“Fees increase after delivery”

Check your receipts. Past month Grubhub has been increasing service fee after order delivered when charge posts to account. Food price, tax and tip stay same, but their service fee increases. For example when orders placed fee $4. Final charge then $4.80. How is this not illegal? Beware!

Places an order a day ahead of time and scheduled to me delivered between meetings (11:30a.m.). Did not show up until 12:30pm. Food was cold. I called the restaurant to make sure it wasn't there fault, but they had the food ready and waiting. WILL NEVER USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN!

Tried to order a few days ago, restaurant was open on the app. But was actually closed and my order was canceled and I'm still waiting on my refund. A few days later i tried to order from the same restaurant and I called the restaurant ahead of time verifying that it was open. Called Grubhub to tell them it wasn't open on the app. The customer service representative told me his driver verified that it was closed and that there was nothing that he could do. So I recalled the restaurant to reverify, and indeed it was open! I felt like someone was lying to me or just didn't want to do their job! So I tried another restaurant and again verified that it was open. Again the app said that it was closed. What the heck is going on here?!?! Worst company ever...

I used to like grub hub but since you want to bully your employees about their political views I will NEVER AGAIN eat at your business or order out and I have backing of the thousands of fellow Truckers I know and their families following suit. Way to alienate a loyal customer base..

WARNING! I was told I would be refunded, the driver THEY HIRED deliberately dropped my order on my porch and is on camera, I'm told the transaction was cancelled but the money never went back on my card. I called my bank and they confirmed this. I got the email to provide to my bank to trace this transaction and my bank again said that it cannot be found. My account was not refunded, they show the transaction was made. NEVER reversed. NEVER refunded. Grubhub is fraud and their customer care team is TERRIBLE AND LIES FOR THEM. They are there to get a check not to assure customers are satisfied and they lie about refunds to avoid giving them. STAY AWAY! Warning! Stay away!

I'm a really good tipper, but that's about to change really quick, I'm probably about to stop using GrubHub all together. Every single time I place an order, every single time, it never fails, the drivers always forget my drink, always! And please tell me, what is the point of having a special instructions prompt for me to type in specific instructions so the drivers can easily get to my house if they never even read the instructions? Every driver I have had that surprisingly gets lost, calls me and asks me where I'm at, and I asked them did you read the special instructions? And they always tell me they never read those. So I always end up having to walk in the middle of the street to meet the driver to get my order literally right next door to my house. It takes 2 seconds to look at the special instructions and see where to go. I thought I made it pretty easy. The few drivers that do take the time to read the instructions, have found my house with no problems. How hard is it to check to make sure someone has a drink? Why won't you read the special instructions? I'm done. Not using it anymore. I'll order delivery directly from the restaurants that deliver. When I asked the driver, where is my drink, he looked at me and said I don't know. What?!? You don't know? And then the drivers wonder why people aren't tipping well anymore. Because we can't trust you to do your job.

GrubHub operates like a modern day Mob run organization. It scams customers and
Rips-off and essentially robs restaurants that do business with them. I had a coupon for a percentage off the meal and reduced delivery fee. By the time all fees were added, the final total was more than double what the food charge would be, service fee was doubled and some additional fees were added and the tip was increased. The cost was much more then just paying for the meal and regular delivery charges and tip. Of course I cancelled the order. Also restaurants are complaining about GrubHub's deviation of contractual fees and charges being much more than what they had agreed to. Owners are also being charged $9+ for every time their phone rings, even if it's a wrong number or people are asking for directions or any random calls having nothing to do with placing an order for delivery. Also GrubHub is collecting a higher percentage of their receipts and contractual fees. I had read restaurant owners were preparing to file a Class Action Lawsuit against GrubHub for contract violations.

This company is aweful! I've tried them 3 times and All 3 times we have waited 3+ hours just for our order to be suddenly cancelled! Unacceptable! No one has time for that assanine crap! Will NEVER USE AGAIN! Would NEVER REFER THEM!

I had such a horrible my experience on my most recent order and my last. I had conflicting information where one site said my order was still being made and another one saying it would be delivered over half an hour late. I used the chat to find out status and that was a joke!

After the person took an eternity checking into the status they told me the driver delivered my food to someone else. That was it. Not an I'm sorry (not until the very end), not a "we're having it made again and will deliver it as soon as possible", nothing. I was left an hour and a half after I ordered to figure out what I was now going to do for dinner for my family. And the chat person was useless. I thought bite squad was bad but this was the worst experience ever. I can never take this risk again so I cannot use GrubHub ever again. It's such a shame because I really don't like bite squad because they lie to their customers and I have proof of that. I guess I just go back to never ordering food online again.
And they had the nerve to send me a $10 credit. Seriously? $10 makes up for not having dinner for my family? NOT!

The driver did not speak any English. He called me yelling at me in a language I did not understand. I tried to speak to him but all I understood was grub hub and listen to him walk around to neighboring streets in a language I did not understand but could hear people say it's not their food. Again yelling at me he contacted the company saying he couldn't reach me after being on the phone 15 mins without communication in a mutual language. I contacted customer service twice they said they will call me back took my information and then hung up on me. I will never order from this company again it was absolutely disgraceful how they handled it. Oh, did I mention we finally got our food after we tracked him down 2 streets over. I left a review with the BBB and they have 1 star across the board and are not accredited. SAVE YOUR AGGRAVATION AND MONEY

Hrubhub is absolutely incompetent they took my order 35 minuets later tells me my order was canceled because the restaurant is closed today. Now I know you pay about 40% more than your order total like if you order $100 of food you will pay about $140 for this order picked up delivered to you with tip. This is a lot of money to pay but your paying for them to be competent and deliver what you order from their app on time. This is not at all what you get. They can just randomly cancel your order with ZERO RESPONSIBILITY ON THEM. They are for sure a horrible choice for customer service they just plain old fashioned suck.

All of these new tech services are the same. They make you pre-pay for the service. It was a brilliant idea on the drawing board, but the service is carried out by a delivery man or taxi driver. Once they are pre-paid... there is no reason to provide service. No more foody sevices, no more uber, no more flywheel... i want to talk to a dispatcher. I want to be able to call my delivery guy. These tech. Companies are systematiclly eliminating any human interaction. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HUMAN INTERACTION. No more eat 24!

Don't ever use Grub Hub to order take out, the add on a extra $4.00 a item and your picking it up! Make the call and pay when you get there and save $20.00 bucks

For some time I ordered frequently and there was no minimum and no fee. Then suddenly there were both minimums and fees (around $5) and when I ordered something for $9,99 I was not allowed to order unless I add another item AND pay a $4,99 delivery fee. I am old and homebound so I can"t order anymore.

Ordered food fro Taco bell and it took over an hour to get to me. By the time it dis the food was gross. They still charge you for delivery this whole thing is BS!

I highly recommend that anyone ordering food on this app will be highly disappointed. I placed an order for Five Guys. The place is expensive, but the food is good, at least at their stores. I ordered through Grub Hub. The order total was 38.00 and some change! Yikes! But, I was hungry. I am looking at the tracker on my PC and could see that the driver was getting close, so, I put on my trusty face mask as the app says and am now waiting on m front porch, sitting below the giant 102 on the door. The food never came. When I called her (twice), she never answered the phone. Then I kept texting her, after about five minutes of this, she texted back, 'I dropped it off already'. I replied, "not at this house you didn't. I've been sitting on the front porch waiting for you. So, I contact Grub Hub and now I am waiting 5 days for the money back, I am left hungry and really pissed off. All I can say is... NEVER AGAIN! And yes, I did try Uber Eats too, and they screwed it up as well. Don't trust delivery apps, just go get it and save the money.

Tip for consumers:
DON'T DO IT!!!!!

Products used:
None, she gave my food to some other sole and left me starving, and still got to keep the tip! Ain't that the kicker!

It is overwhelmingly incomprehensible how negligent their staff and drivers are. In spite of the many years as a loyal customer to their brand and service. I have a track record for using Grubhub services twice per week, on average. I have been a consistent and loyal customer of Grubhub and I have yet received any consideration from them to rectify the poor service, incorrect deliveries, slow drivers, and mediocre customer support. These issues occurred even prior to the recent acquisition by Just Eat Takeaway and I anticipate will continue to perpetuate even under this new European brand. This is why I am officially ending my membership and business with GrubHub.

The competition in the food delivery space is increasing exponentially and it baffles me to see such mediocre care for good customers by GrubHub knowing the insurmountable risk that surrounds the company and its workforce.

After over 8 years of consistent customer loyalty I hereby discontinue and disengage from conducting any form of business as a customer and as of this upcoming Monday I will dissolve all my GRUB stocks.

I encourage you all to follow my direction.

**** HORRIBLE! I ordered my food an hour ago or so, and the restaurant made my meal fairly quickly. HOWEVER, the DRIVER has STILL NOT SHOWN UP to pick up my food. As a result, the owner is having to take me my food, so I can AVOID a 1.5 HOUR WAIT. Now it will be 1 hour and 10 minutes. I will NEVER use this service again. UNRELIABLE! I live in Kirkland, WA. And was trying to order Thai Food. ****

Waste of money and time. Restaurant is 5 min away. I am stuck in the office. 2 hours estimated time to get food and I cannot cancel the order because I do not have an account. Last purchase ever.

Going on 2 hours and 13 minutes and still waiting. The place is less than 2 miles away, does it take grubhub an hour a mile? Worst service ever. First and last time I ever use grubhub never again.

I ordered from a chinese place. It said it would arrive around 6:30pm-6:54pm... 6:54pm rolls around and my "delivery is late." i walk downstairs all the way to the lobby and look out the door. And what do i see sitting there? My order. Which i wasn't aware was even coming yet not had i even known it had arrived or how long it had been there. If i hadn't walked downstairs to happen to look i'd have never even known it was there.

DO NOT ORDER FROM EAT24. I have tried them several times. They do not have up to date information or good working relationships with the businesses they work with. HORRRRIIBLE. Waited an hour and a half when they said it would take 30-45min. I also requested for them to bring change bc i only had a 100 dollar bill. Of course they did not. USE GRUBHUB. At least if GRUBHUB screws up... they credit you money.

Had two orders that delivered fine, but this last one was a CRITICAL FAILURE! Waited almost two hours for an order that was stuck on "in the works". Never have I had such piss poor service before.The help chat was no better, often kicking me off of it for no reason until a kind hearted woman solved my problem, canceled the order and issued a full refund to me. $#*! GRUB HUB! Even if Door Dash has fewer places to order from, they Never $#*!ed up my orders.

Grubhub is worth $7.38 BILLION and my children went to bed starving tonight because Grubhub cancelled my order and won't give me my money for 5-7 business days."The order was cancelled by the store but the store isn's answering the phone but that I could try calling. The nerve. She tried to tell me it was a third party service so she has no contact info for the store. THEN WHAT AM I PAYING YOU TO DO? That's the whole point of the service.

They literally left my three little boys and I with no food and no money tonight for no fault of our own. $140 was stolen out of bank by Grubhub, a $7.38 BILLION company. That's called THEFT. Grubhub is corrupt and criminal and is rated a C- on the BBB. They have thousands of complains about the despicable treatment and blatant abuse of unchecked charges. 59 complaints this MONTH that mention children not eating because this.

Grubhub is charging for completely inaccurate orders, and flagging you for no fault of your own if you complain. They purposefully make it nearly impossible to reach a live agent and when you do, they offer a $5 coupon instead of a refund, and hang up on you. There is no contact number listed on the site and you have to scour the internet just to find it. Instead of holding themselves and their employees accountable they will intentionally steal your money knowing you have no other option to feed your children.

I tried to order at five guy i started my order at 4:50 at 4:55 they said they was close which i called five guys and they said they dont close to 7:30 and than when i call to cancle my order they was rude they inconfindent they useless i wouldnt recommended them to anyone i would say whatever you do stay away from stupid $#*! grub hug rating actually - 20 stars
