So I needed to cop a new guitar cuz my old one was all busted and stuff, you know how it be. Anywayz, I headeded to Guitar Center and damn they got mad optons yo! I ended up grabin' this sick Fender Strat and it's like butter bro, sooo smooth to play. The guys at Guitar Center was mad chill and hooked it up wit a discount too which was flame. No cap, they know they stuff and helped me get exactly what I needed. Solid expireance overall, deffly reccomend Guitar Center if u need any music gear frfr. Aight peace!
Once again, I was scammed by this company and left holding the bag. This time, with a mesa amplifier. The item started malfunction ing right after the "return window". Shocker. It kept getting worse, guitar center refuses any connection to it, and refuses to address this issue in any way other than "should have paid hundreds for our pro coverage." Avoid these people. Sweetwater always honors their deals, and always goes above and beyond to make sure the customer is taken care of. Go through them instead. I have had guitar center clsoe my account, and remove all data from their back end. Scammers till the end as per usual.
Just try to unsubscribe from this CO. You can't through the website. I called 2X.They said I was removed. I still, after almost a week waiting, get one to two emails a day. I even forwarded one of their emails back to them as they requested. No luck. This company needs help with their own day-to-day communication operations. If you are reading this, Guitar Center, I promised that I would keep giving bad reviews and telling people not to shop with you, if you did not unsubscribe me.
February 2023, I purchased a Bose 900 sound bar with 700 base module and items were back ordered. The following week, I found this Bose System 200.00 cheaper. I called for a price match refund and Lily credited my guitar center credit card for 219.90. In March they shipped my base module to me and recharged the 219.90 price match refund back to my guitar center credit card. As of today 7/8/23, they have Not corrected the charge. Terrible to do business with and they are Not to be trusted. I never gave they permission to charge 219.90 back to my credit card and Synchrony Bank hasn't corrected the problem either
This karaoke speaker sounds terrific. It came with two wireless mikes that work perfectly with the machine. It also has two ports for wired mikes. We tried it out already and everyone was delighted to participate. The sound quality sounds professional with the mikes provided and the karaoke machine speakers. I recommend this to my family and friends.
Try to unsubscribe from their email subscription--good luck jumping through all the hoops they've laid out to get in your way. The most honest companies will automatically unsubscribe you when you click the link from inside of your email at the bottom of the message. Guitar Center? Wants you to login to manage your preferences. Then, the menu doesn't clearly show where to manage email subscription. After fishing around on the site for a few minutes looking for it, there's a page that says "look under Alerts and Subscriptions" to change preferences. Go to the menu, there's actually not a button called "Alerts and Subscriptions", there is one called just "Alerts". "Subscriptions" is a sub-category under the "Alerts" button. THEN, go there, and they are saying to call a phone number that has limited business hours in order to complete the unsubscribe process. Barrier after barrier has been erected by these conmen to get in between you and exiting their email list. Dishonest and annoying
Be Careful... They show on their website to have items "in-stock and ready to ship", then a few days later you will get an email saying that the item is "back ordered". I had to cancel my order (they never even give you the option to when they tell you your order has been "backordered"). I even let the phone associate know that this was not cool, and the website needs to reflect if they ACTUALLY have it in stock or not! Lucky my order was not for a present or something cause I would have been really upset. Went to a competitor and got my order without any issues. Fix your website, no more bait and switch!
I had an issue with what was supposed to be a same day in store pickup order that was changed to ship to store. The delivery date didn't work for when the item was needed so I reached out to see what could be done. Rather than direct my order to another store where the item was avaialble they gave me thier canned 'we're sorry and appreciate your business' response you'll see on all these reviews and proceeded to jerk me around until my order was supposed to be delivered. On the day it was scheduled to arrive I recieve the shipping notification of a delay but just for fun I decided to head to the store as I really needed the item. Low and behold its there sitting on a shelf covered in dust...they didn't even try to fulfill my order or have the store check inventory. Go elsewhere when looking for whatever gear your interested in. They do not value you as a customer.
1 star only because there isn't an option to go negative.

I have bought keyboards, drum sets (2), harmonicas all from Guitar Center and have always loved them until I was on the hunt for a left-handed mandolin for my husband. When I saw the prices for a lefty verses a right handed one I was shocked. That is so ridiculous to charge almost double the price just because someone is left-handed. I'll never shop with GC again.
Ordered 3 sets of strings + a free tuner. Two months later, they cancelled the order because the item was out of stock. They still had plenty of strings and tuners, and tried to sell me strings alone for more money, or strings and a tuner for even more, but insisted that they couldn't fulfil my order because they were out of the "bundle." What a complete scam. Customer service was rude and disingenuous, wasting over an hour of my time and refusing to fill my original order. Proof of purchase cut and pasted from email confirmation.

On Nov. 28th, 2022 I ordered a Martin 000-28 Acoustic. I returned it because well just look at the pictures and see for yourself. I ordered the second one. Same thing but way worse. I returned the second one and stupid me thought ok one more time, third time is a charm, right? Wrong! Not only did I receive the third one but it was the same one I had ordered the first time! Same box that had been opened and MY shipping tape was still on it! SAME! I spoke to 4 different people about the issues. Not once did any of them apologize. One guy even told me that is just the way they are making them! So I sit and wait on them to credit my bank account. SWEETWATER, here I come! I should have gone with them the first time around. They actually show you pictures of the one you are going to buy before you buy it so you can check it out! Santa will be late coming to my house but that's ok with me.

Bought a new ddj 1000 srt white. Came & found out it is an open box with scratches on the controller. Called the customer service & they don't have any new ones at the warehouse or in stores. These people are selling open boxes at new item price.
Ordered Jackson Js22. Waited a week to get a conformation about shipping, never got it. Called GC reps & they said my guitar would be there the following Monday. Waited another week called again. This time the guitar had apparently been discontinued after guitar center assured me twice that it would be here. They charged my account twice... Now have to wait another week just for the refund to come back. Even a one star review is highly overrated for this company.
I was trying to buy a last minute birthday gift. Called to verify it was in stock, gentleman was very nice on the phone and said they put it to the side for me. I bought a guitar online so I could finance it through PayPal. It's been 7 hours and it is still not ready to pickup, so I will have to give the gift late.
I've been emailing with an Eric Eldridge with guitar center and he sent me a bad Ibanez and won't exchange it for me. I took my guitar into guitar center to get looked at and they didn't recognize they sent me a bad one. Instead charged me $100 for a horrible setup and sent me on my way. Very unhappy customer with Eric and guitar center. Don't ever buy from them. Sweetwater seems to care more about their customers than guitar center.
I ordered a fender acoustic guitar for my wife as a gift said same day pick up as well I got a electronic drum set to mess around with over 500$ for the Oder and it's definitely not same day even tho they have the product in store. If your going to offer same day pick up it should be the same day
Love it or hate it, guitar center tends to have the best prices - It's a big corporation (kind of the Wal-Mart of music stores), so it makes it impossible for mom and pop stores to keep up, but let's face it, musicians are poor and are kind of forced to find the cheapest stuff possible. Therefore, like the lower class shopping at Wal-Mart, I also have to swallow the big fat pill and shop there. But, their 30 day money back gaurantee is a sweet feature, and I've stuck it to them many times by buying stuff, using it at gigs or whatnot, and returned it when I can't afford to buy it yet. Like a free rental!

On Drew Street. I have now been sold broken items actually 5 times in a
Row now. I took one guitar that was sent broken to guitar center on Drew
Street to fix. The guitar repair luthier is an idiot the part was on the wall behind
Him for 9 dollars and he was waiting for same part from Gibson. After five weeks,
I went got it and fixed it myself. Speaker stands with missing parts I could go on and on
So I no longer shop there and what a big improvement.
Class-action lawsuit. A business operating under the guise of a legitimate business, set out to lie and betray customers is reprehensible. Falsifying in-stock items, selling used equipment as new, to profit over the expense of customer fulfillment, lackluster customer service, all serve to earn permanent closure of Guitar Center.
Got into the store and had to wait 20 minutes to be helped by an associate when I was the only customer waiting. For the first 10 minutes there were no employees at the register at all and it was only when I asked for help from a stocking employee that I was able to receive assistance. They did not have the item in stock so I had to order it through their website at the store. I was told it would be shipped to my house to save me the 1:30 it takes me to get to this store and back to my house. When I got home I received an electronic receipt saying the delivery would be shipped to the store and I'd have to pick it up. I called in to check about this and was told that nothing could be done and I'd have to make the drive once again. Absolutely terrible service 10/10 will not do this again.
So I ordered about $1300 worth of equipment, half from Guitar Center and half from Amazon. After receiving my order from Amazon and making numerous calls to Guitar Center, my order had still not shipped. Finally I called to cancel my order and change it to Amazon and the said it had shipped. So about a week after that, I started getting my packages. All was there until I opened one of the guitar stands, and it was missing a main piece. I've emailed them 3 times about it and they have said let's set up a return. I don't need to go through the month of returning it and wait for another one. All I want them to do is send me the missing part. Still waiting... I'll never buy another thing from Guitar Center, ever!
Since our family is very musical, I often use Guitar Center many times and have always been very pleased with their service and products. They have never disappointed me and I strongly recommend them.
I bought a set of drums on Guitarcenter.com. Though, they sent me the wrong one. Now they are telling me that I have to pay the postage to send it back. Unethical. Also threatening me to keep 15% of the cost. I will never buy from them again!

Happens. At best four to five days. Whatever you want from Guitar Center you can get
Faster and cheaper online. Avoid.
Charged my husband for 2 pedals received 1 but charged for 2. When called they said 1 was already allocated but they would refund Then spoke with another rep where he said he has 1 so my husband charged another. 1 day later rep called to say again not available. Giving us another number to call to investigate a tracking number. 3 rd phone call and third person said it is available in Houston Texas. But want to charge another 141 to his card. Wth is wrong with you people! 700 charged 1 pedal and the run around... never again still not resolved and frankly we will NEVER order from incompetent guitar center again!
I bought a drum kit for Black Friday. I entered my correct address to set up the shipping, but when I signed into My account on the guitar center site, It overwrote my address with my old address on file. I saw this and reached out to guitar center directly after placing the order. I talked to customer service and he said there was nothing he could do right now because the order was placed so recently. He suggested I call back the next day. I called the next day (was hung up on and had a disastrous time getting a hold of someone) GC customer service the next day said that there is nothing they can do, they have to send the package to my old address. This has been frustrating and all to save 60 bucks, now I have wasted 3 days of my life dealing with GC. Not worth the ‘savings' I will never buy from GC again. I suggest you don't either. Their service is horrible and their products are cheaply made and overpriced for what you get.
Any time I visit Guitar Center in person I am "helped" by negative grumpy reps that have no interest in quality customer service and seem like they don't want to be working. I tried to order a left handed guitar online for my nephew's 18th bday and it was back ordered. This is understandable, it is a left handed guitar, but after waiting six months with no updates, calling three times only to have been told "oh it will be shipped next month" every time, I'm through! Terrible experience. Terrible company.
