Free shipping and MUCH faster delivery than other companies I checked. And while I haven't needed to return anything, the fact that they don't charge "restocking fees" is appreciated (make note, Wayfair!)
Ordered ceramic bird bath. Packed lousy and arrived broken into pieces. Ordered a large purchase. Shipping date vague then said shipped. Never got it. Emailed. Said oh the shipping people lost the order, really? Did say they are crediting my money but in the meantime they had my money for like three weeks. Would never order again no matter how nice they appear to be. Surprising they are in business as it appears I'm not the only one with shipping woes.
Ordered a gift basket with a promise of Dec 24th delivery. 4 days late and the product was supposed to be an elegant gift basket of delicious hand selected wine and tasty treats... more like cheap quickmart wine and stale crackers... but what can I expect for just $90? Customer service response was... get over it. So don't waste your money... you would do better at Wallmart selecting your own food and wine gifts with a blindfold on.
They are liars and scam artists buy elsewhere. I bought something online then got an item shipped message along with Fedex tracking ino, it never showed up and when you caal they tell they have emails in to the manufacturer which ships direct, three days and the still have no response. I placed an order for a 5 piece Chintaly Kalinda dining set. I only received 2 chairs. I called Hayneedle & was told I only ordered 2 chairs. I provided them with the correct order # and invoice showing 5 pieces. Hayneedle stated there was an error in the posting and it should have only been for 2 chairs.

I recently purchased an outdoor daybed from Hayneedle. I was going to purchase 2, but when I called with a question, the representative suggested that I purchase 1 and get $40 worth of points that I could use for the 2nd one. What a great suggestion. I enrolled in the program and ordered the 1st daybed. My points didn't show up. When I called to question this, I was told that I had paid with PayPal and would not get any points. While this is written on the website, the representative that was helping me with the purchase FAILED to mention this as I completed my purchase. When I called them, they said that there was nothing that they could do to help me. When I asked if it was worth me purchasing the remainder of the patio furniture that I needed somewhere else, they didn't care.
I placed an order for E-Z Up 10 foot Express II Canopy Sidewall set on Walmart.com and received the item several weeks later from a third party with no corresponce for the shipping or when I would receive it. When I received the order therre was only one sidewall that was only 8 foot. I have written customer service several times and no response. What a rip off.
I ordered a On the Edge Portable Folding Wagon on April 24th, 2013. My husband and I used it twice. On the second time the welds on the front axle separated rendering the wagon useless. When I contacted the company via e-mail I was told that it was outside of the 30 day window and therefore could not be exchanged. I have learned a hard lesson and will no longer shop at a company that will not stand behind the product it distributes.
I ordered a composter and rain barrel. When shipment arrived, only half of the order showed up. The box was badly damaged and no protection for item inside. It looked like it was loosely taped. There was a chemical spill on the item. The rain barrel was not with order with no explanation. When I called the company their supplier said it was on back order and not sure when it would arrive.?!
I placed an order for a swingset glider and orbit swing without reading any of the reviews. The order confirmation stated an estimated delivery date of 7/19. By 7/17, I still had not received a shipping confirmation and began to worry after reading reviews of the company. I contacted customer support via email to ensure that the order was not being held up. I received a response the next day indicating that my order would be shipping that day and would be received the following day. I was a little skeptical but the order arrived on time with all pieces and no issues.
I'm giving them an average rating because of the lack of communications up to the day before the item was to be received (the order was placed the week prior).
To be honest I'm not sure that I would buy from them again largely based on the bad experiences of others. I'm not sure if my experience was just luck.
I bought a dinning set, put together the chairs and realized the post for the table was missing, they said they could not send us the piece, only accepted the return of the entire thing (which it will be expensive to ship, not to mention the time and effort it took us to put it together). They take 1 day to reply to you and they have no phone number to reach them. Now I know why they don't!

Beware if you place an order and attempt to cancel it, it will not happen. Also note, much of what they sell will be delayed, I have one item delayed over a month and they still can't seem to cancel it. There is a reason this company has so many negative reviews all over the internet. Their customer service is non existent and snarky at best. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them. Note: they do not stock anything, they are only drop-shippers. This means that you place an order and they contact the manufacture and have the item ship to you. If you go to cancel they will claim that they contacted the manufacture to cancel the order however, the truth is they do not do this and it is likely that you will be charged for and have the item ship anyway. They hope you will keep it and not want to bother fighting them for your money back.
I wanted to buy my granddaughter the Hape Play kitchen and Hayneedle's price was the best anywhere, since it included accessories ( utensils and food). I was hesitant to order from the site since I had read so many negative reviews. But I can say that I couldn't be happier with the service. From speaking to a representative who answered all my questions, to receiving the product two days after I ordered it, to having the product arrive in fine condition, all went smoothly. My husband and I just finished putting the kitchen together and now we can't wait to give it to our baby on Chanukah. Remember, most people who write reviews do so because they are unhappy with the service or product. Most satisfied customers don't bother to sit down and write something, like I have done. I would not hesitate to order from Hayneedle again.
Hello all! I'm an ex employee of hayneedle.com. I wasn't customer service I was in sales. I guess I didn't lack enough personality to be customer service for they would never move me into the position. Anyway, yes this company is out for the money only. What do you expect with a CEO who was the man who created Walmart.com? As a sales person, excuuuse me "verity expert", I was told to lie to the customers so they would buy from the company. You'd think it was so the company would make more money wouldn't you? No, it was a rat race between sales supervisors, and who could make the bigger commission bonus check! Sad thing is when I was working there sales agents didn't make commissions, but the bosses did. So yes customers are not top priority with hayneedle... money is. So, beware if you want to buy from this company. You might buy a 3,000 dollar lie. I should know, I sold many of them.
Ordered a sofabed and when it arrived at delivery terminal, it was damaged. I refused delivery and received a refund. Shortly thereafter, I ordered the same item a second time. Estimated delivery date was 5/31. A week and a half later, I called to get an update since the delivery company has not called me. It turns out that the delivery company, Home Direct, lost the item. I am very angry at Hayneedle and the delivery. I will never order from Hayneedle again and discourage others from doing so.
I ordered two barstools from hayneedle and received them on time as described and they were very well packed and easy to put together. I certainly would order from them again and am very pleased with my order.
We placed an order for an piece of gym equipment. We received an email that our order had shipped and an expected delivery date was given as well as a link to track the package. The day before the expected delivery, we checked the tracking only to discover that our order and shipping had been canceled. No email. No phone call. No explanation. We emailed customer service and received no response.
Cannot recommend doing business with this company.
BUYER BEWARE! This company is guilty of over pricing, misrepresentation, no customer service, they do not accept returns, they offer free shipping but if you want to return the item it costs more than the item itself, no website available, no phone numbers, no shipping receipt with order, items come broken, fall apart, missing pieces, they are criminals! Walmart should be ashamed to advertise for them and offer their products! They deserve to be investigated and shut down! Read reviews before buying anything from them. I wish I had, I always do but this time I assumed it was through Walmart who offers decent return policy. IT WAS NO! DO NOT FALL INTO THEIR TRAP! Report them. I will continue to report them to every website available on consumer reports.
I visited the Hayneedle site for the first time to order basketballs. It displayed the basketball and indicated a 46% discount. The discount was in line with other vendors selling the same ball. When I indicated my intent to purchase, I was told the list price was $139 and no discount. I stressed that the picture of the basketball next to the 46% ad was the one of wanted to purchase. After discussing this with the supervisor, they agreed to a 10% discount. The 46% was for a ball that was not displayed. What a crock! I will never visit this site again and recommend others do the same.
Do not buy from this company. I bought a mirror and had it hung up with the hardware that came with it. It fell off the wall with the hardware attached. I purchased a year and a half ago so they wouldn't do anything about it. And it ruined my countertops! Horrible customer service

Pentair ******* IntelliChlor IC40 Salt Chlorine Generator Cell - Do not buy this product. Mine quit working after 1 summer this year, my old one lasted 6 years. I bought it March 25,2017 and it quit working about 3 weeks ago. $709.30 down the drain. This company won't do anything about it. Don't buy from them. This won't be my last product review on this vendor. I am very disappointed!
Horrible customer service. Ordered 2 wine racks that looked different than on the pictures online. Filled out a return process online, was supposed to take 48 hours and someone would call me back, did not work... called the customer service 4 days later... I will now receive an email with instructions within 48 hours on how to return the items at my cost! DO NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS WEBSITE. Websites like this will disappear by themselves due to their false advertisement and poor customer service. I will spread the word.
Ordered a microscope for my daughter for Christmas on 11/29. The website said it was in stock, but 2 days later I received an email saying this was backordered but will ship in time to deliver by Dec 24th. Made several phone calls to find out what was going on with my order and finally got an answer that it would not ship until Dec 28th. Still waiting for my order to ship. For anyone looking to order from this website, I would strongly recommend you find another source.
I have nothing but good things to say about Hayneedle even though they're basically the middle man. I did have a wonky situation where I purchased two nightstands and a dresser. The nightstands shipped and the dresser was marked shipped but used the same tracking numbers as the nightstands. I called a total of four times to initiate my concern and follow up to ensure I didn't get burned on a pricey dresser (ex. Showed it shipped/delivered when actually it didn't), every time my wait was less than two minutes if that. The customer service personnel were all polite and very helpful. They sent an email to the supplier to figure out the issue, found out it was on backorder, and told me it would ship Dec 22nd 2021, and sure enough it shipped this morning. I was scared my dresser was going to be mia, but I will forsure continue doing business with Hayneedle.
I ordered a desk with a matching hutch from hayneedle. I even paid a little extra to get it faster. The hutch came on time as expected but the desk never came. I contacted both fedex and hayneedle. Hayneedle informed me that the desk never shipped and they would have to refund my money and I could order it again. I went to order it again and can no longer find it in the white finish! It hasn't even been two weeks since I placed my first order! So I now have a hutch with no matching desk! I was reluctant to order from this website since I was not familiar with it and I should have trusted my gut. I hope they take back the hutch with no problems because this is a useless item to me without the desk. If they didn't have the desk they shouldn't have shipped the hutch. Stick to overstock or amazon.
Id like to write a review for an elevated garden I purchased this past spring. I went on the Hayneedle web page, to get the exact product name/model number, and low and behold, its been discontinued. Go figure! Nor surprised, since the bottom of mine collapsed and dumped all the soil and content of the vegetables growing in the garden in my yard. Wow, what a piece of crap. I asked for a refund, and guess what? Yep, thats right, I dont qualify. Humm! So a raised garden on HayNeedle.com is not even guaranteed 6 months. My advice to anyone thinking about purchasing ANYTHING from this company, think twice. They are a fly by Night Company, and pay no attention to the reviews they have posted, and pay close attention to this one. I will save you the hardship and money I lost dealing with this company. My advice: DONT BUIY ANYTHING FROM THEM!
