I use Half Off Depot all the time. There's no hassle. I just purchase vouchers, print them off, and save a ton of money! When my family comes into town I can take them out to eat and then to a show. My sister flies here for work a lot and we can make a cheap trip to the spa and go get our nails done without cutting corners. I purchase from Half Off Depot to go out with my boyfriend, my friends, and lately the great offers with hotels and vacations have been perfect gifts for everyone to get away. If you haven't used the site before you're missing out!

Literally the worst experiences (multiple), mostly as a result of them selling deals for awful, unprofessional, illegitimate companies and then providing extremely delayed customer service when complaints were made and refunds were requested. I have finally learned my lesson and will never ever give this company any of my money again, no matter how many 75% off coupon codes they email me about - which reminds me, I need to go unsubscribe! Here's my advice: stick with Groupon and Livingsocial - they offer deals for quality companies and have great customer service.

Literally the worst experiences (multiple), mostly as a result of them selling deals for awful, unprofessional, illegitimate companies and then providing extremely delayed customer service when complaints were made and refunds were requested. I have finally learned my lesson and will never ever give this company any of my money again, no matter how many 75% off coupon codes they email me about - which reminds me, I need to go unsubscribe! Here's my advice: stick with Groupon and Livingsocial - they offer deals for quality companies and have great customer service.

I have purchased quite a few great deals on Half Off Depot without any probs. So, everything was great til I actually encountered an issue while trying to purchase on their site. When that happened, I contacted them via their web customer service initiating a claim. Their site states they will reply within 24 hours. I've been waiting 6 days. During this time, I attached 2 more comments to my original claim basically saying I have heard back from them. I also found their phone # online & called them. Totally automated, but I left a phone message 6 days ago & still haven't heard anything. Their customer service stinks!

Not good to businesses. They will sell your products at even lower prices than agreed just to pay off the certificates they had purchased, and this leaves businesses vulnerable to such low prices that it attracts the wrong type of clients -- those who are interested in getting free rides. I'd still recommend Groupon and Living Social.

Terrible! Had ordered 2 different items for Christmas gifts, both ordered in what should have been plenty of time... in November. Now it's January 6, and still have not received either item and never heard that items were delayed, etc. Have been in contact with company, told them at this point just to refund my money, and suddenly one of the items is in transit. No longer want it at this point, but too bad. Will never order anything to be intended as a gift, can't depend on this company.

Normally I do not write bad reviews but I feel like it's important to warn people to stay away from this company. I have been trying to get a refund for over 30 days with no success. No one ever answer their customer service telephone line and when I submitted a complaint via their email support address I got an email response that they will look into it. Three weeks later and several emails from me I still have not heard from them.

Wow! Half Off Depot is unbelievable! This was my first time using this site and I went to purchase a paintball package for $70 and it charged me 3 times! That's $210! How in the heck did it charge me 3 times for only purchasing one package? They have no customer service contact number which is ridiculous! That should have been the first red flag since any good reputable web site would have a contact number for customer support. I think this site is a scam. As you can see there are many awful reviews and I'm sure many of them did not get their issues resolved. I'm out $140! They better be refunding my money asap or I will have to take further action!

I wish I had seen this earlier. I completely agree with everything on this page. I did not get something I ordered and after lots of back and forth in email all I get is a USPS tracking number. What the hell. Everyone wants to complain that Amazon takes over everyone but at least when you order your stuff it comes and they stand by that. So pissed

I purchased a head phone set for my son. It has been more than 3 months and I haven't received the unit so far. I will never purchase anything from this site. Service is terrible. There is no way to speak to anyone. The worst I have seen in my life.

People, dont hate on the merchants. We are just as frustrated as you, maybe more so. I am a merchant and have been trying to get paid since January 15. I have given many chances to only be screwed for almost 4 months. I have performed services for free, and no way to retrieve my funds. RUN!

Horrible! They out source products from china that are nothing like the description! I ordered a jacket that specifically said "fur lined, cotton" it is not fur lied or cotton. It is a cheap, light weight POS! Even said it was thickened for added warmth which could not be further from the truth! I asked for a refund and they said to mil it back and once received they will refund me however, they will not provide shipping label. No way am I paying them more money to take back a product I am sure will never be refunded.

Do not buy from this company... run to Groupon or Living Social. I have purchased many of their offerings and more times than not, the provider is no longer in business or doesn't respond to attempts to make an appointment for the service offered.

This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. If they reply to your request no matter how idiotic their response, they get to mark your ticket as closed even though they did no research or made an attempt to solve your problem.

Run from this company as they are not credible and should not be in business. I believe the merchants who use them are unable to do business with Groupon which is a red flag in itself.

I will never buy from them unless I have already done business with the merchant.

I've bought many coupons from them. Most have been good, but you're really at the mercy of the system. Half off depot is slow to respond to complaints and often it takes many emails to get a response. I received some broken jewelry. They told me to mail it back, but they never received it and would not give credit. I will not use them again! Again, most products are legit, but there's no recourse for when the product or company is not legit. Half depot doesn't have your back.

Retailer would not honor halfoffdepot coupon because they were not being reimbursed by halfoffdepot. Halfoffdepot refused to refund my money. Horrible customer service; no live person to speak to and weeks waiting for reply emails. I hope I can help save someone else the hassle I experienced.

This site is very weird, do not buy anything in this company. You lose money and getting nervous. My store credit (around $200 value) was suddenly expired without any notice and finally be useless. I contacted them, but response was very really slow and a lot of excuse. If you want to save your money, DO NOT CHOOSE this and have to choose much more famous dealer, absolutely not this.

They have the worst fulfillment I have ever experienced. The item purchased is never received in the time frame they advertise. I have had to dispute charges to my credit card on more than three occasions. I am still waiting for my most recent purchase and it has been 5 weeks since my purchase! I never shop with them anymore. I now use Groupon.com, the are the best!

I bought a Jambox at 50% off. Seemed like a great deal until I received it. Sure enough, it was an open box item, either used or refurbished, and surprise-surprise, did not work.

I contacted their customer service and their response was essentially, "What? That's crazy. We'll look into it and get back to you in 5-7 days." Never heard anything back.

I ended up returning it to the manufacturer.

I will never use halfoffdepot.com again! It's not really half off if it's not new. I could have bought a working item for the same price on Craig's List.

I ordered a teeth whitening voucher, however when I called the company, De' Javu Salon, to schedule, they didn't know anything about it. The owner said they don't have a contract with HalfOffDepot/ncrowd! No phone number to contact ncrowd so I filed a trouble ticket on their site. I received a confirmation stating they would reach out to the merchant and contact me in 2-3 business days. I haven't heard back from them and have sent 2 update request since that time with no response. I'm out $34.00

Tip for consumers:
Beware! They are posting bogus discounts for companies that have not contracted with them and keeping your money. No phone # to contact them to resolve the issue either.

I ordered an iPhone Otterbox protective case from Halfoff depot March 2,2013. I paid $29 for it.
Today is May 3,2013 and it still has not come. After a month I still needed a case for my new phone so I ordered one from Amazon for less money and it came in four days. Should have done that in the first place. When you try to contact them you fill out a "ticket" which they will answer in a week or so. Here's what they say... Our sincerest apologies for this delay. We are working to get the situation resolved as quickly as we can.
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.
That's great, but I DO NOT UNDERSTAND and my patience left me a long time ago.
My last "ticket" to them ask for a refund, no credit, just a check because I do not want to ever deal with them again. They are a joke.

I too have used HOD many times. Bt this time their hotel offer was for a hotel in Miami with the worst reviews ever! So I immediately emailed HOD to cancel the voucher--yes, their stated policy is no refunds on sale purchases? Excuse me? After a couple of emails, I have twice been promised this refund, but 17 days later, I am still waiting. I filed a dispute claim with my Visa provider. NO MORE HOD

I placed an order in mid June- according to my "voucher" the item was going to be mailed to me. I haven't received it yet. I have phoned multiple times only to leave a voice mail message, for which my call was never returned, i have also submitted two "customer service requests", which i attached my voucher to- also no response. Lik ea FOOL, i ordered from them once again- why i have no idea (yes, i know not very smart), and once again- no item has been received and no response to my emails. I am contacting my credit card company to dispute these charges for products i haven't received. STAY AWAY

I purchased items on 12-2-13 for Christmas and have yet to receive them or a credit for the purchase. When I emailed the site, halfoffdepot.com I received an email stating my email was shredded and to reply to halfoffdepot.com/support which does not get received. This is a scam company and I will file a report on my credit card to reverse the charges. I hope they are shut down and fined for stealing and their fraudulent activity.

Do not buy anything from them. I spent 44 dollars for two mystery boxes and was sent garbage. First I never received them then when I did the merchandise was old and outdated. I can't get them to respond to my emails. They are ripping people off. So not buy anything from them they are a fraud. Use groupon do not use this company you will be disappointed.

I am still waiting for the 3 picture-wrap-canvas items that I ordered for my wife and family for christmas 2011. I ordered a couple years ago, never received... what the hell is wrong with your halfoffdepot.com, you send out all millioins of emails and never respond to jack crap. How do I get my money back from your company...?

I like halfoffdepot.com. It's another play on groupon.com but again, they are not as big so essentially they treat businesses better. Good, but not perfect.
