order out of several that was actually correct. The worst part to me is the 20+ minute wait for customer service, followed by more than 10 minutes of them trying to figure out what's going on. By the time they tell you that you can get a little discount for next time, all of your food is cold, and it's too late to go somewhere else.
Unfortunately, they recently bought Eat24, which had its problems occasionally, but was far more reliable and always did their best to help customers ASAP when things went wrong. As soon as GH took over, things went bad fast. There are so many competing services that it is worth using one of them, even if you have to pay a little more $$, since with GH you will be paying with your time, frustration, lack of expected food, and unnecessary hunger while you wait for them to not fix their blunders.
Tried to use GrubHub again after a long period away for prior failure to deliver on time warm food and a complete order. With Amazon prime there was a deal for one year of GrubHub+, so I figure why not give it a shot again.
First attempt at an order, the restaurant doesn't partake in GrubHub+, color me surprised (heavy sarcasm). So I pay the fee. This is a restaurant I've had delivered before from other services. 35 to 40 minute delivery time advertised. 10 minutes past after ordering there's been a delay it'll be another 20 minutes on top of that. Mind you 5 minutes from the restaurant and the food takes about 20 minutes to prepare. Another 10 to 15 minutes go by, going to be another 20 minutes minimum on top of the other delays. While it shows my driver going anywhere but the restaurant.
The basic tenets of a business are you have to provide the service you claim or the business doesn't get to continue to exist. Somehow however GrubHub like Uber eats like DoorDash get to be subsidized by hedge funds and other large investors gradually start increasing their delivery fees while still not paying their delivery drivers anything because they're " contractors" and repeatedly fail to provide the basic service of delivering food in a timely manner.
At what point do these con artists shell games get closed down?
It's ridiculous provide the service. I'll pay the fee just provide the service, I know it's a novel concept.

Every time I have ordered food through the app, the driver goes 2 blocks away and i don't eat that night. Map pin is on the correct address but they always go to 4476 instead of 4276. Bunch of BS!
Use them often but will not anymore… i thought it was easier to place order and you would have the benefit of the customer service part if something went wrong with order…. Well they are terrible. Have had missing items in my last three orders and when i try to contact them it takes forever to get a response…. Really on a friday or sunday … why should it take over 45 mins to get someone to respond to you got on grub hub support tonight and was number 33 in the cue. Wow that is a lot of people having a lot of problems. I think the place i ordered from had a bad night… it happens but getting the order wrong and sending cold food… not just not hot… literally COLD food should require a credit or replacement for what was missing and what came cold as if right from a fridge. … 45 mins later… still on hold with grub hub restaurant says they can't do anything since it was ordered via grub hub and grub hub has to perform the credit. This is not s service that provides delivery from restaurants that don't usually deliver… so from now on just order from the restaurant than at least you can make a call and get a resolution without all the run around.

We've tried using GrubHub on too many occasions to make this review downright embarrassing.
4 out of 6 times, they forgot part of our order. Trying to contact anyone to get our order, is beyond difficult.
Driver won't pick up, you need to call restaurant. Restaurant every single time has food bag sitting there, left by driver. No refund by delivery service. Every single time, we've had to go pick up remaining order ourselves. RIDICULOUS. DO NOT TIP THESE DRIVERS UNTIL YOU GET YOUR ORDER.
We will NEVER use this LAZY, USELESS service again.
GRUB HUB HORRIBLE SERVICE
Do not use Grubhub. My last three orders were all wrong. Wrong food, cold food, etc. This time a two hour wait. I tried the customer service chat. Another joke. I kept getting cut off after chatting with 4 different reps, never did get my problem solved.
I know that they are usually the only delivery late at night, but I will now try Uber food.
DO NIT USE GRUBHUB. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I don't usually write negative reviews, but GrubHub is a deserving exception. Dismal waiting times, cold food, restaurants that react with apathy and sometimes even rudeness when you call for status, and waaaaay too expen $$ive for the level of service they offer. Call tje restaurant dierctly and Get your food for pickup. If they only offer delivery through this sute, Run! And call another restaurant.
My order was marked delivered to me - called restaurant and it was never picked up. Grubhub told me I'd get a refund in 5-7 days.
Terrible customer service.
Two hours and still no delivery... finally cancelled order and made my own dinner... probably should have done that in first place... learned my lesson! Never again grubhub!
For some reason we got someone else's order and medium rare admitted it but did nothing to correct the situation. Be aware the drivers deliver the wrong items.

Waited over an hour for Burger King. I called the restaurant they said grub hub hasn't picked up our order. Called them they were like sorry. That's it!
Bad customer service only refunded food to reorder what they messed up on. More delivery feed and tip and tax just to get the correct items. Never again!
I tried using this service to get food delivered for every meal for a month. Less than 50% percent of the orders were filled correctly. Absolutely terrible service.

I was skeptical about using this service, I only used because I didn't want to drive the distance to get food. I order wings, waffle fries, soda. My order of wings were specified to cook extra minutes to make crispy but not burnt. When I opened bag I only had wings and they weren't cooked to my order. Waffle fries & soda weren't in bag. I immediately called restaurant and they blamed Grubhub and Grubhub blamed restaurant, It eventually falls on Grubhub to make sure order is properly given to restaurant to make accordingly to person ordering... my wings were not crispy and I wanted a complete refund. Grubhub stated they were refunding items I didn't receive, I explained that I want a whole refund and that the Grubhub driver can come back and get food. The problem is Grubhub is only worried about getting money and not concerned about accurate order. I WILL NOT USE AGAIN! I will try for dash, etc... RUN AS FAST AS U CAN!
I placed an order an asked for face to face with my food but the dum Gump put on order"food" on my ground an it was cold, so now my food is cold, I didn't even know it was out there. Sucked, they tried to give me a 7.00 dollar credit wtf! Due to they DUM driver my 27.00 order was cold! Mf's I want ALL my money back! I ordered Ice Cream from Mc Donald's. I understand there's other orders that the driver picked up and might get delivered before my order. I followed my driver and I watched as he approached a street two streets away from mine, thinking he might be delivering to another family. 15 mins go by I don't see him move. So I texted my drive and asked what was his eta because I ordered ice cream. The driver never responded, but started driving again in a different direction further from my street and turned around went back to the same street he was on before and sat there again. After waiting another 10mins I became very annoyed because it's been over 25 mins and this person had my order which was ICE Cream. I was in touch with Grubhub customer service and I just flat out asked for my money back because I didn't want ice cream that was sitting in someone car for more than 30mins and half the time these drivers are more concerned with getting high and not getting the delivery on time. This is my 2nd lesson learned with this app so I'm done with ordering food with them.
They used to be an acceptable delivery service with only an occasional mistake and a CS department that tried to make the customer happy. They have really deteriorated over the past few months -- food not as ordered, missing items, late deliveries, etc. The last straw for us was that tonight we ordered from Old Chicago. The driver arrived an hour after s/he was supposed to -- and gave us SOMEONE ELSE'S ORDER!
This is a ridiculously long amount of time to wait for food... restaurants were closing as I was still waiting and didn't have any other arrangements for food that night. It's a terrible experience.
Eat 24 are the rudest and worst delivery service I have ever come across. Do yourself a favor and dont order through them. Just call the restaurant directly or go to the restaurants site.
I was told I'd get "free grub". They sent me a ten dollar coupon. When was the last time any meal cost ten dollars.

Would be nice to be sent discounts on purchases once in awhile. I've spent $1,000 in 6 months and the only offer/discount I was offered was upon sign up.$7 measly bucks! Thanks a lot!
