“Customer help would not admit or acknowledge mistake”

Order was delivered 1 hour early. The order was for 2 people and $144. Customer help would not acknowledge and when I sent them the receipt that was proof of delivery time they said it was not attached on e mail properly whatever that means. Avoid GRUBHUB if possible.

Absolutely worst experience I've ever had. They delivered the wrong order to us, and when I called to let them know and ask for our order to be re-delivered, they refused to set up ANY sort of compensation for our order and would not assist us in our second delivery at all. They have the WORST customer service I've ever seen, with entirely apathetic people on the line. They finish every sentence with "anything else I can help you with?" even though they never once provided any help to begin with. We waited 1 hour and did not receive our food, nor any credit to the account for a potential second attempt at ordering. Needless to say, I will never be ordering from grubhub again.

Don't look forward to the ONE thing you've been craving because it won't be in your bag. The other items you do end up receiving will be wrong and cold. Customer service will NOT help you at all and now 2 hours later you'll just be mad and hungry. Save your money, or just order a pizza.

I've been using grubhub for a while now, and never had a problem. Until the first time a restaurant failed to deliver, and I found out how terrible grubhub's customer service is. I'm still waiting for my refund.

We never received our order. After an hour and a half (originally 25-45 min expected time) GrubHub updated that the order was delivered. Yet, it was not. Called GrubHub and the lady barely spoke English, dogs barking in the background, she offered to cal the driver. Apparently he/she didn't answer, so offered a refund. Called the restaurant so they were aware and they just said sorry. As long as this restaurant only offers GrubHub as the delivery option, we won't be ordering again. Very disappointing.

I've used GrubHub only a handful of times and on two separate occasions, the food never arrived. They're easy with the refunds and apologies, but waiting an hour for food that does not arrive (then having to wait another hour for a new order) is not acceptable when there are other options that do a better job (Eat24 and Delivery.com).

Grub Hub driver did not come to my address. Circled my area as I seen on gps map for 20 minutes without calling for appropriate directions. Then give my food to someone else. I called Grubhub for some answers and they told me. Driver attempted to deliver the food and therefore it's nothing they would do. No refund nothing basically robbery without a gun. I'm been dealing with doordash for a year now and I'm happy for there service with no issues. That's my lesson trying to deal with unprofessional underdeveloped service providers (Grubhub) beware and do not use them warning

I ordered $100 worth of food from a restaurant with specific needs for specific dishes. There were people in the party that had allergies and or special request. When the order arrived, none of those special requests were paid attention to. When I called the restaurant, they totally blamed GrubHub. When I emailed GrubHub, I got zero response. Absolutely nothing. I promptly deleted my mobile app. Please do not use them. They are waste of time. They only care about making money and running. They do not care about their customers.

I placed an order for two meals and received a notice on my app that one of the meal was cancelled. No instructions about how to replace the meal. I called the restaurant and was left on hold. I texted the driver, and no response. I called customer service and was lectured about how I should have called them first. So after paying delivery fees and driver tip, we paid $30 for one meal to split between us. When I order grocery delivery they call me and let me know what they are out of and ask if I want to replace it. Grub Hub doesn't care. The drivers have always been great, but Grub Hub is not worth the extra cost or the extra frustration.

Placed an order w/ one of their restaurants. Estimated delivery was 40-50 min. At about 1 hour 15, I get a text saying my order was cancelled.

Can I review that restaurant? Of course not. I can view fake reviews, but I can't create one. I've spent an hour trying to figure out how to tell others to avoid this dumb-$#*! restaurant, but GrubHub wont' let me. It's done. I'm elsewhere.

I have used Grubhub more times than I can count, and have reached my limit. It is rarely ever on time, missing food items 25% of the time, and customer service doesn't seem to hold their drivers accountable for any of it. They blame the restaurant. If there are missing items, they do not replace the item, just refund what is missing. I work at a hospital and we don't get much time or opportunity to eat, so that process doesn't work for us. By the time we get our food and realize we have missing items, it's too late to get food somewhere else. Sorry Grubhub, but you lost a lot of customers today.

I have ordered from Grubhub several times and each time the order has been late. When I called customer service (they are in a different country) they read from a "script" and then call the driver. The drivers lie and make excuses which is the reason Grubhub has such a horrible rating. For example, I placed an order at 4:15pm and the driver passed the town where the restaurant is and went somewhere else doing God know what. The time changed to 5:21 - 5:31! I call customer service but they were not helpful. Grubhub will no longer get my business.

My wife and I ordered grub hub tonight the food was great the driver on the other hand lacks customer service and just general tact by the title of my review, Claudia sucks. Well yeah Claudia sucks and not in a good way. I was a bit annoyed that the driver took so long to deliver my food because she apparently got lost in apartment but didn't say as much then when she left after I said that it took so long I was annoyed by this she then began texting my wife and was being very nasty and annoying about it and harassing her which is terrible terrible customer service. Instead of telling us that she got lost she began making up lies that she had to go back-and-forth between the restaurant and other places to deliver other food, now I know how doordash works I do not know exactly how grub hub works but the fact of the matter is we could see her on the map sitting in the same location for 15 minutes, so, why lie, not hard just admit the truth.

I've had 3/5 of my orders late. My latest one took over 2 hours and never delivered! They never sent me any notifications or anything. They just simply didn't deliver. Every time I order it takes 1.5-2 hours. I've complained and emailed and customer service doesn't even care! They don't care about their customers. The least they have done is give a $5 credit that expires in 30 days. They don't apologize or give an explanation for their delay. This is the worst service I've ever experienced. Bitesquad isn't much better but at least when they screw up their credit doesn't expire. I will never recommend grubhub to anyone and I am not one to ever write reviews but I feel strongly about this! I just tried DoorDash for my first time and I highly recommend that instead :)

The only delivery company requiring you to pay a delivery fee during this fiasco. Also, you have a mandatory tip. I placed my order 53 minutes before the restaurant closed. The driver did not head to the establishment until 20 minutes before it closed. As soon as Deanna got there my order was cancelled because the establishment had closed. No one attempted to call me and let me know. The customer service representative only offered an apology. This was my first time using grubhub. Worse decision ever. Mind you, I am stuck at work and everything is closed now.

I have been the recipient of ads in my email for months now and so i finally decided to try and use a coupon for $10.00 off of a $15.00 or more order. My order was in the shopping cart and tried to checkout and apply the coupon but it ended with "Coupon code does not apply"... Why send out Bull$#*! that doesn't work or has fine print that disqualifies you. I probably would have ordered anyways but now i would rather starve that use this service. Misleading ads makes me pissed off and I also unsubscribed, so great job ad team, you get an F. Nothing tastes as good as the truth but it can be tough to swallow!

The service is terrible because the drivers are sent phone notifications, then they must drop whatever they are doing to go to multiple restaurants and then make multiple deliveries. A smart person would automatically know that by law food is allowed a total of 2 hrs before being deemed unsafe, grub hub is a bust! I filled out tha app to become a driver but after the math declined because as a driver I would earn less than minimum wage

Terrible customer service. I have been using delivery services for YEARS. I have never dealt with this level of incompetence with any other company. First and foremost, a website should know beforehand if a restaurant is closed for business. Instead of calling they send an email, after charging me to inform me they cannot reach the restaurant. Why not call immediately instead of waiting for a customer to check their email? I ask for credit so I can order from another restaurant. Nope, can't do that. Then I ask for a coupon for a future order. Nope, can't issue more than $2.00. First, that's clearly a lie and second, really? Give me the refund and I will take my business elsewhere. Never again. Done.

I Was overcharged nearly 20 dollars even after being told the delivery fee would be dropped from waiting more than 2 hours. I called. Waited on hold forever. Was told they charge the full amount to make sure it will clear. My order was only 29 dollars total even with the delivery charge. No where near the 46 they charged me. They are a ridiculous scam. I will never use these thieves again.

A $100 dollar order, many items missing or wrong. After an hour they can only credit, instead of just immediately fixing the issue. Pizza places have been doing this for decades. Missing items? Sorry sure we'll get those right to you.

Nope. I had to do a $#*!ing reconciliation on the receipt with the CS rep on the phone. To get a $#*! credit.

DO NOT USE GRUBHUB

Terrible the app sucks drivers apps hardly work. CS reps hardly speak English. They will let any restaurant advertise even if food disgusting. Uber eats is the best food app delivery service. Also if you have a GrubHub pass you still will get charged $1.99 for delivery fee so make sure that you're not being charged or you will have to call them like I have every single time I order from them.

I placed an order at a restaurant and had the order cancelled because the restaurant had no delivery driver that day... okay. Grubhub gave me a $5 credit for a future order, which I placed immediately since, you know, I was hungry. After placing my second order, at a different restaurant, I received a call directly from the restaurant saying they were "out" of one of the main items in my order. This is ridiculous. Maybe it's not GrubHub's fault for these two events, but being the company providing the ordering service, their website should have something in place to prevent circumstances like this from ever happening, especially with two orders placed back-to-back, on the same day.

Tip for consumers:
I guess if there's a problem with your first order, don't attempt to place another, just give up and either order directly from the company or find another route. Or you could avoid using their service at all.

Ordered last night and it took an hour and 15 minutes to receive the order for starters. When our order did arrive it was short 2 chicken sandwiches. The driver was still in front of my house and I waved to him. I asked if he had another bag which he responded with why? Are you short something? I said yeah, 2 sandwiches. He tells me that the restaurant is horrible and to contact GRUBHUB for a refund. I said that's not going to help as someone isn't having dinner. When I contacted GRUBHUB through the website they are only refunding 52 cents out of the $9.78 for the 2 sandwiches. Never again!

I am starving and my blood sugar is low to the point where I'm feeling light headed. I ordered food with Eat24 to be delivered because I can't leave work today and it's been way over an hour and there are still no signs of my food. I tried getting in contact with someone from Eat24 and it says that the chat is backed up because they're busy so I can't get in touch with anyone, and I'll get in touch with someone as soon as possible. It's been half an hour and it's still vee saying that. I tried having them contact me with the restaurant and nothing happened. After almost 2 hours I have cancelled my order, and they said they would send me an email regarding that and guess what? Still no email either! I want my money back and will not be using them again. I ended up ordering from a place by my work that I didn't really want to eat from, but at least I know they'll get here quick and it will be a sure thing, unlike this service!

I started my order by setting a delivery time 4 hours after placing the order. I completed the order and it clearly indicated that delivery would happen ASAP. That's not what I wanted, so I first called/texted the driver who did not respond, so I called the restaurant and they said the order had yet to be placed. I then tried to cancel the order, but Grubhub would not let me, because "the order was already placed", which was not true.
I contacted customer care via chat. There response was basically, "too bad for you." So, we got our food... 4 hours early. No help at all from Grubhub. Last time I'll use them.

Grub hub has the worst customer service ever. I recently ordered from them and was missing half my order and part was missing because they no longer had the item. Nobody called me to let me know this they just delivered it. If someone would have called me I would have ordered something else or cancelled the order. Instead they refunded me $5.86 on a $29 order. They refused to refund all the fees which is ridiculous. I have way better experiences with other food delivery apps. Going to steer clear of this one from now on.
