“Customer help would not admit or acknowledge mistake”

Order was delivered 1 hour early. The order was for 2 people and $144. Customer help would not acknowledge and when I sent them the receipt that was proof of delivery time they said it was not attached on e mail properly whatever that means. Avoid GRUBHUB if possible.

I've tried this survive 2x and both times my order was never delivered as they canceled it after an hour or more of waiting and chatting with customer service. Then telling me that can't refund me but offer a 50% off next time. Pass! Terrible customer service and $#*!ty delivery.

Wow worst customer service ever! Food never came so finally was told we would be credited. We are just out of luck getting food. I was text saying to call the driver she was having issues finding out location. But it went to voicemail all 12 times we tried to call - no answer on texts. So we are just out of luck- guess driver got free food. We did not get anything no sorry the driver did not answer no lets give you a credit or we will get you something to eat so your not stuck at your office for the next 5- 6 hrs without food!

I never write reviews but this place is lucky to even get a 1 star. Ordered a meal... texted that would be late. Ordered at 8:39 pm. Then was texted would arrive between 9-10. The was texted it would be 10-10:55... insane. Called after trying to maneuver their tricky website. The person that answered apologized and stated there are no drivers in the area. Did the restaurant make the food and it is sitting there getting cold? Geez, give me a break. Lies, Lies, Lies...
Please folks stay away. If not I hope you have a better experience but after reading these reviews, which I should have done good luck. I'll just eat a can of soup. What a joke... never again.

Grub Hub CEO is way above us all. I mean, how can we little people compare to his genius?! I'm afraid to order anything. I might order the wrong way and he wouldn't like it and then he'd fire me as a customer. It's better that no one use this service at all! You know, just in case we aren't up to his very high standards..

Orders are always late. DoorDash is superior and that's not saying much. I get Grubhub+ for free with prime and I'm considering PAYING for dash pass again because Grubhub is so terrible.

This company lacks the basic infrastructure and back end support to provide the services. They charged me an additional 4.36 without telling me. I spent an hour with customer support before getting my money back. I've had several issues with food not being delivered (and never being contacted - by11:00pm, it was too late to order from somewhere else. I had to call GrubHub to find out why the order was stalled on being prepared despite the restaurant being closed for upwards of 30 minutes). The most troubling thing about this whole experience is that I had been quoted 3 totally different amounts that had been charged at various points in my transaction. Disorganized at best and criminal at worst. Stay away unless you want to lose an hour of your life trying to get your money back.

I can never rate any orders for some reason and the app filled in my name with an incorrect one. They also have poor customer service and tjey cant give a reason as to why myself and many others cannot leave any ratings or reviews. How can yoh hold restaurants accountable without reviews?

This guy is symptomatic of this period where young arrogant $#*!s blunder into something prosperous and, not appreciative enough of wealth, they seek fame or influence through political efforts.

This guy should become a textbook example for future start up novice CEO's to STFU and do their jobs. "imaginalis"

This is the 3rd or 4th time this has happened. I place an order with GH and they call an hour later and ask if I have received my food yet (I haven't) so
They ask if I still want it. By then the restaurant I'd ordered from is closed. So I cancel. My card is still charged but my money is returned with 48 hours. Just bad customer service and seems like incompetent people run/manage this business.

I ordered food two days prior to a business and scheduled delivery. I decided to try a $10 offer for new customers. First of all, it would not accept the email link requiring me to contact customer service who gave me a code. I went to use the code and it didn't work requiring me to contact customer service again. I was told I would see the $10 credit on my bank card within a few days. It took almost an hour to resolve all of this.
Even worse, the day of my meeting, Less than one hour before the food was to be delivered I receive a notice that the order was cancelled and they would not be able to deliver. ONE hour! Too late to order food online and have it delivered.

Placed order for food while traveling and after 40 min when I requested update restaurant called and let me know food was sitting on counter waiting for Eat24 driver. Eat24 told me it was the restaurants delivery service that was causing delay, Turns out restaurant does not have delivery service and Eat24 did not have a driver for the area. I will never use this service again. Two hours later and we had to start an order from scratch using Caviar. STAY AWAY from this service!

Ordered food with delivery time one hour. Gtwo and a half hours later cold, hard, inedible food delivered. $1.00 plus. Requested remake or sub less than paid and told too busy but would credit $7.00. Responsed: deli ver edible food in timely manner or credit total amount... NO RESPONSE

DISCLAIMER: While this review is about Grubhub, many commeny could be stimulated by local/regional issues (overall poor food and service from local restaurants).

1) The fees tacked onto orders, as much as $10 is prohibitively high.

2) Delivery in general is at least an hour, from retaurants that are within 10 minute walking distance (for someone who is ambulatory).

3) Once I ordered with a credit card, I was forced to continue this payment method (cash option not offered).

4) The worst is the review/star ratings. Four and a half star for a restaurant that is below par in many respects. In general, at least for local restaurants, the rating system is an inflated joke.

Well, I'm intoxicated and was looking for a place to deliver subs. Saw Grub Hub and was like awesome. Ordering was easy, chose what i wanted and put in my order. The estimated delivery time was really long though; about an hour and a half. As I'm waiting, i'm starting to wonder if I just plugged my information into a scam site since i never used this service before. So, what's a man gonna do? GOOGLE! I googled "what is Grub Hub", a bunch of stuff popped up, and of course these lousy reviews. I immediately regretted the order cause i'm hungry as a MOFO. Then, my door bell rang, 45 min later, perfect order. Food in my face, grub in my gut. Guess reviews aren't everything.

What is so hard to be a go between and fetch a food order from point A to point B? Well you'll need to ask the dumbbells at grubhub. The last (and I mean "the last" 3 of 4 orders were either cancelled or incomplete. They do of course bill for the complete order, they never forget that! We've not yet tried door dash but have to try. Can no long rely on "DUH-HUB"

Your app needs better estimate time of delivery. Your algorithm sucks. I waited over an hour and a half and my order was not processed at the restaurant. Stop pushing the estimated time of delivery out by 10 minutes. Maybe you should have have the restaurant process the order and deliver the estimated time. I doubt I would use your service again.

Waited delivery for 90 minutes, 30 minutes extra than the limit they informed on the app. Called the restaurant, they said the food was already there and they didn't know when it would be delivered. They told me to call GrubHub if I wanted to cancel... I called and was told I could not post a review to the restaurant... meaning they are protecting bad service from restaurants, meaning you cannot trust any review on their website.

After placing a $107 order, delivery was promised within 60-70 minutes, ok with me.
Received another message 40 minutes later indicating my food is on the way and will be delivered early by 15 minutes, Yay!
4 minutes later another message that order will deliver 15-20 minutes later than last message, order reassigned to a different driver, the original driver "rejected" my order.
30 minutes later another message advised "something went wrong" and my order had been canceled.
How does this company stay in business?
For my trouble and inconvenience I was offered a 15% discount on my next order, ridiculous considering I had to scramble at the last minute to find dinner for starving couple.

First time ordering, said 45 to 55mins for delivery. It ended up getting pushed back multiple times and got up to 2hrs! Contacted support, they were not any help at all. Told me they were still trying to find someone to deliver my food even though I knew it had been sitting there for almost an hour. Only help they gave was I could cancel the order. Couldn't cancel because it was too late to get food anywhere else and I had no transportation. Food arrived ice cold as predicted. Forty bucks in the trash! Would give zero stars if I could

I decided to use GrubHub under the impression that their service is great and convenient. Found out they are undependable and inconvenient. Order was EXTREMELY late. Do I blame the food establishment? No. GrubHub put in the wrong address and yes, the establishment went there instead of the correct place. Will I use them again? No. In a nice way of putting it.

Multiple times I've tried to used grubhub and something always goes wrong. We ordered food and grubhub continued to push the time back that our food would be delivered. Had to call the restaurant and they said our food had been ready for some time and that no driver had accepted the order. Also, the place was closing soon so I ended up going to get the food myself. We've been in the middle of ordering food from a restaurant, completed the order but the restaurant was not longer accepting online orders. You can't get the website to have it notice you if this happens in the middle of an order.
This service sucks. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

This ordering services apparently tacks on fees and additional cost to regular menu items. Which would be fine, if the payoff was there, but it isn't. They have a "Yummy Rummy" app that never works, an " Order Tracker" app that never works, and a chat version of customer service that is completely apathetic and ineffective. Add this to the deliveries that always take over an hour to arrive, even though they're 1.5 miles away, and the delivery guy who isn't used to delivering stuff and looks like he's the owner's uncle and always manages to forget your eggroll or soda or whatever, and you've got a big friggin' NOPE.

As Grubhub has grown they're service has gotten worse. Due to my job, I often used Grubhub about 3x a week since they arrived in Seattle. The larger they've gotten the worse the service. In the last six months I've had problems with not all my order arriving, having it take over an hour and a half to arrive, and it not arriving at all. Each time they apologize and tell me they are sending me a $10 food coupon online. They never do. Tonight was the final straw. They told me my food was on the way, then extended the delivery time, then when an hour and a half had gone by and I called they first informed me it had been delivered then informed me the order had been cancelled. They promise they will refund my money but I am not holding my breath. There are now so many other food delivery services out there that I will be changing my delivery service. I'm done waiting for them to work out the kinks in their system.

GrubHub, please teach your ignorant drivers how to use a call box outside of an apartment building. Find the name & press call. It is not rocket science. It defeats the purpose of DELIVERY if you have to come outside & meet the driver! Ridiculous & Ignorant.

One word to describe this services... SUCKS! If you want to have lunch at noon then I recommend ordering at 9 am. They take forever! If you are lucky and they send the order to the restaurant. I ordered an hour and a half ago and still haven't received my food. Then i called the restaurant and they told that they never got any order from eat24! You guys SUCKS BIG TIME! People do yourself a favor and do not order from here!
