Free shipping and MUCH faster delivery than other companies I checked. And while I haven't needed to return anything, the fact that they don't charge "restocking fees" is appreciated (make note, Wayfair!)
Ordered ceramic bird bath. Packed lousy and arrived broken into pieces. Ordered a large purchase. Shipping date vague then said shipped. Never got it. Emailed. Said oh the shipping people lost the order, really? Did say they are crediting my money but in the meantime they had my money for like three weeks. Would never order again no matter how nice they appear to be. Surprising they are in business as it appears I'm not the only one with shipping woes.
I was interested in a step trash can from Simple Human that Hayneedle had for slightly less than elsewhere online, but wanted to make sure it came with a separate liner can as the image and description showed. I inquired with their customer service department and was told that it did indeed come with a liner. Turns out the older version did have a liner, but the new version does not. I accepted their response and ordered it. Of course, I ended up with the new, liner less version when it arrived.
I replied to customer service, expecting to be told tough luck, but to my surprise the rep sent a return shipping label. I still had to re box it and drop it off at a ship point, but I found it to be positive overall.
This Amazon vendor reported to Amazon that they had delivered their product to me... And Amazon charged me and paid them. The product hasn't even left their warehouse (which they admitted only after I called them on it), then to add insult to injury, their lovely customer service agent Carolyn tells me I haven't been charged yet. Umm, yes I have! How dumb do you think I am? No product, they've already received the $$... Can you say "accounting fraud"? Do NOT buy from PlumSUCK.
This company is full of complete and total idiots! I bought a slide from them through Amazon for my kids for Christmas. The slide didn't show up til after Christmas and I ended up buying THE SAME one from Home Depot for 40$ cheaper. After several emails back and forth about returning their slide, they gave me a FedEx packing slip and said they would cover the cost. Today I receive an email stating they charged me $50 on my refund for shipping... The left hand is definitely not talking to right hand in this stupid company.
I ordered a jewelry box from Hayneedle last night and, within minutes, the charge came through my account along with a separate charge from Hayneedle in the amount of $1.00. I contacted them immediately asking why there was another charge to my account. Nick wrote that they sometimes assessed a $1.00 fee if they had trouble putting the charge through and that it would take 3-5 business days to refund the $1.00. I'm calling my bank in the morning and report it as a fraudulent charge. I believe they're doing this to hundreds of customers and earning interest on our money for 3-5 business days. Let's let them know we won't tolerate their criminal behavior. If this happened to you, CONTACT YOUR BANK IMMEDIATELY.
Horrible with returns, quick to respond via email telling you to wait 4 business days even they to received the item back 10am 3 days prior. Ending up having to make a phone call in order to get my refund and then the refund ended up being less than what was stated in the email. Definitely will NOT use them again.
I recently ordered a few items for our new baby from Hayneedle, main one being a crib that we could not find in Canada. Of course AFTER I ordered everything, I came across all these negative reviews. I was all of a sudden scared to have placed the order, even if it was a good deal, and seriously thought about cancelling it but decided to take a chance.
WOW am I glad I did! Hayneedle delivered exactly what I ordered, completely intact and undamaged, and super fast! Even with an oversized item that weighed over 100lbs everything arrived in 4 days from the time of ordering and I got free shipping to boot! I would NOT hesitate to order from them again. Great experience!
I brought a beautiful couch from walmart is braxton faux leather couch that was $405.41. Well to my surprise I got a Nathaniel grey couch that is $331.33. The pictures will be uploaded below. I contact them they want to give a refund with a return I have a newborn Im not taking him out during this pandemic to print a label for something I didn't do. All I asked for was the $74 difference because Ill accept the couch. Why is it so hard for them to fix they $#*! up. Im a single mother I could use that $74 for diapers tv stand etc never again. I won't stop until I given my money back!
After reading other reviews, I was concerned about ordering from Hayneedle, but the specific item I wanted (garden fencing) had limited availability and the manufacturer specifically linked to Hayneedle as place to buy. Price was also best I saw among the few places I saw that offered the product I wanted, and selection of colors was excellent. Shopping experience was fine -- order shipped within a few days and arrived (via FedEx Ground, for which I paid $5 rather than using slower free shipping option) a few days later. Product was correct and undamaged.
I purchased an ottoman, it came in a cheap cardboard box, and it was damaged on one corner. It is very cheaply made except for the tray lids. The color was not at all what I expected. Very disappointed.
Not bad actually. I ordered a room divider from them. It arrived on time. A day later my roommate had temper tantrum and punched a hole in it. I called Hayneedle and told them that it fell down and broke (lie). They fell for it and sent me a new one free of charge. :)
We ordered a glider and ottoman from Hayneedle and it came in 3 days. There was only 1 tiny little dent in the lower portion of the glider that you couldnt see unless you got down on the ground to inspect it. Very satisfied with the free shipping and the speed with which it shipped.
Many calls and emails as to why my order was not being delivered as the tracking info stated. New date no delivery. Finally after 4 attempts at delivery and no one could account for the order I asked for a full refund. Still waiting. Do not do business a fraud.
We placed our order for an extra large Budda for our yard... got free shipping... and the item was delivered to our home just four days later! It was beautifully packaged and was even more impressive than we had hoped for. Thank you Hayneedle... you have two more very pleased customers who look forward to doing more business with your Company in the future.
Now I know why the price was low and the shipping is free.
The cartons were badly damaged upon delivery and consequently so were some of the components (rabbit hutch). I don't really expect any satisfaction from the company, and although damaged, the product is still usable, but buyers beware. I do NOT recommend this webside. Go somewhere else and pay a little more.
I bought two kitchen stools for about $100 from Hayneedle. Upon receiving return shipment, Heyneedle refunded me $65, I lose about 3 legs of the two stools I purchased.
My advice:
1. Never buy anything from Hayneedle. Buy from a seller with better return policy.
2. If unfortunately you buy an item from Heyneedle and you do not like it, send it to charity or sell it in garage sale. The return will cost too much.
Never buy from Hayneedle. Hope my advice save your arms and legs.
Ordered christmas gift, they said in stock & delivered by 12/22- so great!
2 days later got an email stating that it is out of stock-on back order & will be delivered est. 1/8/10! Called & they said it was in stock when I placed the order-probably only few left by time my orde was processed- just checked & their site still claims in stock & 12/22 delivery!-Yes- cc chrged at time of placing order.
I recently made a purchase consisting of a valance and two room darkening curtain liners. The curtain liners hung longer than my curtains despite packaging stating that they were the same size. The valance appeared cheap and not what I was looking for. In trying to return these items, I found that the cost of the return is half of what I paid for the products themselves! Never in my years of online shopping have I, as a customer, been expected to pay such outrageous prices for return shipping. I would have never placed the order in the first place if I had known this, and I will never be placing another order with this company in the future. I will tell everyone I know to stay away from Hayneedle!
My daughter purchased a swing and hanging chains for a birthday gift. We read all Hayneedle web site how caring and committed to customer satisfaction they where. Well after being exposed to the weather for 80 days and stored in a dry location for the winter we took them out and they where rusted. All they could say was they where over the 90 day warranty. THe point is they where suppose to be plated and stand up to the weather. They sold a defective product, proof of that is they changed suppliers per their customer service. If they where as good as they claimed they would at least replace the chain.
They charged me for a purchase I have never made. I didn't know about this website until it appeared on my CC as a charge from Hayneedle. Now I will have to waste a lot of time and energy during this time. I am sure the customer service rep from my CC doesn't want to hear me complain when there are more important things going around right now. With this experience I will NEVER go to or buy anything from Hayneedle. As a matter of fact I will make sure none of my family & friends go to the website & purchase anything.
I placed an order for a piece of furniture and received a confirmation email and expected delivery date of 2.5 weeks later. As the delivery date approached I decided to check the order status. It said cancelled! Emailing customer service, I received a note that my order was cancelled because it "did not pass an internal security review". WTF?!?!? If they needed to verify any of my information, they had my phone number and email address. I find it truly bizarre that a company would do this.
I ordered a bookcase on this site for my daughter as a xmas present on dec 12. When by dec 21 there still was no sign of it i called hayneedle to track it. They said it was picked up by fedex and didn't know anything else. Said they would call back. Never did. Called again and they said they were about to close and i would not receive a call back until mon or tues. Since xmas is on wednesday that would do me no good. Customer "advocate" could have cared less and was very snooty. I cancelled the order and called my credit card company to dispute the charge. I have never bothered to wirte a review of a company before, but the service was so bad that i am actually searching out sites to post this and warn others
I bought an item on Walmart.com which accepted my offer and was then passed on to PlumStruck to fulfill what Walmart promised. Product became defective but when I attempted to get a return merchandise number I was told my 30 days had expired ( a few days past 30). Walmart.com has a 90 day return policy. This is a warranty issue not a return issue. Guess I will have to work with my credit card company to get resolution.
Bought snow cone machine for my business and it breaks down after a month and a half and they cant replace it when I was told it had a ninety day warranty threw Hayneedle, plus I have to go threw the manufacturer to get it fix or replaced and the shipping is on me... this is awful service. I wouldn't recommend hayneedle.com to anyone ever. When you spend $400.00 dollars you expect better service.

My son purchased a beach chair through this company for $90 -- yes, $90 -- after one use the chair completely collapsed -- missing bolt appears to have been the culprit -- because the chair wasn't used within 30 days of the purchase, they would do nothing and Ostrich -- the maker of the chair does not guarantee their product!

They state free shipping then at the end say it's going to cost $40.00 but uses a non-freight company who says someone has to be there for the delivery (to be left on the driveway) to help unload the truck. So we pay for delivery and my husband has to help unload the truck. Yup, you read that right. They refunded us the shipping fee and gave us an additional $20 (I guess to cover the manual labor we have to do) and when we say this is unacceptable they say, "ok, we'll charge you the $40 and take back the $20 credit and find a way to get it to you". So after the numerous phone calls and back and forth, this is their customer service. Save yourself the hassle and buy from someone else!
