“Fees increase after delivery”

Check your receipts. Past month Grubhub has been increasing service fee after order delivered when charge posts to account. Food price, tax and tip stay same, but their service fee increases. For example when orders placed fee $4. Final charge then $4.80. How is this not illegal? Beware!

The owner is a hypocrite. He is butt hurt about the election and is lashing out against voters. Stay away. I proudly sent in my resignation.

No Food nor Money Back!
If I could give no stars I certainly would. I ordered through you Yelp, which GrubHub deliveries for, and never received my food.

I checked the app to see if my order was on its way, and it shows he was near. I checked again and noticed the driver had passed up my house, but was still in the plan, so I stood in my driveway and never came passed. Then noticed the driver marked as order delivered. I immediately called GrubHub, and they told me that there was nothing they could do since driver left. He literally is still showing in my plan. No, sorry we cannot call the driver, so you mean to tell me I'm just out my food? The GrubHub Rep stated, the driver tried to call you twice, nope had my phone in my hand the entire time and it did not ring once nor did the driver know or ring the bell. I have 2 dogs that would have definitely barked! Then the Rep proceeds to ask if I tried to contact the driver, and how would you like me to do that when a number for the driver was not provided. What do they do with the food? Do they get a free meal? They apologized and gave me a 50% discount for next time. I check my bank statement a week later and noticed they didn't credit my account for the food $41.40. I called, the GrubHub Rep actually tells me that they gave me a 50% discount off my next order. Why should I have to pay for an order that I did not receive. I think the 50% off should be for the inconvenience. The GrubHub Rep proceeds to tell me that if she gives me my money back then they will revoke the 50% code. I asked for a supervisor and she told me to have a good day and hung up on me. I will NEVER use GrubHub again... what a scam!

Estimated 1hr delivery, took a 2.5 hours. Driver calls us at 2 hour mark saying he's here but is on opposite side of town, blames us for incorrect address even though order said correct one. Says he'll be there in 15 minutes. 20 minutes later he calls and is at an apartment that isn't ours, starts yelling on the phone because he won't/can't type it into his GPS and wants us to explain directions. We have to give step-by-step instructions without totally understanding where he is to guide us to the apartment, the whole time he's rude and yelling. Contact customer support via email within 24 hours, don't hear back, send another email 48 hours after original order, never hear back. Get on customer support chat with them a week later and are told that nothing can be done because it's been more than a week and they didn't receive our email.

Grubhub has shown us a trend of blaming us for issues instead of practicing customer courtesy and vowing to make things right. We were begrudgingly offered a coupon and told that they consider the case resolved and there's nothing else they're willing to do.

Luckily, we're in a big city and have plenty of delivery options so we will not have to use GH again! Definitely recommend Favor, UberEats, DoorDash, Doorstep, Seamless over GrubHub 10 times over. All have great customer service and accept responsibility rather than place blame on customer. If you have other options, use them! Service and support will both be better with any other company. All 3 support people we spoke to were somewhat rude and unhelpful and placed blame repeatedly on us.

Our $15 credit will sit in our deleted account/app forever. No thanks :)

First and Only time I will ever order from them. I ordered some food from a local restaurant around my home through grub hub. I got a text from the driver and A picture of the receipt. First of all, I had paid $50 in total for our order. When I saw the picture of the receipt they had sent it was for $14. Only one order of what I needed. So I replied saying that this is not what I had ordered. He then replies with "well that's what it says on my order form" he sent me a pic of the order form and it clearly stated what I had ordered. I reply and told him that that picture clearly states what I had ordered, and I sent him a screenshot of the bill and the order from the site. About 10 minutes later, when I had already received the text that the driver was on their way, did he respond with "sorry, they were super rude. Not willing to go back in"
I replied that I had paid 50 bucks and that I would like my order. He replied with "well I could grab popeyes chicken" which had NOTHING to do with what I had ordered initially. When he showed up he tried to hand me the order and he told me to call customer service in order to get the price reduced. I told him to keep it seeing as it was the wrong order, I had already called customer service and left them with an account of what had happened.
Thankfully they were willing to send me a refund. However, they said it was going to take a week to process...
I tell you for sure I am keeping all of These texts and screenshots of what transpired just in case I don't get my money back.
Please do yourselves a favor and save the headache, do not use their service at all whatsoever.

After waiting over an hour for nothing more than soup and salad, the driver NEVER SET FOOT out of his car. Instead, he called my phone(mind you my delivery instructions specifically state to RING BELL 1B) which for whatever reason didn't ring. The phone did buzz, but it was a text saying we are trying to deliver your order and can't reach you. I then go outside, see a car with hazards on and I'm yelling like an idiot from my doorway because I thought he would be outside the door. Instead, the car pulls away. Mind you, there is a very bright light over my door and giant letters with the address and a bell CLEARLY LABELED. It is a clear night, no rain and NO REASON WHATSOEVER to stay in your car instead of getting out and LOOKING with little effort for the address. What's worse than this? A 10 minute wait for GrubHubs supposedly GREAT customer service over the phone only to have someone answer and HANG UP. People, get a clue, order from the restaurant and skip this horrible service or USE ANOTHER SERVICE.

Do not leave a tip on the grub hub app. If you fo and end up with 3 other people's order don't say I didn't tell you so. This is the worst way to order food in these Winchester martinsburg areas. I ordered denny's 1 meatloaf and 1 spaghetti. Ended up with 4 meatloafs that were ice cold. No spaghetti. Tha spaghetti was for my pregnant wife keep in mind. Then when I told them they messed up.my order they blamed it on denny's. Well the manager of denny's is family of mine and shie made my special bc I called her. She gabe it ro the driver ther driver dropped it off somewhere else. Then said denny's didn't give it to her. She straight lied. I tipped her 16 dollars on the app then they wouldn't give me a refund. Only on the missing spaghetti. They made me call my credit card company and report a fraudulent charge line I wasn't gonna do this for 60 bucks. I hate this app. Try others. They may not offer as much but it will be good, right and hot when you do recieve it. Don't trust these people away grub hub. Consider yourself warned.

Food is usually good, depending on the restaurant, but delivery is super slow. An hour and a half wait is typical.

I ordered the first time from GrubHub and the order was 40 mins late. Following week tried once again same restaurant placed order at 6:21pm... 2 1/2 hours later after discussing several times with GrubHub on an ETA a driver was finally dispatched only to receive a call back that they would have to cancel my order now because the restaurant was no longer open. I suppose Im a "glutten" for punishement because I used their services one more time and I placed my order@ 3:22pm and it stated it would be on its way by 4:07 est. And now I just received a call stating it will arrive "around" 5:30pm the restaurant actually took pitty on me and offered to bring it to me because I keep getting screwed. I talked to a manager at GrubHub by the name of Carolyn who had no cares in the world what so ever. You could feel her attitude in her tone as if I was bothering her. She offered me $10.00 grub cash... on a 36.00 order (awwww keep it clearly Grub needs it more) Never again will I use this service... waste of time and money. Poor customer care.

I have ordered several times and had an overall okay-good experiences until tonight. I literally feel unsafe & harassed by the driver leaving me shaking & in tears.
I selected door drop off, it's an option built into the app & I've used it in the past with no issues. The driver tonight called me asking me to wait outside for him (for 10 minutes!), he wasn't even on my street yet.
I didn't know if he was here or not yet so started to get up right away but took me a minute to get up (I'm disabled & occasionally have a hard time getting up, walking/standing) & when I wasn't immediatelyup when he asked 'are you outside yet?! Get outside! Are you getting up!?'(I was working on it) the shouting began, which I don't understand because I later learned he wasn't even on my street. I explained my situation to the driver which, for some reason, only made matters worse. After >5 on the phone being yelled at, & only understanding half of what was being said, although there was no way to misinterpret the tone in which it was being said in, I explained again that I am disabled & can't always stand extended periods of time but could come to the door when he's on my street. He wanted me outside waiting & began yelling more. When he finally arrived >10 into the phone call he tossed my bag on my step without a word & drove off.
It's humiliating & depressing enough having physical impairment & chronic pain I never imagined being scolded by a delivery driver for my inability to wait outside, in the dark, for >10 minutes nor would I have ordered if I knew this was a requirement/need as I know I couldn't do it tonight. I'm now left shaking & in tears from the entire situation.
I contacted customer service, dropped my membership, & never plan to use them again. This was my first terrible experience but it was bad enough I don't want a repeat, no longer feel safe or comfortable ordering, & now this individual knows my address; terrible idea.
I understand everyone has bad days & he could be having one but in no way should I have been yelled at or required to do his odd request of standing outside in the dark for his arrival that took >10 minutes.

I placed an order with grubhub for delivery feom subway at 6:49pm. Guaranteed delivery was said to be by 7:40 at the latest. A few minutes after 8, I messaged customer service. I then got am updated delivery time of 9:39-9:49pm. I messaged again to address this as subway closes at 8 and food was already picked up. A few minutes later they assured me several times if I didn't cancel, it would be delivered within 40 minutes. It's an 18 minute drive mind you. Driver shows in route. At roughly 40 minutes I look at the tracking my order option. The driver showed several miles away. So I checked after no notification, ans tracking shows the driver in same spot. I get a message after contacting customer support that the driver is not responding, but he is still in route. Finally another 10 minutes later I check again, and the driver still had not moved on the track my order. At that point I call the customer support # and within 2 minutes the order shows delivered and they assure me it's delivered. I look everywhere and there never was a delivery, in fact the driver never got within 5 miles of the house where they has stopped, also the place it show when it shoes delivered. In one order, Grub Hub assures me 3 times a time. Well after anything else is closed, and I let them know I need dimmer with my medication. Their solution was "well we can refund you". Well I sure hope so, whats your guarantee worth, 3 of them in fact; if what I receive is a delayed refund after 3 hours of waiting for food I pay them well for. A service that handles people's meals that could very well be affected health wise of grub hub services failed to come through. A liability in my mind. They offered no solution to a speedy alternative other than 20% off my next order. That doesn't set well, and I assured them that will not suffice. I will never recommend ot use their service with guarantees that guarantees absolutely nothing but false advertising and offering a service that people can amd do depend on their ability to produce the service at hand. Next step, Fox bad businesses news.

PS, custo.wr service then deleted all messages from support

Tip for consumers:
Highly recommend finding an alternative service or option. They will assure you over and over when an issue arrises tbst you can cancel or your food will be there delayed... then when it never shiwes up, there is no solution beyond a refund 3 hours later that takes 5 days to credit.

I placed an order to the local wings town and the food NEVER arrived. I place my order at 8:51 pm, it is now 10:33pm and the store is CLOSED! When I chatted with a CS rep they claimed that they called the store and the order was on its way. That was 9:45pm. I decided to call the CS number because no one was responding on chat. It rang for 5 minutes before someone picked up the line. I explained to the lady what was going on and she still said she had to call the establishment. I told her NO ONE WILL PICK UP BECAUSE IT IS CLOSED! She proceeds to tell me that she needs to call the owner and talk with her manager about refunding me, told me to give her a few minutes and then hung up the phone. I am So pissed. I ordered this food to have a movie night with my girls that not going to happen. Now I have to drive around town to find something to eat because we are hungry as hell and our hotel room doesn't have a stove. This is the absolute worst company to do business with. AVOID AT ALL COST. I have contacted my bank for a full refund,

Just pickup the phone and call a restaurant! You'll save time and hassle. Last night was the 2nd time they processed an order for a restaurant that was closed! First time was last week. Found a restaurant that was still open for half an hour. Placed my order. Twenty minutes later I get a call telling me the restaurant closed early and I would be getting a refund. Got the refund email from PayPal a few minutes later. Yes it was annoying but I decided to keep using the ap. Last night however the same thing happened. Found a restaurant that still had half an hour until close and ordered my food. Delivery time was 45-60 minutes. After an hour and 15 minutes I texted Eat24 customer service and asked what was going on. They called the restaurant and got no answer, just as I did and came to the conclusion that they had closed. The rep said I would get my money refunded but I never received a PayPal confirmation. I'm now "chatting" with an Eat24 rep that says they can't refund me until they confirm with the restaurant and they don't open for a couple more hours. Both times I ended up with no food and no other options because while waiting for a non-existing order all other places had closed. So much hassle! Oh! I almost forgot- 10 minutes into my order last night and I email Eat24 asking if the delivery person could call my cell research instead of knocking because it's hard to hear the door from my bedroom and they responded that they had relayed the message to the delivery person. Oh really? How'd they do that when it turned out the restaurant closed and never even processed my order. Never using this ap again, it's terrible.
