After likely deleting my notice regarding items I won, I became worried that something had gone wrong. Upon calling and speaking with a very nice agent, I was quickly assured that my auction win had indeed been shipped slightly late. Sure enough it showed up in my mail the next day!
In current bids it says the name of the auction NOT the Auction House. No location to down load a resale tax form ahead of time. A bidder can't change their credit card it's just one choice. The return policy needs addressed because a number of these auction houses don't verify what they are selling. AKA selling gold filled as gold! Other options of payment would be good Zell, PayPal etc.
I enjoyed the experience of bidding but found several of my items broken when I got home yesterday with my items. Broken as in no good to me or anyone and will be trashed. Doesn't seem fair to not show photos of things like this and/or put in the description. The auctioneer was Bigfoot in Marion, NC. This will most likely be my last online auction.

It was good but I had 2 pages of stuff I had bid on and it had a total $ amount for each page instead of a running total and I spent more than I thought I had because the total I was seeing was for just the one page of stuff. My fault for not seeing that but I just assumed the total shown was for everything not just the page I was looking at. O well lol. Other wise it was good
I bout stuff from HiBid previously
Bidding on items seemed to be going well right to the end thinking I had won the items. After the invoice came back, I found I did not win, due to not getting to the minimum price, but there was no indication of it being a minimum.

During the first five lots my screen froze and I was unable to increase my bids or do anything else. I don't know if was my computer or the bidding site that was at fault.
That’s where the auction was
Auctioneers are very responsive to your orders and contact you very quickly, says a lot for a company then most of the other ones.
I like doing auctions and I can't say much more than that.
With HiBid it covers a number of auction houses. One log in and in am recognized. Easy to bid except when there is an internet glitch.
Ease of bidding multiple auctions
Started doing this because I saw a sign for an auction of Pasco County equipment and wanted to try for one of their trucks. I didn't win anything in that auction, but I learned a bit, and am now branching out into other areas such as collectibles and deeply discounted household items. Still working on that truck, too!
Just who was running the auctions
Frustrating to be forced back to the current bids page when you are kicked out multiple pages in. Jusr gave up.
A couple of times while I was trying to place a bid, there appeared to be some kind of disruption and I almost lost what I was bidding on because I had to keep trying to get the bid to go through.
That was the site the auction was run through.
I was the winning bidder on a utility trailer in Mattoon, IL yesterday. The bidding process is very straight forward, no issues at all. Although, making the decision if this was the trailer I wanted was difficult. I would like to see a better description of the item for sale. I would also appreciate more pictures from all sides of, for instance, this trailer I purchased. There were only 3 pictures of this trailer. Two of the front and one on the right side. Nothing on the left side or rear. I guess I'm spoiled, other auction services give me pictures from all sides, including tires.
I've been looking for a utility trailer for awhile. HiBid had a good selection and relatively close to home.
Bid on an item, go pick it up if you win the bidding, no hassles, miss the old time auctioneer calling the bids. Overall i would recommend HiBid
It is what came up in my feed
I accidentally made a bid on a fake item and could not figure out how to contact someone at HiBid about this person selling fake items. Nobody would answer my phone call within business hours
I definitely mean all due respect, but pictures alone do not tell the facts. When one lives 50 miles away, and can only bid sight unseen, it would be very good to have more in depth details about the items, other than "new". Clearly the item I picked up was not "new". The world won't come to an end, but I know I must be extra extra careful about bidding now. I know it's the buyers responsibility to "preview" the auction items before the auction, so I take full responsibility of course. But much better descriptions would be a great help. It's probably best to stay with local auctions. Thanks so much!
My local auction house used HiBid for a local online auction. The reason I am writing this is not because of their auction. It was a different auction 45 miles from my location.
Fairly good, until my 5 items came up, in a row, and then I had to refresh and missed getting a bid in before the soft close ended.
That's where I found the auction - didn't know I had a choice.
Love the platform on my PC but also easy to use/bid on my tablet and phone (I am generally reluctant to use my portable devices for things like this).
Hibid is where the auctions are! I have seen a couple of other auction services come and go, but they do not have the selection of auctions that Hibid has.
Overall, the whole bidding process from start to receiving the items, was painless and very efficient.
They tried to help in the beginning but I don't think they were able to affect the overall outcome.
Referral and online search
Was pretty much pleased but when picked up winning items item was missing they could not find it said they would look for it and contact me
They responded to missing item waiting on them
I have used this platform for several years. I have never run into any problems, there are several sites to choose from, user friendly and no issues.
It has a wide selection of auctions to choose.
While in the last minutes of my bidding the bidding froze and I was unable to rebuild, and I lost the lir, The auctions continued to pause and finally I stopped bidding,I had planned to spend much more
It the system used by the houses I like and know, They are good people
Great auction with no problems. Doesn't matter what clothes one has on while attending an on-line auction. Looking forward to next one.
Easy to use.
I've had a great experience I had one bad experience I bid on something and after payment I was informed they don't have it and I never received a refund.
Nemo auction I attend live and they hosted an online auction here
As usual easily navigated the site. We are having to prioritize our purchases related to the economy and being on fixed income.
Darr and Plainview are on HiBid.
The SAK people had no idea my bidding froze at the final moments of my bids on three motorcycles and were concerned about this happening. I also was not notified of my winning bids by e-mail or any other method. I am not sure but I believe something between my computer and your software or server. Might be something was overloaded handling 2 bid up dates (manually entered) between three items closing at the same moments. Fortunately my bids got through and I was high bidder of all three bikes as desired. It was an unpleasant evening and morning until it was finally verified that I won, but there were a couple of other important bids that could not be completed as your website froze me out of further bidding. Oddly the winner of one of these bids drove from Wisconsin to Central Il. To pick up the items (maybe $20?) an asked the auctioneer why I didn't bid on these items (which were for one of the motorcycles) little did he know I was blocked from bidding and watched it sell while frantically trying to "refresh" my machine to enter a bid.
No one there when my service stopped working (after 8 pm central) while the auction carried on. Otherwise pretty decent folks to talk to ---during business hours.
I like the auctions wide variety in Indiana and Illinois. I was initially upset with SAK Auctions but believe it was unfounded after speaking with them. I would gladly deal with them again. I think H-Bid soft ware should consider altering the closing times on higher priced items or when multiple items are expiring at the same time. Also a lot of bidders probably don't have the bandwidth for some of the situations that happen during bidding. Thanks! Eric S.
