“Fees increase after delivery”

Check your receipts. Past month Grubhub has been increasing service fee after order delivered when charge posts to account. Food price, tax and tip stay same, but their service fee increases. For example when orders placed fee $4. Final charge then $4.80. How is this not illegal? Beware!

I placed a very large order for our staff meeting, they charged us for it, but never delivered. The restaurant never received the order and we had to scramble at the last minute to supply cold cuts for our staff to eat. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

This is how I found out that Grub Hub isn't a customer focused company. I ordered a dozen glazed kreme filled doughnuts from Krispy Kreme via Grub Hub. My contract is with Grub Hub at that point, not the restaurant. Yet when I recieved my food, late I might add. The doughnuts looked like they had been put through the ringer and four of the doughnuts didn't have any kreme in them at all. I chatted with Grub Hub, spoke with two different agents and neither could get me a refund, this is after I provided picture proof as well. They said Krispy Kreme didn't want to give me my money back for not properly ensuring I got what I ordered. All they could offer is a dozen free doughnuts. Never mind the fact that we pay extra to get the food delivered to our door. Grub Hub said they couldn't offer a refund either with out the Restaurants approval. So when you do business with Grub Hub they're not guaranteeing you'll receive good service from the vendor you choose. They're not backing up their service with any type of refund policy for faulty orders. If the Restaurant says no, you're screwed. I'll never use them again and I'll never buy a Krispy Kreme doughnut as long as I live.

The only reason this deserves a 2 is because the customer service rep was kind enough to try to resolve the issue we had with the driver. My nursing team decided to order together for our friends birthday and our food didnt show up after and hour and a half from the order time. We called to check on our food order and the driver hung up on us, then we called back and she yelled and cursed us saying she couldnt find us or contact us and she wasnt coming back to deliver our food that she had already picked up from the restaurant. I can assure you we were polite and understanding and even offered to still tip her if she brought us our food, but she proceeded to curse and refuse to bring our food. So that lovely individual made out with $78 dollars worth of free food from Cancun. We are still waiting for our refund the customer service rep insured us we would get. They need a system to ensure the drivers are held accountable if things like this happened. I dont understand why someone in the customer service industry would curse a polite customer and keep their food. Im appalled. Ive never been talked to so dirty in my life.

Two hours after food was scheduled to arrive, their resolution was to cancel my order. So wait 3 hours for NO dinner tonight. I will NEVER order from them again #grubhubsucks

I voted Hillary; however, I will not support a business that threatens it's employee's for who they personally voted for. Their CEO comes off as a very evil and angry little man.

I placed a big order for my coworkers today that totaled over $100. When the delivery driver came he called me and I was unable to pick up the call right away but it took me only several minutes to call him back. The phone went straight to Google voice everytime I called. I then asked the front desk security guard if anyone had walked in and dropped off food, he said they didn; t. I contacted customer service and they told me that the driver had left and returned the food to the restaurant and that they could only give me a partial refund. This was even after I told them that I had tried to call him back and that no one had come into a public building to drop off food. I asked if there was any way the driver could drop off the food again or if we could pick up the food. Every solution I offered they were extremely unhelpful with. On top of all this, I called the restaurant to see if I could pick up the food that was returned and while the restaurant itself was really helpful they assured me that no food was returned. Customer service for Grubhub was not only unhelpful, they lied about the food being returned. I want a full refund.

So after ordering my food and going back and forth with customer reps, I was finally informed that Grub Hub doesn't actually deliver. They only order the food on your behalf after you order it through them.

Step 1: You order through Grub Hub.

Step 2: Grub Hub orders food through the restaurant.

Step 3: You stare at a useless app to find out when your food will eventually be cooked. But it's not actually very accurate, so... It's anyone's guess when and if your food will ever be ready.

Step 4: After chatting with customer reps for over a hour, you're eventually told that your food will not be delivered because you are supposed to pick it up yourself. (Apparently there's a very tiny descriptions somewhere on the site that I couldn't find.)

Step 5: You work a job where you can't actually just get up and leave when you want (and if I could I would just sit down and eat the freaking food in the restaurant), so you don't get to eat.

The end.

Except for the part where I'm trying to figure out why I can't just call the restaurant on my own to order the food through them instead of messing around with Grub Hub! I will NEVER order through Grub Hub ever again, and I highly recommend that no one else does either.

BUT WAIT! It gets even better. Even though it literally took seconds to accept my money, I get to wait 7-10 days to get MY money back!

Thanks Grub Hub! You really are something!

I hate GrubHub there thieves they're Liars I got screwed over and I can't even watch TV without the five minute commercials every 5 minutes I'm sick of it I'm sick and tired of GrubHub I hope doordash kills them

Friday the 3rd and Sunday the 5th the drivers app server crashed at 5pm local time PST. As a driver I could not log in for just about 2 hours each day though orders were still trying to be assigned. Finally was able to take orders but they were all hours old and very late. Would have been nice to get out some communication to the drivers, restaurants and people ordering food. Shut down the ordering if you can't get drivers assigned. Most of the restaurants I went to Saturday had no idea what happened and had to throw out a lot of food. Keep everyone in the loop? 95% of the time I'm happy but the last 2 out of 3 days have been just the worst and there was an extra promotion going on too for drivers during the exact time of the crash. GH never admits when there are app issues on either side and leaves the drivers on hold forever to get someone who cannot help on the line. Also when you call in, your phone data turns off so you miss offers while waiting on hold too. I love that one. Again the issues this weekend was not the drivers or restaurants but on GH them self.

This company is Disgusting! I know someone close to me that's been driving for these $#*!s for a year.! His lively hood has depended on it. He's made them a hell of a lot of money when they pay TERRIBLE. He was out driving for them 5 hrs into his shift and had a blowout with his front left tire. He sent them a pic and wasn't able to finish his time allotted to him AND THEY FIRED HIM! His blow out was at 10 pm at night trying to get help n no one around, it cost him a lot of money anyway and they FIRED HIM! How DISPICABLE CAN A COMPANY BE! You guys SUCK AND I PRAY KARMA HITS YOUR CHEAP $#*! COMPANY $#*!ERS!

First they tell me a 40mins. Alrighty, wish I knew that BEFORE I paid.
Then suddenly the texts keeps pushing it back... And back... And back... Food showed up after an HOUR AND A HALF.
I live 3.5 miles away from the Chinese food place I ordered from; my hubby and I just felt lazy. NEVER NEVER NEVER will I use this service again!

To top it all off:
My order was completely wrong, had to 3rd party between the restaraunt and the delivery service. Why didn't they CHECK THE ORDER?!
The food was COLD.

I got a re-deliver 40 mins later.
Food was cold again.
Whatever. We give up.

How in heck are they still in business?!

I have been a GrubHub customer for over 3 years. I knew I was paying a premium for on again off again service, but convenience was the key. Until now. I placed an order as usual, but problems started right away. The driver was late to pickup the order, and only delivered part of the order. I contacted the driver since he had texted me. Call the restaurant he said. I did, the child I talked to was completely ignorant of what could be done. So I contacted GrubHub. They said well you have gotten a refund. I explained to the life form that it wasn't about the money if I had wanted the money I would not be paying for the service of bringing food to the house. The fact is I wanted dinner. My guests were hungry, should I throw a couple of dollars at them?
The idiot could not in any way understand that this was about hospitality, not money. I would have gladly paid the cost for the food. But the automaton idiot would only say they can not give me anything. Not even the food I paid for them to deliver. By the way they kept the entire fee the bloody idiots. I then explained that they no longer exist as far as I am concerned. I pulled up door dash, got an order in record time, they even upgraded the order with a side dish, free of charge. That's hospitality folks. The Hub will never receive another cent from me. And the can securely deposit the refund in any orifice they choose.

For a owner to feel he needs to issue letters to his employees on the topic of who they voted for in an election is intimidation in its purest form. I will NEVER USE GRUB HUB AGAIN while this jacka$$ is involved in the leadership of this company. Maybe the board of Grubhub should take a vote on who might be better qualified to lead the company.

I ordered food for my children and I around 2pm. I heard some bad things about GrubHub, but I thought I'd give them a shot. My son was starving and waiting for the delivery for over an hour wasn't easy. They said the latest the delivery would arrive was 3:05pm... over an hour. It was now 3:25pm and I still did not receive my $50 order. It says on the Yelp app to contact GrubHub if I haven't already received my food. Tried to call the number provided, but wasn't able to speak to a human. Then I get a message that my order was canceled! Are you serious? We will not use GrubHub again! Apparently we aren't the only unhappy customers.

One of your $#*!ing drivers did our order pick up and took our food and gave us just drinks LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL $#*!, ARE WE SUPPOSED TO EAT OUR DRINKS? SO NO NO STARS FOR YOU, AND MY MOM IS A SINGLE MOM AND YOU TAKING OUR FOOD AND NOT GIVE IT TO US, THEN WE CAN'T GET A REFUND? THAT TAKING FOOD FROM US TAKING FOOD FROM A SINGLE MOMS KIDS. YOU OUGHT BE A SHAME OF YA SELF.

I used grub hub this evening. At the time my order should have been delivered my driver sent me a text saying she is unable to deliver my order at this time. I asked if another driver would. She said the restaurant had an hour wait. I asked if my order would just be delivered late, she responded I would have to replace my order. I return to the app to find the restaurant is closed, I cannot reorder, I call the restaurant and I am told my order is ready they are just waiting for the driver. Mind you, this is only 5 minutes after the driver told me it was an hour wait and I needed to place my order again. So, I go to pick up my food myself since grub hub says the order is still in the works, and this driver who said she would not be delivering it and I needed to place a new order is still scheduled to be delivering it. At this point I decide to call grub hub to file a complaint. I was on hold for 45 minutes waiting to speak to a customer service representative. I used grub hub in March and placed an order that said it was delivered but it had not been, and I was never contacted by the driver. I thought it was a one time deal with a bad delivery driver, but now this? Twice? I will absolutely never use the grub hub service again. This company should be ashamed of the customer service or lack thereof that they provide. I would rate grub hub negative stars if possible. Save yourself the trouble and use a different delivery service.

DO NOT give your business to grub hub. They billed me twice. Yesterday for my fiid purchase. Today another purchase came from grubhub Taco bell. I didn't order anything from them. I called *******1085, which is Grubhub's contact number. They said it was tax from last night's purchase. I pulled up last nights purchase and read it off to her. So then asked, what's this tax about? She (Argentina - alias name given) put me on hold and came back on the line saying there was nothing they could do about it. I made the promise that I would let the world know about how they double bill. I wish I could attach the screen shots of my order last night along with the transaction receipts for last nights order and the 38 cents they took today - no valid reason to charge me addition tax when I paid my bill through the Grubhub app last night. I also made it clear I'd discontinue my account with Grubhub. No need for them to help on that side, especially since I JUST created the account last night. As an Ubereats driver and Uber driver for passengers, I know and understand this system well. Grubhub is a thief and doing dirty business! Steer clear of them and use someone (Waitr, Ubereats, Doordash) who does and has honest and respectable business ethics and billing.

I ordered GrubHub twice this week.The first time, they messed up my order, and were kind enough to refund me. I ordered again tonight: 1 sandwich 2 bags of Doritos. All I got was the sandwich. I contacted the driver.He said,"not my problem, contact the company."I contacted Rodrigo on their chat line.He said they couldn't refund me, because they did so already this week. I said, well, you messed up that order,& you messed up again tonight. I also said I didn't want a refund, just 2 bags of Doritos delivered to me.He refused,& said I had to go through my bank to dispute charges. I then called GrubHub Customer Service,& they verbally told me the same thing. I told them that they were going to loose a customer for life, I would tell all my friends & relatives about them, write awful reviews about them on Facebook, Yelp,& everywhere else I can think of, all over 2 small bags of Doritos. Their response was ' do what you need to do."Alright, I will. NEVER use GrubHub! You will surely regret it,& they couldn't care less.

Ordered from foodler. Food arrived, yet the driver TOOK THE FOOD AWAY WITH HIM before I could get to him (it only took me about 2 mins to get to the front door)

Called customer service, GOT HANGED UP

Called customer service again, promised the dash will call me. THEY DIDN'T CALL ME

Yet they STILL DIDN'T CALL ME.

What a scam company. Thank you for giving me the worst day I have this year.

Waited till my order was over an hour late until I contacted customer service. Order was NOT DELIVERED. Thankfully I pushed and pushed on the phone with customer service and was told I would be given a full refund.! DO NOT USE THIS APP!

If anyone is thinking Grub Hub is convenient then think again. Wanted to try a new restaurant so I placed an order. That's when it when to hell. The driver got stuck in front of my house. The only reason that I know that is that I saw the driver on the map but didn't see the food. I contacted the driver and she informed me that she was stuck and waiting on a tow. She let me know that she would deliver the food after she got towed due to the snow. Not a problem at all I understand that the weather is bad. But 2 hours later still no food. I called customer support and let them know the situation and that I would like to cancel the order. They informed me that they would get me a 50% credit for food I didn't receive. I let them know that I never received the food and they said that the driver tried to deliver the food so we would have to pay. I explained to them that this was completely unacceptable and I demanded a refund.

Grub hub does a disservice and is not a honest company. They employee said the only thing he could do is give 50% off of food that was never delivered. They employee let me know that his driver tried to deliver the food and we didn't accept it. I informed them that I have security cameras around my entire house and that I would send them the footage. They said they would be willing to get a 50% credit. How is that service I have no problem paying for food that I ordered and that was made properly but to not get your food and still be charged. GRUB HUB should be more like NO GRUB and you still pay.
