“Fees increase after delivery”

Check your receipts. Past month Grubhub has been increasing service fee after order delivered when charge posts to account. Food price, tax and tip stay same, but their service fee increases. For example when orders placed fee $4. Final charge then $4.80. How is this not illegal? Beware!

If i could give zero stars I could. Grubhub accepted and charged me for an order then calls me to say the menu item is no longer available. Spoke to the "owner" at was called JDykes Food court who didn't seem to have a real care or concern at all. She said there was nothing she could do (you sale what I ordered but tell me you have no affiliation with GrubHub SO there's NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT). BOTH entities are seemingly only looking out for themselves & the money they make.

It will take 1 to 3 BUSINESS DAYS (and today is Friday) to get my refund but $45 was spent on diner for my family TONIGHT! WTF... are we suppose to wait til NEXT WEDNESDAY TO EAT? How am I suppose to feed my family TONIGHT?

Don't use GrubHub or order from JDykes (are whatever name they changed it to at 4901 Yale)

Was charged $28 for food that I never recieved. I'll just drive and get my own food next time or order from somewhere that doesn't use Grubhub as a delivery service.

You cannot trust their drivers you have to worry the whole time you are waiting for the food I cannot walk and I
Give them exact directions but still they screw up putting me at risk for a fall my friend owes a restaurant and I see the drivers most are broken down spoked

LESS THAN 0. GRUBHUB IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST AND SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE TO DO BUSINESS IN SAN DIEGO. HORRIBLE customer service. HORRIBLE service. Driver delivered food to wrong address, and driver delivered my order with no face mask or latex gloves on in Covid-19 pandemic. We threw out food, and I IMMEDIATELY contacted GrubHub on app to request refund. GRUBHUB's phone persons are very unprofessional and cons. GrubHub makes you think they will refund by generating a complaint number but NEVER refunds. They string you along. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

My first time ordering from Grub Hub was not a good experience. I've been loyal to Door Dash and they're usually pretty good with orders arriving on time and hot. Today, I chose Grub Hub since the restaurant I wanted wasn't offered with Door Dash. I was told my order would take over an hour to get here, no biggie, I can wait. I now realize its because Grub Hub waited to pick up my order. My food arrived cold, as if it had been sitting around for an hour, which leads me to my assumption that it wasn't picked up until almost an hour after placing my order. If restaurants start my order upon it being sent through the system, then Grub Hub needs to have a driver there within a reasonable amount of time so the food isn't cold. The best customer service would do is offer me a $10 off coupon, as if I'll ever order from them again. If this were Door Dash, they'd probably refund my entire order. Door Dash is WAY BETTER than Grub Hub. Seriously, don't waste your time if you want a warm meal. It seems that cold food is a common complaint with this company. I paid $47 for 2 Waffle House breakfasts with a large coffee. That was $25 of food and $22 worth of fees, tax, and tip. I'll try to hide my shock when Grub Hub inevitably tanks one day. What a waste. Never again!

They double the price of your order, and then try to turn you into a saleable commodity to their list servers. Screw these jerks, take back your takeout.

I used to order from this company all the time. However, anymore, I would not recommend. The last 3 times have been awful. I ordered from them and didn't get two of my items, they issued a refund supposedly that I never got. The time before last, I ordered. The driver I got was on the other side of town, she went and delivered another order. It had been an our and 20 minutes at this point so i messaged to get an estimate on the order and was told that they had to cancel because now it was to late for them to pick up the order. Still waiting on that refund. They gave me a half off coupon on top of it. I ordered again tonight, using their coupon. I watched the driver pull into a diff fast food place, then sit in the parking lot for 10 minutes. He then drove over to the place I ordered, sat there for 15 minutes, and then listed my order as delivered. I contact customer support and just get an apology and then am told they will have to cancel my order. Why? Again a wait over an hour for an order I never got. Its ridiculous. Door dash has far superior customer service and I haven't had a problem with them not delivering!

This is by far the worst food delivery service. Each time I order, the order doesn't go through to the restaurant. When I call GrubHub they say that they fixed the problem, but they don't fix it. They emailed me this:

"After careful inspection, we have determined what kept your order from processing and have corrected this error. Please go ahead and order again.
Best,
Grubhub Advanced Transaction Review"

When I tried to use the service it was terrible, with the amount of time/effort I had to put in to get my order delivered, would have been easier and cheaper to pick it up myself. To top it all off, CEO Matt Maloney willfully and openly discriminates against employees with opposing political beliefs, creating a HUGE LEGAL LIABILITY for this public company! Lawyers looking for a good class-action payday need to jump on this one, legit hostile work environment and discrimination case with evidence all over the internet!

Hard to believe that a food restaurant delivery service could be this bad. Five minutes (yes 5) before food is supposed to arrive, I got a phone call saying that GH is cancelling our order because they didn't know that t'he restaurant was closed.' this is beyond incompetent and i am left with no dinner to serve in a little while. Grubhub should really close down and let CAVIAR, EAT 24, MUCHERY, etc, take over; they are all well run and provide excellent customer service. GOOD BYE GRUBHUB; we'll not use your service in the future. Your incompetence is inexcusable.

Long story short, don't with for this company! My main complaint is the new customer service Representatives that are outsourced in other countries. (not being biased or racist either, I'm an overly nice person and don't normally take time to write reviews, but I feel sorry for anyone who falls into working for them because they will be, well I'll just say it, Screwed over by GrubHub terribly). I have delivered food for GrubHub for 3 years now and just this past few months the company has completely changed. The customer service representatives for drivers have no idea what I'm talking about when I try to explain the simplest things they should know. Any questions I ask them, no understandable answer! They are very hard to understand when they speak to me. About half of them don't know what I'm talking about and the questions I'm asking! I could go on and on and on but if you don't believe me see for yourself. You will have the worst experience working for this company. And the pay has gone down completely much less than they used to pay. And they do not reimburse you for parking also. I could go on and on but they are not worth my time. Again, trust me, I worked for them for 3 years!

It used to be good until they leaked personal info out and CCs and info were stolen. The customer service people always have an Attitude and then place you on hold for 20 mins or longer with Terrible Music blasting in your ears.

I loved when Grubhub would give you a chance to play the game and win a free drink or 10 percent off your next meal. Foodler wins with doing the Pts and getting items.

IDK what else to say but sometimes its the Restaurants and not GRUBHUB but 60 percent of the time Grubhub is either down, does something stupid and doesnt palce your order or they Lie to you over the phone and say its on the way but in reality the order comes 50 mins later.

Grubhub does not help. We had issues with our orders which the drivers got lost being confused by the Grubhub's map showing our house was in a complete different neighbourhood, a couple of miles away. Each time we spoke with the driver over the phone to navigate the driver. One of the drivers figured it out on his own. They were rushing in anxiety feeling bad as the food got colder, we felt bad and ended up tipping them more money while our food got cold.
We understand the system errors and mistakes can happen, but when we reached out to the customer service twice and the issues did not get fixed. The second time, the representative wouldn't read our chat messages explaining and kept sending us the same manual message over and over again. After ordering a lot through them past a couple of months, we just signed up for a free delivery trial, but on the same day we cancelled it. We liked the lower price Grubhub offers but never mind that, we will go back to D******h with comfort, who has 200% better customer service. Rather spend a bit more dollars for better experiences and services. We also ended up spending more money to help out their drivers with Grubhub.

WILL PUT THROUGH ERRONEOUS CHARGES WHICH DEBIT FROM YOUR ACCOUNT AND MAKE YOU SEND 5-6 EMAILS TO GET THEM TO FIX THE PROBLEM, EVEN WITH SCREENSHOT PROOF FROM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT. A TOTAL SCAM! USE ANY DELIVERY APP EXCEOT THIS ONE!

Customer service is lousy. There was a mix up with the delivery address and the delivery person texted my son's phone number instead of mine saying he couldn't find us. I received a notice that my food had been delivered. It went elsewhere, not to my address. I tried contacting the delivery man by text and calling. I was unable to make contact. Also there was a glitch with the "grub hub help" button. I called the restaurant who were very nice but could do nothing. In desperation we ordered pizza. Meanwhile I got hold of grub hub virtual chat. That person said sorry but they can't refund the money. They would give me 50 percent off my next delivery. Oh boy! A refund of $2.25! I asked, " did you ask the delivery person where they dropped the food?" NO! "Did you ask what he did with the food. Ate it? Took it back to the restaurant? L. NO! So I spent $4.50 for delivery, plus I tipped the delivery man for an order I never received. I was out $36 and no food. I refused the 50 percent refund of the delivery charge on the grounds that I would not be using grub hub again. The response. "Okay, thank you. Have a nice day." They honestly didn't care about losing a customer.

Wish I would have read these reviews before ordering. First and last time I use this service. They are in the food delivery business, yes? Yet they could not find a driver for me. (And lots of others according to these reviews) Food sat getting cold when the restaurant finally called me to advise my food has been ready but called grub hub and was informed there was not a driver. Why let me order to begin with? Wait story is not over. I call to cancel the order as the kids fell asleep, hungry nonetheless. Ordered at 8:40pm. Called and Received cancelation email at 9:46pm. 11:05pm delivery guys is calling me that he is near. The restraunt closed at 9:30pm do you really think I want this Japanese food including sushi after being ordered at 8:48 and being told at 9:15 the order has been sitting ready waiting for a driver? No! Shove your food and your crappy service up yours! I will share my first experience and get word out to others to never use this service and check the reviews!

I ordered from Big Daddy's Pizza and entry thing was not only delicious and made perfectly the driver was polite and also ten minutes early! Would recommend it absolutely!

Literally the worst customer service. They also will not arrive within any time frame they tell you. Do not use, I would recommend Uber eats over Grubhub any day.

I'm lazy AF, hate cooking, hate cleaning even more. That being said, I love GrubHub! I've ordered as frequently as twice a week for years (sometimes LESS, but lets be real.) I'm perplexed at all these reviews that are so angry at Grubhub, most of them are funny to me. "The restaurant was two minutes walking distance, and it took 5000 hours for delivery!" LOL, walk, bro. I haven't had a single bad experience with grubhub. In fact, any time there's been an issue, the restaurant has called me personally to inform me of said issue (one time I ordered a chocolate milk and they were out of said product, calling to inform me they were refunding the cost of the drink). I'm not implying Grubhub doesn't have its issues, or that it didn't screw people over. But its frustrating that people only choose to leave reviews when they've had a negative experience with a concept/product/service that they've used successfully countless times before. If you use a product 20 times, and 19 times it's been great, is it fair to ONLY leave your review for the one time (5%, lol@ math) that it failed you?

So cheers to you, Grubhub, for sometimes being early, sometimes being late, but allowing delivery to places that I otherwise wouldn't have access to. Cheers to engaging in a thankless business where people $#*! about charges that are presented to them before they agree to pay! CHEERS to dealing with the $#*!ty public. 5 Stars.

I ordered from their site after being promised a $5 discount for my first transaction. This was not honored and I was basically accused of making it up. I will never use these people again.

It was our second time ordering from GrubHub the first time we picked up our order this time we had it delivered and we got 2 pizzas and they were made correctly and hot and fresh tasted really good delivery time was good too. However they do not pay attention to anything extra you put in the order details we said to please put 5 pizza sauces on the side and received none. Huge disappointment when you live for sauce and they don't even give you at least one lol it was extremely overpriced compared to door dash with taxes delivery fees etc. Also the website said we had a totally different driver than who actually delivered our order so if we even had a problem we wouldn't be able to contact them about it. Also the delivery driver was instructed to drop pizza off on front porch of apartment since we are in a pandemic rn but we walked out to come get it & he was walking away with our pizzas in his hand about to leave. If you are going to charge this much for the food delivery service etc. then at least hire reputable drivers that can read an order properly. So the people wont be disappointed with their order. So in all honestly would be better to order from door dash and save $20 the only reason we didn't do that was bc they don't have a section where you can special request sauce or other things on the side

Order food at 6:51 on the 26 august. Suppksec6to come at 7:27. Then got a text that it would be 7:47 to 7:51. Hour after ordering. Will review to let you know how food was.

I was ordering tacos for my pregnant wife from taco-bell while I was away from business She had a long day at work and I wanted To surprise her and after an hour wait time I was restless but nonetheless the tacos should have been there in time for my wife to enjoy a guilt free, relaxing dinner. They were late and I was continuously tracking. After the driver picked up my party pack of tacos after 45 minutes for what should have been a ten minute drive the tacos were marked delivered. I called my wife excited for her surprised reaction only to say she was empty handed. After numerous calls I was unable to get anywhere on locating my wife's tacos. I called grub hub only to be put on a bot. After awhile of fighting I finally got a representative only to say they don't know what happened. Grub hub needs to take more responsibility, it's more than people just ordering food because they don't want to drive and get it. My pregnant wife went to bed without eating dinner because I told her to wait. Absolute disgrace

We placed an order through GrubHub for the KFC on Crater Road in Petersburg, VA because it is so close to us. Not only was our order more than a half-hour late, but it was also incorrect. Instead of the 2 Diet Pepsi drinks I ordered, we received 1 regular Sprite-type beverage, which was definitely not good for my diabetic husband. Our chicken was wrong, and our sides were wrong or missing as well. In addition, our dessert order was non-existent. The driver was useless as far as customer service, as were the customer service people to whom I spoke on the phone. They were to replace and redeliver my order, but then they sent an email message refusing to do so, claiming that a restaurant that closes at 10 p.m. was closed at 8:02 p.m. This was completely unacceptable, and the only way to have satisfactorily fixed it was to have delivered our original order promptly and correctly, which they refused to do. They had plenty of time to have fixed it during the whole time period of this experience, yet they refused and resorted to lying about it. The fault lies with both KFC and GrubHub, and both had absolutely horrible customer service.
