I was trying to pay my premium was getting no where with Ambetter my insurance through marketplace, I ask for a supervisor which was Janae Taylor, she went step by step, was very understanding and compassionate about my problem. My husband has cardiac issues and we're in the middle of procedures so I was in a Panic to get this straightened out. She was AWESOME! Kudos to Janae!' For outstanding job well done!

“Form 1095a”

Deb R.
3/8/24

My first year on MHS Ambetter and trying to do my 2023 taxes, I found out that I need to have a 1095a form, which I never received via mail or email. I can't even get on the Ambetter MHS website to print the form, because it sends me to the healthcare.gov website. When I do there, it only allows my to renew my 2024 application, can't look at my current application without an ID code, which I have no clue what that is. Can't even go to a "menu" to look for my 2023 forms. Now I'm on the phone with healthcare.gov, waiting to speak with someone. Go figure that the US government has to be this flipping difficult. I unfortunately retired early and needed to obtain insurance. What a huge JOKE! I hate this marketplace, Obamacare crap!

If I could give this site negative stars I would, but unfortunately 1 star is a low as I can go. Their phone support isn't any better. This is the 2nd greatest fraud perpetuated on the American people. The administration that produced this scam is the greatest fraud we have had to endure.

This website will confuse the heck out of you, i was beyond frustrated trying to enroll in coverage for my family. I decided to call the 1-800 number for assistance and boy I'm so glad I did. I received the best service from a young lady named Storie Jaye. No only did she help me enroll, she broke down every question to me so I could better understand! I'm so computer illiterate but this young lady deserves all the props in the world, sister girl did her thang! Only thing negative I have to say is that I wish she had a direct line! I suggest to everyone to call in and allow the reps to help you instead of trying to do it yourself...

Well I sent in my proof of income and some incompetent employee put in that I made 220,000 instead of 22,000 so I had to file an appeal. I am very technically challenged and couldn't figure out how to do this. I now have 2 weeks to get this appeal in but trying to do this on my computer has caused me great hardship. They say it's my responsibility to appeal their mistake and now I can't figure out how to get the form through this adobe reader so I give up! I'm so stressed out over having to appeal their mistake that I'm going to lose my insurance! I guess I'm just an idiot!

They all need to be retrained on what the exemption forms are and who gets the approval on them because you get transferred to different people and then they tell you to speak to irs because they don't know and then irs says you were supposed to speak to the marketplace they go back and forth on what and who makes decisions and then when you asking questions they don't know the answer so they go off talk about something else or put you on hold and they are keep having to ask somebody else and they don't even get an answer they just refer you to speak to the IRS and the IRS says they do not answer the questions about answers with health care exemptions. That the marketplace does it. You need to really retrain the people that talk on the phone.

What a load of crap! I was excited to learn that I would qualify for $583 a month in health subsidies. That should be enough to cover premiums on a good plan for one person. I quickly learned that wasn't enough to cover premiums on this truly worthless insurance. I would still have to pay $113 a month for insurance that covered absolutely nothing no dr visits or labs ECT until the insured paid over $7,000 in deductions. $150 would let me see the Dr. For $30 which sounded good until I did the math and figured I see my dr and get labs 4 times a year which would be about a years worth of premiums plus I'd be paying the $30 per dr visits. If I need extra work I'd have to pay $6,000 before the insurance paid for anything more. A complete waist of money.

I had to go through hell and back to attempt to log i to HealthCare.gov. I ended up sending a request to change my password. I answered every one of the security questions correctly, but then I received a message that I attempted to log in too many time and to try back in an hour. Piece of crap web site. Not only that, I received notice that my health insurance increased from $877 to $950 and I go to the doctor once a year.

This is the one of the worst government sites ever. It makes you enter the same information even after you save it, and then the application is in a perpetual state of being reviewed. In the past, they made me go through the process of trying for Medicaid, which, to my surprise (not), I didn't qualify for. The cost of the coverage is not affordable and the coverage is garbage. I think it is easier to go without coverage.

Terrible communication between employees. Don't bother with them. Don't even get involved. Don't know where to start with this company. They are all over the place. They constantly place blame on the insurance company and visa versa with the insurance company and Healthcare Marketplace. They don't know what they are doing and their not helping any one or themselves. Healthcare Marketplace needs to get their head out of the sand and get their business together.

Horrible. I signed up in December 2013 to give it a try. My application said I did not qualify. I called Healthcare.gov and asked the agent to delete my application. I called around to insurance companies to see the best price. I received insurance from Coventry and was paying full premium price. Needless to say, I receive a letter from Coventry in September 2014 saying my insurance would be canceled due to my request. Healthcare.gov requested that Coventry cancel my insurance because I didn't send them a copy of my passport. Are you kidding me? If you don't quality and ask for your application to be deleted, why would Healthcare.gov not let me go. Now in order to get insurance I have to go through Healthcare.gov? NEVER ever fill out an application. It tracks you and makes your life miserable. I just want them to leave me alone, but I can't get insurance without them now. HELP!

Since I signed up for Health insurance, every month after that they kept asking me to financial statements and I send them certified some know they received them. However, last week I got a notice letter stating that I did not qualify for the tax credit. I gather all the documents I needed to send to appeal on Friday, I called Monday and Tuesday to confirm if they received the fax, the answer was not yet. Today I called and was told they received the fax two days ago but nothing is in the computer. I then asked the rep. If she can document my call, the rep said she cannot do anything because there is nothing in the computer and my name was not showing up on the computer when they send the Notice to both me and my husband. It's unbelievable. I swear if I had the money, I would not bother with theses people but my husband need it and so I have to take their crap for my husband sake. Let's hope they don't misplace these documents again.

Tried logging into the site to check on health insurance plans, several times. Called the 1-800 number and voice message stated that the site is down for maintenance. Why doesnt the site state that instead of doing the circling act between the log in button to sending me to another site within that site. Stupid.

This $#*! is criminal. I'm a Vet trying to get insurance other than the VA. I'm paying for service, but yet this place says because I have service connected disabilities from the military and have coverage through the VA I cannot have insurance elsewhere unless I pay more than what my household income makes in a whole month. I tried to cancel my insurance in my name and the customer support line told me they can't take me off, and I have to continue paying until otherwise notified. Granted there is a refund at the end. I really shouldn't have to go through this when I did everything right on my end, and am being charged for a service that isn't providing it's end of the service that I'm paying for. What the hell are we paying for if you don't cover half the $#*! humans actually get in there lifetime. Healthcare.gov remember to have great health coverage you need to take a risk on people because without people you aren't $#*!. Signed the whole world!

Please, do not trust the people on the phone to understand Obamacare. They approved, without substantiating evidence, my husbands subsidy. We now owe ******* dollars. They will approve you and then shame on you. This Obamacare, in my opinion and experience is a ponzie scheme with no accountability by the government. Shame on Obama.

There was a discrepancy in the details of my plan on the marketplace versus my insurance site for 2018. I was trying to find out which sites information I should trust before I commit for 2018. The representative said she couldn't understand my sh*t and hung up on me. How hard is it to understand my plans description on the marketplace was different than the insrance website? That person should be fired, but who do I complain to?

The process to cancel insurance for my son who recently got a job with benefits was absolutely ridiculous! I tried to call and cancel two weeks before I wanted the coverage to end and was told I'd have to call on the date I wanted coverage cancelled. So, I waited until March 1st and followed their online instructions to "Report a Life Change". The site basically has you go through the entire application again (as if you're resubmitting) and then remove the dependent. I cover two dependents so I need to ensure that the other dependent keeps his coverage. I went through the whole application and submitted it. Then two months later, I received a notice from my Health Plan that I owe them over $600 for the months of March and April! They said they hadn't received any notice from the Marketplace to cancel the insurance. How can they be so messed up? I've already spent several hours on the phone today with both the Marketplace and my Health Plan trying to resolve this issue!

The site promises to have an affordable plan. I have applied for a 70 y. O. woman as a helper in a community center. The poor woman in the state of VA had to pay a minimum of $1330 a month.
The lady, according to the files that I had to provide for the site has practically no income and lives off her family and some savings. There is nothing "affordable" in Obamacare.

This is a by far one of the most expensive health insurances. Huge deductibles, huge bloodwork fees, outrageous ER visits because of the "off network" clinic/hospital etc... Sorry I did not have time to check Cigna's app at 3:20am while I had a massive nose bleed. When you call to select or renew your plan the people on the phone are sort of rude and very under impressed, not a good help at all, not a piece of advice. I ended up getting private insurance with more features and for $28 more a month. Affordable Care Act, yeah right.
If you are computer savvy just do everything online or search for places in your are where people can offer some help with this health insurance options.

We have called repeatedly to have this form sent to us.We would really like to have it before April 15th!
The web site does not except our account number and will not let us in. When we call we are told the login and account number have been reset, it is not. This has been going on for a year! These people are complete incompetents!
We paid every month for healthcare, Meritus, but the ACA only has us paying for 6 months! Meritus is not paying for medical care, lab tests and such that they said they would in writing when we signed up with them. We now worry that United Healthcare will screw us up next year too.
We had high hopes for this working. We are wasting our money.

TERRIBLE to work with! I was automatically enrolled in a new plan, unwillingly. When I spoke to someone a year earlier I was told if I didn't want the policy don't pay it, so I followed this advice... which didn't work! When I called and cancelled my policy on the 15th of the month I got a bill for the remaining coverage. I filed an appeal to change the date of the cancellation with marketplace only to be denied... remember this is a coverage i didn't even sign up for! After calling to try and delete my account so this doesn't happen again, I was told it can't be deleted because it's not open enrollment. This company is a joke and ridiculous to work with! Sooo much for saving people money with affordable coverage... what a joke! Now I'm stuck with a bill for coverage i didn't have or want! If i could give them a zero rating I would! So fed up with them! NEVER AGAIN! I'll go without insurance before i EVER go through this company again!

Taking advantage of people during covid-19. I submitted my financial change during covid-19 on the 16th they apparently update every 15 days which would land me march 31 and was still charged the full amount. High mark told me on there end I only owe 63.83 and just need the paperwork sent over. Health care.gov said, "sorry nothing we can do". This is disgusting and wrong. This is the third time I have been burned by this site. Its a joke, last year I didn't get coverage because I clicked the x out of a popup window and didn't press close so it apparently didn't submit so I had no coverage for a year and was told I didn't qualify for special enrollment period. The year before they chose a plan for me that was $600 a month and there was nothing I could do about it and was told I HAD to pay the $600 to change my plan even though I chose a different one but they already made the selection for me. DISGUSTING business practice.
