“HEAR YE, HEAR YE”

After much searching I bought Devices from "Hearing Life." Unfortunately the previous Tech. Pursued other avenues... but Leslie Murphy kept the service and professionalism of this facility alive. Leslie has been working hard with me to fine tune my hearing aids, and I'll have to admit, very patiently. Thank you Hearing Life and especially Leslie for your help. Egon S

Customer service lacking of a certified technician. Tech has a very sour disposition. Always seems that she doesnt want bothered with your problem. I have purchased new hearing aids in the past but dont think I will purchase from this center again.

Theresa was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. When you are seeking out a hearing care specialist at HearingLife, don't settle for anyone, look for Teresa and you won't be disappointed.

Where to begin? Despite this company claiming their motivation is to help "some ears hear better," they frequently display a much greater interest in making as many commissions and revenue as possible. A significant portion of patients are on Medicare/Medicaid and are essentially poor. They don't have two nickels to rub together. My provider goes out of her way to help patients and ensure they have a positive experience. However, this doesn't help in getting new patients in or getting them to buy hearing aids if they have a hearing loss. If patients don't have the funds, there is not much else we can do. The district manager we have lacks understanding on these issues, as well as how to respectfully lead and treat his employees. On numerous occasions, he has been disrespectful, condescending, and rude. The monthly and weekly teams meetings he leads are opportunities to highlight who's succeeding and who is failing, which he will be vocal and belittling about, unconsciously or not. Know this, your mental health will be affected in this job. HearingLife has potential but it has not reached it yet. The pros of this position are that you will have a stable job and income, although the pay is kind of low, and raises appear to be non-existent, at least for PCCs. The benefits provided are adequate. The company provides monthly bonuses in addition to your regular wage, but they'll be paid separately and taxed, resulting in a much lower and mediocre bonus. There are far better workplaces to be a receptionist/care coordinator for where you will be appreciated and valued for your efforts.

Brian has called no less than 10 tens from a different number in the past 2 weeks. He starts out saying he wants to schedule an appointment with my doctor. I have never been to Hearing Life. Actually I am an attorney and he is calling my office number asking for my client! Such a scam. My client is 92. I have advised him to stop calling, gave him a formal warning to remove my number and her name from his list of leads. TODAY, I advised him that this was call number 10 and the police were being called to report harassing phone callas and elderly abuse. He got mad, said he was not harassing me - was not calling from different numbers etc! I have 3 vm messages on my service from him calling from different numbers! ALL OF THIS ALONE SCREAMS DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

Very disturbed that this organization would call me on a Sunday when I never inquired about HA I'm 49 years old and have perfect hearing. Someone this agency for my number so I called them back. They are OPEN AND HAVE PEOPLE CALLING ON EASTER! The number comes up as spam and when I call back it's a call center they say there locations are not open today but there call center? You have people working on a SUNDAY and EASTER. I promise I will research there BBB report. It says "the Demant group" is the owner? Not sure who that is but be careful do not trust them. What type of company makes there employees CALL people on EASTER! Low class!

Underhanded tv ads! The announcer speaks through a very low tincan-sounding system, thereby making the hard-of-hearing think their handicap is worse than it is.
Despicable!

Ngytthat Rich Cargill has moved on, the office in Fall River is only out for thee money. They are not interested in the person getting what is best for their loss Just want to make a sale, Michael and his boss Greg, I think, what you to spend money my understanding is that Greg does not have a license and does not know ANYTHING about hearing.

Stay away from Hearing life also they have a sign that they are recording everything

As a musician playing loud music without ear protection for a major portion of my life, realistically, it was only time until I suffered significant hearing loss particularly the top end higher frequencies. Without these frequencies it was harder to understand speech and TV and I was losing touch socially more and more, slowly but surely. One of the additional excellent benefits of my hearing aids besides getting my top end of my hearing back is being able to listen to my TV in my hearing aids while allowing anyone else to listen to the TV at their own preferred volume. Recently I purchased a new Sony TV. When trying to hook up the connection unit to the cable box as I had done previously I was unable to because my provider upgraded my cable box to a newer smaller receiver without RCA plug ins that my old connection box did. Frustrated I contacted my local Hearing Life clinic in Kelowna and was greeted by a comforting voice. Maureen was very knowledgeable and helpful in helping me get the proper connections allowing me to plug directly into my new high tech TV. It is now a digital connection and Maureen walked me through the entire procedure including follow up calls to make sure everything was working properly. This is exactly how anyone representing such a great product should act and my hat is off to Maureen (I do not really wear hats!) Thank you,
Greg Bennett

Purchased hearing aids in March and as of now, July, still Hearing Life has not forwarded paperwork to my insurance company for reimbursement. Was told at time of sale would be reimbursed $3000. This swayed me to make purchase. I feel it constitutes Fraud and Attorney General in this state is pursueing the matter. Additionally a certified letter was sent to corporate ref. My plight. No response at all. Telephone calls from corporate was just lip service. Very disappointed with company.

Their sales scripts are old fashioned and inappropriate. I would not recommend to buy devices here nor would I recommend to work there.

At my first appointment for a test and hearing aid fitting, I should have listened to my gut when the provider already had "my" hearing aids out and charging. My first clue that I might not be getting the best personalized choice for me according to my exam and test.
I wore these for a couple of weeks and the technology wasn't as convenient as I knew hearing aids can be. I requested a different brand and was told "no problem!" I waited so long for them to call me when the new ones came in that I finally called them. I was ONE day away from my trial period on the initial ones being over. It had taken so long because the provider wasn't familiar with the software on the new brand. (I'm speaking of high-end hearing aids and well-known brands!) I would have missed the trial period exchange if I hadn't called them!
He did get the new brand ones programmed, but after wearing them for a week or so I knew the sound quality could be better.
I called for an adjustment appointment. After 4 messages and zero call backs over a period of 10 days, I finally gave up. They are obviously not interested in helping me with a brand they are not familiar with.
They clearly use one brand and only one brand. Now, I have a $6,000.00 set of hearings aids that I am not wearing.

I have made an appointment with a completely different provider who is familiar with all brands and software, and will now have to pay $500.00 to have these top of the line hearing aids reprogrammed and $65.00 per visit for adjustments after that.
The cost is worth it to me to be able to utilize my hearing aids and hear better again, but I should never have been forced into this position.
