Free shipping and MUCH faster delivery than other companies I checked. And while I haven't needed to return anything, the fact that they don't charge "restocking fees" is appreciated (make note, Wayfair!)

Ordered ceramic bird bath. Packed lousy and arrived broken into pieces. Ordered a large purchase. Shipping date vague then said shipped. Never got it. Emailed. Said oh the shipping people lost the order, really? Did say they are crediting my money but in the meantime they had my money for like three weeks. Would never order again no matter how nice they appear to be. Surprising they are in business as it appears I'm not the only one with shipping woes.

I called Hayneedle within 8 minutes of placing my order. I wanted to change the delivery address. I was told there was nothing they could do it was already processed. I never had an issue like this before with any company on or off line. I spoke to three or four people each one was inconsistent from the other. What they did do it so they said was to send an email to the manufacturer where distribution is asking to cancel shipping. I asked to be copied that email. It didn't happen. Ok, so less than twelve hours of placing my order I received an email stating the order has SHIPPED! Not acceptable. I followed up with a phone call asked for a supervisor and was on hold for fourteen minutes. This supervisor was condescending, belittling and just unprofessional overall. He said all the could do was attempt to contact the manufacturer. They would offer to pay half of a reshipping fee. This was after I asked to be compensated for my troubles. He had the nerve to ask what troubles and that the conditions and term were listed on their site. Have any you gone straight to the terms once entering a site? I doubt it. But, if you have good for you. If not, I'd advise this to be the first thing you do going forward. Well, this is my story and I'm sticking to it. Never will I shop with them again. Resellers... Shame on them!

We ordered a Cabinet bed from Hayneedle. We waited and waited and finally got notice that the bed had shipped... we had paid for one-glove service to have the bed set up in our house. We watched and waited... but it appeared like the bed never shipped. My husband called once and was met with a really crabby customer service person who informed him that the bed had shipped and the "shipping company will call you for delivery." Three days later he called back... this time the customer service person actually looked into the order. Yes, the shipping service did go to pick up the bed... but the bed had never been shipped from Hayneedle because they didn't have it available. What? We paid for the bed, was assured it had shipped (and we actually received a tracking number)... but there was no bed so they "cancelled" the order. But they still wanted us to pay for the white glove service, because the shippers did show up to pick up the bed. Now I look on the site and it tells me that we "returned" the product. Nope, never had it to return.

Tip for consumers:
Follow your order carefully.

Finding that an order that was placed is out of stock is frustrating enough but when additional complications are added to it the experience becomes even more difficult. We are currently working with our supplier to find out when this bed is available and will do all we can to insure you are very well compensated on this new order for the inconveniences. As the bed was not delivered, the order in full (including shipping charges) would be credited back to your account. If you find that there are outstanding balances of which you have not be refunded or credited, please to let us know so we can look into this further as well as it is not our policy to hold onto these funds. Please note that "returned" is the wording used for the refund process and we fully understand that there was nothing to return. As the order was given tracking in error, the only option at that point was to label the refund as "return" in order to start the credit process. Leaving unfavorable reviews, we understand, is never a pleasant experience but we do appreciate that you took the time to let us know about your experience as it gives us an opportunity to make things right. We appreciate the time you spent providing us with this feedback of your experience.

ONE BIG JOKE OF A COMPANY. Their supplier was trying to go around them for the order. They took my order and after 3.5 months I finally cancelled. When I cancelled and bought the bed from another supplier, they wrote me back that said they have it. BIG JOKE ON ME.

Ordered a few of their rain barrels. Received an e-mail with an estimated delivery timeline. Delivery timeline came and went. I logged in to the account to check on things. See a notice that delivery was completed. I then pull up the tracking number and see no entries except paperwork being sent to the shipper. No activity in a week. I end up e-mailing customer support and receive a reply to the effect of "looks like it's lost, oh well, here's a refund".

I couldn't have the courtesy of being informed they never intended to deliver the product or they had stock issues. I had to go through their website, read conflicting delivery information and reach out to be informed that I had been wasting my time for weeks waiting for delivery to be completed when they had no intention of delivery or notifying me about the purchase. If they were courteous or organized I could have ordered barrels from another supplier and received my items by now. Now I'm out several weeks of my time for nothing.

When I tried to post the above review to their website they would not let it be published. They won't allow valid criticism to show on their platform. Awful.

I ordered a patio set and as soon as I pushed the button, I decided on white glove delivery. I called customer service to ask if I could add this on and girl said I could add that the day of delivery when they call me on the way. That makes absolutely no sense. How could they have the time if they didn't know beforehand and how would I be charged? I gave up on that. I checked the tracking as soon as it shipped for my delivery day and window. 2 hours into my window, I checked tracking and it just said "picked up". Not even in transit or out for delivery?!? I called customer service and they said I was supposed to have called the transit system to schedule an appointment. What? Nowhere did I see that and if thats the case, how could they give me a delivery time and window in the first place? Someone called me later and scheduled a delivery for the next day (I took off 1/2 day of work). Next day comes, no delivery- only a call (courtesy) from the ground transportation crew that my patio set is not there for pick up. OMG! I had no call from Hayneedle or the initial transportation system who scheduled me for delivery of furniture that was not there... Eventually I got the set. Delivery guy was nice, however he had a lit cigarette in his mouth with about 1/2 inch of ash on it waiting to drop on my furniture as he unwrapped it. I was promised white glove due to all the problems. My set is sitting in multiple pieces on my patio because white glove does not include putting anything together that takes more than 15 minutes I have since learned. Terrible, unprofessional, inaccurate, waste of time...

We ordered three $25 garden items. After receiving them we realized they were too big for the area and really only needed one. The return process for the other two was simple and easy.

My fiance and I ordered a coffee table/accent table set from Hayneedle. We were really looking forward to this set as it was nice and matched the style we were going for. We got our purchase in the mail only to find that the table was damaged as well as the box it was delivered in. We called Hayneedle and they offered to replace it and send us a label to ship back the original. We were content and waiting for the second shipment. We finally get the second shipment to find an even MORE destroyed box, with a damaged table, and all of the hardware was opened and thrown in the box. This package looked to have been returned prior. We were extremely disappointed that this is the quality of service we get, especially after already receiving a damaged product the first time. We really enjoyed shopping at Hayneedle but after them not being able to deliver a quality product and not really doing anything besides offering free shipping for return of our damaged products, we will no longer be shopping with them. We are extremely disappointed with the service that had received.

SERIOUSLY DO YOURSELF A FAVOR DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE, YOU WILL REGRET IT. THEY REFUSED TO CANCEL AN ORDER 2 HOURS AFTER IT WAS PLACED. THEY ARE TELLING ME THERE IS NO WAY TO CANCEL. I TOLD THEM I WILL NOT ACCEPT DELIVERY OF THIS ITEM AS THEY HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO CANCEL.

I read all of the negative reviews on this place on here & I was very scared because the majority of them were very negative. But I found a ridiculous deal on Hayneedle that I could not pass up. For anyone that hunts or shoots out there, you've probably heard of Zeiss scopes. They have a Zeiss Terra 3x on there right now (Sep '14) for $192... if you know anything about Zeiss getting one new for under 200 is unheard of. Bear in mind this is their bottom of the barrel model, but still an amazing price, it's 300-350 everywhere else.

So... I went for it! I ponied up the extra $5 for fedex shipping (highly recommended) since I heard of so many shipping woes & I paid thru paypal & charged it to my AmEx (thru paypal) so in case they screwed me over, like everyone else apparently, I could contest it with both and not have to deal direct with Hayneedle only.

I ordered on Monday & the scope arrived Friday (today). I haven't field tested it yet, but this scope is crystal clear & definitely is a Zeiss as far as I can tell. Zeiss is even running a $50 rebate at the moment so I think I'm gonna get it for $147. I can't believe it, one of the best deals I've ever gotten.

I feel very bad for everyone that got screwed but hayneedle hooked me up bigtime. If you see something on there for a crazy deal, you feel like gambling & decide to pull the trigger do it thru paypal & with fedex. Also keep in mind that most positive purchasers don't write reviews, mostly negative ones, which compelled me to review on a few of these consumer reporting sites.

Ordered a Dining Hutch/Buffet and Credenza for $2,200. The bumbling delivery company hired to deliver the 2 pieces ran a fork lift through the Dining Hutch. Had to call Hayneedle to send it back. Why? The shipping carton was 2 flimsy boxes (one on top, one on bottom - taped together in the center). Oh, the styrofoam is just a hair over a 1/2 inch to protect this expensive piece. Called Eagle Furniture and asked who packages this furniture using materials weaker than a shoebox? Got dead air response. Eagle Furniture proudly states they are an American company, I told them then to package their expensive furniture like an American company should! Yesterday, the replacement Dining Hutch/Buffet arrives. Deliveryman says his instructions are leave at the door an 85" inch tall furniture piece. What happened to my "room of choice" Hayneedle guaranteed me room of choice. Not according to him. It shows up packaged in a similar fashion with 2 small cartons (top and bottom) taped together in the middle to partially keep them together. More of the flimsy 1/2 inch styrofoam used sparingly by Eagle Furniture. Remember this was a $2,200 order. Laurel & Hardy delivery company get a '0' review, Hayneedle a '2 star' review, and Eagle Furniture company a '-1' review for claiming to be a proud American company.

Ordered bbq sauce 2 weeks ago... still dont have it though amazon says i should have had it last week. Ordered some sauce from another company and got it in a few days. Never again from this company

I ordered 2 wardrobes and according to the UPS lost them. As a result of this they went ahead an caceled the order. My husband went ahead and place a second order since the firt one was lost and canceled. A week later we get the first shipment (the canceled one) and when we called to cancel the second one since we don't need 4 wardrobes, they said they cant cancel the order. Nice! They don't work with customers and I wouldnt reccomend buying from this site unless you want to get ripped off!

I most recently purchased a rain barrel base to match the rain barrel I purchased from there last year... not sure why I reordered from them? So, I'll start from the beginning:
Last year I ordered a green 50 gallon rain barrel from them and when I received my package and opened it, I had a composter! I called them to explain the problem and they seemed more than willing to take care of this. Well, three weeks later, I finally had the right item. So, this Spring, I ordered a matching stand for the rain barrel I had purchased from them and it comes in brown vs. green. When I e-mailed them with the problem, they seemed very disinterested and offered to take 15% off, if I would keep the brown one. I told them since I had gone thru a problem with them last year, that they could keep their rain barrel stand and I'd buy from another vendor. There was no effort on their part to extend any further level of customer service. Three weeks later I received my refund after they'd had their item back two weeks before.

This company is a disaster. I placed an order for two sets of patio furniture which I was very excited about. A couple days later, I went back to my confirmation email to check the order status page. I was completely shocked to find on the order status page that apparently my ship status was "cancelled." I never received any communication letting me know that my order was cancelled. And my card was charged. When speaking with a customer service rep (nice guy, couldn't take it out on him because it's not his fault that the company is a mess), I was told that the order was cancelled "for my protection." Supposedly my order did not pass an internal review process because my shipping and billing address were different. I'M MOVING, hence the need for buying new furniture. My billing address is my current address, and the furniture was set to be delivered to my new apartment. Now the two products that I previously purchased are out of stock, and I'm out of patio furniture. Thanks for completely wasting my time, Hayneedle. I read numerous similar reviews and complaints online. I will be sure to warn others to stay away from this site.

On March 14,2013, I ordered a "Stone Resin Wicker Design Propane Fire Pit Table with Burner Cover" from Plum Struck, via Amazon. The item arrived in a sealed wooden crate. After using a saw to open the item, then hiring a person to help me move the 250 pound fire pit to my patio, I discovered the ignition switch does not work; the fire pit does not work.

Plum Struck is refusing to resolve the issue. Hayneedle and other major websites that sell the same item, post that the item has a 6 month manufacturer's warranty; they state that if there any issues, they will work with the manufacturer to make sure the issues are resolved. DO NOT USE PLUM STRUCK. Use Hayneedle and other websites that sell the same items.

I purchased almost $1200 worth of outdoor furniture from Hayneedle in the middle of March. I was told a few days later, by the freight company, that the furniture never made it to them. They said it was lost. I contacted Hayneedle who told me to wait 72 BUSINESS HOURS before they would know anymore information. That's 2 weeks. Ridiculous! I called again today to have Hayneedle either ship me out a new set of furniture I already paid for, or give me a full refund. They refused to ship out furniture and told me a refund would be difficult because the order was "closed". I have an open case with the BBB and have already rejected the charge on my credit card. FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD.

I ordered a piece of furniture that I had to assemble. The large wooden piece serving as the top has a massive crack in it. Assembled the rest as I had little time later to do it and hoped for just that one piece to be sent and then quickly add it. Instead they sent a whole new box. And the color didn't match at all. So wasn't useable and I didn't like the color as much. Wasn't going to reassemble a whole new piece and dismantle the other. Customer service somewhat helpful, but will never order again when they can't deliver a good product. Instructions had one major error in them (or someone put the lettered stickers in the wrong spot). Once I spoke with customer service about a problem I was having getting the drawer slides and she was not trained on it and could only read the same directions I had. I needed to release the drawer from the slide. I figured it out and told her what to do so she'd be able to actually help people in the future. Frustrating first experience and will never buy from them again.

Have attempted to contact them 4 times and no response. Want tot return an item to them purchased thru walmart. Went to walmart and they refuse to take item back. Worst experience I have ever had

We had bought a crib set with toddler rails and bed rails, with the matching chest and dresser, from cribs.com, a part of hayneedle. We had a big problem at the original purchase time as they had to keep on delaying our delivery (we had a small window), but eventually made it work around their delays. But then the delivery people dropped it on our front sidewalk, and left! (I was already 6 months pregnant... so how was I supposed to help lift these heavy pieces up the stairs?).

Well, in our crazy life that was at that time, we had overlooked that we never received the bed rails. Fast forward to 11 months later when I suddenly need the bed rails, the company wouldn't honor the fact that they never sent them to us, and would force us to buy a new set. Why would I lie about not receiving the bed rails? IF I had them, what would I do with an extra set?

The company, knowing that we would never be able to convert the bed to a full bed without the bed rails, is despicable in their practices in not honoring what people ALREADY paid for. I will admit that 11 months for a claim is a very long time, but as anyone who has an infant knows, time flies and things get forgotten).

Please be warned about this company. Customer service is horrible unlike other internet sites.

I ordered an $85 gift basket (plus $8 shipping) for my husband. It was delivered to him while I was at work when he was home on a vacation day. When I got home, I was EMBARASSED by the chintzy, cheesy, excuse for a gift basket. I have gotten nicer ones for $25. DO ORDER FROM THEM unless you have the money to waste.
