“Fees increase after delivery”

Check your receipts. Past month Grubhub has been increasing service fee after order delivered when charge posts to account. Food price, tax and tip stay same, but their service fee increases. For example when orders placed fee $4. Final charge then $4.80. How is this not illegal? Beware!

The food was scheduled for a 12:30 delivery. It came an hour late and was cold. Use restaurant's delivery if possible.

Tip for consumers:
Don't use GrubHub. Expensive and late delivering food.

Grub hub sacks. They cut tips from drivers and cut mileage to pay less for a driver's job. Worst experience ever!

Stole $25 from me wasted 2 hours of my life was lied to, happy birthday to me that was my gift card and first and last time I will ever use GrubHub POS.

Tip for consumers:
Save yourself some time and money and drive yourself to get your own food, your food will come late it will cost way too much and it will be cold and crappy.

I drove and got the food myself your service is BS.

The GH driver stole our food & lied about GPS

The GH driver stole our food, we re-ordered but it was never delivered. Had to go pick it up. GH driver lied in only one text and stated our address wasn't in the GPS. What a thief and liar, we believe. He is Omar, a Black man who refused to answer phn or texts, but only one. GH is severely going downhill and fast. There is a huge problem with communication within the GH staff. Also, the English is very broken or even unintelligible by their staff, a literal nightmare all the way around to deal with. Wish things were decent within GH and Omar, the driver last night, to us, was evident of being a criminal, we believe. GH informed us they would get another driver to deliver however the restaurant, Green Curry, contacted us to let us know they were closing soon and so we inform the nice lady we were coming in to pick it up; we did. The reason we ordered from Green Curry, and worked so hard to get the meal, is because they are the best Thai restaurant around; EXCELLENT FOOD, but garbage GH service.

It took over 3 hours to finally get a meal thru GH but also a HUGE hassle and struggle to get refunds, i. E.

Juan Pablo Galue never showed up with my family's supper yet he marked the tracker as 'delivered the items'! I waited for him for 40 min at the lobby of the Royal Pacific Hotel, next to the place where other companies deliver food. I saw many food deliveries happen but ours never came. Yet I left my room number and my phone number in the delivery instructions. I called Juan's number shown on the tracker. He claimed he showed up and didn't see me! How can he SEE me when he doesn't KNOW me?! I immediately called customer service but the lady just kept repeating "I'm sorry about that. Unfortunately all I can do is offer you two $25 vouchers as compensation, and only one voucher can be used at one time." I was nonplussed. What? Your driver doesn't deliver my food and all you can do is offer me opportunity to shop twice with you?! And I paid $USD60.07 plus tip for that unfulfilled order! I even offered to pay extra for the driver to turn around to bring my family's supper but she just kept repeating the compensation as all she can do. As a cherry on the pie, at the end of the call, she told me to hold on for a brief survey on how well I have been served on a scale of 1 to 5. How darnedly crass! GrubHub is a TERRIBLE company. Please steer clear. Check out BBB to see the gazillion complaints. They are just beyond terrible. I'm disputing the transaction with my credit card company.

I was once a loyal Grubhub addict. I probably have had over 150+ orders with them. Their customer service and responsiveness to customers was second to none... That is until they merged with Seamless. Their service is in severe decline. I called in to report a missing item from my order and was on hold for over 16 minutes to even reach an operator. The time I lost attempting to reach someone in their company exceeded the financial loss of my missing item at that point. When I got them on the phone finally, the operator said they would give me credit for the missing item and additionally some "Free Grub" in relation to an order I had place the place previous day but forgot to apply a 10% web discount that was applicable at that time, which is a suitable response. But when I wrote in to their "customer service" explaining my concern with the degradation in their customer care and call wait times, I received a response promising $5 in "Free Grub". That's nice! But when I checked my account I never received this promise and when I emailed them to point out their mistake, I was responded to with excuses and no resolve. GO TO EAT24! I AM FINDING THEM TO BE A VERY NICE REPLACEMENT TO MY FOOD WEB ORDERING.

I have ordered three or four times using GrubHub as my delivery service. Almost every time except for once did I get the same delivery guy. The experience has always been the same with this guy. He calls me up when he is close, asking for my help to direct him on where my apartment complex is. As soon as I start to answer he interrupts me with ranting and raving. Every further attempt I make to give him directions he, again, immediately interrupts me with more crazy and useless babbling. All I needed to say is, "Sir, you are already at the right location,". However, this goes on for a couple of minutes before he will allow me a few seconds to say this sentence. He ends up wasting both of our time by taking out his frustrations on me. I do not understand why his GPS isn't sufficient for him. I never had a problem finding the place with the GPS intructions the first time I arrived there. Furthermore, he will not listen to simple instructions even though he asks for them every time. Lastly, he has been to this location several times already, with just me as a customer, and he still acts like this is his first time every time. He did apologize the last time for getting short with me, but he probably doesn't remember that I have already had this same experience with him two or three times now. That will be my last order with GrubHub Delivery. I cannot keep on having this same hostile experience with this guy who doesn't appear to channel his frustrations in an appropriate manner. I used to work at one of the most despised call centers around. So I know what it is like to experience hateful, disrespectful, and misplaced anger from customers. However, I understood that was a part of the job, and I didn't carry that emotion and frustration over into my next phone call. He should not be getting away with this every time.

Neither of these companies care about customer service and they are actually practicing modern day slavery. They have you working for both companies for only $15 an hour. There are so many flaws in their system that you have to just except the fact that you are scamming people. They have Management that will send people on fun company outings during the times we had shutdowns in NY or heavy call volumes. Doing so sets you up for a very depressing and useless work environment. Ideas that are being brought to their attention are brushed off and their management in the corporate care department will treat you different if you don't kiss butt. They don't handle REAL issues effectively (customer or system complaints). Most of the time in my shift starting off I had no management or leadership to assist me with providing the best customer service and when I took the initiative to ask for coaching I was written up. No yelling, no cursing, just an unhappy customer with a language barrier and I wanted to have a better call. All and All these complaints that I've seen below are all correct and its very disgusting to know that people actually waste their money on these businesses. If you are a corporate client you will be lied to and refunded or receive a re delivery and if you are a consumer then they just treat you like crap. MATT MALONEY IS RUNNING A MODERN DAY SLAVE SHIP AND I'M NOT EVEN SURE HE KNOWS IT IS THE SICK PART

If I can put ZERO stars I would. As far as the order and delivery process, not bad. Just ten minutes longer then if I would of ordered from restaurant directly. But three days later i noticed that I was double charged for my order. I called Eat24 and they asked me to email them a snapshot of my bank phone app showing the double charge. I did. I got an email back in two days saying that only one order was placed so the second charge will disappear soon. Wait three days.
Umm that made no sense, but i did. I waited a week. The charge was still their of course. I called back and they apologized and reassured me that I will receive a refund email in less then an hour and that my money will return to bank in three days.
No email and didn't get money back. Called back again in 5 days. Now they are saying they have no idea who I'm and cant see any orders and cant help me. WOW!
I got angry and asked the guy if I should come down their to speak with a supervisor. He said he was a supervisor and doesn't appreciate being threatened.? No one threatened him, but ok... So I asked for the address. Instead of giving it to me he started saying the company name i currently work for and started pretending he is calling them and started complaining to them about my attitude. I got so angry i lost it! I called back and another punk kid picked up the phone and said if this is (my name) the photographer. And he is also a supervisor. I hung up and called back again. A real supervisor picked up with clearly experience and proper customer service. Took care of my refund, i got the email confirmation. She apologized on the guys behalf. Not enough. That punk kid threatened my salary and job by trying to call my job. I'm SHOCKED. The worst company in the world! I think his name was Christopher.

My hubby ordered food tonight from KFC and they canceled the order 2 1/2 hours AFTER the order was SUPPOSED TO BE HERE! Oh and all they can do for him is a 10% off coupon! Rude AF! Really?

Grubhub did not deliver and I was told my food was given to someone else and it was going to be another 45 mins and I couldn't had some place to go uuuuuugh Grubhub no integrity at all and liars

Recently after checking my receipt it seemed that the charge for taxes was quite high. I went into my Grub-hub account to look at past orders and found that on every order the secretly doubled( or more) the Delivery Charge. If you go to your receipt where its says taxes and fee's click on the little icon at the end and you will see that they charge the local tax and then an additional fee which they call a "Service Fee" I contacted them and they admitted that they get the Delivery fee and the Service Fee and when I asked what was the Service they said the Delivery! THAT MEANS THEY HIDE THE FACT that they get a higher fee for the "Service Fee" than the "Delivery Fee" What it all boils down too is that they are not honest enough to tell you they are taking more than double the Delivery fee each time you use them... Looks like at the least they are sly crooks and at the worst they are FRAUDULENT. Check your past history look at what they charge for tax and then calculate your tax it will be far less than what they charged your card or PayPal. Call and ask why don't you just say what you take out of my pocket for delivering the food? Just take a look at my receipt shows delivery charge and service charge... what do yours say when you look? Did they triple the "Taxes" charge or does yours now say Service Fee after I filed a complaint? Be an intelligent consumer don't get ripped off!

There is almost always a huge delay with delivery and the food is no longer hot upon delivery, if delivered at all.

I downloaded the app yesterday and had a horrible experience from the start. The restaurant on their app stops delivery at 6:00 pm (grubhub had no idea and apparently offers anyone with a pulse for delivery on their app) I ordered my dinner at 7:07 pm and received an email confirmation stating that I'd receive my food between 8:00-8:15. When I called the resterauramt at 8:30 they didn't answer because they were closed! Neither the restaurant nor grubhub bothered to give me a courtesy call and let me know I was never going to receive the food. I spoke to 2 employees at grubhub that would not allow me to speak to a supervisor. They BOTH informed me that they have no control over the resteaurants grubhub endorses on their website and cannot be held liable for the service received. I said "really, so anyone at all can log in, create an account and you would offer their services on YOUR app? So if I bake 10 dozen cookies tomorrow and logged on to your app and created an account offering to deliver them, you would just add me, no questions asked? The CSR laughed and said "yes they would". Their own employees admitted their so called service is completely redundant. Wow. I wouldn't recommend grubhub to an enemy. They are a rinky dink operation that created an app!

I ordered 7 large sandwiches for a very important meeting that was to take place at noon. I placed the order a couple hours earlier to ensure the delivery was on time. It appears that although Grubhub listed the deli's menu, the deli does not use Grubhub. They send the order to a driver who goes and places the order in person and delivers the food. Now this would not have normally been a problem BUT the delivery was LATE and he only delivered TWO sandwiches, completely ruining our meeting with a potential client. Also it seems as though the TWO sandwiches that were delivered were NOT from the deli I ordered them from and half of the meat was obviously tampered with and taken out of the sandwich. When I called the driver back to complain and ask him to rectify the situation he threatened me with bodily harm stating " I will come back there and punch you in the head" which I gladly asked him to please do. We are a security company and most of the staff is armed. This guy sounded drunk and when I entered into the customer service chat with Grubhub they were only going to credit me the sandwiches that were did not receive and not the tampered with sandwiches, until I threaten to call the police on the driver and the media on Grubhub, This was the WORST experience ever and I/we will NEVER use Grubhub again!

We ordered from Buffalo Wild Wings in Albuquerque, NM. We placed an order for 1 order of Chicken tenders and 1 order of a medium TRADITIONAL wings. The driver showed up and we realized after she left that the traditional wing was actually boneless. I called customer service and explained the situation. I was told that I could either go pick up my correct order or another driver would be able to bring the order in an hour or so. We agreed to have the driver bring the order. 2 hrs later and no food delivery I called customer service again only to be told that I would have to replace the order online and they would refund the delivery fee($7.00). I wouldn't except that so the lady I was speaking with hung up on me. I called back again and the lady I spoke with this time told me that everything I was told I the two previous calls was false and that she could only refund the delivery fee and refund me for my original purchase of the TRADITIONAL WINGS. At this point I'm still waiting for the my wings that were promised by the First Lady I spoke with. I don't understand how it's the customers fault that the delivery driver didn't check the order before leaving the restaurant. We should have been refunded the delivery fee and the price of the entree and also they should've redlivered the correct entree at no charge. NEVER AGAIN. These food delivery companies don't train employees and it does the restaurants themselves a dis service when the blame falls on them. I've worked in this industry for decades and I will never use a service like this.

For some reason, Grubhub's system refuses to acknowledge the address I have lived at for over seven years as a legitimate address. When I learned this, several years ago, I chose to give my business to Foodler, which, like Amazon, UPS, FedEx, and other services, manages to understand where my house is, and deliver mail/food there.

Unfortunately, GrubHub recently absorbed Foodler.

Reluctantly, I started a food order, and discovered that they still don't acknowledge my address, giving me an error message and "correcting" my address to the next town over.

Their first response to my request to fix the issue was to tell me that everything was fine, I just didn't know my own address. Their second response was to tell me that the problem was that I needed to clear my cache, which I did, even though it was totally irrelevant to the problem. When this didn't work, either, they suggested I just use a different address, and give instructions to delivery drivers on how to get from the wrong address the proper one. At no point did they attempt to fix the problem on their end.

Reading the reviews on an assortment of sites, this is in line with their incompetent, rude customer service department.

Each response was from a different employee, even if it was just ten minutes after the previous e-mail.

My request for them to delete my account was "We do not have the ability to delete diner accountsbeing an online merchant, we have to keep record of any orders that have been placed on our site. Were sorry for any inconvenience this may cause." which is not applicable as I've never actually been able to order through their site, so there is no history to preserve.
