After likely deleting my notice regarding items I won, I became worried that something had gone wrong. Upon calling and speaking with a very nice agent, I was quickly assured that my auction win had indeed been shipped slightly late. Sure enough it showed up in my mail the next day!
In current bids it says the name of the auction NOT the Auction House. No location to down load a resale tax form ahead of time. A bidder can't change their credit card it's just one choice. The return policy needs addressed because a number of these auction houses don't verify what they are selling. AKA selling gold filled as gold! Other options of payment would be good Zell, PayPal etc.
This is great site/platform which provides access to multiple online auctions which are reliable and where you can find pretty much anything under the sun.
I am still new to HiBid, but appreciate the ease of search and navigating.
Because it gives access to multiple auctions.
Late at night, I stayed up to bid on a few wrist watches. As I normally do, I registered 5 min prior to my watched items ending. I registered, received an email that I was registered, then placed a bid on the first watch. It went pending. Within a few minutes, my winning bid was rejected. I contacted the auctioneer and he stated "you didn't bother to register in time". Minutes later I bid and won two other watches. The auctioneer didn't respond to my next message and hasn't yet sent an invoice because "HiBid had problems and he needs to confirm things…" I won the watches at very good prices. I wish to purchase them.
I like the large inventory and variety, and especially the watch items function. This allows me to engage when items I want are ending.
It was very easy to bid on items I was interested in. The bids were updated quickly and accurately.
Quick and easy once signed up and know what to expect. Bidding is easy.
Have a number of good local auctions.
Despite my slow internet HiBiD is the least responsive platform of any I have used
I missed increasing a bid because of a delay in "Pending" I purchase frequently through online auction sales without issue but one auction house gave me a neg review after I disputed a double charge for shipping after a request for both small items to be shipped together in one box I have no recourse to give them an equally poor review but it affects any bidding I do through HiBid
I did not...but HiBid is the only option available through some auction houses
Didn't receive half of items shipped. Need to get a refund.items below what not delivered. I didn't even complain about some items broken in transit. I was just looking forward to items not received
* HiBid attempted to help this customer through the Sitejabber Resolution Center, but the customer did not respond
Winning bids in auctions, some sellers do not have complete information of my credit card that was given to hibid when i registered with you, like # on back of my card, i;m used to using paypal when bidding with unknown sellers,, i works very well for me
Also i purchased a few coins, very disappointed with the grading service. All the coins were cleaned,, this is a big let down for a coin collector, and one new to your hibid service
Trying something new
Five auctions have been easy and fun and economical for me.!
The online live contact person was very kind and understanding and patient and helpful!
Local Auctions easy to pick up. I did a trial bid and all went smoothly and professionally, so continued to a few more
Avoid auctioneers like *******612 ONTARIO INC as they are dishonest and do not ship your items out but will charge you for shipping and the items. Hibids unfortunately will do nothing to help you as they are just an intermediary. So if you don't really care whether or not you recieved your budded items I would just go find more reliable auction sites
I was a little lost but the employees helped me get my auction item and even put it in the truck all with a smile and treated me like I was a valued customer.
Only one know.
Everything went very smoothly and the site worked very well and no issues with the auction company
Ease of use as i cant get to the auction myself
Website crashed a couple times and would not load right when an item we were bidding on was coming due to sell. Also, wish in all modes there was a show all. Pain to have to scroll and when u loose your place by going in to look at an item. Should go back to where u were in catalogue option
Overall I have had a great experience on HiBid. But... Recently I have found 1 auction to be engaging in some questionable tactics.
AJCA is engaging in very questionable auction tactics. I have attempted to bid on emerald cut diamond earrings at least 5 times. Each and every time the bid will suddenly jump 300-500 dollars and ALWAYS ends up at $620 as the next high bid. There is only 5-8 people bidding. Please look it up!
If this were a one time event I wouldn't think anything of it, but a pattern has clearly been established. This is happening over and over again like clockwork. I have reached out to AJCA, with zero response, hoping they would explain the sudden jump.
I have strongly considered going elsewhere. I hope HiBid does something.
Friends told me about it and I found some great items.
First my fault for not taking a screen shot! But I'm thinking a couple items I bid on did not say X2 as far as the price on multiple items? When I look back it doesn't show any items as X2, or what ever the quantity of the lot is! Second I never got an invoice from HiBid as was stated in my email? Yes I checked my spam
Thanks, easy way to bid!
It chose me?
It makes you pay with a credit card. Also when you use the search feature, it searches more auctions than the one your interested in. I don't want shipped items
Available auctions
I bid on an item and "won". Went to pick up the item at the auction house and was told they were not going to release it because there was a reserve. No where in the auctioneer's literature was there any statement that there was a reserve. I called the auctioneer, he happens to be in my same home tow. He said they did not list it as an "absolute" auction. I bid $65. Apparently the reserve was $100. I refused to pay that. If an item on your auctions has a reserve it should be listed as such or at least listed as "reserve not met".
I but a lot of items on HiBid.
It was good until I realized that I didn't get the keys or manuals and had to return. Luckily I was only a mile or so away and not home in Kearney.
Website is easy to use and understand, can get good deals on products
Very good customer service and help getting set up for bidding
Liked the item I purchased
I suspect a LOT of shill bidding…my own suspicion, based on my own experiences. Not cool.
Website doesn't allow me to make address changes because the email on it, that I've used for years, isn't "valid". It is.
My watch list recently disappeared. After years of using, it's gone.? And there's been no reply from CS to help. It's frustrating, to say the least.
I haven’t been contacted
The convenience of it is wonderful….if it worked well/legitimately.
Good platform for bidding and precise countdown showing how much time you have to bid on the item your bidding on. No snip bidding at the end because it extended the auction by 2 minutes which I do prefer. It was my first time bidding on Hi-Bid,, good experience, good platform all in all very satisfied.
I've been on Hi-Bid for several years, but never bid on any auctions until this past Sunday 4-21-24. Was all in all a good experience.
Well I won an action no email at the end. Nothing I can't even find the action to call the place.
It actually use to be easy to use but the new update that’s terrible makes it a lot harder to find and bid on lots.
Absolutely easy to bid, no arguing over a bid, no l9ng days at auction, items actually reach a broader group
My auctioneer
I do not like that when i am bidding on a block it increases the time on all of of them
Choice of the auction
I bid with other sites that use HiBid with out much problems, but the site for Adams sucks. Why is it on this site only that when I sign on it shows all my other Want Lists? It makes it harder and confusing to use and also doesn't appear to allow me to go and look at previous auction detail. Adams Auctions is the only site that brings up these problems.
It has the most local auctions in my area

Hi Leslie,
We appreciate your feedback. While we require credit card payments for security reasons, we understand that this may not be convenient for everyone. Regarding the search feature, we apologize for any confusion it may have caused. We'll take your feedback into consideration for future improvements. If you prefer not to receive shipped items, be sure to check the auction's shipping policies before bidding. Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention.
Best regards,
The HiBid Team
