“Fees increase after delivery”

Check your receipts. Past month Grubhub has been increasing service fee after order delivered when charge posts to account. Food price, tax and tip stay same, but their service fee increases. For example when orders placed fee $4. Final charge then $4.80. How is this not illegal? Beware!

I placed my order at 10 am and scheduled it for pick up at 2 pm. I got two messages that the delivery was delayed, but coming. I texted the driver to find out the reason for the delay and I got a text from GRUBHUB stating that my order was cancelled and fully refunded. I called the restaurant to see if they could explain what happened and they stated the delivery driver tried to pay for the food using the card provided by the company and the card DECLINED TWICE! They need new management.

I ordered food only to be told and hour later there were no drivers in my area to deliver what I ordered. Oh, after I've was already charged of course.

I have ordered from GrubHub a few times. And every time the food comes late, cold and way overcharged. And that's if it even shows up to the right door.

Will never use this service after the liberal CEO A-hole made it clear that if you didn't vote his way you should be fired. He should be prosecuted for profiling.

I work in a very easily accessible building on campus at Purdue University. Today, I ordered lunch because I was unable to pack one - my mistake. The driver *sat* in their car outside of my building (I could see them in the 'convenient' track my order map) for over 15 minutes before marking my order as delivered. I did 3 full laps of my building in search of my food and never found it. I call Grubhub, asking for help. And they inform me that the driver said my order was "undeliverable".

Keeping in mind, this building has FOUR possible doors, free two hour parking off the main street, AND a roundabout drop off area to the west of the building. Additionally, I put in the instructions to text/call me if there were issues (neither of which happened). ALSO, I tried contacting the driver when I saw them sitting there for 15 mins and the phone number they linked was a fake. And, to top that off, they were supposed to text me and confirm the order was delivered, which they didn't despite marking the order as delivered (and subsequently telling grubhub it was undeliverable).

I did get a refund, but that doesn't help me as I really wanted my *food* since I have none for lunch today. Overall, displeased with Grubhub and wanted them to know they should be ASHAMED of the way this driver behaved. Feels like they wanted my food for themselves and, rather than order their own, stole mine and marked it "undeliverable". I hope they really needed the food, because I'll never order from grub hub again if I can help it.

Tip for consumers:
Don't bother. There are plenty of ways to order food, grub hub is garbage and I will never use them again if I can avoid it.

Received credit card bill and was charged twice for my food.
Been in dispute for two months. What a hassle.

The delivery people have been consistently rude and when you chat to voice your complaint they really don't care. All you get is "Sorry". They don't take action on anything.

Was told they would submit for another order. They lied. Supposedly I'm getting a refund now but I've spent hours waiting for this food and contacting customer service for nothing.

I order food through grubhub and the food never arrived even though the website said it was delivered. I call them and they tell me the driver knocked on the door. Complete crap! Not once did anyone knock on the door, I was constantly checking outside the window to see if they arrived and nobody came to my apartment and knocked on the door. I asked for a refund and not only do I have to wait for a few days for them to refund my $21, I'm left with no food and have to wait for them to refund my money. They either delivered to the wrong address or the driver never showed maybe because he was pissed I didn't leave a tip but I was using a visa gift card that only had $21.35 left and could not leave a tip. Either way I AM NEVER ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN.

Late food, missing items, cold as ice. The restaurant didn't even receive my full order. Driver wanted to know what my problem was, because I wasn't charged for the missing parts. But I was charged for the tip which they didn't deserve! Tips are for good service and theirs is the worst.! Couldn't even find a way to complain. Instead they kept trying to get me to work for them. Will never use them again. DON'T FALL FOR THEIR SCAM TO STEAL YOUR MONEY!

I have NEVER written a review before but this experience was so awful I feel like I need to share my story in order to protect people "out there".

I ordered food at 6:30pm last night. The estimate quote said the foot would arrive at 8:10pm. That in itself was a little shock. Anyway, I dealt with it.

At 8:40pm I STILL did not have food. I called the restaurant and the to-go server said that she had never received an order for me via Eat24. I called Eat24, was placed on hold for about five minutes, and then was told that the driver was three minutes away. 10 minutes later, the driver arrived with my food. It was ICE COLD. My guess is that the order was placed at 6:30pm and that the driver was making other deliveries until 9:00pm.

I'm very pissed. I will NEVER use this company again and I will make sure no one I know will use it either.

I have used this service 3 times, and they managed to screw up my food order all 3 times. First time: I received someone else's food order. Second time: I received half of my order (half was left sitting on the counter at the restaurant and I had to call the restaurant to correct the situation myself- Grub Hub customer service did not take any action on their own). Third time: Order was delivered to the wrong address (not even close to me). In all 3 cases, the ONLY resolution offered was a full refund (customer service could not order a replacement). On the last order, it was too late to place a second (replacement) order due to the restaurant operating hours. And if that was not bad enough, the hold music for Grub Hub customer care is absolutely mind-numbing. I called and was left on hold for 23 minutes, so I hung up and called back and got an answer within 30 seconds... not a very good performance average... Conclusion: Don't waste your time with Grub Hub. Use another food delivery service and save yourself a lot of grief (an lost lunch hours).

You will be charged for things you didn't agree to. You can complete your order and then suddenly get another charge on your credit card for a higher price, even though you didn't have any special requests, or ask for any changes to menu items. They will just quote and charge you one price, and then make more charges on your credit card afterward!

Delivery fees are ALWAYS misleading. They say one thing in the menu, then when you order the delivery charges can be $5-$7 more than quoted. They don't even have the contact information for all their restaurants, so if the restaurant brings you the wrong food by mistake, they will not be able to fix the problem.

When you try to chat online with customer service, customer service does not respond. When you try to call in, you will probably be on hold for more than 5 minutes. This is the worst service ever! 2 bad experiences, 2 days in a row! That is enough for me to go back to using eat24.com. Eat24 will always fix mistakes, answer chats, answer the phone, and they give weekly coupons, never quote one price and then charge you more, and their delivery fees are always exactly as quoted in the menu.

Grubhub is horrible. I wish there was a way to give 0 Stars. We ordered our meal from KFC at 7:13 p.m. on Mother's Day. The confirmation email said it would be delivered at 8:19 p.m. then we got another email that said it would be delivered at 8:24 p.m. at 8:50 p.m. I called KFC to find out that it had not even been picked up yet. I called GrubHub and after three people finally got a manager to talk to me about my order. He said that the driver had picked it up at 8:52 p.m. at which I told him about the other emails. Then I thought to have him hold and I called the manager KFC by this time it's 9:15 p.m. and she confirmed that the driver had not picked it up yet. At this point there is nothing that the GrubHub manager could say or do he obviously has drivers that cannot be counted on and drivers that lie. Now after reading the other reviews I understand why GrubHub has two stars. I will never use them again and neither should you. On the upside the manager Kentucky Fried Chicken made sure that we had a hot meal for the family and did not charge us for it

Placed order with Grub Hub for Calif Pizza Kitchen in Beverly Hills and delivery was confirmed for 20-30 minutes. Grub Hub driver did not show up at CPK for one and a half hours. Food arrived over two hours after ordered.

I Hate my boyfriend ordering through the Grubhub. Stupid Grubhub driver Emily who worked in SF delivered wrong place and we can't even text her or call her to explain she delivered wrong place. We should talk through help chat only. I'm so starving now $#*!ing disappointed to get food. And we should reorder food agian… we gonna order through uber eat.
Uber eat never make this stupid mistake ever.

We have to wait another 45min to get our dinner at 8:45pm since I skipped lunch at work.

I'm soo hangry at driver Emily now

I wish I could talk to her and yelling at her at least.

Busy day at the office so I order some Indian food. They say it will be here around 12:45. Great. At 1:00 I start thinking wow where is my food, I'm starving! I track my order on the Grub Hub site, and wow it says it was delivered at 12:28. I go up to the reception desk, nope, not there. Receptionist calls down to the building lobby, no not there. I call Grub Hub and she informs me that the driver tried calling my cell at 12:30 and because he didn't reach me (because, you know, I was busy at work) he decided not to deliver the order. Because the point of ordering online and giving them my address to a building they can walk into and deliver stuff to is to make things MORE complicated and LESS convenient. Oh, and they won't refund the money. So I ask to talk to a supervisor and I'm currently on hold (it is now 1:20) and holding, and holding and holding. I guess they don't want me talking to a supervisor. So I'm leaving this review as well as reviews on every review site I can find and I'm disputing the transaction with my credit card. Grub Hub gets a big middle finger for this one.

Total waste of time! If I could give the site a half star I definitely would. This was my first time ordering with GrubHub and it will definitely be my last time. I placed an order for $65 worth of food from a restaurant at 6:30 PM. I was notified by GrubHub that my food was going to be late, then I was notified that my food had been picked up, that I was notified that my driver was on the way and will be there with my food soon. At 8:00 PM I received a phone call from the restaurant that I ordered the fruit from letting me know that my driver never actually picked up my food, and they were closing so I would not be getting my food at all. They had tried contacting my driver several times before they closed to see if she was coming to pick up my order and she never answered her phone. I tried calling the driver to see where she was at and she never answered my phone call either. I waited for an hour and a half to end up with no food at all and having to cancel my order. Had I not been notified by the actual restaurant I would've been waiting around for forever with no food that was coming. When I contacted customer Service all they did was apologize and tell me that they would work on that. Now I have to wait five days to get my $65 back for their stupid driver. I am beyond disgusted with their customer service, the lack of caring from their customer service, and the fact that I never actually got my food! Definitely would not recommend using GrubHub at all. It's way more worth it to just drive to the restaurant yourself and pick it up.

I generally don't care much to write reviews or be upset when companies make mistakes because we are all human. However, GrubHub has given me the worst experience in my entire life. I have a autoimmune disease that effects my entire body some days I literally can't leave my bed. So I'll order dinner. I waited 2 hours. No big deal I'm paying to get food there busy I get it. It gets here. It's a just plain kids cheeseburger with no patty in a bag. I ordered food for my entire family, 52$ worth. I call GrubHub thinking they would fix the mistake and give me a refund. They refuse to give me my refund. Because this has happened three times. Everytime, food is cold, it's not what I ordered, or it's missing things. HOW IS IT MY FAULT THIS HAS HAPPENED OVER AND OVER? I HAVE BOTH RECEIPTS. I can send pictures of everything! Nothing matches. Everything is ice cold Like it's been sitting outside. Everytime I order. So now I'm out 52$, no food, so sick I can't move, and just in absolute tears. I got the worst news about my kidney failing today and I just wanted to eat since I'm so sick I can't cook for myself. Do not buy stuff from here, it's a total headache. Especially if your sick and just trying to have a simple night!

As a former employee of grubbing let me throw some facts out there. When you call into gh first dont attack the employees as they are just doing their job and following grubhubs policy. Secondly, I see a lot of people complain that gh wont give them a refund because the customer themselves missed the delivery. GH does NOT refund you for missed deliveries when you dont answer your phone or the door... the restaurant STILL NEEDS TO GET PAID and there is no reason gh should have to take the hit because you ordered food and decided not to answer.

I have never used grubhub and someone else used my name and phone number I received a threatening phone call from a grubhub delivery person I even got done explaining that my name was used on someone else's account I have no idea on who to report this too I most will never ever use this service.

Worst service EVER! I ordered KFC delivery which uses GrubHub. Ordered at 4pm and at 6pm, no delivery yet so i called the 888 number. They said it will be another hour which would be 7pm. At 8pm, no delivery so i called 888 number again. They said it will be another 1/2 hour which would be 7:30pm. At 9:00pm i called and cancelled the order. Drove to my local KFC and they didn't have any chicken left. It took 5 hours and no delivery... 2 days and my credit card still has not been credited.

I JUST MOVED AND WANTED DELIVERY TO MY NEW PLACE, THE ORDER WAS LATE, COLD AND DID NOT HAVE ALL THE ITEMS. I WAS TOLD I WOULD RECEIVE A REFUND, WAS SENT AN EMAIL! YET NO REFUND IN MY BANK.

TWO DAYS LATER I GET A CALL FROM SECURITY STATING THAT MY DEBIT CARD WAS BEING USED AND BASICALLY THE PHOTO I TOOK WITH THE AP ALLOWED SOMEONE IN CANADA TO USE MY DEBIT CARD.

GRUBHUB CUSTOMER SERVICE - JERRY! AFTER TELLING THIS IDIOT THAT MY CARD WAS USED AND STOLEN FROM THE AP HE PROCEEDED TO NOT BE HELPFUL AND MADE ME EVEN MORE UPSET, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I HATE GRUBHUB!

It's just too unreliable. We once had a driver take our order no joke 10 times in the opposite direction of where we live and was well over 2 hours late before we had to cancel the order.

According to the website it was actually going to take 3 hours. The restaurant is 3 miles away and closes before I would have gotten my food. I will NEVER use grub hub again.
