I went to the Canadian Guinness site to look at their products. The site had " free delivery over $85" on it.
I ordered over $85 worth of clothing. They charge me $30 delivery ( about 30% 0f what I spent!)
I emailed them and played email tag with them for several days. Eventully they told me all orders to Canada have a shipping fee. That was not mentioned on their "free shipping over $85" on their site.
Tonight I went to the UPS site to track my purchase and there is an alert there saying i owe another $24 in shipping and taxes. I already paid the tax on the purchase, I already paid $30 shipping. Now they want another $24.
And the worst of it is now I will have all these Guinness clothes that I don't want to wear because i am absolutely disgusted with Guinness. One would expect a company that has been around so long, has such a big popular name would not rip off customer's like some fly-by-night joint.
Tip for consumers:
1) they should have let the customer know that there was a shipping charge to Canada no matter how much you spend.
2) I have no idea why, after paying shipping and taxes, UPS is now telling me I owe more shipping and taxes.
