After likely deleting my notice regarding items I won, I became worried that something had gone wrong. Upon calling and speaking with a very nice agent, I was quickly assured that my auction win had indeed been shipped slightly late. Sure enough it showed up in my mail the next day!
In current bids it says the name of the auction NOT the Auction House. No location to down load a resale tax form ahead of time. A bidder can't change their credit card it's just one choice. The return policy needs addressed because a number of these auction houses don't verify what they are selling. AKA selling gold filled as gold! Other options of payment would be good Zell, PayPal etc.
It was impossible to place last minute bids because the page automatically reloads, even when unchecking the box to reload automatically.
Local auction house
I bid and bid the auction is over and it just says you may have won this item. It has done this about 4x.
I have no idea what's going on. I always thought when it says the auction is over it's over. It doesn't start all over again. I think I won one auction since it said you won but it disappeared and I never heard anything about it. Like I said I am confused.
Never heard back. I don't see a place to go to and check to see if I got a response either. I am new to
this site but still the bidding is easy but that's about it.
I was looking for an online coin auction & it was one of the first ones I saw.
Been a good experience, the problem is I can't quit and I have no place left to put stuff.
The system as very smooth and easy to use. Billing is a breeze. I've used this system many times
It has many hidden gems.
As I understand the rules. If a bid came in within the last 60seconds that it would extend the bidding process by 3 minutes to allow for additional bids. I had bid on the 1882 Carson City Morgan silver dollar and had the winning bid until the last 10seconds. Then someone sniped the bid up 1 dollar extended the count down clock the 3 minutes. I tried to bid multiple times immediately and it wouldn't let me bid additionally although the clock that was extended kept counting down. The other bidder won the auction for just 1 dollar more. I was locked out and very angry to have lost it due to this issue. Had I been able to remove other bids from the format of the other items I won, you would not have sold me anything. The Morgan was the first thing to close. I'm contemplating contacting HiBid about this!
Because I get emails every day from HiBid.
Very easy to navigate and use for bidding on auctions from any where without having to be there.
Easy to use
I wish instead of updating every 60 seconds when time is running down after a bid it would show the actual countdown.
Saw things I liked
First time using Hi Bid. Had questions called Stacy. She was polite and professional. She addressed all my concerns. She's definitely an asset to your company.
I called Stacy
There was no way to jump to a certain lot. When I watched from my bid list or my watch list, I couldn't watch the countdown clock. Also when I upped MY maximum during the auction, it would add minutes to the clock. I one person bid it added 5 minutes. If another bid right away it added 5 more. Some clocks went up 30 minutes instead of adding 5.
For the auctions I’m interested in.
I couldn't bid on the last lot we wanted! I was bidding on it, was out bid, and when I went to bid again to be high bidder, it wouldn't let me bid! No matter what I did pushing the bid button! And time ran out, and the lot closed! It was cabinets/bookcases, my wife really wanted them! We would of continued to bid! But couldn't! Not sure why?
Things listed we were looking for!
The biggest were very responsive to real time.maintained connection during the auction.I will definitely be using Hibid again.
Trying different apps to see what carries the most items I am generally interested in.
When I try to click on the bid amount on my iPhone I have to lick below the bid amount. This is very frustrating because trying to keep up with multiple bids you want to be as quick as you can, not fumbling around which cost me to lose a bid. Other than that, great experience.
No one does live auctions anymore.
My experience with Treasure Hunters Auctions was amazing, however not so much with EC Auctions out of Stafford, Tx. With EC Auctions I won several Auctions that they then didn't accept, then they were auctioning off broken electronics and not advertising it. Once contacted they failed to return my call or email.
Hines has the best selection of auctions in my area.
I am a collector of several different kinds of items, knives, coins, sporting equipment and I love these auctions.
Mostly because of the way they run their business, no doubts, no questions! Everything is in writing.
There is a lot of good stuff offered, but check shipping details if you don't live close enough to pick up. If you can only spend a certain amount of money you might need to chose carefully and remember there are shipping costs.
When I was looking at different auction sites HiBid has variety. And I can look for specific things if I don’t want to look at everything.
The site froze up once, had to close out and go back in so as to unlock
I enjoy auctions
It's been a good experience with this site. They list a lot of auctions to choose from.
It's used by a lot of people. A trusted site.
During the last minute and a half i wanted to bid on an object and it would not let me confirm my bid after i pushed the bid button. So i lost my bid. I should have had a chance to bid the object up.i was prepared to bid far more than the item went for, however i couldnt confirm my bid.didnt know how to contact anyone.
It was recommended
It's nice to use the max bid option so you can do other things no rude people to get in yourway
Comfort of home to bid from hearing isn't so good anymore easier just to see what is happening
On my question about a product and pickup info. Only two days allowed for pickup as well.
zero follow up at all.
Hello,
I participated in an auction yesterday and am showing to have won a table I never placed a bid on. The table in question is
6c - CM2158 Maribelle 7-Piece Farmhouse Dining Set
I did however place bids on a different table being
Lot #: 75dl - CM2158 COTTAGE STYLE 6-PIECE TABLE AND CHAIR SET
I don't need both tables and don't understand how a bid was placed in my name for the first table mentioned. Can you please look into this and rectify the situation if possible?
Kind regards,
Brandon Tanguy
This is the message I sent to the auctioneer responsible for the auction and no response has been received. I've been charged in full including the dining set I didn't bid on. This needs to be rectified as soon as possible.
I enjoyed the bid process and the extension of someone bids late and extends the auction on that one item
Very much enjoyed the experience
Through a local auction
When emailing a seller, if I hit the "enter" button to go down to a new line it would send the uncompleted communication. I ended up sending 2-3 partial emails before I figured out what was going on. Clicking the Send button should be the only way to submit the communication.
While trying to bid on an item something locked up and couldn't bid. I had to exit the site and return by then it was too late?
The site the auction was on.
