“Fees increase after delivery”

Check your receipts. Past month Grubhub has been increasing service fee after order delivered when charge posts to account. Food price, tax and tip stay same, but their service fee increases. For example when orders placed fee $4. Final charge then $4.80. How is this not illegal? Beware!

I ordered at 5:40pm from The Flying Falafel. At 7:45, the food was delivered. I cancelled via the eat 24 app multiple times. I even called the restaurant to ask what was taking so long and they told me that the eat 24 delivery driver never showed.

So after two hours, he shows up at my door. He hands me a waterlogged, soaked bag. It is dripping - this is how wet it was. I immediately said, wow! He just walked away. I have pictures of how the food was delivered to me. The containers were opened and smashed flat. The containers were so water logged that they were tearing apart into the food.

I have never experienced something like this before with delivery, and although I understand we are not performing brain surgery here, there's still an unacceptable threshold when it comes to customer service. I will be posting these pictures on online reviews and if there was an option to upload here I would include them as well. I'm pretty shocked, and above all else I need to make sure I am not charged for this order. Everything was soaked, stale and soggy.

After three attempts to call the 24/7 customer service was unsuccessful (it just rang and rang for over four minutes), finally the call was answered and immediately disconnected by the other party. I am not paying for this.

Myself and 3 coworkers split the $17 upcharge for grub hub. Then they forgot half the order. They refund the cost of food in 5 days,& keep the full upcharge. NEVER again.

Crown friend chicken in hicksville $#*!ing sent a boc of chicken and fries with a dead roach in it and grub hub said they cant help with refund... $#*! all you $#*!s

I have tried to use grubhub three times. I started back in 2017, when they were first ramping up in my area. I ordered twice, and after several hours of waiting, was contacted to say that #1 the restaurant didn't deliver to my area and #2 my driver picked up my order, but couldn't be contacted. Both times my money was eventually refunded, but the second time I had to go through my credit card company to block the charge. I guess grubhub thought I received my delivery and just didn't want to pay. I just attempted again this evening to order through them. My delivery was out for delivery, and once again, my order status was delivered. I was at my front door waiting for delivery for 10 minutes. No joy. I contacted grubhub through a chat (the only way they will talk to you), and after about 45 minutes of waiting, was told that my order was canceled, and was there anything else they could do for me. This is what grubhub considers customer service? The cherry on top of this, an e-mail letting me know it will be about five days before the charge comes off my card. Do not order from grubhub unless you want to wait endless hours to see if they can get their act together and do their job.

Waited forever to get food. Finally get it and its missing a 2 liter. I called the restaurant and they said they saw the driver grab it. Never ordering through grubhub again.

This was the most ridiculous waste of 69 dollars it had nothing to do with the restaurant and everything to do with your service when I ordered it said 40 minutes after I paid wait time jumped to 1 hour it was actually about 2 hours before I actually received my order I wanted to cancel but I didn't want the restaurant to have to eat the cost of the meal for your bad service. Restaurants are struggling right now and that would be unfair so I as the consumer took the loss as my food was 2hrs old by the time I received it. I asked the driver to text or call when he dropped it off he didn't so I finally got back on the app only to see that it had been delivered 15min prior and sat out in the cold as it was almost 10pm my grand kids fell asleep waiting on dinner. I will never use grubhub again and I will share on Yelp fb and any other source of social media my horrible experience with grubhub and strongly advise against using your service.

Do not use grubhub they care nothing about customer service they won't give you an accurate delivery time and want their participating restaurants to eat the cost of the meal if you cancel because of their bad service. Horrible company horrible service

I was not advised that the provider could not fill my complete order. When I called grubhub they seemed surprised that I hadn't accepted the incomplete order only wanting to refund for the item that was not available.

This is the FIRST and LAST time I'll utilize this service and I will NOT recommend them to anyone.

I placed an order and received my confirmation e-mail at 6:53. I had ordered from them before and things went smoothly last time. I was feeling under the weather and wanted take out so I thought I would use them again. 51 minutes later I miss a call and when I check the voicemail, the woman stated that I was out of their delivery range. She told me they would be happy to make this right and to call, e-mail or livechat with someone from Eat24. I got on the computer immediately and saw that I had an e-mail from them asking if I wanted to come pick it up instead and within the same minute a second e-mail stating they were canceling my order. Did I get a chance to respond? No. So I live chat with Chris S. Who 30 minutes later tells me that what they will do for me is apply $2 to my next order. I told them they were wasting my time and I was done communicating. He sent one last message back asking if he could call me in which I replied no and he had already disconnected the chat. Needless to say, I ended up with no food, terrible service and no compensation for having wasted a goof 1.5 of my time. I will not be using them again.

I ordered dinner from a local Chinese food restaurant which in and of itself is work because the grubhub app is garbage. I waited an hour for my dinner. I received a text message telling me that my food was in front of my door. NOPE! Keep in mind that I have ordered from this restaurant through grubhub multiple times! Anyway I called customer service who said she would refund my money. I told her that she wasn't going to do any such thing. That she was going to stop being lazy and call the driver and get me my!@#$ing food! That got me nowhere. So I called the number that I got texted from and spoke to the delivery driver personally. I asked him that when he arrived at the address and realized that it was an apartment complex (my order clearly stated which building I was in) did it ever occur to him to call the telephone number provided and clarify? Clearly it did not because that would actually require him to use his brain and put forth a little effort! He blatantly refused to correct his mistake. I had to explain to him that I don't even know how to wrap my head around his kind of stupidity! I then checked my debit card and these lovers only gave me a PARTIAL CREDIT! Maaann they done picked the wrong one on the wrong day!

Would think would put a mirror before their mouth before hiring.
This kid STUNK.
And the food was not only cold but looked like had been snacked on as well.
When asked, he stated "naw, wouldn't eat your tators" before I TOLD HIM WAS MY "TATORS".
Would NOT recommend this service to anyone.
Would rather eat rancid tuna from the $#*! crack of a sand $#*!.

Used GrubHub for the first time placed my order at taco Bell waited for the preparation time got confirmation it was on the way then immediately got confirmation it was canceled and now I have to wait 5 to 10 business days for my money with no explanation to why my order was cancelled oh and by the way now I still have to drive down there and get my food I'll never use GrubHub again

I referred a friend using grubhub app. They did not give me a promo code, and when I reached out to customer service, my issue wasn't addressed. When one of the customer agent did figure out a way to help me, she said that I HAD TO PLACE AN ORDER RIGHT AWAY FOR THE PROMO CODE TO APPLY. I asked her to send me the referral code so that I can use it in future when I order food, she said she just cannot send the referral code away. Nor did I get the first order promo code. Never using Grubhub again!

I tried to order from pimento here in Minneapolis Minnesota. Eat24 allowed for me to place my order and run my card. I was charged 40 dollars for my meal. I then proceeded to wait for over an hour and then I receive a phone call from Eat24 saying that the reatraunt was closed a d that I would receive a refund in 3-5 business days. When I complained they proceeded to give me a $#*!ty $10 coupon. I don't want the coupon I want my money back. I find it ridiculous that they choose to do business this way. Other delivery apps INDICATE WHEN THE RESTAURANT IS CLOSED. $#*! EAT24!

I haven't ordered through Grubhub in a while as I had a very poor experience with a delivery and then their customer service un-professionals.

So I decided to give them another shot. Ok maybe I didn't want to pay a $6 delivery fee to Favor.

I placed my order. Was ready outside for when they arrived, as it was a late lunch, and nothing.
I checked the time they had sent me and it had past. I tracked my order through the app and it said it had been delivered. It had not.
I went to the Help icon on the app and reported that I had not received it.

The customer (didn't care) agent said she was sorry and that she had checked with the driver and he said he had delivered.
I again let her know that it had not.
She again said she was sorry and that she was giving me a refund. I'm pretty sure that's what they said last time and it never happened.
I asked if they could just resend my order that I should have received and she said "no" of course.

Moral of the story - Don't waste your time ordering from these crooks. Spend the extra 3.01 with Favor and actually get your food.

They took money TWICE and I used all the money I had both times for food! They canceled my order both times and told me I had to wait 5days for refund! Mind you that I was obviously hungry and had no other funds for food
The customer service is really not any service at all they clearly don't care about the customers or the fact that they are dealing with people money
They never are state side and never compensate you for their mistakes
You just have to loose your money and wait till they decide to refund you
O well if you don't eat

I live in Eugene Oregon and have had nothing but bad experiences with GrubHub when I first signed up for the app decided to sign up for a membership that allowed me to have free deliveries regretted it by the second delivery place with GrubHub food was cold and the second delivery wasn't even what I ordered Needless to say canceled my membership by the third order

I thought I would try this door delivery and choose Grubhub. I ordered with side sauces and salad dressing on side. It arrived pretty fast and no wonder cuz the driver did not bother to check order for side sauces.
I call Crack Shack they told me to call Grubhub. I told him my salad was a hot one and by the time your driver brought dressing it would be cold. He informed me "Oh we won"t be sending anyone". The guy at Grubhub told me he had to check and call back. When he called he said "Well for the salad we will credit you back and for the dipping sauces for chicken we will give you 5.00 off next order". I laughed and said do you really think I will order again, that is a big NO! And I already had a 5.00 off my next order because It was my first time.

So this is crap. He was a jerk and how hard is it to check the order you are delivering! No rocket Science.

These guys are the worst. I drove for Postmates when they first started so I know the routine. These guys were just bad all around.

Ordered food through Grubhub yesterday, got Red Robin. The food had finally arrived 4 hours late! I had called Red Robin durring the whole thing who basicially told me my food has just been sitting there waiting and is cold by now. They claimed they would remake the item when the driver arived, but when i got my food it seems they had just reheated it as I got 3 incredibly soggy sub-par burgers with like 10 fry's each. I also tryed reaching out to Grub Hub which finally answered after an hour of waiting on the phone, who said all they could do was give me a $10 coupon for GrubHub even though I plan to NEVER use this service ever again. Go with UberEats guys, way more professional and ON TIME!

Placed an order and when it arrived was told it didn't charge me and I was to pay cash. It didn't show on my acct. Because it was the weekend. Driver stole $40.00. Bunch of $#*!ing thieves

The biggest problem with Grub Hub is they make it so easy for their delivery drivers to steal your food. I have had 3 orders of food stolen within a month! They have no way of tracking if their drivers have stolen your food and the drivers are not being reprimanded if they steal food. They don't even take the time to investigate if your order has been stolen. There are a few ways a delivery person can steal your food:

1. The delivery person picks up your food and then reports that they have had an emergency. Grub hub then cancels your order and refunds you. The delivery person then eats your food...

2. The delivery person picks up your food then immediately logs out of the app. The Grub Hub system then cancels your order stating "no driver was found". And (in 2020) they have no record that a driver was ever assigned to your order. The delivery person then eats your food...

3. The delivery person picks up your food. One of your items is packaged separately because the restaurants have not figured out they need to package the food all in one bag smh. The delivery person delivers one of your items to you, but notices the item packaged separately is a yummy dessert. They proceed with telling you the restaurant only gave them one item and just ask for a refund. The delivery person then eats your food...

Its 2020 Grub Hub... update your applications and stop handing out coupons as a means to make amends for your poor service.

I ordered a salad from subway. Drink. The food order was 14 dollors. I out in 5 dollars for the tip. At checkout my total said 27 dollors Lololo WTF! Keep it. I'll call a shop instead

The 2 times I've ordered from them they delivered to the wrong location. The first time, I had to drive all the way back to my home from my office. The second time I had to do the same except the bastard driver didn't even leave my food on my porch at my house so I drove back for nothing and didn't even get my food!

Both times I had specified the food be delivered to the office, not my home address. Both addresses were present in their database. I assume, due to some computer error on their end whenever I call the driver, the computer is telling him to go one way and something else must be telling him to go another way or specify a different address or something. As soon as I call them to ask what location they are going to they say "oh no" and start to get all nervous realizing there's been a mistake. They seem to know there are 2 addresses and they are going (or being lead) to the wrong one. I know for a fact that the address was correct when I ordered as the second time I knew to double and triple check the address and yet again it sent the driver to the wrong location. Whether it's a computer thing - or an error on their website, an app problem on the driver's app or just plain incompetence on the part of the driver - it's still that... incompetence and it will not be tolerated.

I also wouldn't put it past the drivers to intentionally "mis-deliver" things to get a free meal - while the hungry customer gets a refund (maybe).

I hope grubhub get forced out of business so no more restaurants or customers will be INFLICTED by their incompetence.

Tip for consumers:
Just don't do it.

Lately everytime I order from grubhub I get a decent delivery time. Then it changes to 30-40 mins after. I have wasted to much money through grubhub. Back to DoorDash and UberEats I go

So when my order got here, the delivery guy couldn't find my place so he just asked the nearest person if they were me. The person said yes and ended up stealing my food.
