“Customer help would not admit or acknowledge mistake”

Order was delivered 1 hour early. The order was for 2 people and $144. Customer help would not acknowledge and when I sent them the receipt that was proof of delivery time they said it was not attached on e mail properly whatever that means. Avoid GRUBHUB if possible.

Attempted to give Grubhub a try this weekend and ordered repeatedly from different restaurants at different times, every single order was cancelled. Not one meal was delivered. Should be able to get food ordered between 4-6pm right? Pointless app.

I used GrubHub's chat feature to ask if I could order from out of state and was assured that I could.
But nope, putting my son's address into the app still gave me local restaurants in my state. I called them and was told to try their website instead. I told them I'd be paying from one state and ordering from another. They said, "No problem!"

I carefully ordered a long list of items for his large family, to be delivered at a specified time, entered all my credit card info, gave them specific instructions on where to leave the food and gave the the driver a nice tip.

Then when I hit "Place Your Order", it was declined. I called their Customer Care number and was told there was "suspicious activity on your account from another state and you are now blocked from ordering for 48 hours." In addition, they DID charge my credit card, and say it will refund it in 5-7 business days.

I will tell everyone I know what a disaster this place is. Never again.

They make false claims of offers, sending emails and push notifications and then will not honor them at checkout. They have done this multiple times and it demonstrates unethical advertising practices, including but not limited to bait & switch.

I ordered for my disabled wife while I was at work. They ( The Front Room on California in SF) called her back and said to her can you come downstairs, the driver does not want to pay for parking. After a few bad remarks in Spanish they begrudgingly delivered burned pasta with no sauce. Lettuce with no salad toppings and no dressing. And the drive smiled as he took a 5 dollar tip from his disabled victim. Knowing they messed up her order. Being the day before we ordered the same thing for her she loved it, so she wanted the same thing again.

The order was pasta with garlic sauce and a Greek salad.

When i notified eat 24 they stared to want to help. Bur after 4 email, and a week still no satisfaction.
It is now my mission for everyone to know about this.

They're absolutely the worst company that I've ever tried to deal with it's bull$#*! that I have to not only have my order cancelled on me but the refund won't take any shorter than 3 to 5 days and there's nothing they can do about it so in conclusion don't trust this company not worth your time and they will steal your money cancel your order and make you wait for a refund

Ive had 2 orders not fulfilled out of Grubhub, they just ate my $#*!ing money. Up-right, never delivered their food nor have I gotten any sort of compensation. Don't use grubhub, use a real business for your food transactions.

The tracking feature is great! You can watch your food get cold while it sits at another restaurant (driver getting another order) for almost 20 minutes. We live less than 4 minutes from the restaurant. Cold soggy food, yuck. There is a very limited way to complain about one food item... you should pick the most expensive item to get a refund.

I think it is a joke that Grubhub is advertising save your favorite restaurant, that is scary having someone I don't know if they are wearing proper personal protective equipment or not making food for me. The virus can last for 2 to 3 days on hard surfaces and 24 hours or more on cardboard so why order food from a restaurant that may have infected people making your food. Make your own food at home be safe.

Years ago we may have needed Seamless or GrubHub. But today most restaurants have their own web sites fro ordering. At least you know who your issue is with when things go wrong. When things go wrong at GrubHub they DO NOT stand behind their service unless you really put their feet to the fire. One employee told me the fact that I didn't get food isn't her issue because she didn't cook it.

To add insult to insult, I was unable to leave a review on the site because the non-delivering restaurant cancelled my order. That took away any ability to make a review based on service. This is despite the fact that I had ordered from the this restaurant 3 times before. There is no way to go to an old order and make a review.

So I say, why do you need them if you can use the Internet or your own to place orders? Why should they be getting a cut of the order profits if they are not going to stand behind their service?

App said food was delivered. It was not. No knock, no call, no email or text. Called customer service and waited 45 min to talk to someone. The chat got me nowhere. They said the driver tried to contact me. They did not. I had to talk to three people to get a refund. They wanted me to accept a 50% off my next purchase. What a joke. I ordered and received my food from Doordash before I even got customer service on the line.

Don't waste your time, use better delivery apps. Also, if you want a refund, just keep asking for the supervisor.

Ps not working for doordash, just really hate grubhub.

First I ordered 2 pizzas that was delivered side up in a bag which was handed to my by the handles. Both pizza smeared and destroyed. Then... the driver was kind enough to return with two new pizzas. I tried to give a second chance and ordered burgers which one was missing. Salad top off and soda was actually lemonade... I feel bad for people with no cars with limited income with kids who can't eat... some people can't afford to have this happen so shame on grub hub

So I've ordered today would have been my 4th time. Was so pleased with the service the first 3 times I signed up for the $10 monthly. After the service received today account DELETED and I'll go back to my DoorDash or UberEats. They are unprofessional and rude customer service representatives. The first one I spoke to booted me out my account. Lol... Yes I'm not expecting this company to be around much longer. The second representative hung up when i was asking a question. These people are Sad.

Straight from NY pizza and GrubHub has lost my business forever. I had been ordering delivery from them for about a year now because they are the closest to where i work that has GF/DF pizza. I would get one or two a month, tipping the pizza makers and the drivers at least 20%.
A couple of weeks ago the management here at the hotel wanted to do something nice for the guys in maintenance for all the hard work they've put in. So we ordered three pizzas. Just three.
We were told the order was too large and they could not do it.
Three pizzas for delivery was too large an order.
Bad business example, guys. You have lost a long time customer.

If you want to go on a diet have these idiots deliver. You wont get anything except a half baked apology for leaving your bought and paid for meal at someone else house! What a joke, 4 hungry people waiting for a sushi dinner having to settle for fast food. What a -1 outfit. A driver has one job, find the correct address and deliver a meal. The only thing they have to do! I After the half baked apology he offered to give me a $5.00 COUPON f-ing C O U P O N for the inconvenience. What class so f you Grub! You won't see a dime more from me or my hungry friends.

I just ordered from wa wa thru gruhub.So when I go to chose pick up or delivery.It automatically said I have to pick it up.After they took my money.I can't pick it up I don't own a car.And that was my last money.They just took my hard earn money. I will tell family friends a co -workers to never use this company

Never again. Too many other options. Ordered at 5:10 pm at 6:30 called the restaurant to see if a GrubHub driver had picked up. Nope. Food had been sitting there for an hour. Called GrubHub. They assured me they'd fix it. Called the restaurant and placed a fresh order. And gave me $10 off. MY NEXT ORDER! What? That's not fixing this problem. That's trying to get me to spend more money later. I finally got my food at 7:45 and two items were missing (I'm guessing the original order was done correctly by the restaurant...) So, I spent $6 in tip and $5 delivery and the food was $30. And they would absolutely NOT make this right. No refund issued. They did offer me another $10 off a future order--but the 2 can't be used at the same time. Goodbye GrubHub. I wanted you to make this right. I gave you plenty of opportunities through e-mail.

Grubhub has been stealing money from my restaurant for the last two months. They stole my restaurant phone number and replaced it with a number that rings in another county. The people that answer the phone cannot speak any English. My customers I have had for over 20 years think they are calling my restaurant but they are being transferred to a third world telemarketing company. Grubhub is killing the small restaurant owners. Please do not order through Grubhub they are thief's and will not even get back to me after 2 months of trying. Please support local business

Last Thursday I decided to use Eat24 delivery service for lunch. This was a bad decision because my lunch break is only 45 minutes. The food arrived 30 minutes late and the food was so cold that the noodles were fused together. The delivery person had no excuses or apologies. He just said "sign here".

We are a restaurant partner with Grub Hub and I can say for sure they have THE worst customer service when it comes to the partners that have their restaurants on their sites. Most emails to account reps are returned as invalid. The reps rarely answer their calls.It is very hard to get some one to fix an error they create on your restaurant site. When we call *******790 them to fix any issue the hold time is at least 45 mins to an hour, so I think, because I always hang up after that time or if they answer, the call gets dropped. Would NOT recommend this site to any restaurant looking to promote with them.

If I could give GrubHub no stars, I would. Tonight isn't the first time I've waited for food that never arrived--sometimes after waiting for longer than an hour past the delivery time! Since Delivered Dish got sold to GrubHub, the service has declined to terrible. Their customer service rep just said they sent me coupon for a free delivery, so they must know they're in trouble. The problem is... if I use the coupon, will any food ever actually arrive?!

I have been trying to use GrubHub for the last several years and about 50% of the time my order gets cancelled after about an hour of delays. Either this company needs to work with their drivers or they need to build a better relationship with the restaurants. I will not be using them again.

I've ordered through Grub Hub since 2011, but I will never order through them again for any reason. They have the absolute worst customer service of any company I have ever done business with. They are slow and unresponsive to any question or if they mess up your order, which at their Bellevue, WA office they seem to do constantly. I definitely would not recommend them to anyone. There are a couple of other similar companies that perform the same service and do a much better job!

So to follow up, I had initially called their customer service line to get this resolved before I posted my complaint. The CS rep had basically told me "too bad".

Finally, Grubhub did actually reach out to me as a result of my post. They have refunded me the price of the burger plus the extra 20 cents they'd charged me. They also said I could keep the $10 discount promo as well. So, they did actually step up and correct the situation eventually. Thank you, Grubhub.

I ordered a burger from Red Robin via Grubhub. I paid extra to have an egg added to my burger and specified that it be cooked over hard and not runny. When I cut my burger in half (which I'd also requested and the restaurant did not do) the runny egg oozed all over my burger thereby making it inedible to me. So now let's add insult to injury. I called Grubhub to report this. I was told I'd get a full refund. Instead I was sent a discount code for less than the value of the burger. This meant that I would need to spend more money with Grubhub/Red Robin in order to get my "refund". In addition, I received a follow up email stating that they had also decided to charge me an extra 20 cents for "special instructions". Wow. Worst customer service ever. Will never order from grubhub or Red Robin again.

I've been using grubhub for about a year. I would say over 50% of the time they cancel the order. About 90% of the time the order is delayed for anywhere up to an hour. They are really really bad. The thing is they will delay the order 2-3 times, then cancel it. So yo wait 2 hrs. Then learn there is no food coming.
I don't know how they assign drivers or estimated delivery times but it is horribly inaccurate.
Maybe its better in the city but in the rural area we live in it stinks.
And what is up with the 6.99 fee plus some other random fee. If they are going to charge that much they could at least be decent.
Don't try them if you have another option.

I'm only reviewing because of all the negative reviews! I can't believe it! This is absolutely the only way I order food anymore and have been doing so for about 2 years. I've never had a problem though once or twice I had an issue with an actual restaurant itself. Grubhub is just a mediator. If there's a problem it's more than likely the restaurant, not grubhub. Have a problem? Call grubhub anyway! Their customer service is beyond outstanding. They'll comp you for the restaurant'a mistake and you don't even have to ask.
