Free shipping and MUCH faster delivery than other companies I checked. And while I haven't needed to return anything, the fact that they don't charge "restocking fees" is appreciated (make note, Wayfair!)
Ordered ceramic bird bath. Packed lousy and arrived broken into pieces. Ordered a large purchase. Shipping date vague then said shipped. Never got it. Emailed. Said oh the shipping people lost the order, really? Did say they are crediting my money but in the meantime they had my money for like three weeks. Would never order again no matter how nice they appear to be. Surprising they are in business as it appears I'm not the only one with shipping woes.
I purchased a set of supposedly 'white' curtains but upon arrival they looked more 'cream' than white. I called up the customer service and told them that I didn't receive the correct color that I ordered. I was already prepared to return the wrong item, instead I was told that because it would cost too much for the company to pay for the return shipping charges thus I get to keep the wrong item and Hayneedle will issue me a full refund as well. How awesome is that! I ended up with a free set of curtains albeit they are sitting in my basement now.
We were excited to receive a big outdoor patio umbrella with LED lights as a Christmas gift. This summer we assembled it and the lights did not work. I tried calling their customer service number which was difficult to find in their web site and not listed on the assembly instructions. After and hour of waiting for someone to answer I gave up. I then found a form on their website to send their customer service a message which I did asking for help to determine why they were not working and their response was as follows; Unfortunately, the umbrella is manufactured overseas and there is no one to contact. I guess they don't use telephones overseas? What BS. I will never buy from them in the future.
The lamp shade was dark and looked burnt and used and literally smelled like they found the lamp shade in a garbage dump with bowel movement. Seriously. I had to wash my hands for 2 minutes after i picked it up to look at it. How can they do that to their customers? They should have negative stars for this company. Smh
Terrible. I have been waiting over 45 days for my credit for my return on a $300 order. They say it takes 30 days to cut a return check; however, the request did not get processed until a week ago. I have called multiple times and every time they say it's taken care of, but it never is. They are completely incompetent. I will never order from them again.
I've now ordered a few things from Hayneedle, and they are wonderful. If you have a problem, they will address it immediately. I'm expecting a coffee table now with great anticipation. Their customer service people are quite helpful with everything. Don't have any doubts about this site!
I ordered 1 package of 3 wall shelves and when the package arrived I opened it and noticed 3 pieces were missing. Why would you ship a package that does not include all of the components in one box?! I can't even hang anything up. I'm missing 3 rods that get nailed to the wall for these shelf sliders to slide on. They're sitting on the floor now. This is useless
I read these reviews after I ordered a bed through Walmart and was apprehensive. So, I was surprised when my bed showed up today, a week early, beautifully bubble wrapped in two boxes. And, this was free shipping. I had no problem at all with my order. It was almost half the price, ordering it through Walmart, that it would have been getting it straight from plumstruck and I'm very happy.
We ordered patio furniture from Hayneedle on May 6 and still have not received it. The delivery date was pushed back twice. We finally got an email notice to schedule a delivery date, which involves advanced reservation of the freight elevator. The delivery service, Ceva Home Delivery, never showed up. Ceva Home Delivery does not answer the phone nor respond to emails. We waited all morning for them to show up. When we called Hayneedle we were told not to pay attention to the email and to wait for a phone call. We waited all morning for them to show up. The customer service at Hayneedle has been terrible. Our credit card was charged about 2 weeks ago for the furniture which we don't have yet. Ceva Home Delivery has a rating of 1 1/2 stars on Yelp. Why does Hayneedle use a delivery company that has 1 1/2 stars? Horrible buying experience, I don't recommend Hayneedle AT ALL.
The escalation team handled my return request quickly and correctly. I have a return label for the item now. Thank you for your quick response, hayneedle. I will shop at hayneedle.com again in the future.
If you expect reasonable customer service following a order that was duplicated by their ordering department, do not order from these people. They duplicated my order, took my money and I am still waiting for them to have over $1,000 in furniture picked up and credited. They made the mistake and I was left with the aggravation and effort to resolve.
I recently had an order that was listed incorrectly on their site It advertised 2 of an item instead of one as they had intended. After I received the first shipment they stood by their erroneous ad and send me a second delivery. The cushions are great quality and I'm very happy with my purchase and the service I was given.

Totally incompetent. I ordered a car seat for my daughter, in pink. They sent a red booster seat that cost $90 less. I called and arranged an exchange, during which time I had to carry the charge on my credit card X2 until the full return completed. The person I spoke with said he'd make a clear note that I wanted the pink car seat. Second order arrives and... red booster seat, again. I call and they just say "sorry, we don't have the one you want in stock." I'm sorry, but it's not just a matter of color -- they sent the wrong product altogether, something for a larger child. I can accept the mistake once, not twice. Now I'm massively inconvenienced, have to deal with another return AND go find a car seat right away locally -- all while I could have just ordered it from a reputable site, even the second time, and have the seat I want right now. Please, don't make my mistake!
Ok, so as an update to my earlier one star review (below) I have to amend to five stars. Shortly after my review and FB post, Corporate Escalation Liaison Ryan contacted me to make good on my rebate. He went above and beyond and has made me a loyal Hayneedle customer!
Truly truly disappointed in Hayneedle customer service through their affiliate program. I purchased an outdoor dining set using their affiliate program with Coupon Cabin and was supposed to get a rebate on my purchase. I was originally credited with my rebate and then it was suddenly reversed with no explanation at all. I have emailed multiple times to every corporate department and have not gotten any responses except from customer service to say that they don't participate in affiliate program with Coupon Cabin. She was mistaken. The only reason I purchased my set from Hayneedle was for the rebate. I think I deserve an explanation Hayneedle!

So I never do stuff like leave a bad review or tell people not to shop somewhere but I want to give everybody a heads up. Hayneedle.com has horrible customer service. They cancelled our order four times and the 4th time they actually took the $400 and then cancelled the order AGAIN! They didn't even apologize for our inconvenience (and $400 is no small inconvenience!) Whatever happened to taking some responsibility for your actions? What a way to treat a customer... Amazon has the same product for around the same price and I guarantee this won't happen with them!

There was never a completed charge put on your gift card. What you see is an authorization which will drop of in a few days. This company should simply be called "China" instead of its current name . I have ordered 4 times from this company and have had defects - missing parts on 3 of my 4 orders . Nobody wants to take the blame and wants to negotiate when there is an issue .I would suggest to them to not sell the garbage from the companies they buy products from and do more research on selling good quality products .

I bought a patio umbrella and want to return it. My 30 days will be up very soon and I have yet to receive an email reply with the appropriate authorization number needed from them in order to do the return. I am very disappointed in their customer service. Their automated email reply is useless and insincere! I am trying to find a phone number for them, but so far to no avail. Buyer beware. Before you order you better be sure you really want the item. Walmart should drop them! I won't be buying online from Walmart anymore:-(
I ordered a small cake plate with dome cover from Walmart. It was shipped from Plumstruck and needed to be returned to Plumstruck. I emailed them several times to get return information as there is a noticeable bubble in the dome glass. They never gave me any information about returning the item. I will never order online from them again!
Update: Walmart deleted the charge from my credit card. Thanks Walmart!
I purchased 13 bags of Caribbean Rocks each one weighed 30 lbs. Most of them all cracked.
They were used as a border around the edge of the lawn. No one walked on them. I could not return them because it was passed the 30 day return policy and besides that, it would not have been practical to ship 390 lbs of rocks back to them. It would have cost me more than I paid for them.
They refunded me a total of $5.42. I am a senior citizen on disability & had to hire someone to do this project which only escalated the cost.
I think other consumers should be made aware of the problems with this product.DO NOT BUY IT!

Bought my grand daughter a table set in May, table had crack on the side, it was for her birthday in July so we didn't put it together until last week. The company basically told me it was not their problem because we didn't un pack it and put it together right away. Now my grand daughter has a table that is not right and I am out 130.00 Never again. Customer service sends out generic letters to tell you tuff luck.
As I was in the process of ordering items this morning, prices in my cart changed within minutes! There was no time/date deadline on the price, so thought I had time to add other items, but chair in the cart went from $115 to $199! Luckily I double checked before I put my credit card info in as the price seemed much higher for the two items than I had thought! I called customer service but said it was just a normal price adjustment. Had never ordered from them before, but not inclined to do so now!

Ordered a decline bench, sent me the exact opposite, an incline bench. 2nd time they screwed my order up in 2 tries. Would not suggest this site to any one and will never consider them ever again when purchasing anything from them.
They sent me around and around for months! They stopped responding via email, so I had to call to speak with a supervisor, and even after that, I had to stay on them because they wouldn't return calls or emails on their own deadlines. Then they promised me a refund, but turned around a week later and changed their mind. Wouldn't uphold the warranty, and offered me a crappy replacement of an entirely different product! Absolutely ridiculous.
