I appreciate the user-friendly app interface, as well as the real-time tracking of my order and estimated delivery time. Grubhub has become an essential part of my busy lifestyle

“Fees increase after delivery”

Check your receipts. Past month Grubhub has been increasing service fee after order delivered when charge posts to account. Food price, tax and tip stay same, but their service fee increases. For example when orders placed fee $4. Final charge then $4.80. How is this not illegal? Beware!

If you care about your food and delivery TIME stay AWAY from them!
They don't care about the customer and you will need to cancel or dispute your credit card later

This might just be the worst company in existence. Not just the worst delivery company, but actually the worst company.

My order was being delayed for no reason, so I went to chat with them to ask what was going on. But wait! They have no idea why it's delayed. "I request you just wait longer."

Are you freaking kidding me?!

Then, the agent told me that the driver was unreachable and there's no way to know when the order would be delivered.

When I told him that GrubHub was awful for providing such terrible customer service and that Uber Eats is infinitely better, he chastised me for being rude.

And on TOP OF THAT, he then told me that the food was ready at the restaurant and just sitting there, but that the driver simply just never went to pick it up.

So you'd think the story would end there, right? Wrong!

I then left a negative review of the delivery and the customer service in the app, and what did they do? Instead of taking it as criticism to be improved on for themselves, they POSTED it as a one-star review of the restaurant, a restaurant I really like and where I am friends with the owner. Of COURSE I didn't want to give his restaurant a one-star review!

Predictably, they do not offer a way to edit or delete reviews, even if you're the one that made them. So I contacted them again - how do you think that went?

The agent was just as rude, telling me there was no way for him to delete a review - rather, he'll put in a request for deletion, and it will take 7-10 business days to be reviewed.

So I told him, sorry, I'm not going anywhere until you remove my review, or transfer me to a manager who can.

To which he told me that there's no way to do this and just ended the chat.

Honestly, I hope this disgrace of a company goes out of business as soon as possible, I will NEVER use them again, and that's a promise. I hope others stay away from these awful, awful people.

I was participating in an online conference and ordered lunch meals through Grubhub. During the window for delivery, I saw a missed call on my phone. This happened to be the same time I was waiting outside for the delivery, and I was informed the food had already been delivered. It took over 20 minutes to prove that they were not deliveries and that I had come to my office door twice when the doorbell rang, thinking it was the delivery. Following the long conversation about proving there was no order delivery, I was informed that I had two options: get a refund or place another order. Unfortunately, there were less than 20 minutes left for the lunch break. This bad experience was so untimely because this was the day I was not working at home. I was informed that a supervisor would call me in 15 minutes. This experience made me wonder if the re-order would be safe to eat and if this had happened to other people. I also wondered if this was happening to people who had to spend time on the phone proving that they did not receive the orders after they had even paid for delivery, as well as what this means to a senior customer who could be waiting for a meal delivery to eat on time.As I write this review, I have not received the call or received a meal. How does management address such bad experiences, or how is the credit that was part of the conference handled since I did not receive the meal or get credit? I gave one star to the customer service rep, who eventually accepted after 20 minutes that the meal was not delivered. I wrote an email to the corporate and conference organizers. I hope that the program organizers can use more reliable services. I also hope that management will consider a valid ID at the time of delivery so that the customer does not have the same bad experience as I had while attending an essential online program. I expect that I will get to hear from the supervisor.

Tip for consumers:
This was a bad experience, and I hope that no one goes through it again.

Products used:
I did not eat lunch that day.

Every time I've used it so I've used it a total of three times each time my either my order was canceled I was missing an item or they just never showed up absolutely would not use GrubHub.

Yup over an hour to find out they still haven't even sent a driver to deliver my food. Never again! Now i have to wait for a refund too bull!

If you want your hot order to be iceberg cold when it finally gets to you then by all means use this crap service. My opinion... avoid at all costs.

Just ordered from feasta- my fav Italian place- food was piping hot and soooooo yummy- thx grub hub and feasta pizza schoenersville rd Bethlehem pa!

So first the order was said to be prepared at 6:09 pm with your food should be there soon. 7:30PM 1/2 the food arrives and is luke warm which is alright they had to drive here. But then you call them and the only option is to get a refund for the food. Wait didnt i just tip you 7 dollars and you couldnt make sure my order was correct okay driver i dont know what you thought the tip was for it sure wasnt for not bringing me all my food. So i get 17 dollars back as a refund how do i know well when i said i wanted a refund the first costumer service agent hung up on on me. So when i called back the next person let me know what the first did. Unwilling to refund tip and delivery charge. Pick up Sticks messed the order up and wasnt willing to fix the problem either I eat there 3 times a week that just changed. Finally 3rd times the charm i finally got my tip and delivery fee refunded online. In the time it would have taken me to go get the food myself i would have saved 20 bucks and 2 hours so i wouldnt ever suggest you use grubhub unless you hate yourself and want to screw up your night

Limited restaurant options and the delivery is never on time. It's always delayed for more than an hour from their initial delivery time.

There are other delivery services out there.

If you goto order food, they will show you pictures of one thing, put something else on your order and refuse to fix it.

Why is such a simple concept so exhausting and unpredictable. I want food. Deliver it. Don't cancel it and shrug your shoulders, it's disrespectful

First of all I've used them for about a year on and off, last night I ordered food thru them and everything was fine, Until I woke up in the morning to my bank trying to contact my about fraudulent charges to my account, EAT24 was the last place I used my card, it was on the site, 1 was for 92.30 cents, and another charge for like 5.15 cents, I called the company and they say that they saw, the charge and cancelled it, and that they can't tell me who it was for security reasons. At this point I'm livid, they violated my security and then told me they can't tell me who and where or what and how my card was used, at this point I told her supervisor someone in their company is hacking or selling card numbers, they claim they can't see when you clearly type in in the damn card info section, after chatting with my bank I let them like some faulty crap was going on, when I attempted to call them the phone hung up on my twice after being on hold for 16mins and the other time 12mins, then they finally called me back, and tried to feed me a load of crap, about how nobody in there company could have possibly have made the charges to my account. I then was told they will email me a form for my bank to sign for it to be investigated, still haven't received it and also I'm asking them to deactivate the account because, I don't want to use they're service anymore and there's no answer, and they also deleted the messages we had back in forth all but 2 responses they made to try to clean it up, but ofcourse I have screenshots

Deleting app now and will use Doordash only going forward!

Driver stole my food and turned off her phone so customer support couldn't reach her. This is a terrible delivery service. Beware.

Canceled my order twice and took the money out of PayPal. I'll never use this service again. Worst place to order from.

Several times, we have ordered from restaurants and been told an hour later that they're closed, one time in particular we were the ones to call GH and then GH had to call us back after waiting 2 hours and 45 minutes for food. What doesn't help this situation is, GH doesn't seem to offer businesses that they partner with, the ability to state their working hours. So there's no system that let's you know whether or not they're open. What would be nice is for GH to have a Red Light Green Light list of restaurants in your area. Because You could be at a party and try being the super hero with the "cool app" and order $75 worth of food, only to be told they're closed. But then here's the best part, that $75 is now not yours for another 3 - 5 business days! Yay!

Also, who in their right mind would tip a driver BEFORE ORDERING THEIR FOOD? Look. I'm all for tipping, to be completely honest with you I have never given lower than an $8 tip to waiters/waitresses and if I live a literal minute down the road you'll still get at least $3 from me. But to ask for my money, for work that someone has YET to do... do you guys at GH realize that these drivers could have someone like me, tip them $8 for driving halfway across town, and then have me wait an hour plus for reasons unexplained to me. That's called, they didn't earn what I just gave them. And it's too late.

To anyone looking for a fast way to get food, the best way is still just to know your area. The more we age. We seemingly grow farther apart. We are so connected to technology, but disconnected to one another. It doesn't take very much brain energy to remember a phone number. So come now, we all have faith. Let's do things the right way and take matters into our own hands. Fvck this app.

Havent had an order yet that didnt have issues. Customer service page on app is blank! Hows that for a giant fu!

I was staying I had a hotel close by and thought I would order through GrubHub and I ordered from the treat restaurant a pizza and I added some fries with gravy because you need to do a minimum of $15 to get the discount on your first order.

About 15 minutes before my order was supposed to arrive I put my dogs away in a crate so they wouldnt bark when the guy came to the door. Sometimes people arrive early and I expected that might happen they gave a 10 minute window of the delivery time I waited and waited nobody ever showed up I had the dogs in their crate for over 40 minutes

Finally the guy called over a half hour late and I could barely understand his English. He was at the hotel walking around. That didnt make sense because its cold outside and why do you want to walk around with the food. When you want to take your car and drive to the room with the X ternal entrance?. He gave me the food and I thanked him he didnt apologize for being 30 minutes late I had no idea the food was cold once I was back in my room the pizza was freezing cold and the fries were cold too and fries with gravy are gross when theyre cold.

He didnt give me any plates or anything like that so I cant heat up the pizza in my hotel room I dont think Ill ever order from them again
