“Customer help would not admit or acknowledge mistake”

Order was delivered 1 hour early. The order was for 2 people and $144. Customer help would not acknowledge and when I sent them the receipt that was proof of delivery time they said it was not attached on e mail properly whatever that means. Avoid GRUBHUB if possible.

I haven't had a problem with this site until now and it was a big problem. Other than my food being over an hour late I could not even find someone to contact as to where my order was. It was ridiculous that my credit card was charged instantly but I could not find out where my order was. I tried calling the customer service line several times only to be put on hold forever. I will NEVER use grubhub again

In Chicago a lot of restaurants refer you to Grubhub if you want delivery. If a restaurant lets me order directly from them I do, but sometimes resort to Grubhub. It's a great idea, until you have to contact their customer service. If a restaurant doesn't deliver your food or if the grubhub driver goes AWOL (both have happened to me more than once) and you have to contact them, their phone wait times are very long, and their support is bad. They don't refund money even when they say they will, they promise you free grub coupons but do not send it. They are not very polite. It sounds like they have 6 scripted responses, and when you ask anything off script they're very rude.

This company has such awful customer service. They have no clue that restaurants are not accepting orders from them take your money then try and offer 20 dollar discount... they took money from and elderly woman... made her wait an hour for her order then lied and said the restaurant was closed. When I called the restaurant said we are opened. And oh grub hub will refund the 70 dollars in a week. What a crock of nonsense. The restaurant is santiagos in federal heights colorado.

About 1 in 10 deliveries are even close to warm. My last to Deliveries have been from the same idiot who doesn't care. He likes to drive around with you're orders in his air conditioned car for 45 minutes without a heat bag. Brought this to Grubhubs attention the first time and what do they do to show they care. They send him to pick up my very next order. We'll this time I recorded him admitting he had no warmer bag while laughing and then flipping me off. This the trash Grubhub hires

I am writing this review after several experieces with Grubhub. They have about a 50% hit rate. My most recent experience involved ordering through Yelp and their partner, Grubhub. Funds deducted from account with no confirmed order. Chatted with Grubhub, and they only offer 2-3 day dispute resolution. It's just a monument PIA. Just use them for the menu, then call the restaurant directly and order. 5 years and they are still not ready for primetime. Save yourself the stress...

Please never In your life order from Grub hub. I am in Los Angeles and this is the 3rd time I had a problem with them. They simply stole my order and did not text once even though I texted many times. The customer service there is horrific. I don't know how they haven't filed BK. I only used them because they went to the restaurant I wanted to order from. Why do drivers bother working if they steal and get fired.? The manager refused to call the driver and ask what happened. I will never use grub hub again. I would rather eat dog food than take a chance again. Door dash is better. None of them are perfect but door dash is usually okay. They never stole my order and money.

I ordered kfc through grub hub and I live less than ten minutes from kfc and it has taken over a hour to get my food. I feel grub hub has let me down and I will find another food delivery that can be more timely so my food won't be cold when it arrives

This isn't a repeat of other reviews. It's just another 1 star because I can't give a zero. We ordered dinner at 6:30 and called at 9 PM because we never heard from them. After much confusion, the lady said it would be another 45 minutes. We canceled. I guess we'll find out whether the charge to our credit card is canceled.

My wife received a grubhub gift card for $100. Great we thought, let's order something. Our favorite Thai restaurant is ~3 miles away. We tried to use the app. We entered the card number, got credit on the app, filled out a large order for food, the went to the checkout page, the check box to apply gift card didn't work. It just blinked and unchecked the box. Three "customer service" reps later they couldn't fix it. They are all former MacDonalds employees apparently. None knew how the software works. Finally went to the website instead and was able to enter it but NO Delivery! I will NEVER use GrubHub again.

Check the restaurant menu price versus Grubhub as prices vary greatly.

Hunan Taste -- Denville NJ (Grubhub vs menu prices) + fees and more fees.
Sorry but being broke isn't convenient.

Shrimp roll 3.95 becomes 4.95
Egg roll 3.95 becomes 4.95
Gen Tso Chicken 19.95 becomes 22.95
Chicken & Broccoli 18.95 becomes 19.95

Then there is a 3.49 delivery fee and 6.86 service fee

Now the system recommends a $12 driver tip for a 10 min delivery on top of 10.30 in fees and $6 in mark ups on a $50 meal for 2.

Sorry but I am going back to old school -- I will call the order in and go pick it up (20 min). Guaranteed no food tampering, no cold food and save $12+10.30+6=$28.30 in fees on a $50 order.

Completely insane how greedy these companies have become.

I want to like this service, but it is such a hit or miss. Customer service is lackadaisical and couldn't care less about delivery issues. I'm finished hoping my order is correct or that the food will arrive at some point. What a waste of time.

I tried to give GH the benefit if the doubt, but I've had too many cancelled orders and deliveries where they kept pushing out the delivery time more than 2 hours. This last time their excuse was they were short on drivers. I can understand that, but dont confirm delivery times of 30-45 mins if you're going to keep pushing the delivery time out more than an hour after initial time stated. Hey didnt even let me know when the order was pushed back. When our food was never delivered, they would not refund us the tip to the driver who never delivered the food! Terrible service. Untrustworthy company. Please use any other food delivery service.

I'm shocked by all of the negative reviews. I suspect that some are blaming GH when the blame should go to the restaurants. Once an item was missing. The restaurant wouldn't make it right, but GH gave us a $5 credit. We've used GH many times.

Tip for consumers:
Sort restaurants by distance. Your food will be warmer, if it doesn't have to travel far.

The worst. We waited an hour when it said 35 minutes. Called bob Evans said our order had been ready for 45 minutes and was cold. Called grubhub spoke with supervisor Oliver who was worthless. Never use again in maumee ohio

Used them two times both times
Late, wrong items ordered and cold.
A winning combination.
Don't use them get off your butt and get it yourself. Grubhub doesnt care about the customers or they would give some training to there subs/ delivery boys & girls. Both times the deliveries were done with people that didnt speak English. If you need some help Grubhub I could help I run a fortune 500 company.
Both times i received refund how are they making $$$$

As a matter of fact, the restaurant is now selling lunch and I ordered breakfast a long time ago. If this is the business Matt Maloney set up, it will fail over time. Customers, like myself with millions of followers, will recommend exactly what I am recommending, that Grubhub be last on their list for a food delivery company. Grubhub cannot be trusted to deliver hot fresh food within a reasonable time frame. Last, their site dies not have a way for customers with unsatisfactory results to review the company. Matt, this needs to be corrected immediately. Food order# **************.

You have to set up an acct. They want way too much personal info. It took forever to just order a sandwich. I actually had to call them on the phone. Not worth the time. Stick with the other delivery businesses.

Grub Hub didn't deliver. Lied about delivery actually and then some..., they have been getting worse then today came. Been a long time frequent customer... no food... 5 day refund and no apology till stated so... no appreciation... not a complainer but they pissed me off today... and will no longer... adios GrubHub...

First time using this service I am really disappointed all started with 40 minutes arrival then all suddenly became 95 minutes call restaurant said it was ready then call GrubHub customer service the damn guy sounded like a computer keep repeating it self voice recording

Food came with a used piece of toilet paper. I called and complained, and they patched me through to the CEO, Matt Maloney, who told me he found out that I didn't vote the way he wanted in the presidential election and instructed his drive to "preach tolerance" to me. Never using again!

48 hours ago, GrubHub had a reasonable esteem among customers and workers. As a result of the incomprehensible actions of the past 24 hours, this company has harmed itself for many years to follow. Asking employees to quit over political affiliation, when the job has nothing to do with politics, is a rather blatantly immoral thing to do. It is probably even a violation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as well as EEOC guidelines.
A commitment to a diverse workforce includes not only diversity of identity, but diversity of opinion. When these opinions have no effect whatsoever on the quality of the employee and services rendered unto the customer, there is literally no reason whatsoever for the expulsion of good employees with opinions that are deemed undesirable by out-of-touch C-level executives. This company deserves no respect because it attempts to stamp out free thought within its ranks. It is beyond irresponsible.

I ordered a sandwich and requested the driver wash his hands before handling food and wear a mask because I have hear disease. Grubhub immediately cancelled my order. I reordered without the request and the sandwich was delivered by someone not wearing a mask. Grubhub's web site garbage about protecting us is BS.

No issues with orders except if your account gets hacked they do nothing. I've dealt with customer service twice to get my money back and both times they've said they sent it up to get escalated. Supposedly it will only take 24-48hours and after week I still haven't heard anything back from them. I will probably not use Grubhub again because I can't trust their site or them fixing the issues.

I will never use grubhub. Driver took 20 mins to deliver meals and restaurant is only 5 mules away. It was short one kids meal. Restaurant said manager and bar manager confirmed all my food was in the bag for delivery but meal was missing upon delivery. Driver would not go back aND deliver us missing kids meal. I had to go get it myself. Very upset and won't ever use service again

I order from a restaurant 5 minutes from my house. I do this many times because that way I get hot food. The driver went to another part of SF to pick up other orders. The food just got here, cold and soggy. When I saw the driver headed to another part of the city, I contacted him and he told me they have to pick up multiple orders. I tried to cancel, talked to a supervisor, and they would not cancel. They offered me a small future discount to go with my cold and late food.
