Order was delivered 1 hour early. The order was for 2 people and $144. Customer help would not acknowledge and when I sent them the receipt that was proof of delivery time they said it was not attached on e mail properly whatever that means. Avoid GRUBHUB if possible.
I ordered &pizza it took two and a half hours and when it came it was cold. I was mad as hell. The was my second time I ordered from them. The first time it never came ( I should have known). Never again. I guess I have to try Doordash. Or pick it up myself.
Ordered at 415pm, initial delivery ETA was 450-510. Every time I checked status, they had added on another 1/2 hour. At 615pm I called the restaurant and was advised a driver never came to pick up the order. I advised the restaurant that I would be contacting Grubhub to cancel the order. I contacted Grubhub via online chat and told them exactly everything I explained above, including that I wanted to cancel my order. I don't know what's going on with Grubhub lately, I have never had this issue before. Now I see a lot of similar reviews. They sent me a coupon to use on my next order, but I don't think I will be using them again, at least until whatever is causing this problem is fixed

They provide zero support, zero communication, antiquated technology, insanely exorbitant customer fees and the lowest driver pay in the industry (I also deliver for DoorDash and Uber eats and earn TRIPLE with them what I earn with grubhub.) Grubhub charges their customers more than the other guys AND pays their drivers less- all while providing the hands-down worst driver and consumer experiences in the industry. They won't last much longer at this rate!

Unreliable waste of time -- you will be hungry for hours waiting for your food to never arrive. The platform gives you notifications that your food has been picked up, that your food will arrive soon. But the food never comes and customer support does not say why. They will only tell you that the driver will not answer the phone. They dont have reliable drivers. I theorize that grubhub will take any driver they can get because they have so many orders. There is probably zero vetting process for drivers. Once a driver gets hungry they take the food and that is that. Grubhub, a multi billion dollar company is making so much money on the high volume of orders, that they dont care if 10-20 percent of drivers are unreliable or are scamming the company and customers of their food. What a trash delivery service. Please never use grubhub. If you own stock, sell it.
I ordered for pizza delivery on Eat 24 website. I received email confirmation, and everything seemed fine. I called the pizza place a few hours before delivery to confirm, and they never received my order. I contacted Eat 24, and they finally found the order after some searching. They called the pizza place, who said they would need the order faxed over. Eat 24 said they could not fax since the order was prepaid. When I asked why this happened, they apologized and said that preorders can only be seen by managers. It made no sense at all. I cancelled the order and called the pizza place directly to place the order. It was actually less expensive. I probably won't ever use Eat 24 again. They are just not reliable.
The dang Shrimp heads were still on the salt and pepper shrimp and they were too slimy to get off, the war won ton soup had fried wontons in it, the sweet and sour pork was undercooked, cold and wasn't pork but chicken, chow mien was also cold and undercooked, dumplings look like they had been sitting around for days cold and falling apart. WORST experience. It says no delivery fee but I was charged 8.00 WTHECK horrid. I ordered enough for three days lunches and threw it all away
It is been over 2hours since it says that the order was being delivered, the restaurant I had ordered from was 4miles away. I'm not from where I ordered so that's why, delivery. All the management wanted to do was a $10 coupon or a refund with either a cancel or only if the order was COLD!
I placed an order and never received it. I did get a message about a delay and change of time. After they changed the delivery time I still never received the order. Sent a message for help and they still didn't help me.
We ordered from our favorite sandwich shop on Mother's Day. Order of over $150 (in sandwiches!). After an hour passed, and checking the status multiple times, the map showed they were in route. Another 45 minutes passed by (the deli is just 5 minutes away). Finally, I call GrubHub, they couldn't find my order, even though my card was charged and I gave them an order number. After $20 minutes on hold while they tried to find my order to no avail. I finally told them to refund my money and thanks for ruining our mother's day dinner. They of course apologized and offered me $5.00 off my next order. WTF?!? $5.00 off my next order, I will NEVER use their service again. Come to find out, the sandwich shop was closed on Mother's Day, yet GrubHub still took my money and wasted our time.
After almost 3 hours we canceled the order with the driver. We had multiple delivery times given and all were missed. The car circled our house within a block multiple after the tracker said they picked up. Another 1.5 hours and I finally called (this a long story short) and told the driver - Do Not Deliver, Cancel the order. They did the cancel and I got a refund text and email. Which is why this is 2 star. But my God, friends over left, my son and friends waiting waiting waiting... wife unhappy. Why? First time using a food delivery service and the last for a long time thanks to this experience. Unfortunate during this pandemic and its limitations.
So I accidentally put in an order before it was ready and I was charged for it right away, and thanks to the website being so easily navigated it was so easy to change it and get the right order submitted and refunded for the wrong one. Thankful and impressed
Just waited almost an hour for my food and then the rude driver basically told me I needed to come find him because he couldn't see the apartment numbers. Then he just took my food back to the place I ordered it from. I've literally never had this issue with Doordash. Customer service was absolutely no help. I was only using Grubhub because we got a giftcard for Christmas but NEVER AGAIN.
This is the 3rd. Time and LAST that I order receive notification order's been delayed and after waiting 20 to 40 mins receive an order's been cancelled note. Unreliable & customer service is non-existent!
This company likes to cancel orders without telling the customer that the order's been canceled. Their customer service thinks everything is real funny. Make sure you don't order anything from this garbage $#*! company.
Do not use this company! They cut corners to save money and cheat their drivers! I drove 16 miles round trip to pick up an order and the restaurant was closed. I provided the necessary info (picture of store hours from restaurant door) and canceled the order in the driver app. They are supposed to compensate me for my time and mileage, but refused. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THAT! (they have paid me in the past for this exact same situation). F*CK this company! Use UberEats instead! They're better!
Grubhub indicated they are associated with a restaurant in Holly Springs to which they are not contracted. The tracker app shows that the order was being prepared, they were on their way to pick it up, that they had picked it up and then BAM - your order has been cancelled. Kudos to Acme Pizza for taking my order and delivering in a timeline manner for much less than GrubHub. Shame on you Grubhub - I won't be giving you a second chance.
Driver text me multiple times and whined about her life out of the blue. Kept texting that its taking a long time. Also told me "So much for making a living" Then I get an email from Grub Hub that my order was unexpectedly canceled. I text the driver and asked if she canceled my order and she did not text back. Oddly the food was from a local reputable business in Portland called Portland Pie. I did not hear back from driver so I ordered it from Portland Pie as they delivered and it will be here in 1/2 hour and it was much cheaper than Grub Slug.
Grub Slug sucks
My food sat outside in the cold bc the driver couldn't be bothered to simply knock or ring the doorbell. Seriously, it's the very least you could do. This is not an Amazon order. It WAS hot food. It's hard to believe I have to write this, but it would be great if you could at least ring the doorbell or knock when you drop off food. This is all you deliver, shouldn't be too much to ask.

Every time I place an order, the delivery time keeps getting extended several times until three hours later I either receive my food cold, or they cancel the order! Door dash is just as bad.

I ordered from a couple appetizers from a restaurant three blocks away & was quoted 30 minutes. Almost two hours later, the food wasn't here so I tried to contact the company & received no response. I asked for a refund and it's been four days and I still haven't gotten a response! I had to do a charge back on my credit card.
Grubhub attempted to committ theft on me. They did not come to my door to deliver my food. They waited on the street with me not even knowing they were there and then left. When i called to get a refund they told me i would only get 50% reimbursed because i "sacrificed" my order. Grubhub is pathetic! Dont use it. Youre better off starving because at least you will still have your money. Zero 0000 stars! Not 1. ZERO
So, Grubhub can take your money and verify that they get paid, but apparently they can't verify your order I was missing multiple items, and when the driver got here, it was basically, sorry, I can't help you, call the restaurant or Grubhub. BTW, thanks for the tip, my words, not hers.
They put all the cold and hot food in 1 bag, my salad, ketchup and ranch was warm and my hot food was cold. Got a message saying it was leaving the restaurant, and would be here at a certain time, came 30 mins after it was suppose to be here. So not the restaurants fault cause I called them and they said thats how Grubhub does it, they put Hot and Cold food in the same bag and others have complained it wasnt on time. Sucky delivery method. Should have picked it up.
I got an email saying, "You just scored 2 months of free delivery and $10 off your next Grubhub order!" So, I always like a good deal, so I "activated" an account, ordered takeout from a local restaurant expecting to see a $10 credit on my order and since I didn't see it, I went to chat with Grubhub. After approximately a half hour I was told that I should "place" my order and then the $10 off would appear. IT DID NOT! I told the chat guy what happened and he said he would take it a level higher to deal with the issue. After 15 minutes more, I "hung up" in exasperation. Later they sent and email telling me I had to "activate" AGAIN, order another takeout and THEN I would get the discount. As they say, "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me." The food was pretty good, but I never would have ordered any take out without this discount. So, do your self a favor, when you get any promotional offers from Grubhub, send them to your trash folder!
