Order was delivered 1 hour early. The order was for 2 people and $144. Customer help would not acknowledge and when I sent them the receipt that was proof of delivery time they said it was not attached on e mail properly whatever that means. Avoid GRUBHUB if possible.
I've been working in the restaurant business way longer then grubhub has been around and they have THEE worst customer service. I call to change prices and they are allowed to help but always tell me they can't. They have attitudes all day no matter WHO I talk too... one lady kept saying "is that it?" I told her I would call back later to talk to somebody. Worst ever. I believe it should be shut down. Ordering over the phone saves time and energy for everybody...
My food order was received 1 hour late, with an incorrect item and a smaller portion than ordered/paid for. Contacting the restaurant proved fruitless. Contacting GrubHub led to emails and text messages of inquiry, apology and promised discount coupons for future orders. First a $20 coupon, which another employee rescinded. Then 2 $5 coupons promised-but never sent. EAT24 is my only option for the future
Terrible experience, ordered for delivery with a promo code for free delivery because I was a first time user. Never tried Grub hub before so i figured hey great. Over an hour later I have hungry kids & ticked off hubby. Yay me, I call grub hub to see what's wrong and they tell me it was ordered for pick up. Nope. But whatever, just glad I learned not to trust this delivery service. Terrible! Worst experience ever. Learned my lesson. Dont use Grub hub if you actually expect your food to be delivered!
Originally ordered the food and it said it'd take 35 min. It's now going on 2 hours and after contacting grubhub twice, once via text chat and second via phone call the best "David" could do was tell me his manager would call me tomorrow. Updated* It apparently took so long that the company I ordered food from auto-canceled the order because it closed. Terrible service, will not be using again.
This has happened to me multiple times which is why I am writing a "review" of Grub hub. They are a horrible service that does not maintain contact with their restaurants to ensure that the store hours are up to date. Resulting in food being hours late or not arriving at all. The best option they give you is here's your money back. Do you even realize why I ordered food in the first place!? I wanted food over money. Whatever people say I have had better experience through Bitesquad and Uber Eats than Grub Hub. Save yourself the trouble, do not order through them.
Ordered 5 orders today for my coworkers at a hospital. My name and number all correct and I've never had a problem until today. I had 2 people looking for the delivery girl. I texted and tried to call and no response. 30 mins of waiting... it's shows "food delivered". Well guess what no food for me... I called and texted customer service they said she "tried but no one was there". I got an email 30 mins later saying she tried. Ok. If my numbers were correct then why didn't you call? Soo pissed! No refund, no redeliver of food, nothing. Customer service sucked. I will dispute these charges ASAP! Cancelled account also.
I placed an order at 9:45 for a restaurant that is 5 mins away and closes at 11. The order never came. Grubhub acknowledged that "sometimes this happens," but is holding onto my money for 5+ days. Total fraud. They should not be taking people's money when they know it's too busy for their drivers to keep up.
Tried to order and at the very end got an "unexpected error" error. No details. Called customer service. They gave me the run around then they said their security team would have to fix my account. No ETA. A week later no resolution. They are great at taking my money for a gift card but I can't use it. Seems on the edge of fraudulent.
Don't use it. Even restaurants owner. They turn your restaurant off whenever they want. Their only answers are just "I don't know " OR " not enough delivery guys"
If you like the food from other restaurants directly call to them.
If you order your food through grubhub, you won't mind them eating some of your food. Next time you receive your order, if you actually get it, look how it appears. If you notice any gaps between your fries or chicken wings, that was them snacking on your meals. The time I never got my meal, they tried to give me a 50% promo code lol! After 30 minutes of back and forth on the phone I finally get a refund for the food I never got. These clowns are great at being terrible at their jobs.
Food arrives late somewhat regularly. They also sent me a coupon for "10$ off your next meal." I read the fine print, and it did not contradict the statement on the flier. When I tried to enter in the code, the website popped up a message "For first time customers only." I was already at the check out, and ravenous. Doesn't the phrase "next meal" imply that you've already ordered from them before? They are a scam.
My food showed up with watery sour cream all over it and an extreme amount of guacamole i tried to just suck it up and eat some of it so so gross then when i got on chat with grub hub they said sorry you asked for sour cream nothing we can do
You can count on either getting your correct order, or actually getting your order about 50% of the time! I'm not sure what the hiring process is for Grubhub, but my 13 year olds are smarter and pay more attention than most of the delivery drivers. Anyone could begin a delivery service and force current delivery services out of business just by hiring smart people. We're over it!
I ordered Wendy's from grubhub. It took almost two hours, according to tracking, it was in the driver's car for almost an hour. The good was soggy and old tasting. My food total was 22 dollars I added a 20 percent tip and my bill ended up 44 dollars. RIP off. If you're going to charge that kind of delivery fee at least get food delivered fresh. I will never order from them again.
Worst experience. Ordered around 8:30 PM and haven't received anything until 10 PM due to unassigned drivers. Eventually forced to cancel the order due to closing of restaurant. Please do invest in customer service and driving staff so that people don't go hungry. If your are in food business means your doing a good work, don't ruin it with bad service. It may seem small for one order but eventually it will show up.

Sometimes your order will not be assigned any drivers forcing you to either wait more when you are hungry or to cancel eventually.

After editing the kinds of ethnic restaurants I'd be interested in viewing in downtown Chicago, the search results continually included Subway, and other common sandwich shops.
Their search feature leaves an awful lot to desire. I think I'll stick to Yelp.
Ordered food on a Saturday night, waited for an hour then called the restaurant only to find GrubHub cancelled the order because the delivery was out of range. Yet this restaurant showed up on the app and said it was within my delivery area. GrubHub didn't bother to send me a cancellation notice, and they also still charged my bank account for food that was never delivered. Needless to say, I can not longer trust GrubHub and will no longer use them in the future. Avoid this useless app at all costs, because it's obvious they don't know what the hell they're doing!
Worst customer service ever. Had a girl Erica that worked there screw up my order. We ordered for a school luncheon the night before so it would be ready for our early lunch- She did not relay to the restaurant this was a pre-order for the next day and sent a delivery driver out to empty school building at 9:00 pm!
Restaurants unfortunately at an alarming rate continue to forget half of ordered meals, I understand a refund can be initiated, but it at times does not make up for the inconvenience, at times Restaurants don't even recieve orders (allegedly) through which ever system is used to communicate from grubhub to the restaurant. Is their any repercussions for Restaurants who are constantly forgetting entire or half orders, and the consumer has to initiate a refund? Or Restaurants replacing items without calling the consumer to let them know they're out of an item, and it will be replaced? Its becoming an increasing issue at this point, and ordering through these type of apps are starting to be pointless.
Grubhub is as bad as the U.S. postal service, they called three times trying to find my business address and I waited for 2 hours and on the computer it said they have delivered my food, but it never showed up
After our order was 45 minutes late, I called customer service to inquire about it. They could not have been less helpful or concerned that it had not shown up. After doing some "research", they shared that the restaurant mixed up the order and if I wanted them to make our order this time, it would be another 45 minutes at least. I declined and asked for refund. Which to their credit, they did immediately. So over a course of 2:45, no food, very unhelpful customer service via Grub Hub and we are still hungry. Thanks for nothing.
GrubHub Guarantee is a joke. They will deliver (or not) as they see fit, and there's a 1 in 3 chance the driver will pick at your food or disappear with it altogether. They finally cancelled my order after 2 hours and 3 drivers. Everything else was closed for the night. Jerks. I'll use DoorDash or UberEats instead from now on.
First and last time using GrubHub! In town helping a ill friend. Ordered pizza, asked for text, email and provided my cell. Received a few texts that pizza was on the way... almost here... delivered! I went outside to look, no one. Called the pizza company, causally said the driver already left, they can't help but complain to GrubHub. I did, they submitted a refund but kept the delivery fee! Are you kidding me! The delivery never came and I still get stuck with tipping the driver! OMG! Never Ever Again!
I've been ordering food from this site for the past year, and I have never had a single complaint with their service. With more than 40 orders made, I think that is significant.
On the rare occasion that a restaurant makes a mistake or is slow to deliver, Eat24 customer service has resolved the problems quickly and to my satisfaction. I have never encountered anyone rude or dismissive. They are quick, friendly, and helpful.
Additionally, they constantly offer coupons via email or on Facebook, so I often save a couple bucks, allowing me to offer a bigger tip to the delivery person. I'm very pleased and will continue to use their service to find a number of local restaurants that offer convenient delivery to my work and home.
When u have issues with food quality grub hub support shows no concerns and always blames they cannot provide compensation at this time and does a case by case review. Never will I waste my time or money with grub hub.
