“Fees increase after delivery”

Check your receipts. Past month Grubhub has been increasing service fee after order delivered when charge posts to account. Food price, tax and tip stay same, but their service fee increases. For example when orders placed fee $4. Final charge then $4.80. How is this not illegal? Beware!

Driver arrived with half the order
When i asked if he would return with the rest he replied to call the restaurant or call grubhub because he already had my money and doesn't work for me

KAI-LI Kitchen in East Setauket, NY is the best. From the time you enter their take out kitchen you are met with a freindly smile. They has matered the art of Fried Chicken Wings. Sorry Jumbo Fried Chicken Wings. Be sure to order a bag for yurself and each member at your dinner table. They are the best in the Three Village area. Not just their chicken wings, but all the foods offered. If you call it ready when you arrive. If you instead and drop in its not a month of Sundays before the food is ready. Check out their menu@ www.kailikitchen.com. Located on 25A in East Setauket. The best food in the area. *******338 for great food with a wide smile.

This company has no problem taking your money charging huge fees and not taking responsibility for their errors. I placed the order and payed. The driver goes to pick up the order which they personally (the driver) have placed on your behalf. She takes it upon herself to change the order to much less and cheaper food then drops it off. She leaves before you can check it. Restaurant confirmed driver ordered the wrong items. Grub hub wanted us to call the driver and work it out. When we told them that fixing this and working it out with their hired employee is not our responsibility. Long story short food ordered to get 5 people, just under 60 bucks, good received 4 orders of the cheapest item on the menu. Company response you can wait 5 business days for them to fix it as they are unable to correct the order or reorder what should have came. Must be nice to be able blow money like that and not worry. I personally do not have the money to do that. This was a special treat for us and grubhubs inability to provide the service I paid for means not everyone got to eat and those who did couldn't even fill up on what was delivered. Shame in you grab hub.

First off 4 out 5 resturants deliver on their own. So. Why pay and fee GH to do it and wait triple the time. Their "deep fried crystal ball" is never right and Im sorry 7:05-815 is a REDICULOUS time window. Basically GRUBHUB SUCKS! Try Seamless or Eat24 theyre more honest at least. Sorrry grubhub you suck and your crystal ball

I am posting this because of the HORRIBLE service I have received from Grubhub once again. I called 2 hours ago and placed an order for delivery. Before I placed the order I called the restaurant just to make sure they were available, open and able to get an order from Grubhub for delivery today as it is Thanksgiving. They stated they will be open and able to accept the order. So 2 hours nothing came and I had to contact Grubhub to inquire as to where my order was.

So the agent went into his computer and stated the restaurant was closed. That is a lie. He tried to say that is why the food never came. Even if that was true they should have called me and told me that the restaurant was not going to be able to fill my order and that I should try something else. If I had not called them they would never have contacted me via email, call or text.

Instead I got an email and text stating that my order should arrive in about 1 hour. So just to make sure I called the restaurant after getting off the phone with their agent and the restaurant confirmed that the order could have been placed with no problem and been delivered.

This is not the first time Grubhub has dropped the ball with me or other people as you can see by the reviews about their company. The last time I used them the same thing happened and I swore I would never use them again. That was a long time ago so I decided to give them 1 more try. What a mistake that was! Never ever again will use them for any type of order and I suggest that no one ever uses them either or you may have the same crappy service I have had.

Being single working mom I was looking for and app myself and my children at home during this pandemic to be able to feed my children while I'm working all day I decided to go with grub hub for of course the FIRST FREE ORDER but obviously wasn't went the charged my card $20 for a $10 special and free delivery. Never again im my life will I be using grubhub ever. I sent them the proof and screen shot 4 different times and nothing sorry $#*! company. Definitely making a complaint to the Better Business Beareu.

After reading some complaints I'd like to clarify some issues for some who may not understand. If you don't tip or leave a low tip, your order will bounce around from driver to driver until someone finally accepts it. By this time it's already late and sitting at the restaurant getting cold. The driver who brought it to you is in no way to blame for this. If your order is wrong, too oily, too salty ect, that is the restaurant and not the driver's issue. The driver is handed a sealed bag a majority of the time. They won't open it and then go open all of your containers to inspect your food. That's silly. Total shocker here but guess what, sometimes GPS is wrong. Keep in mind that the drivers aren't employees and likely don't earn an hourly wage. They rely on tips and are paying for their own gas plus wearing down their car. As the website states, and this goes with any delivery service, tip at least $5. If the food is a decent drive away, tip more. If you live in an apartment or upstairs, tip a little more. If you want to be prioritized then give a nice tip. They're not charity workers.

I have been using Grubhub for 4 years now and never had a problem until 2022. People write about bad customer service, however I always had really good customer service experience until recently. Any time there was missing items or due to food allergies I would contact them and they would fix the problem by either giving me a refund for the item missing or the item that was prepared incorrectly. Well on February 9th I ordered from McDonald's and some of my food was missing. I contacted customer support and they said there was a block on my account from receiving to many refunds. I was ordering about 7 to 8 times per month and would have a problem maybe once or twice if that. But there was a block on my account and so they recommended contacting my bank which I did. Now I have a full block on my account and can not order from them even. They say someone will get back to me within 24-48 hours, however I am still waiting for someone to get back to me about the problem I encountered on February 9th. To put it simply, Grubhub can be a good place to order food, but if there ends up being a problem good luck getting the support needed to fix said problem.

Last night we waited almost two hours for our food before cancelling. We get it. We're in a pandemic and restaurants are overwhelmed and perhaps GrubHub doesn't have enough drivers. That is the only thing we could think of last night as our food was at first 30 minutes late. Then a notification for an hour. Then 90 minutes. And eventually when they said our meals would arrive at 8:30 pm, when I put the order in at 6:30 pm we decided to cancel. Our baby needed to go to bed, my husband was starving, so he made a run for Taco Bell and we were ticked. I talked to GrubHub that apologized and only offered to either have the food delivered still in 30minutes, or they could refund me the money and the food would stay at the restaurant. As a business owner myself who deals with customers everyday I'll say that a better response to our complaint would of been to have the food delivered and they'd refund us some money for our wasted time. 25% would of been fine. Even 20%. On a 76.00 older that's only 14.00. But those were are only two options. Refund or pay in full. Horrible customer service. We live in Boulder and have another company called HungryBuffs which we'll be returning to. They are family owned and also alert the customer if there's not enough drivers and to put their order in later so they're not surprised in having to wait. I do not recommend Grubhub, simply cause of their response which was very unprofessional and selfish.

One time, the driver couldn't find my place even when I was in constant communication and texting explicit directions AND was waiting outside! Driver was about two buildings away and just left. And was extremely rude to boot!

Tonight, no power so I can't cook, ordered Coletti's at 6:37, delivery time of 7:37, and at 7:30 the little delivery car disappeared from the map and my order was marked 'skipped'.

I called Colletti's and the owner said they never received the order, but offered to make it right away (a 10 minute wait) …but the driver left!

I couldn't reorder because the place was closed.

Kudos to the owner of Coletti's for answering his phone after closing, and was very nice on the phone! I highly recommend this restaurant. Just go pick your pies up yourself, otherwise there's a great chance you won't get them!

It certainly not the pizza place, it's totally GrubHub.

Stick to DoorDash or pick it up yourself.

Otherwise you'll have no meal.

Zero, zilch, nada chance I'll try GrubHub in the future.

Good luck if you do. Have a 'plan b'!

This is the worst place to order food from. I'm traveling with a child and orderEd my food at 6:59PM, with a guaranteed delivery time of 8:25 p.m. At 8:40 I called to inquire about my food and they said it would be an additional 10 minutes, and they gave me a $10 coupon towards my next order(of which will NEVER happen), at 9:10 I called again and they said the driver would be there any minute. I called again 30 minutes later and they said the driver is pulling up now, keep in mind I was standing in front of the hotel in downtown Seattle at this time. So I took it upon myself to call the restaurant directly, of which after getting the run around with them they hung up on me. It is now 4 hours later and I still have not received my food. & I dare them to arrive with cold food and have the nerve to charge me $50. There will be hell in the city if that happens. This place should not be in business if they cannot deliver what they promise they will deliver. I had better see a refund on my card, or the Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau would be the least of their worries. It is the reason why this place will not last long. It is not right that people come to travel and they don't have rental cars and they depend on places like this to feed their families and instead of giving them what they paid for, they give him the runaround and offer no compensation. Word to the warning just go and get your food yourself.

Order food was given a driver and told food was being prepared. After predicted delivery time was pushed back twice contacted restaurant they never received order. Contacted grubhub refused to give me a reason why and said it would be ready in 20 and driver was on the way. 25 minutes later called the restaurant again said they had orders from GrubHub but not ours. The GrubHub rep disconnected with me before it was resolved. Contacted them again and they gave a different excuse that they have no dispatch delivery person even they gave me a guy's name, info, and location over an hour ago. Couldn't confirm anything said order was sent again but restaurant said they never got it. GrubHub continued to lie and say no driver even tho they gave me someone personal pico and location and name for a driver. Refused to give more info and when I asked for higher up or someone that could explain why I was getting different answers and waiting two hours for a drive thru restaurant they said they had no higher up to contact. By the way I said to speak to 3 reps because they kept disconnecting why they believed I didn't have a problem. I waited until midnight for dinner and had to order elsewhere. Since was never given and answer or a higher up. Worst service I've ever experienced.

What the CEO 's email meant to me was - I AM AN INTOLERANT LIBERAL IDIOT and if you do not agree with me, I do NOT WANT your business!

You got it - I WILL NO LONGER USE GRUBHUB!

I sent my sister some food via Grub Hub and they strung us along the entire evening, until finally cancelling the order hours later with no explanation. I called the next day to find out what happened and they "looked into my issue" and finally told me that the restaurant had closed early and that was the reason they couldn't deliver. Since no restaurant would "close early" with outstanding orders, and Grub Hub had shared a number of emails throughout the evening with new ETA's, the story did not hold water. I called the restaurant and found out that they did not close early and had been open until 10pm that night. Grub Hub seems to be an organization that lies to customers, throws it's restaurant partners under the bus to cover their shoddy service, and quits early for the night without a thought as to who's plans they might be ruining by simply cancelling the order on their own whim when they don't feel like following through. From the multiple complaints I see listed here, this organization doesn't stand a chance against the new upstart competitors (Door Dash, etc) that understand this is a service business.

For the third time, and the last two orders in a row a driver has put my order down as delivered and has failed to show up at all. When we call customer service they call the driver, they say they tried to deliver but couldn't. We have been watching and waiting for them there has been no call and no text from the driver. And they report it as delivered which is a lie. So essentially they keep our food or money gets refunded and we have to start all over again and re-order. GrubHub does nothing to make the driver return with the food they just make some lame apology and say they're going to issue a credit for your inconvenience to use on a future order which we never seem to get And they report it as delivered which is a lie. Absolutely terrible customer service! Very rude... We love the restaurant we chose... we order from it regularly, this is the first time we used grub hub. Thought it would be quicker and more conveniet and we were offered a coupon. Well the Coupon didn't work, I called them and was told they could not apply it and they gave no options for us to use it another time because grub hub only offers it for first time customers and now we wouldn't be a new customer anymore since we just placed our first order! If u ask me I think they do this on purpose to get a percentage of your total and not have to honor their coupon... it's smart if they really don't care that your never going to use their service again Horrible business ethics... Total scam. Looks like they're burning bridges everywhere the only positive is our restaurant disconnected with them when I told them what had happened because they don't need to give them any of their profits when it could very well be costing them business by doing so.

I've used grub hub religiously. Even after they discontinued the much loved rummy game. I continued to use their service. Without a hitch. However, this pat weeks experience has made me completely refuse to use the app. I ordered food via their app. Was charged on my credit card. I didn't get any call. So, I decided to just check my email. Thankfully I did. I Recieved an email stating that my order couldn't be processed. I call grubhub WHO CHARGED ME FOR FOOD I WASNT RECEIVING. I ask why it was cancelled without any call. I was told I HAVE TO WAIT TWO DAYS FOR AN EXPLANATION AND UP TO FOUR DAYS FOR A REFUND?! Seriously. No apology. No attempt to remedy the situation. Basically we took your money and now you have to wait without a reason why. I will never use them again. Seamless, I'm back.

DO NOT GO TO THEM. I ORDED FROM THEM THEN THE NEXT DAY I HAD 6 DIFFERENT TRANSACTIONS OF 1 DOLLAR THEN ANDOTHER TRANSACTION OR 23.05 MY INITIAL PAYMENT WAS ONLY SUPPOSE TO BE 29 DOLLARS AND WHEN I CALLED THE GRUB HIB CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY SAID COMPLETE BULL $#*! AND TRIED TO BLAME IT ON ME. NEEDLESS TO THE DISPUTE PROCESS PISSED ME OFF!

I ORDERED MY FOOD AT 10:38AM! I GOT NO UPDATES FROM MY DRIVER. THEN HE TEXTED ME 2 HOURS LATER TO TELL ME THAT HE DELIVERED MY FOOD TO THE WRONG ADDRESS! THEN WHEN I TOLD HIM WHERE I WORKED, HE NEVER RESPONDED AND BLOCKED ME! I CALLED GRUBHUB AND THE LADY PUT ME ON HOLD FOR 15 MINUTES JUST TO CALL BACK AND SAY, "WE REFUNDED YOU. ANYTHING ELSE I CAN DO FOR YOU?" THIS IS RIDICULOUS

I ordered my food for delivery. Waited 2 hrs then called restaurant they said no one came to pick up. I called grubhub they said restaurant delivery service ia supposed to deliver. I called restaurant again and they said it is through grubhub. I called grubbub second time Nd they said oh yes it was delivery order. I said I will pick up the food bevause guests were waiting but they needed to refund the order amount. They just refusned delivery and tip fee that was not even theirs bevause they didnt deliver. They said max they could do it $10 guarantee perks. They are horrrrible. My guests waited 2 hours for cold food. It was embarrassing

I placed a order that never arrived, called the restaurant and they were closed I called Grubhub and they canceled the order but said they couldn't refund my order upon talking to customer service they couldn't do anything and then insisted I was not receiving my money back then when I asked for his info he lied about hours name and refused to give me any info about him to file a complaint and admitted they were stealing from me

At home sick with a cold and thought I would give Grub Hub a try since it is about 45 degrees outside. Called at 4:16 and was told it would arrive by 5:10.
At 5:30 I called grub hub to advise that the order had not arrived. As they stalled and said they would check it out, they sent me a $10 cerificate. They assured me it would be there by 5:44.
NOTHING! At 6:00 I cancelled my order!
Ten minutes later the guy shows up and I told him it was too late and to take it back. As I was closing the door he attempted to stop me from closing the door!

I WILL NEVER USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN. I WOULD SUGGEST YOU READ OTHER REVIEWS. I did not and I'm sorry I didn't.

Terrivle service! Have been waiting 2 hours so far and have yet to get my food! It keeps pushing the time our 20 mins every 30 mins! I have never had this problem with Doordarshan! The only reason I used grubhub was because I could not get on my Doordash account! NEVER EVER AGAIN! THERE IS NO WAY TO CANCEL YOUR ORDER SO YOU ARE SCREWED! GRUBHUB you should be so ashamed! Please everyone DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!
